FLESH I can't really share a snippet of yet because it's all a mess but ugh this is one of my faves. Think older Jackson!Joel, a man who has been struggling to connect with the world around him since settling in Jackson. When he meets the preachers wife (reader) he immediately becomes just so consumed with her. With lust, yeah, but so much more. She's something more beautiful than he ever knew existed. It's forbidden fruit, it's infidelity, it's pining, it's angst, it's pleasure, it's pain. I'm so excited to get round to tidying this and publishing it!

Cherry chapter 2, my beloved throuple I've been ignoring for too long :'( here's a little bit of it:

The moment you realise what you're doing, your stomach twists in shame and anger at yourself. Your hand jolts away, you try to catch your breath and shake the image from your head. "What the fuck is wrong with you" You mutter to yourself, pulling the sheets up over your traitorous body that's still warm from the thought of...him.

Aaaand Gym crush!Joel! My man. He's such a sweetheart, but also a very horny one. I've had so much help from @ravensmadreads on putting thoughts together on this fic and I've decided rather than a longform fic that didn't really make sense it's going to be a series of loose fit vignettes which is just a little more fun and playful!

I get a lot of dms and asks about more romantic fics with WS, and I am not sure if I will go that far. I'm on the fence.

Bucky endured extreme conditions for 70 years and that kind of psychological dehumanization lasts for a lifetime. He does slowly get better in the films yes, but not completely, and my fics will be no different. Especially since this blog focuses on his WS era only. I haven't really explored the intimate trauma end of it a whole lot and I want to, but haven't gotten that far.

Since the nature of this side blog is mostly for hurt/comfort, and taking into consideration the hcs about WS I have, intimacy is highly unlikely, for this series at least. Aside from it, I will write more 'x reader' types of fics yes.

I'm not sure how far my series will go.

He won't go back to normal, no. He never will. But, he is in much better care with the reader and their relationship will get to a point where he's not so afraid. The entire point of the series is to show his recovery with someone who doesn't want to use or hurt him and who genuinely does care for him. This kind of thing just takes time 🖤

i'll SCREAM if we get a mirroring scene where this time it's jun-ho who holds out his hand and says "come with me" to his brother, and then, and then!!! what if in-ho took his hand and they embraced and jun-ho tipped the both of them over the cliff's edge into the sea?? because they had both become monsters for each other and jun-ho knew they could never come back from this?? cue love crime by siouxsie sioux playing in the background, except it's not love crime but fly me to the moon and we realize the song had been about these two all along. (yes, i'm still eternally thinking about the moment in s1 where we pan away from in-ho's face after his haunting by the apparition of his brother in the mirror and the camera zooms in to his record player/the moving figures just in time for the "hold my hand" part of the lyrics to be sung, which is such a clear reference to the offer he made to jun-ho and how he wished nothing more than for jun-ho to hold his hand/join him.)

like, it's so funny to me when i see posts where ppl say they want in-ho and gi-h*n to go full-on hannigram by embracing and falling down a cliff into the sea together because... we already (almost) got that with in-ho and jun-ho!! this imagery/motif/seaside setting was already reserved for them - i'm sorry, but if anyone is gonna go murder-suicide like that, it's the hwang bros.

oops i went off there. but i agree 100%!!! miss their mutual obsession and cat and mouse games from s1 so, so, so much... wi ha joon had better not waste most of his time and talent on those damn boats next season or ELSE!!!!!

djaksds honestly like literally no. i havent done either of those. i used to copy frames from animatics i liked when i was like 11 but thats not shameful or anything i feel like that's the most normal thing in the world, kids draw what they like. ummm. no yeah there's nothing. one time i drew a really ugly self portrait when i was 9 and was fully convinced it was realistic

Pierre can't sleep.

It's becoming a habit, which is not boding well for his stomach lining considering how much more coffee he's been drinking because of that fact. Pierre just...can't sleep. There's not much he can really attribute it to, except for maybe the fact that he's a few months out from the big debut of his whole new fashion line--the latest Louis offshoot he'd been fortunate enough to helm. This is years of his life at stake: all that school and groundwork, all the bleeding and pricking and crying he'd done to find himself here, surrounded by fabric swatches laid out haphazardly at the desk kitty-cornered in his bedroom. There are stacks of photos and torn-up magazines out on his kitchen counter. His whole apartment is now a perfect parallel to his workplace: covered in ideas, wall-to-wall.

