Chapter 15, Summer Bugs

The Duke sat at his desk with his head in his hands, surrounded by a sea of papers. His hair was askew; he likely hadn’t slept in a couple days. 

Hypatia marches right up the steps of the raised platform where the desk sat and comes to a stop in front of it, ignoring the seat next to her. Here she waits, a little out of breath, glowering down at the man in front of her.
