“y/n-hyung!” a chorus of cheers greets you as you enter the practice room. 

“hi,” you smile, quickly reciprocating the hugs that yeonjun and beomgyu pull you into. 

soobin hangs back slightly, watching you greet the rest of the members before he walks over to you himself. “hi hyung,” he murmurs. you lean over to press a chaste kiss against his cheek in greeting as his arms wrap around your waist. 

“it’s good to see you guys again,” you smile. soobin’s arm remains gingerly wrapped around you as you join the boy’s in sitting in a circle on the floor.

“you too,” taehyun nods. 

“oh, kai,” you call, quickly pulling his hoodie out of your backpack before handing it to him. “i cleaned it at my place. thank you, again.”

“of course,” he smiles. “maybe next time i can lend you an umbrella.”

soobin glances over at you as the rest of the boy’s fall into their own conversations. “kai gave you his hoodie?”

you nod. “it was pouring so he lent me a change of clothes. does it bother you?”

“not at all,” soobin smiles. “i’m glad you get along with my friends.”

you smile, leaning your head against his shoulder. “me too.”

yeonjun pauses as he enters the living room; he squints as he slowly approaches you, making you cock your head at him in confusion. “what’s wrong?” 

“is that soobin’s hoodie?” he asks. he reaches out to grab the sleeve to inspect it before he dramatically gasps, bringing a hand up to cover his mouth. “why are you wearing soobin’s hoodie?”

“i’m sorry,” you say. “i was cold and he offered.”

“but you could’ve worn my hoodie,” he pouts. he moves to sit beside you, pitifully glancing at the hoodie every now and then. 

“i can wear your hoodie now,” you offer. yeonjun perks up immediately, smiling brightly at your suggestion. you chuckle, quickly stripping soobin’s hoodie off. you gingerly lay it across the back of the couch before tugging yeonjun’s hoodie over your head.

“there’s no need to be jealous, junnie,” you tease, snuggling into his side. he wraps his arm around your waist, tugging you even closer so you’re leaning against his chest. “i’m wearing your hoodie now.”

“you look better in my hoodie anyways,” he smiles. you chuckle, shaking your head as he nuzzles himself even closer to you. his hair lays sprawled out across your thighs. 

“whatever you say, jagi.”

“hi hyung,” beomgyu greets as he enters the dorm, walking over to sit down on the couch beside you. 

“hey gyu,” you smile, reaching over to wrap your arm around his waist. you pull him close to you so his head is resting against your chest; your bodies are snuggled together.

beomgyu grabs your hand, absentmindedly playing with your hands before he notices the sleeves of your hoodie. he reaches out to examine the sleeve of your borrowed hoodie. he dramatically gasps, bringing a hand up to cover his mouth. “why are you wearing taehyun’s hoodie?” 

“i was cold,” you shrug, stifling a laugh as beomgyu gasps once again. 

“i can’t believe this!” he presses a hand against his chest just over his heart before dramatically crumbling to the floor. “betrayed! by my own boyfriend! and my member!”

you laugh, watching as he smiles up at you from his position on the floor. “how could you do this to me?”

“forgive me, oh great choi beomgyu,” you tease, kneeling down to lay on the floor beside him. “how will i ever make it up to you?”

beomgyu sits up, tugging at the sleeve of taehyun’s hoodie once again. “you can wear mine instead.”

“lead the way.”

“that’s not mine,” taehyun comments as you walk over to sit beside him on his bed. he props his computer up on the blankets so it’s in between you before setting his phone aside on his bedside table. you slide underneath the blankets beside him as he shifts to wrap his arm around you. you lean your head against his chest, moving slightly to look up at him. 

“i know,” you nod. “someone spilled coffee on me earlier so yeonjun offered to give me one of his workout shirts to wear.”

taehyun hums in acknowledgement, turning his attention back to the drama playing on his computer screen. despite his lack of complaints, you can tell the shirt bothers him slightly.

you sit up slightly, tugging the shirt off before tossing it aside so it’s on a nearby chair. you make a mental note to give it back to yeonjun in the morning before you curl up against taehyun’s side once again. his face flushes at your bare chest as you look up at him, chuckling softly at his blush. “is this okay?”

taehyun nods, moving his hand to rest against the bare skin of your waist once again. “it’s perfect,” he smiles.

you smile as kai stumbles into the kitchen, still rubbing the sleepiness out of his eyes. he wanders over to stand behind you at the counter, snaking his arms around your waist. he leans his head against your back. “good morning,” you hum.

