Well I am in utter pain. I don’t think there’s anything else that sums it up.

Gotham Knights, you were an absolutely brilliant show, and I hate to see you go. I fell in love with the characters, their lives, and their relationships, and I so desperately wish I could see more of them.

We finally got Two-Face and he did not disappoint in the slightest. I need more of him. Like now. Especially with Harvey still wishing to be a dad to Duela. This is crucial for my well-being. Misha deserves the chance to explore that villain arc (and being a father arc too).

Goodness, I cried so many times tonight, and it just goes to show that this lovely show holds a high place in my heart. Thank you for everything.

He has only moments left to live.#I honestly thought LQR died (adaption memory blur) and I did *not* expect him to show up here.#That said it does act as a way more personal blow to LWJ's reputation for LQR to be there.#By staying on WWX's side he's not only throwing his reputation to the wind but also facing familial judgment.#It hits so much harder when the choice isn't an easy one to make.#Choosing to stand at someone's side when they *have* actually messed up - when they do have faults and flaws - that's love.#Love is hard work! Love is not low maintenance and good days every day.#Love is being able to say 'I am choosing to bear your weight when things are heavy.' Love is doing that reciprocally.#Which is 100% a real life lesson I am passing on #And also a plea for why it is so important we give credit to WWX's atrocities.#He *did* do some of that shit. He isn't fully innocent and it gives LWJ's choice so much more weight.

When Katsuki Bakugo needed saving, Izuku came up with a plan where Todoroki, Iida, and Kirishima went rocketing across the sky to reach him.

When Izuku Midoriya needed saving, it was Katsuki, Todoroki, and Iida who went rocketing across the sky to reach him.

Both times, our Twin Stars decided to set their own needs aside and allow the other’s trusted friend to take the lead in bringing them home. Izuku knew Kirishima was the right choice to get Katsuki away from the league quickly and safely, and Katsuki knew Iida was the better man for the job of catching up to Izuku and bringing him back.

Can we please just take a moment to appreciate the parallels. Please.

I keep seeing people say buck has never gotten a breakdown moment and every time I have to reply well what's all this then

#i get that it was different from eddies in the sense that eddie's was the climax of his mental health arc and led to his healing journey #but sometimes a breakdown is just a breakdown and there's no immediate relief #(not that that was the case for eddie but for us the audience we saw him truly start to heal within the next two episodes)#buck just picked up his pieces and put himself together again into a recognizable shape #until the shooting and the crane brought it crashing down #and then he existed in a self destructive limbo all of season 5 until season 6 where we're finally FINALLY starting to see him heal #but that doesnt take away from the fact that the warehouse was a full blown breakdown after three decades of slow simmering misery #and the heartbreak grief desperation in his face is one of the most devastating things this show has ever done #evan buckley #911 fox #weewoo brainrot

#at some point i wanted to make an illustration for each character but in retrospect maybe each is multiple song-coded..#drew the sketch for a quincy thing after a chat with a mutual reminded me this song existed dfsghjkl and then spent weeks rendering this #quincy cynthius martin #adamandi #i'm finally done with this! the saints especially were joys to paint and the halo a menace.... this has been the most ambitious one so far.#but it also took quite long because i only worked on it <engages with quincy> when mentally okay to deal with the themes. i'm not religious #but i do identify with the irrational(?ish) guilt + family legacy + academic achievement + disregard for self. also more complex thoughts #about love [but depsite quincent being a large part of quincy's character this piece deals with mostly the Rest of it. so another time..]#anyways! in the original sketch- the saints had heads bent towards quincy so the halo spikes pointed at him. but this worked better! halos #of the saints implying/creating one for quincy was a concept from the start though. in the show they don't touch him directly here but #differences in mediums i think- i don't have time in an image to craft a narrative so everything has to be happening. also artistic liberty #misc inspiration for this includes stained glass windows. i might have maybe misinterpreted the saint costume but i think i logic-ed it out #as the cloth part following a nun's habit w the hood. and then halo above. the material is also more transparent originally but i had. um.#too much fun painting fabric folds.. if you look closely you can see the basis of faces though behind the cloth; but only the vague shapes #because smth obscurity + inhumanness// cassian is the only one i gave a mouth though. that stems from melliot's post about the saints and #st cassian as spokesperson (<- did research teehee!) that's also how i found out which costume = which saint. speaking of which.#left to right: 'st lucy take my hand' // 'st lawrence give me strength' (presses quincy forward; but hand on shoulder connotates guidance)#/'st cassian help me smile' (quincy's mouth is btwn a grimace and a smile; tilts up at side. also no direct touch bc added insidiousness.)#//'st jude [...] i hope your causes burn' (jude's hand is in two places to show movement- nearing the flame and then snatching back; burnt)#other notes: at the midst of the flame the core is shaped like a human heart /the saints and their wax are all melting like the candle for #fun visual effect and also this way they are even less tangible <real>. perks of painting as a medium i guess. // also insp from icarus?#wax and burning imagery; looking at the halo and rays as parallel to sun that burns. too close to the sun; melting; hurting; hurtling //#candles at bottom are a nod to the frankly gorgeous set// also the entire composition kind of stems from the lyric <what use is a candle if #both ends aren't burning>; the two sides between the concepts of catholic guilt and academic perfection that spur quincy #the halo above (saints and guilt; litanyofthemartyrs) and the 'halo' below (academic papers; insp from choreo for perfect at school)#the papers were originally supposed to be more glowy. but i like the idea of it now being a reflection of how quincy's priorities shift #also of note is that <candle> in centre = quincy; w burning candle + aforementioned heart in flame -> most human; idea of love + passion #last thoughts: kneeling + hands close tgt = prayer //wax dripping onto the red As make an effect that looks like blood. because i like #hiding that within the adamandi pieces :OO continuity!! // i've run out of tags but yeah! had fun with this one! every so often i go a #little insane in making art and the final result astounds even me. ngl i'm quite proud of this one. pretty colours <3333