Hm. Maybe that's why he's becoming an insomniac.

Instead of paying the thought any more attention, though, Pierre slips out of bed and pads over to his desk chair, grabs the nearest sketchbook of his and flips to a blank page. It's not quite dawn, but there's more light than there was a few hours ago--enough to see what he'd left behind.

Charles is out cold. Completely asleep, drool and all. He looks innocent in ways that no photographer would ever be able to capture: forehead smoothed out with sleep, body curled in on itself slightly in the absence of someone next to him. Pierre gazes at him, sketchbook heavy in his hands, and feels the guilt in his stomach like a knife. He'd only invited his lead model over tonight for a review of their plans for the first walk-through with the clothes. (They have to move right, after all: Pierre needs to see his work from all angles in motion before he can be comfortable putting it on stage, even for a dress rehearsal.)

He hadn't planned for two bottles of wine. He certainly hadn't planned for Charles in his lap, warm and pliant and so, so easy as Pierre had given him direction: take this off and open your mouth and hands and knees. The memory of it makes Pierre's throat tight. So good for me, he'd mumbled after, mouth pressing just under Charles' ear, and the yes sir he'd gotten back had thrown him right out of his own mind.

He grips the sketchbook tighter. There's no way this can ever happen again, he knows--once is a mistake and he'll keep it that way.

From the bed, Charles snores lightly. It's a soft sound: sweet, almost. Pierre's chest is so tight he swears he must've forgotten how to breathe.

"Oh, Charlie," he whispers to the quiet of the room, "what have I done?" Nothing good, he's certain. Pencil in hand, Pierre tries to redirect his thoughts to the work laid out on the desk behind him--dresses with angular cuts, wide-arm sleeves, the jagged lines of a belt that's been nagging at the back of his mind since he'd axed the last round of the designs from his main book.

What he ends up with is this: Charles, in charcoal, curled up in his expensive sheets. The most damning evidence of his lapse in judgment, and he can't even bring himself to rip the sketch to shreds because it feels like a waste--a waste of beauty, even if it's a beauty he can't have.

Anything above 18°C, sunny with a light breeze. I also love it when it’s hot. Gimme 30°C 😎 Or rainy days, I also love those. Big fan of rain and thunder.

26. favorite activity to do in warm weather?

Play Pokemon Go! Love love love meeting up with our local community and friends and wander through London on a sunny day hunting for monsters. I also love sitting in a park (Hyde Park is my fave, but any park will do) with a snack and a matcha and people watch. Or drive to Brighton and chill there for the day.

27. favorite activity to do in cold weather?

Make my own matcha or a ginger tea and sit under my electric heating blanket and read fic or a book or watch a gaming stream or a show or a film. Make bracelets/earrings, write or doodle. Play video games. Sort my Pokemon Cards. Anything you can do on the sofa, really.

48. if you were a fruit, what kind would you be?

Paysage d'Hiver, though I don't think he ever tours. I'd die for a frozen Alpine version of Fire in the Mountains with PdH there though. For a band that does actually tour and just isn't doing so now, I'd love to see Misþyrming!

I think Cait would be super devastated knowing it was her Kiramman name that caused Grayson to be forced to take someone in. Throughout her whole time in Zaun, she kept trying to hide her last name. 1. Deliberately folding her napkin so the her family crest couldnt be seen in her failed attempt to clean vi's face 2. Telling ekko she had a friend on the council instead of saying her mother's a councilor 3. Not going through the kiramman front door

Hm yes this checks out with who Caitlyn is as a character. Caitlyn can't pretend she's not utterly privileged with her Kiramman status, but she does try to hide it in these specific instances. There's no doubt in my mind that her life isn't what's interesting to her the most. She would rather explore Zaun than continue to be useless as an enforcer condemned to a mansion outside of work.

I just don't think Caitlyn was ready to confront the reality that is Zaun and the danger that it brought to her. The deep corruption of the system, the blatant inequalities and such. She was concerned with helping people and understanding them as much as possible. Clearly, her heart is in the right place, so I'm sure she'd be devastated to find out about Vi's arrest and the fact that she was the propeller for justice at the time since she could have been severely harmed by the bomb.

Overall, she tried to hide who she really was until it couldn't be a secret anymore - when Vi entered her bedroom. It's lovely that their first real intimate moment was on her bed. She brought a Zaunite home. That's huge for someone of her stature. It shows her character development and her affection for Vi, too.