“morning hyung,” kai slurs. you turn the heat on the stove down before twisting around in his arms to face him before pulling him into a sweet peck. you both smile into the kiss; heat rises to his face at the intimacy of such a simple action. 

kai squints as his eyes fall to your t-shirt. he cocks his head in his dazed state, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion. “is that beomgyu-hyung’s shirt?”

you momentarily glance down at you outfit before nodding. “oh, yeah. i forgot to bring a change of clothes so he offered to let me borrow one of his shirts.”

kai pouts slightly. “you could’ve just taken one of my shirts.”

“you were asleep,” you chuckle. “i had to carry you back to bed.”

“yeah, but still…” he mumbles. “i like it when you wear my things.”

you wrap your arms around his waist, tugging him back against your chest. “okay,” you nod. “i’ll wear your shirt next time.”

Taehyun knows he likes you, he’s sure of it. The two of you are glued to each other, or at least that's what people think. Since childhood, the two of you would always go around together, if there’s taehyun, you must be there too, and vice versa. As he grew older, he noticed it’s not just their heights that grow, his feelings for you grow steadily too.

His friend says he should confess. Well he did actually, a couple of times, but indirectly and secretly. Like when you’re blasting up with your new headphones, he’ll quietly say ‘i like you’ and act like nothing happened. Or when you’re not paying attention or spacing out, he’ll secretly mouthed ‘i like you’ behind your back and smile like crazy. Or he’ll randomly send you a song that portrayed his feelings for you, and there’s many more. He just love the thrill of doing indirect confession.

Just like today, the two of you are supposed to have this cheesy rom com movie marathon. But there you are, sleeping soundly with your head resting on Taehyun's shoulder. He doesn’t mind, he actually liked it.

Taehyun's eyes are still glued to the screen, well he do steal some glance at you a few times, he just can’t resist it even though it’s not something new to him. He smiled at the current scene, where the main character asked their friend if they have any romantic feelings for them. And he just can’t help but imagine you’re the one who’s asking him that question, “so do you like me or not?” you raised your eyebrows and arms crossed in front of your chest, eyeing with a slight pout on your lips him while waiting for his answer.

He laughed silently at his own imagination, “thats right,” he moved a bit closer, smiling to himself before finally whispering to your ears, “I like you”.

Of course, no answer, he chuckled before he shook your hand softly, trying to wake you up, “wake up, you’re the one who’s suggesting this rom com marathon”

“I prefer this”, you replied, snuggling even more closer to him

“My lap is more comfortable,” he suggested, softly pushing you away from him, “and my shoulder won’t be sore”. As much as he likes it, his shoulder might be sore if you’re resting there for a long time.

You pouted in annoyance, which made the corner of his lips slightly move upwards because of your antics. You still follow his suggestion, resting your head on his thigh. While his eyes are still glued to the screen, you stare at him for a while before turning your head back to the screen. His hands found your hair and caressed it, hoping this’ll help you to drift back to sleep.

“Taehyun?” He hummed, “I like you too”.

His hands stopped and looked down to see you smirking in your sleep. “I thought you’re asleep”, he chuckled before caressing your hair again.

“No,” you shifted closer to him, “i just want to find an excuse to rest my head on your shoulder”, you said before drifting back to sleep, this time for real. He smiled at you before kissing your head and whispered, “sleep tight, i’ll take you out for a date once you wake up”.

Bored. Bored. Bored… There is nothing else you could do other than watch the time rifts all over again.

Different people doing something different at the same time. Portals of different dimensions were scattered around you. It is the only thing your eyes have been staring at since forever, and all it does is make you bored.

Stuck in such a world where you are supposed to be a watcher of rifts, it surely is boring. Sat on the floor made of brass, you played with your staff that resembled a clock’s arm.

“Pft- got nothing better to do, hm…” You turned your gaze to one of the time rifts. 5 boys played around the tree, all full of bliss and laughter. You chuckled, suddenly tempted to mess with the innocent children.

