Ramshackle Pack Heights - 1/2

Drawing this was an exercise in anatomy, but also so I can accurately describe the First Years in my AU and express some personal headcanons about the bois.

(Approx) Height chart of all NRC I made so I can finally check what's the size difference between the characters I draw.

(Including Idia's full size and slouching and Vil's normal height and height with heels)

Was anybody gonna tell me Cater, Azul, and Silver are the same size?! What do you mean Ruggie is taller than me?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN JACK IS TALLER THAN THE TWINS?!! Anyway, that was insightful.

EDIT : I counted Malleus' height without horns, as I did Ruggie/Jack/Leona without their ears. It seems however (after some searching) that Malleus' height should have been counted WITH his horns! Might be the same for the beast men. I shall update this soon!

(All y'all have the explicit permission to use this however you see fit for your art/writing/etc. I know I'm not the only one struggling with size differences lol)

Only a select few are allowed to touch Jamil's hair: Najma, Kalim (only on very special occasions) and Yuu.

Najma's self explanatory, that's his sister and they often do each other's hair. Kalim's only when he stims, Kalim likes the feel of Jamil's hair and often plays with it. Yuu puts Jamil's hair up in a variety of braiding styles, and without magic, can pull off Jamil's exact braiding style. Sometimes, Jamil returns to Scarabia with colored hair extensions braided into his hair. Yuu and him often talk while she braids and works hair oil and the like into his scalp.

Jamil's favorite color extensions are red, black, and light brown.

And yes, Yuu and Jamil do spill the tea when they talk.

The Howl Famliy

Another character design for @whererubbermeetstheroad's fic. I could not not do the Howl family when Bailey is so cute and Shepard sounds like a goddamn MENACE.

I was actually super excited to design the Howl family because I had a lot more to work with. Both idea and source material wise (yapping session incoming)

I will be providing only one moodboard this time because a lot of the reference images included members of my own family and old pictures of myself, which I am not comfortable sharing. But here's the general consensus of what I was working with:

So Shepard is based on the Sheriff and Bailey is based on Bolt (headcanons provided by Rubber), but Jack parents are from my own brain!

There's speculation Jack's namesake come from the author of "White Fang", Jack London! So I based his mom off of White Fang herself. London coming from the author, but also being the original owner of the fang necklace Jack wears.

Jean Howl is based on the Wolves from Beauty and the Beast. His namesake comes from the author of the original book: Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont. While she wasn't the original author of the originally book, she did write the version most of us are familiar with. "Jean" == Masculine version of Jeanne. Although, Joh was a very strong contender.

Okay, I can draw fanart now. See you in a couple days o7. I hope I did them justice Rubber.

Perse's flower/plant nicknames to the twst cast!

My oc Perse Achillea is based off of Megara from Hercules and possesses elements of Persephone from Greek mythology, and so I thought it'd be fun to give each of the cast (and my own OCs) a flower/plant nickname! These go similar to how Rook and Floyd nickname other characters!

Heartslabyul.

Riddle -> red rose; means passion.

Ace -> gerbera; its red version means unconscious love.

Deuce -> flax; means love and care for your family.

Cater -> mimosa; means "I hide my feelings".

Trey -> shellflower (apparently another name for bells of Ireland); means good luck, prosperity.

Savanaclaw.

Leona -> calendula; means insecurity, jealousy and anxiety.

Ruggie -> dandelion; means resilience and strength.

Jack -> clematis; means hope, perseverance, and determination.

Octavinelle.

Azul -> begonia; means "beware!"

Jade -> aconite; means hatred and "be cautious".

Floyd -> borage; means bluntness, directness.

Scarabia.

Kalim -> aster; its white version means "I love you more than you love me".

Jamil -> coriander; hidden worth/merit.

Pomefiore.

Vil -> dahlia; means perseverance and determination.

Rook -> edelweiss; means devotion.

Epel -> camellia; means "you're adorable".

Ignihyde.

Idia -> no nickname.

Ortho -> no nickname.

Diasomnia.

Malleus -> calla lily; means magnificence.

Lilia -> peony; means rebirth.

Silver -> gladiolus; means integrity, strength and victory.

Sebek -> verbena; means sensitivity.

Jeanne (Octavinelle) -> buttercup; they represent childish behavior and are an invasive and prolific weed.
