Yes!!! It would be so chaotic but joyous at the same time 😔 they would all be yelling at each other but in a fun way and laughing and getting icing all over each other. Soda and Steve eat too much of the icing so there’s hardly enough smh. Johnny is discreetly eating the cookies before they’re decorated and he’s so slick about it and it’s driving Pony insane bc he’s like “I swear we had 6 cookies how do we only have 4 left 🤨🤨🤨” and he cannot figure it out. Darry gets super artistic and into it and his cookies are actually super pretty. Two-Bit is good as decorating as well and he makes cute festive cookies to take home to his sister. Him and Darry are the ones everyone goes to for help like cutting the tip of the piping bag/frosting tube, making sure the cookies are cooled down enough, etc. Dally just puts a glob of frosting on his cookies and eats them in one bite. So much fun ❤️

As always I am so joyous that you're enjoying Paul here hehe. I've said it once and I'll say it again. Canon Paul can go kick rocks, Cursed Paul, on the other hand, needs a break from me. I talk a lot below so yeah another below the cut.

The feather situation was a little thing I'd thought about recently, since I've brought up to the writers before about how Two would eventually offer Paul a feather for flock marking, and Paul, by god, does NOT want the feather. Not only does he feel like he doesn't deserve it for what he's done; but it proves something about himself too- that he's getting attached. What the fuck does it say about him if he begins to connect with these people? It doesn’t help the guilt, that’s for sure. Two tries for probably months to get him to take it; literally days on end of offering and being ignored or shrugged off- finally, Paul takes it, but he doesn't wear it, nor does he keep it on his person. The only reason Paul wears it visibly for the first time is because god DAMN does Two pull off some REALLY good sad, pathetic bird eyes (and Dally looks ready to kill him for upsetting Two-Bit, so.)

He just gets so damn unlucky with the timing and circumstances surrounding it. Not only do the harpies already hold beef with him because of Two’s original jumping and the feather issue (most of them are clueless to the fact that Two’s forgiven him, while others are aware and have kinda chilled), but having a soc who’s harmed one of their own in their territory does not sit well with a majority of them, even all these months later; something especially impactful to the Shepard’s Gang. The second one harpy spots Paul with this feather, the immediate assumption is that he’d taken it just as he did with the first one.

I don’t talk about the Shepard’s all too much, but this is a good time to mention that Two and Tim are pretty good friends— so, well, he takes this as a matter that he can settle himself; and it’s a good way to warn this rich boy imposing on their territory that he’s on strike two of three, whether he’s one of the cursed or not.

Paul Gets Jumped, Part 2. It’s definitely not as bad as when the socs got him because, despite their gripes, Tim is half aware that Darry does gaf about this guy (he’s very out of the loop, and doesn’t even know the two are dating). As bad or not, it does freak Paul the hell out due to how familiar it felt to the first time he was jumped. That’s called trauma big guy, you and Johnny can bond over shaking like chihuahuas when you walk home alone. They take the feather away from him too, and you bet your ass he will NOT ask Two-Bit for another one because he doesn’t want him thinking Paul had purposefully disposed of it, especially with how often he’d been turning it down. This mf also ends not up being very fond of harpies outside of the ones he knows (ie; Two, Mrs. Mathews, etc) for a little while. Refuses to walk outside the house unless he’s got someone else with the gang. Two dive bombs on and grabs Paul while he’s walking home once and the entire East side loses power for like 5 hours lmao. Two was not happy when he found out about it too. Harpy: “Oh yeah we got this back from a soc while ago here" Two: Two: “-Isn’t that Paul’s?” Harpy: Harpy: “Th. The soc?” Two: “Yeah??? Paul??? Darry’s boyfriend?? This was his-“ Harpy: “I mean, he had it b- ohhh shit. You gave it to him on purpose.” Two:

ON THAT NOTE Paul is,, so utterly haunted by both Johnny's and Two's disabilities, and that is absolutely not helped by the fact that they don't even seem to hold it against him. In Johnny's eyes, Paul wasn't the one who'd jumped him, resulting in him carrying the switchblade that killed Bob. He wasn't the one who held Pony underwater with the intent to kill. Two himself already knows that Paul didn't expect him to be burned as he was, nor was he the one holding the lighter. The blame the gang directs at him varies; especially when they see that the two who fell victim don't even seem to be mad about it. I think that a large reason as to why Pony throws his blame at Paul for Johnny is because, well, Bob's not around to take it. He's an emotional teen who's taking it out on the person he knows had some correlation to it. Besides, I think all of us know Pony blames himself for the church fire; directing that anger at Paul makes it easier to cope.

