Just had a look at my hosting provider and it looks like they're suffering an outage right now in the Central US region which is where RPThreadTracker is hosted. They are actively looking at getting it repaired and their last update was about 45min ago.

Unfortunately until this is resolved on their end there isn't much I can do so you may see RPThreadTracker outages until the situation is fixed.

I'll post an update when things seem to have been resolved. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes in the meantime!

Some people did some digging and it appears the restaurant catfish story was fabricated by a storytime tiktok-er who has a history of this sort of thing. So it's not so much "she found out" a restaurant catfished her as it is "she baselessly claimed" a restaurant catfished her (if she was even catfished at all). The tiktok-er also makes a bunch of tangential statements about another "victim" that have been debunked as flat-out lies.

Ok I did want to actually check this one bc I think the post as a whole had a very good point, but yeah they flat-out tag it as proship. Shouldn't be surprised.

To anyone who asks "if you agree with the point, why should it matter who made the post/why still disagree with proship on principal" — because I do not respect the type of people who proudly call themselves proship.

I guess in the grand scheme of things I would be called proship by others, because I am very much anti censorship and anti harassment campaigns. But like.... proship people are the ones who claim fiction has no impact on reality and refuse to examine themselves. They're the types to ignore the ways the material they create and consume can and possibly have been used to hurt others because ... fuck if I know. If the only way you can consume your interest happily is to pretend it exists in a vacuum separate from everyone else then maybe it's smth you need to let go of? At least in best case scenario. you aren't supposed to laugh at your own jokes, so you don't, but then you're too serious. you're not supposed to be too loud, but then people say you're too quiet. you aren't supposed to get passionate about things, but then you're shy, boring. you aren't supposed to talk too much, but then people are mad when you're not good at replying.

you fold yourself into a prettier paper crane. since you never know what is "selfish" and what is "charity," you give yourself over, fully. you'd rather be empty and over-generous - you'd rather eat your own boundaries than have even one person believe that you're mean. since you don't know what the thing is that will make them hate you, you simply scrub yourself clean of any form of roughness. if you are perfect and smiling and funny, they can love you. if you are always there for them and never admit what's happening and never mention your past and never make them uncomfortable - you can make up for it. you can earn it.

if you can just divide yourself in two - the lovable one, and the one that is you - you can do this. you can walk the line. they can laugh and accept you. if you are always-balanced, never burdensome, a delight to have in class, champagne and glittering and never gawky or florescent or god-forbid cringe: you can get away with it.

you stare at your therapist, whom you can make jokes with, and who laughs at your jokes, because you are so fucking good at people-pleasing. you smile at her, and she asks you how you're doing, and you automatically say i'm good, thanks, how are you? while the answer swims somewhere in your little lizard brain:
