hiiiiiii omfg bc ive been thinking about it and truly daya and aleida is one of the saddest arcs of the show. daya has to grow up with the most immature mom in the world so it causes her to have to take up that third parent role which is a really traumatizing thing to have to deal with as a kid. like that shit fucks u UP. amd then she finally fucks up and lands herself in prisonn with aleida whos finally trying to be a mom to her and daya is having none of that shit and i get it. daya slowly loses herself in a constant downward spiral and instead of listening to the people who have her best interests in mind (gloria) she listens to those who dont (maria) meanwhile aleida is finally trying to take shit serious fr but shes doomed because the system is fucking against her. she tries really hard to get her life together and mature up but the tables literally really do turn when aleida finally maxes it to max which is dayas turf