Your actions may have some limitations, but your mischief does not. It goes well with your time; limitless.

Quite excited already, you opened the time rift widely. The black and yellow border surrounded the portal. Your mischievous smile greeted the 5 boys, who stopped playing just to look at you. Their bewildered expressions did not fail to make you laugh.

“Look at you! How adorable,” you laughed at them while they went from bewildered to nervous… You mean, they are supposed to be.

A random person came from nowhere but a rift. They are not supposed to know such things exist, yet here you are, showing them just because of boredom. They all looked so innocent, so small- it was hard for you to let them go.

“Well, well, well, look who we have here!” You rushed to one of them. The boy immediately halted at your sudden actions. You leaned down to face the boy closer.

Your eyes - one brown and the other looked like a ball of gold… How is that possible? You don’t look like a human, yet you don’t look like a monster either.

“My, oh my… if it isn’t the director of time, Ministro Kang Taehyun!” You could tell their nervous expressions returned to surprised ones. Now, so many questions ran through their minds. Who and what are you?

“Did I not tell you to stop your mischievous acts!?” Your smile faltered when you heard the familiar deep voice come from behind you. “When will you learn that your actions have consequences, yn!?”

You got on your feet, happy to see the one and only director and fellow timekeeper, Kang Taehyun. You turned around to face the man. His brown and gold outfit slightly matched yours and he looked annoyed, but that was expected.

“I was bored~” you sang. Apparently, this brought even more stress for the male. Keeping everything steady in time was already stressful, now you keep adding up. He glares at you, but to his unfortunate avail, you kept your cheerful demeanor. Why must you do this every time he is away?

“We are going back. We cannot mess with time, yn! You know this already as a timekeeper.” Taehyun made his way to you, yet he was pushed back. You returned time to how it was seconds before. He was back to where he stood before. Again, he kept his glare at you.

“Why won’t you return alone? I’m having my fun here and you’re ruining it.” If there was another thing that Taehyun dislikes about you, it’s how you are always so happy about it.

You mess up time? You’re happy. Watch another suffer in time? Smiling. Get scolded by him? You’re enjoying it. Why must you make his job harder than it already is? Simple! Because it’s fun! It’s one way to cure your boredom.

“I am not returning without you! You are such a nuisance! Return with me or I’ll punish you for a decade.” Taehyun pointed his staff, which is very similar to yours, at you. You tilted your head, confused and annoyed at why he was still trying.

Does he realize you can make a decade long to a mere second? Why must he make having fun difficult?

“Come on now, my timekeeper Taehyun! Have some fun, will ya? All that watching and keeping time proper is boring. I do nothing but watch millions of time rifts and that’s it.” Annoyingly, your voice got deeper at the end of your sentence.

Your words hit him like a bullet. For the first time, he saw your smile falter. The male kept quiet.

“At least, you get to talk to people! At least, you get to do other things than keep an eye out for improper time. Unless touched, there is nothing wrong with time-” he cuts you off.

“And that is what you are doing right now. You are making the time of this world improper by coming here.” He argued. He expected you to argue back, however, that wasn’t what he got. You just laughed.

“Because I am having fun! How many times do I have to repeat myself? It’s boring just watching all that time rifts! Anyway, look at this!” You take the hands of the younger Kang Taehyun and pull him closer to you. “It’s you!”

Taehyun’s expression got darker, but you didn’t care. You kept your smile only to annoy him more.

“Isn’t he adorable? Unfortunately, he will become like you, a very boring person.” You turned to face the younger. “Don’t become like him, okay? You can have fun as well!”

Suddenly, you felt Taehyun grab your hand. “That is enough.”

“Oh my, oh my! Kang Taehyun has gone rogue! Are you finally angry? Will you give me a punishment that lasts an eternity?” You leaned closer and closer to his face.

It was only until then your faces were centimeters away from each other. You stared, with a grin, at Taehyun’s glistening eyes of confusion.

“Is your patience for me running out?” You laughed while Taehyun only looked taken back. “Say little one, why won’t we go on an adventure?” You turned to the younger Taehyun.

“Yn, don’t you dare-” you ignored him.

“Let’s have fun, shall we?” You pulled him closer to you as we opened another time rift. The child let out a gasp, his hand immediately grabbed onto your coat. You turned to Taehyun, your mischievous smile still resting on your lips.

