OKAY!!! this is a strong start because while it definitely compels me always, i am torn between it making sense and not making sense. (i’m mostly talking about botw/totk zelink because i still have not really played any other games).

i think if you are going from the soulmates angle with the triforce than i’m very firmly “does not make sense.” because it’s kind of funny to decide that they’re soulmates (or something) because of the triforce but it’s only zelink. like it is the triforce. botw/totk ganondorf isn’t exactly a Regular Guy but yknow. and there’s also SO much grief around the concept of destiny and having their roles in the triforce be predestined in botw, so then the idea of their roles in the triforce making them be happy soulmates makes very little sense to me. i don’t think they’d like the idea of that being predestined! i am a sucker for soulmate au stuff but not always for zelink.

that being said, botw/totk zelink where it is more “you are the only other person who can understand me and the horrors we have both gone through” compels me and makes so much sense. i eat that shit up all the time, platonic or romantic. those two are probably codependent

my family went on a holiday to Europe and North America when i was two so i remember none of it but i’d love to relive that!
