I just finish read chainsaw man cap 123, and, i just have an idea for Yuu overblot
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SPOILER CHAINSAW MAN CAP 123!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like, look at this design this is beautiful, I don’t have any ideai  to why i like this that much.
But when i look at it, I just could not stop think in overblot Yuu.
Just imagine, Yuu bones begin to break and multiply, his neck disappears and his head drops to the ground, he takes his head in a new pair of hands, his eyes bulge out of his face, his nose and mouth bleed, his feet become hands. That would be so cool and scary.
The only thing I would change would be the clothes.

I am very concerned about the novels.....if we do make it to book 7 with the twst novels, how will they write about diasomnia arc?? like.......it cant be less than 1000 pages i assume, since the first novel has 400 pages and like.......not even half as many chapters......i really hope they dont cut the plot short........ or do you think theyll make more novels about diasomnia arc instead of adding it into one book
Tumblr media
To be fair, that 400ish pages covers both the prologue and Heartslabyul; I’m sure it would be somewhat shorter if the prologue and Heartslabyul were their own books.
If a single book can be split into multiple movies, then maybe the same can be done for light novels…? 🤔 It’s possible, like you said! Either that or we’ll get a super long volume for the seventh volume of the novelization because there’s really no word cap in a book. I don’t think they’d cut down on it, especially for such an emotional journey.
What I’m more concerned about is the manga adaptation since that is actually published in a monthly magazine and therefore has limited time + space to tell its story. It’s going to be very difficult to cram all of the events of book 7 into like… what, 20 chapters? (I’m using Heartslabyul as a basis; at the rate Savanaclaw and Octavinelle are going, it also feels like they’re both of ending around the 20ish chapter mark too.)

Promise
Summary: Idia and Cater meet on the beach as children and make a promise to be friends when they grow up
A/N: This is the start of a new one shot series where a variety of TWST ships (romantic and platonic) meet as children in a short yet sweet moment before meeting again at NRC years later. I've been reading lots of romance manga about childhood best friends that fall in love so I went for that kind of vibe with Idia and Cater's story. I really enjoyed writing this~! <3 (AO3 link included for easier reading)
Word Count: 1.3k Ship: Idia/Cater (romantic) CW: mentions of loneliness and judging physical appearance

The sea is calm and the waves rush softly against the shore. Just out of reach of the water’s edge, a young boy sits alone in the soft sand. A few wispy, blue curls peek out from underneath the black knit cap on his head. He stares at the far off horizon with a miserable expression and heaves a great sigh.
“What’s with the hat? Aren’t you hot under there?”
The boy lets out a yelp of surprise and swiftly looks behind him. Standing in the sand a short distance away is a young boy of similar age with light orange hair and gentle green eyes. The orange-haired boy smiles cheerfully and raises a hand in a little wave, “Hiya! My name’s Cater.”
The boy sitting in the sand stares gloomily at Cater for a few beats of silence before he finally mumbles, “...I’m Idia.” He then turns his attention back to sulking at the ocean.
A small, amused smile lights up Cater’s face and he laughs quietly. He walks over towards Idia and sits down in the sand next to him. In a friendly voice, Cater asks, “Did you just move here? I don’t think I’ve seen you around before.”
Slightly taken aback by Cater’s cheery personality, Idia shoots him a puzzled look and then quickly looks away. Nervously running his hands through the sand, Idia replies in a quiet voice, “I’m just visiting. I came with my dad to attend the conference in town.”
Cater nods his head and says, “Oh yeah that’s right. There was some big tech conference happening today, huh?” He looks up and down the empty beach and asks, “But then, why are you sitting on the beach all alone? The conference center is pretty far from here. Did you get lost?”
Idia’s shoulders stiffen up and he turns to look at Cater with an irritated scowl on his face. He shouts, “I’m not lost! I just-!” He abruptly stops when he sees Cater’s gentle expression. Idia’s face flushes pink with embarrassment and he turns away with a small huff of frustration. “I ran away,” he mutters quietly.
Cater tilts his head questioningly, “Why did you run away?”
Idia closes his eyes tight and frowns, as if trying to block out a painful memory. In a small, faltering voice, he answers, “Everyone… wouldn’t stop staring at me and whispering. It was like they thought I was… a freak.” Idia opens his eyes and looks over at Cater. He studies the young boy’s face, looking for any hint of judgment or ridicule. Seeing only care and worry in Cater’s expression, Idia finally lets out a long shuddering breath and reaches up to take off his hat.