“Catch us if you can!” With that, you and the younger Taehyun fell into the time rift in the ground that you opened.

Before he could catch both of you, the time rift closed.

-yeonjun knew how you loved to wear his shirts, the material being larger than you always made you feel protected in them

-so it was no surprise that whenever he comes over to your place to stay the night, there would always be a piece of clothing he would claim be ‘accidentally’ left there

-it wasn't like you minded, anyway, it was no lie that your boyfriend loved seeing you in them as well

-his favorite one had to be the plain white shirt, one he had actually worn plenty of times when you had started dating him, but in the end had ended up in your possession after countless of times he had stayed over

-”cute,” yeonjun chuckles when you had met up with him at a cafe for your usual sunday dates, seeing you wear his favorite white shirt, “i wonder what the material is? oh that's right, boyfriend material,”

-which will lead you to give him a smack on the arm, causing him to chuckle

-because that was exactly what he had said on your first date as well, when he had been wearing the exact same shirt, and for some reason was now your usual hello whenever you met up, followed by a gentle kiss afterwards

-not that you minded, anyway

-soobin owned a bunch of hoodies, you knew your boyfriend got cold really easily, and he was never one for fashion, so it was understandable for him to own so many

-and the pros of having a boyfriend that owned a plethora of hoodies? you were able to steal some without him noticing

-apparently, soobin was attached to all of his hoodies, so whenever he sees you leaving with one of his hoodies, he would instantly whine and pout, calling you a hoodie thief

-but you know, despite him not saying it, that he likes it. especially with the way he whines into your neck when he hugs you before you leave in his hoodie, you know he always lingers a bit with an idiotic smile on his face

-another pro of having a boyfriend with countless amounts of hoodies that he wears a bunch of times is that it smells just like him, like pastries and the bakery he frequents at; and the crumbs that sometimes cover it just explains it more

-overall, soobin is a sucker to see you in his hoodie, so do it more

Choi Beomgyu

-your boyfriend was really into soft material, like the soft person at heart he is, and despite thinking he was into dark clothing like the ones he wore the first time you met outside of school, you were quite shocked when you had raided his closet and only found soft outfits

-primarily, cardigans, which is what beomgyu usually wears whenever you go out ever since you had found out your boyfriend’s little secret

-beomgyu was a cheesy person, so it really wasn’t a surprise when it was him who initiated you wearing his cardigans

-”it’s cold, wear this!” beomgyu beams adorably when you both had been strolling out at night one day, just before the winter season had invited itself onto the streets of seoul

-”don’t worry, beomie, we’re almost there,” you laughed at his enthusiasm, and when he had merely stopped in his tracks and pouted like a child, you had to suppress rolling your eyes

-he truly was an endearing individual

-”alright, alright,” you sigh, a small smile on your face when beomgyu’s eyes light up and wrap you in his favorite pink cardigan, the sleeves rolling past your fingers

-beomgyu grabs your hands and places a soft kiss on them, “that’s better!”

-it had all started when you had told him you had nothing to match with him for a party yeonjun was holding, and he had offered you his denim jacket which he had owned that was just your size, probably slightly longer, for the night

-only for it to end up in your laundry for the following day, and the next, and the week after until it had became something you owned

-taehyun was not always vocal about the ways he showed love and it was never a problem to you, but the way he had almost every weekend told you to switch jackets with another jacket he owned- simply because the one you had lost his scent already- had made your heart swell with happiness

-taehyun loved it when he sees you wearing his jacket, especially when he sees you in pictures when you were out with your friends

-because it was a piece of him he had left with you, and it was something you had treasured deeply

Huening Kai

-kai had an odd habit of leaving his sweaters out in the open whenever he comes over to your place, your boyfriend wasn’t known to be a messy person, but for some reason, he always brings more than one sweater on a cold night even if he wasn’t even staying over

-the reason for that being in the form of a night where your boyfriend had commented on a couple on tv that was wearing matching outfits, claiming that, aren’t they cute! let's match too, y/nie! I brought my sweater for you!

