People asking which one we get between Jack Skellington and Oogie Boogie, while I'm sitting here in a Comm class thinking "Why not both? Lmao". We all recognize them easily, so having it a twist(heh) of both, with Jack's being a hero character and Oogie being the main bad, could work out with how they actually are.

How Yana could go about it, idk, we'll have to wait and see. But honestly, am so fucking hyped for it. But what exactly do you think could be a possible plot idea or what do you think could happen in the event?

I don’t think it’s strange at all that people are speculating which character will be the one twisted. Yes, Fellow and Gidel were introduced as a pair, meaning that there is no limit or precedent set for there only be one new character revealed. However, it’s very clear that Fellow was the star of the show, as he has the stronger presence (and ended up getting the SSR as well). Ultimately, it does mean they end up being treated like a single character rather than individuals anyway. So really, I think most fans are still running on the logic that only “one” can be twisted.

The problem with Jack and Oogie is that they are both strong presences, neither dominating the other when it comes to being attention grabbing. Fellow and Gidel go together, but Jack and Oogie are opposing forces, not teammates, in their own story. This makes it hard to predict which of them will be twisted and makes it less likely they’d be crammed into the same card.

(ncbsbsvwjwheisn NOT GONNA LIE, I’m really hyped for a twisted!Jack Skellington… but a part of me is also really attached to my OC that’s twisted from Jack 🤡 That’s not to say that I don’t want a canonized one; I think I’d actually ASCEND if we got a twisted!Jack Skellington for real!!! It’s just that I wouldn’t know what to do with my OC after the fact 🤷‍♂️ Something similar happened with my Snow White OC when Neige was introduced in book 5 www)

A popular idea I’ve seen in circulation is another isekai plot where either the students go to Halloween Town or the Nightmare Before Christmas characters come to Twisted Wonderland from Halloween Town. I’d wager that’s a pretty safe guess! Like… they’re doing their Halloween parade prep and there’s a new character disrupting things. Maybe they’ll have to pull off a heist or kidnapping of some kind?? 🤔 It would be funny if the NRC boys had to help play matchmaker for a Sally and Jack/j Personally (and this is a stretch), I really would like to see some kind of casino or gambling element because I love those design details for Oogie’s lair. Not sure if it would make sense being a large part of the event story, but it would be cool to consider.

Anyway I redrew Buggie’s Culinary Crucible card because I was REALLY not happy with it originally. My shading was super harsh and stuff.

Also I was thinking about how none of the canon characters pull their HAIR BACK in these cards. Like ppl with short hair are fine but JAMIL. PUT THE BANGS AWAY /hj

So Buggie pulled its hair back AND took out the dice earrings for Culinary Crucible because it knows proper cooking etiquette. Which is REALLY funny to me simply because of How Buggie Is Usually

"I... y-you've got to be shitting me!"

Jesse Dean fell back on his haunches, staring down the board set before him in horror. Six times now had he lost; not just to anyone, but the new student who hadn't even an ounce of magic within them. Or so he had thought. And here was that same human now, popping gummies casually, hiding her grin behind each chew. The student had definitely made a name for herself, dressing in bright greens and baggy hoodies. The hood itself on her current hoodie was a peculiar one: it had a bright, gaudy stitched smile, evil dark eyes, and ended in a point. Almost like a certain bug creature he couldn't quite remember. He eyed his rival in front of him, who had constructed such a game he had zero experience over. At first, Jesse had been grazed with beginner's luck, but not long until his betting chips piled up behind the student.

Finally, the girl let out a sigh. "Look, I'm gettin' all bored and wrung out. You really gotta find some way to pay me back."

Anger flashed through Jesse's eyes. How dare she disrespect a member of the Savanaclaw household? She had no right to be here, only staying because the headmage took pity.

"You've gotta be high as fuck on sugar if you think I can cough up that much now!"

Scarlet chuckled, a crimson glint of mischief in her eye. "Figured as much. Which is why I came up with a backup plan."

At this Jesse's face lit up, however switching to confusion quickly as the girl held up a necklace. Hanging at the bottom was a tag, simply reading Fido.

Wasn't that a dog's name?