“I don’t really look like everyone else,” Idia says with a tired sigh. Soft blue curls, glowing bright and flickering like fire, tumble down from inside the black knit cap to rest against his shoulders. A gentle sea breeze brushes his hair against his pale cheeks and his lip trembles as he whispers, “I bet they’re all saying how ugly and weird my hair is.”
Cater, with an unreadable expression on his face, watches Idia for a moment and then shakes his head. Smiling reassuringly, he says, “There’s no way anyone would say something like that. Trust me.”
“How would you know?” Idia glares reproachfully at the other boy.
Shifting his weight a bit, Cater moves so that he’s sitting a little closer to Idia. He raises his hand, as if to reach out and touch Idia’s hair, but freezes when he sees Idia flinch in surprise. Letting his hand drop down to his side, Cater smiles and gently answers, “Because you’re the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen.”
Idia’s eyes open wide and he stares at the boy for a minute, speechless. As he gazes at Cater’s kind smile, he feels his cheeks suddenly flush bright pink and he quickly turns away to face the sea. Cater studies the profile of his face and laughs quietly to himself when he spies a tiny, shy smile bloom at the corners of Idia’s mouth.
The two boys sit in silence for a few minutes and watch the waves together. Idia steals a few bashful glances at Cater before finally asking in a quiet voice, “Now that you know why I’m here, can I ask, what’s up with you? Why are you here alone?”
Cater, not expecting such a direct question from Idia, turns to him with a startled expression on his face. However, he quickly composes himself and resumes wearing his usual cheerful grin. With a light laugh, he explains, “My family moves around a lot for my dad’s work. We just moved here recently so I haven’t made any friends yet.” He turns back to look at the waves, still smiling brightly and quietly adds, “Although that’s probably for the best considering we might move again soon. I don’t think anyone would want to be friends with someone like me, someone who’s just here for now.”
With a mixture of confusion and concern in his eyes, Idia says, “That’s such a sad thing to say with a smile on your face...”
Cater’s expression softens when he sees Idia’s worried frown. Shrugging his shoulders, he gives Idia an appreciative look and says, “It’s okay. I’m pretty used to it.”
A thoughtful silence falls over the pair once more. The only sounds are the soft crash of ocean waves on the shore and the lonesome cry of a seabird far off in the distant sky. Idia peeks over at Cater and studies him for a moment, watches the wind ruffle his orange hair and how far away, lost in thought, his green eyes look. An expression of quiet determination settles on Idia’s young face and he takes a steadying breath.
“We could be friends.”
Cater turns to Idia in surprise. Seeing the unquestionable sincerity in his face, Cater’s eyes sparkle with hope for a moment. However, a thought suddenly hits him and he smiles sadly. In a hesitant voice, he replies, “I’d really like that but… you’ll be leaving as soon as the conference ends, right? And I’ll be moving away soon too.” Cater tries his best to keep smiling but, when he feels hot tears threaten to spill from his eyes, he covers his face with his hands. “I really want us to be friends, Idia! But how are we going to stay in touch when I keep moving around all the time? We’re just kids who have no say in where we go!”
Idia reaches out to Cater and gently uncovers his face. Holding Cater’s hands in his, he says with uncharacteristic resolution, “Then I’ll just come find you when we’re all grown up and we’ll be friends then.”
With a stunned expression on his face, Cater stares at Idia and quietly repeats, “When we’re all grown up?”
Idia nods, “When we’re adults, we’ll be in charge of where we go and what we do. Once we reach that point, I promise, I’ll definitely come find you and we can be together. We’ll be best friends and we’ll play together every single day!” He smiles at Cater and his eyes shine as if he’s looking at a beautiful dream, “We’ll never be lonely ever again.”
The tears that Cater has been holding back until now finally fall down his cheeks. Breaking out into a radiant smile, he starts to laugh with joy and relief. Using the back of his arm, he swipes the tears from his eyes and then turns to face Idia. Raising his hand with his little finger extended, Cater asks, “You’ll come find me? Promise?”
Idia smiles back at the boy sitting in the sand beside him. Raising his hand, he gently curls his little finger around Cater’s.
“I promise.”

Finally back to writing after my weekend of convention. It was nice but not enough small creators to my taste.