-and the sweater you had ended up with was a light blue one, a small print of a penguin on the chest pocket, and it had originally belonged to kai. it had started when he had asked you to choose out of his closet, and you had shook your head and pointed to the one he was wearing, and he (although with much pouting) had gave to you

-it had started as wanting to go out with matching outfits for the day and ended with you actually liking the sweater, and started wearing it more than once, and in the end refused to return it back to your curly haired boyfriend

-which honestly, doesn't bother kai at all. especially when he comes running to you with a happy, “that's my sweater!” whenever he sees you wearing it, embracing you in a hug that always left you warmer than the material itself

Hello! This is my first story on here and for some reason it is really sad. But, I will write more happier stories soon! Hope you enjoy! :))

Angst, fluff (if you squint)

Taehyun smiled sweetly as you sat yourself down into the passenger seat of his car. The music played softly through the speakers when you smiled back at him and handed him his favorite coffee drink. His eyes lit up momentarily and his smile maybe got wider but he looked away with a faint hint of rose coloring his cheeks and he took the drink from your hand. "Hey, don't be so nervous about this. I even got your favorite drink." Taehyun met your eyes again and smiled and took a drink from the straw and smiled again. You set your drink down into the empty cup holder and shut the door. He put his drink into the cup holder as well and pulled out of your driveway. "I'm not nervous. I swear." Taehyun kept his eyes on the road but adjusted his collar of his suit nervously. You rolled your eyes and turned up  the music. You rolled down your window and stuck your hand through and grabbed the drink and took a sip from it, letting the sweet drink calm some of your nerves. If you said that you weren't as nervous and Taehyun, you were lying. Your stomach swam as thoughts raced through your head of what was to happen in the next couple minutes. You set your drink down and smoothed out your dress and pulled down the mirror to check your hair and makeup. Taehyun stole glaces as you did so, when your hand went to fix a stray piece of hair making your tongue stick out in concentration, he smiled. When you then went to fix your necklace that you always wore, you looked at him. He looked dashing in his suit, the navy blue suited his skin well and the pink rose pinned to his jacket tied everything together. His hair was neatly swept to one side and you could tell he was wearing your favorite cologne - but you would never tell him it was your favorite. He reached down to take a couple more sips of his drink, but was still focused on the road. You smiled a little to yourself and watched the outside flash by as the music changed to another favorite of yours. You hummed along this time, taking in the scene that was unfolding around you. But, when Taehyun slowly pulled into the school parking lot your stomach started to twist and turn again. You played with your fingers and chewed on your lip, not caring about the lipstick that was adorned on it. When he finally pulled into the parking spot, Taehyun turned to you, smiling. He noticed that you wore your favorite perfume, but he would never tell you that. He also saw that your dress was the one he helped pick out when scrolling online with you during class one day. He finally noticed you in the way you wanted him to notice you. But, he would never tell you that. "Are you ready?" You asked suddenly. He blinked at you and nodded his head. You took your drink from the cup holder as he turned off the car and got out. "Hey," Taehyun said suddenly, you looked up at him "you look good tonight. I mean it." You faltered for a moment and looked down at your feet. This was what you were waiting for, some words that would tear you down and ruin your night. "Hey, save those words. You can't say those to me!" you smiled and laughed at him, walking over and shoving his arm a little. "Also, that delivery was weak, you have a minute to work on that." You grabbed his arm and tugged him towards the school doors. The bass from the music inside was already hurting your head, and not helping your current situation. "Taehyun!" A voice called. You turned your head and saw Kita walking towards you and Taehyun. You dropped his arm and waved, taking another sip of your drink to calm some of your nerves. When Kita got to you she wrapped her arms around Taehyun, he smiled the widest you have ever seen and his eyes crinkled in the sides, he only did that to you when he laughed. "You look beautiful tonight." You heard Taehyun whisper to her and she gave a small giggle. "I will catch you guys later, have fun." You smiled at Kita who whipped around and grabbed your hand and smiled. "You look beautiful too." "No more than you," You managed to get out with out sounding on the break of crying, "don't have too much fun though." You winked at Kita and smiled at Taehyun. You dropped Kita's hand and turned around and starting walking to the school doors. Tears threatened your vision as you walked, the tightness in your chest worsened as you tried your best to keep them down. But, this was prom. The only prom you will ever have. You would not let your long-time crush, your best friend, ruin your night because he was with someone else.

But you would never tell him that.