"Listen, where I come from debtors had their own way of showin' who they need to obey. If they couldn't pay a debt in time, they were made into a housepet. Guys were Fido, girls were Mittens. It was only temporary until they paid off their debt; and you, my friend, have racked up quite a lot of it. It's less humiliating than you think, really. Given that no one else here likely knows the housepet system, it'll save you from the bullying." Scarlet smirked, offering the indebted student the necklace. "Be my Fido, do what I say, and I'll keep any targeters off your back 'till you repay me."

Jesse frowned. Just what the hell did being a housepet mean? But really, he had no choice. He couldn't bear the thought of letting it get out that a girl, a normal girl for that matter, had beat him in a game of life or death. He snatched the dog tag, quickly hanging it around the neck. Jesse was met with a chuckle from Scarlet.

"Thanks a bunch, Fido."

Now, with the 'Nightmare before Christmas' event fast approaching, how does it feel to know that there's a high chance of your old Oc coming to life? What was his name again? Ah yes, Jinx Skelton I think. Old follower here 👋

Even though I have to be honest I doubt we'll get any new characters this Halloween. I mean wouldn't it be strange for them to release new characters every Halloween? First it was Rollo then Fellow and now again? I doubt it honestly. Besides the thought of seeing a bishounen Jack Skeleton scares me. I love seeing new characters but at times point I'd rather have more information about the mysterious 4-year students.

I'm not sure if I'm following what you're saying about the possibility of new characters though...? We may have had only Rollo and Fellow so far, but it seems to me that TWST has found a winning formula and an excuse to pump out a new limited SSR card every Halloween meaning more money for them. I don't get why they would backtrack now and do a whole event themed around a Disney property but NOT introduce a new character they can make bank on come next year. The first two Halloween events weren't themed, so it makes sense that no new character was introduced. Because this upcoming one is so blatantly going to be Nightmare Before Christmas-themed, I think it's all but guaranteed that we'll see a new face. adugkvqwodivqdi I JUST WONDER... WILL THE THIRST FOR THE NEW CHARACTER EXCEED THE THIRST OF FELLOWIVES??? Especially considering that the regular Jack Skellington is already a Tumblr sexyman????? Only time will tell...

I understand the anticipation for fourth year student lore, but I don't know that a Halloween event of all things would be good timing to make them relevant? So far, we only know that they temporarily return to campus for cultural fairs, in which NRC demonstrates the fruits of its labor to the general public. The fourth years would probably be better reserved for another kind of event or even later in the main story.

I honestly hope Skully isn't an antagonist because we've only had him for literally 2 days and I love him so much. Its like I forgot how wonderful it is to be treated genuinely nicely because Yuu is sorrounded by assholes all the time. I wanna wrap him in a blanket, take him back to Ramshackle, and have a Tim Burton movie marathon with the rest of the Halloweed antagonist redemption squad (of course Malleus can come, too). I love him so much and I just want him to be happy and I am sorely tempted to make a new OC just to be a companion for him.

I mean look at him! He's a funky little skeleton twink whose special interset is Jack Skellington! How can anyone possibly dislike him when he's the Gomez of twst?

Ohhh I get exactly what you mean Lex. 😔 The things Yuu goes through is terrible. So having Skully treat them so “gentlemanly” (their words, though Leona says otherwise lol) is really felt by Yuu and all of us.

I haven’t really heard of anyone disliking him. I’ve seen everyone love him…and that is exactly why I think he’ll become the villain 🥲☺️

Because the ones we don’t always see coming? Are the ones who treat you with kindness. The ones that made you relax (well, not the nrc boys lol), and the one that you can feel for/relate to.

That’s the villain that usually shocks us.

I would love to see them change from their formulaic introducing the “evil character” and getting surprised by the actual villain for this event. (Maybe oogie boogie), but with the way Skully is acting right now? The hints? The fact that what he says doesn’t add up?

I have a feeling it will be him. Maybe in cahoots with another villain. 🤔

But what if…Skully is oogie boogie in disguise? Or the three trio kids?? What then?

It’s still early in the event to tell what may happen. I’m excited to see how the event unfolds and most of all, I’m excited for the ending.

Malleus and Leona could tell something was off with the book, so I wonder, will they remember 🧐

I can’t wait to see it play out 🥳

Yuuki has been having trouble finding love... but Victor is on the case! He has decided to host an event to find Yuuki their "one and only!" and you're allowed to participate! Fight for Yuuki's love, and you might win her heart! This event will act like a raffle, where I'll randomly pick a winner to be Yuuki's significant other. Though, platonic entries are okay too, you'll become Yuuki's bestie!