Warning : no proof reading, English is not my mother tongue.
If you are interested in reading this fic, the tag "#twst lmsyy" will give you all the chapters.
─── ・ 。゚☆: .☽ . :☆゚. ───
During the following week, Victoria mended the roof little by little. The real test would be the next time it rained. She wasn't impatient about that.
By the end of the week, she finished the roof with the children's help to transport the broken tiles to the trash can.
And as if the Great Seven heard her, it rained delicately. The woman ran like a madwoman across the dorm to see if the repairs were working. To her delight, there were only one or two tiles to change. She congratulated herself. She did a great job. She thought it would be more catastrophic than that.
She thought hard in her bed. Next big event would be the Magift tournament with Leona's overblot. It would mean that soon there would be multiple cases of mysterious accidents and the children would have to investigate. She wasn't particularly fond of Leona. She understood why he acted like that but she wasn't fond of how he decided to handle the situation. It was dangerous and if badly done, there could have been someone in a coma or worse, a dead person… That night she prayed to Buddha so the duo would not be hurt.
A few days later, she surprised Grim, Yuu and the ghost playing Magift. So it has begun… That also explained why she had a humongous list of repairs to do in the stadium. Everything needed to be spotless.
That evening, Victoria saw multiple news channels speaking about the NRC's Magift tournament. Everyone was excited to say the least. She thought a bit. Maybe she could ditch the event …? Bad idea, she would miss the match with Ramshackle, she needed to capture that moment ! Urgh, to mom or not to mom, that is the question.
It reminded her of how she used to film the family cricket tournament back home. It was fun to see, everyone was arguing on who won the match and she was just the referee / cameraman. She loved those moments. Full of nostalgia, she watched a few of her family's videos she had on her phone. She shed a tear. She missed them a lot. Like when her cousin Rajeesh would discuss with her on which metal band was the best or, when Priya teached her new dancing moves. Or when Kali wanted to play with dolls with her while everyone was discussing who Nila should marry.
Surprised by all those names ? Well her father was a Caucasian man adopted by a lovely Indian couple. Wasn't expecting that, Imma right ?
The day after, Victoria spent her time doing her chores while Yuu and Grim began their investigation. She hoped that they had  the little Sherlock Holmes costume like in the manga. She needed to take a photo of them wearing it.
When she was done with the chores of repairing the stadium toilets, she went home and thought about the next thing to repair. She looked at the walls. Those were in a dismal state. If she was doing those, it meant to take the frames off, buff the wall paint, paint the primer then paint the wall green and white. She sighed. Quite a lot of work ahead. A lot of Giktok to do, but the children could participate in the final painting stage. Then she wondered if, like the game, they would find the crafting gauntlet and hammer. It would be funny to have Yuu and Grim design their own room. It would occupy them while Victoria did the heavy reparations.
Her deep thinking was stopped by Yuu and Grim coming back to the dorm. They both had the little cape and cap !
She improvised a little photoshoot saying that her babies were 'so cool' and 'like true detectives' ! Her camera roll was full of new pictures. She also did a little video for their Giktok account writing 'The detectives are on the case!' In the caption.
Afterwards, Yuu and Grim explained why they had such costumes. Victoria listened to them, nodding at important parts, followed by some 'oh', 'ah' and 'interesting'. She just hoped that no one was too hurt.
That night, they watched some Magift tournament on the TV so they could understand the game better in real situations. Grim was overjoyed to take part in such a tournament -if they resolved the mysterious accidents of course-.
The next day during lunch, she was with Crewel and Vargas. She showed off her babies. “Look at them with their little costumes ! Aren’t they cute ? They look like proper detectives from a novel !”
Vargas was impressed and Crewel asked. “Where did they get those costumes ? It looks… a little cheap.”
Vargas laughed. “Don’t break her fantasies, Crewel.”
Victoria shrugged. “Apparently it is from the headmage. So it is not top quality.”
Crewel sighed. “Of course… That bird truly has the chic to give his work to others. I mean those accidents should be investigated by him.”
Vargas nodded. “Maybe he has other more pressing affairs ?”
Victoria choked on her drink and coughed a lot.
The himbo looked at her, worried. “Are you alright ?”
She nodded.
The fashionable man spoke. “I think she meant by that that he seems to have nothing going on.”
She took a deep breath and spoke in a cracked voice. “You know me so well, it is frightening.”
