"Easily remedied, no?" Estinien shrugs casually. "We will make our own adventure. Unless you've been chained at the ankle, what keeps you from going where you please, at least for a day? If you want for decent company, well, I cannot claim decency. But we are friends, are we not?" "Of course we are." Io bumps her shoulder against his. "Alas, the chain is metaphorical, and therefore heavier than you've imagined, and it has everything to do with the title you'd rather ignore." He crosses his arms, steps slowing as they near Fortemps Manor. "You don't even mean to try?" "I did not say that! I only meant–" "Io, dearest! And is that Ser Estinien?" Haurchefant's voice cuts through her retort. She did not hear the door open, but she certainly hears it shut as he takes the opportunity to join them. "The steward said you were out on errands, but I never expected you to procure such a treasure as the nation's final Azure Dragoon. How are you, my friend?" Haurchefant extends his hand to Estinien, who clasps his arm with practiced neutrality. The tight line of his lips tells another story–his annoyance at this interruption. For a blessing, this goes ignored by Haurchefant, but there is comfort in knowing she is not the only one hanging to her charades by a thread. "Fine," Estinien says. His gaze follows the arm he's just released settling around Io's waist. "And pray, if we must prattle on about rank, 'Knight Commander' is the less abrasive option." Haurchefant's expression brightens beyond possibility. "You are returning for good then?" "For now."

I love that Ty is like "oh she's surpassed my freak but im good with it" cause he fully recognizes that it's his influence lmao. There was a bones episode where there was a girl that slept with tornado chasers and apparently there is a kink for weather events apparently so im sure he'd come around at some point, honestly I wouldn't be surprised if he already tried it and it didn't go great so he's hesitant to do it again 😂

The house has been so lonely without you. All the rooms feel so empty without you in them. One of the only plus sides is that, with you gone I was able to buy all of your birthday presents without you nagging me that I’m spending too much (by the way, without you there, I did spend too much, and I love it). CRIES okay so junhyeok has been just. my kid since loud right. i have quite literally been junhyeok blogging like an insane person since last fall !! when like four people on this website (if that) even knew who he was so it was like truly so lonely a;lskdfjals i thank god every day that i have tnxmutuals now... but my favorite junhyeok thing(s) are... his tenacity and how hard he works, and despite all of his raw natural talent he refuses to grow complacent... his open nature and how despite being the maknae within his own family instinctively and naturally looks out for others, especially those younger or less experienced than him (he was so so so sweet every time he had to work w/ the kids on loud)... and from a performance perspective, i love his voice and i love how he loves to sing and you can tell, and i love how very very expressive he is onstage!!

JUNJUN! birthday twins... tent besties... roommates... the way that sungjun i think really brings out a playful and delightfully petulant side in kyungjun while also being such a steady and level-headed presence in the friendship (and in the group in general) is so dear to me... they are like so clearly such fast friends that it's genuinely heart warming to me !!

hmmm if shtola and cori did not have feelings for each other i think cori/y’mhitra could have some potential for like a short lived relationship. she’s cute and smart and into the same things cori is and hangs out by a cute date spot 24/7!! i don’t think they’d run out of things to talk about but i also don’t think y’mhitra could handle worrying about shtola and cori like that, even more than she already does.

in their canon timeline though i think she and cori are really good friends and y’mhitra knows well before cori does or before shtola admits it that something is going on there 😂 so nothing would happen between them (poor shtola if it did though lmao)

When Corisande rose from bed this morning, it was with the intention of spending the day outside. They spent the past few weeks cooped up in the Noumenon and, as much as they enjoy assisting Y’shtola in her work, a restlessness is beginning to build in them, difficult to ignore. Perhaps they might take a walk with Cilantro, or make a picnic for themself and Y’shtola to share on a hillside overlooking the sea, or gather a new bouquet for the apartment. The day before them held a multitude of possibilities, and they looked forward to stretching their legs, whatever they decided to do.

But that was before they noticed the flurry of white outside while they made their morning tea, visible through a gap in the curtain. Before opening the door and realizing it was far too cold for them to spend an enjoyable day out of doors. Had it truly grown cold enough for snow overnight? Or had their time spent in the library made them ignorant of just how fast the seasons were passing?

Either way, it seems her grand plans for fresh air are postponed. Neither Cilantro nor Y’shtola are fond of the cold, and even Corisande would prefer a brisk autumn day over snow. She sets her tea on her bedside table and, feeling rather dejected, crawls back into bed. She will have to find something to do today, lest any further confinement sour her restlessness into agitation.

“Back so soon?” Y’shtola murmurs, voice thick with sleep. She reaches for them, hand outstretched, and Corisande laces their fingers with hers. 

“‘Twould seem I am meant to stay indoors today,” Corisande answers, rolling on their side to face her. Y’shtola’s eyes are still closed as she shuffles across the bed and tucks herself against them.

“Hmm,” Y’shtola mumbles into their collarbone. She presses a quick kiss there, the tip of her nose brushing across their cool skin before she rests her cheek against their chest. “I can’t say I mind the change in plans.” 

A moment ago, Corisande would have heartily disagreed. But she finds the restlessness in her limbs ebbing away as Y’shtola settles in her arms. She is a warm, comfortable weight against Corisande, her familiar figure fitted perfectly to theirs—from the top of her head tucked snugly under their chin, to their arms wrapped comfortably around her soft middle, to their legs tangled together beneath the comforter, Y’shtola’s tail curled gently around their calf.

Suddenly, another day spent indoors did not seem so terrible. Perhaps she could get a fire going, and make them hot chocolate to drink while they read together in bed, or not move a single ilm except to trade lazy kisses with Y’shtola. All options appealed to her greatly, though the last was certainly the most enticing.

She kisses the top of Y’shtola’s head with a smile, and Y’shtola’s soft hum of satisfaction reverberates in them. “I can’t say I mind it either.”