okay someone has probably said this before but i only just got to act 3 so i don't dare go into the tags to find it

but it's so fucking creepy that mizora replaced his eye with a sending stone tuned to her

like. THAT'S HIS EYE. can he see through it no but that's his fucking eye. and in the same battle that ruined his life she uses that newfound disability, that newly hollow place, and fills it with herself

like i can believe he lost his eye in the fighting or at least lost functionality of it due to smth cutting across the surface of it or smth

but the way that that is then used by mizora to spy on him, to track him—this message that he isn't his own, no matter what he does, because he sold his soul for his city and lost everything for it, and really, why wouldn't his own body be the next thing to go?

you see this again if you save karlach, and mizora turns him into a devil

this message of you are not your own, you are mine, and i can do what i please with you

and it's SO FUCKED UP. IT'S SO FUCKED UP.

especially considering how she ruined his life and then keeps cutting at him in little slices, little bits of cruelty and condescension where he can't fight back until he internalizes it, how long has it been since anyone cared for him and not just what he could do for them

and on top of that his fucking eye is a sending stone tuned into mizora and he can never even be truly alone

#agatha #agatha all along #can you tell that im so so soooooo bitter about the finale #like i get that some people loved it #good for you #i dont and i'm dying on this hill #yall have every right to be happy about it and talk about how happy you are about it!! but pls keep to your lane #i spent two hours going through the agatha all along tag and there were a handful of people going #the finale wasnt that bad look at the bright side you should be happy about how it ended #bitch. dont tell me how i should enjoy my media #why did she see the darkhold in the cradle and why that reaction?#'is the how nicky died' i dont understand how that prompted her to take such a huge risk #also??? why does rio wanna see agatha die so badly??#and when she did die where was rio? all that build up and fighting without any conclusion to it??#rio just disappeared no conclusion no confrontation not even a word before she kissed Rio and gave her what she wanted which is her death #the build up was really good but the pay off really fell flat and felt rush and agatha ended up feeling like shes sidelined in her own show #even when she had tons of screen time! it just fell flat like agatha deserves better she deserved change and growth and development #she deserved confrontation and facing her feelings not all this continued avoidance and shifting focus onto Billy #she's done too much to have this half assed conclusion to her arc that was built to set up someone elses story like the direction it went #was so gross like every other character had really well written and developed story arcs and conclusions and hers was just???? deflated???#im not even asking for a full on backstory about their relationship bc the show isnt about agatha x rio lmao #them having a happy ending doesnt make narrative sense. what im asking is simply tie up the threads they sewed into the narrative

This is your sign to get back into playing that video game that you love but put down a long time ago and never picked back up again for no discernable reason

#started playing breath of the wild again a week or so ago after a youtube video about why we put down games showed up in my recommended #i can link the video for anyone who wants it but the most helpful advice in it for me was to just. try playing it for two minutes #if all your fears were right and you cant get back into it then you can put it right back down after the time is up #but if youre enoying yourself then you can keep playing #a big part of my fear was that i wouldnt be able to handle the combat anymore after going like a good couple years without playing it #bc one of the biggest things i love about botw is that for the most part. link doesnt level up #theres no attack and defense stats that level up as you earn experience and make him mechanically better at fighting #for the most part its YOU the player leveling up your fighting skills with practice #...but that also meant that after so long away from the game i was scared that i would have lost all my skill at it #and the learning curve would be too great this late in the game (literally the ONLY main storyline thing left for me to do is fight ganon)#but i played for two minutes and i remembered how much i loved the game. like firsthand not just vague recollection #so ive been running around doing side quests and exploring and now it doesnt feel like im stalling the final battle anymore #it feels like im just intentionally taking time to fully experience the game #and after getting combat practice in again with my exploration im finding out that my fears were wrong!#if anything im even BETTER at combat now than i was when i put the game down #back then i was still terrified of facing lynels and walking guardians #but now im taking them down before they can even get one hit in on me!#im so proud of myself and im having so much fun #so. for anyone else out there. this is your sign to do the same #rambling #maybe once i finish breath of the wild i can even finally start on tears of the kingdom 🙏

#csiedit #csi cbs #nick stokes #george eads #george eads thirst club #mk.op #mk.gifs #mk.edit #csi 7x21 #story time:#so as another in a long list of things i was exposed to long before becoming obsessed with #and after weeks of people telling me 'mk have you watched the last of us yet'#about three weeks ago i did finally sit and watch it #and then i sat and played the first game within like two weeks after that #and now here i am #completely satisfied and my face wet with tears from what i think is the best adaptation of anything converted to a tv show #and that first exposure came from me playing the game at this party i went to years ago at this place that's like a fun little arcade #but with console game systems #it was a work thing and i wasn't super social and so i started playing it but never picked it up after that #though i was told it was a great game #flash to now and lol it's funny cause i knew ashley johnson from her appearance in this episode of csi #so now that's two connections TLOU has to CSI given that pedro also guest starred lol #but anyway yeah. completely obsessed #been playing the second game all weekend #and spent the day rewatching the show up to the finale #it's nice to forget about the real problems i'm facing right now and just...immerse myself in something like this #as emotionally charged as it is lol