But yeah, Paul's practically eaten alive by the guilt. It sure as hell doesn't help that he already feels bad for being directly related to the witch that cursed Tulsa.

Lost late-night Horrible Histories spin-off show, around 2013 - 2015 (deleted post from r/lostmedia posted by JimmyNeutron7)

So I was talking with some friends about strange stuff we had seen on TV. We eventually brought up the topic of a Horrible Histories spin-off we had all seen when we were up late at night. The show aired on either BBC or CBBC in October or November of around 2013 to 2015 at 2 AM and would air for the rest of the night until regular broadcasting continued. The show focused on the Napoleonic Wars and the characters from the skit "Le Survival Guide," and we (my friends and I) all vividly remember it being called "Naughty Napoleon." It was set up like a late-night talk show or something along those lines, with Benoit mostly at a desk talking to people, advertising things, giving information, etc. It also occasionally included some iconic characters from the main show, like Rattus Rattus, Death, and the news guys. The show seemed unfinished, as some parts were still in storyboard form, and Benoit was occasionally voice-acted by someone other than Mathew Baynton (though he still sounded basically the same). There were also some minor audio glitches in certain moments, mostly with the music when it was present.

The show was normal for an unfinished Horrible Histories spin-off for the most part. But some moments seemed... strange. In some scenes, a figure could be seen watching in the backdrop. Sometimes the history being referenced and talked about was weirdly accurate, or even very strange to include in Horrible Histories of all shows. There were also times when Benoit seemed a bit anxious or paranoid, occasionally looking upwards or behind him. The line was completely crossed when Benoit interviewed a character simply named "The Rider," who was a mysterious cavalry soldier. The Rider looked similar to the odd figure and acted much more blankly compared to everyone else in the show. Eventually, The Rider introduced their (nobody could tell if they were a man or a woman) "horse." I say horse in quotation marks because, from what my friends and I remember, it was more like a horse silhouette. The "horse" was also named something related to diseases, but I can't recall what. There was some conversation about the "horse" before a moment of silence and then suddenly, The Rider took out their sword and attacked Benoit. Benoit's scream sounded weirdly realistic and the show abruptly ended with an error screen apologizing for the broadcast. After a few minutes, regular broadcasting began.

My friends and I didn't think much of it until about a week later when it was reported that a child had returned home carrying an old gun. Around the same time, two Napoleonic Era-themed LARP members were found dead in their costumes seemingly wounded by a sword. We wondered and still wonder to this day if the incidents and the show were connected in some way. Who was The Rider? Why was the show so much more unhinged compared to the regular Horrible Histories? What was with the error screen? Why was Benoit's scream so real sounding? Who was behind the incidents? So many questions, and no answers.

In speaking of answers, if you have any idea of what was going on or better, have some recording or file of the show. Please let me know. This is my (very bad) attempt at recreating the error screen that played when the episode abruptly ended.

If you've read my, or anybody else's, reviews of the Friday the 13th series, you'd know that it has a very spotty track record. The first movie is hardly most people's pick for the best in the series, the fact that there were more than twice as many films after the one titled The Final Chapter than before it has made the series the butt of jokes about horror franchises that get run into the ground, and nearly half the movies in this series range from just mediocre to borderline unwatchable. In short, it's an iconic slasher series where it wouldn't take much to make a movie that's around the middle of the pack quality-wise where its installments are concerned. And given the long legal battle that plagued this series for much of the 2010s, leave it to the fans to make just such a film. Never Hike Alone: The Ghost Cut is an anthology-style compilation of three Friday fan films by Womp Stomp Films that together range from pretty good to one of the most inspired things ever done with the idea of a big guy in a hockey mask hacking people up with a machete. It's a labor of love that (being a non-commercial fan film) is free to watch online, and which I highly recommend doing.

The film starts with a music video called "Disappear", a darkly humorous opening where Jason Voorhees hacks up three teenagers who ventured into the ruins of Camp Crystal Lake to drink and screw, all soundtracked by the titular acoustic guitar song by Trevor Vaughan. It sets the mood very nicely, playing right into our expectations of what a Friday movie is and delivering exactly that, while also examining just what Jason might be like in his "downtime" when he's not hacking people to bits. The second segment, Never Hike in the Snow, started out strong by showing Jason in an environment that's new to him: the winter, chasing and killing a young man named Mark Hill through the snowy woods. It starts off strong with a great buildup to a great kill, though as it went on it became the weakest segment in the film by my estimation, turning increasingly disjointed with plots about the sheriff Rick Cologne (a returning character from Jason Lives played by the same actor, Vincent Guastaferro) comforting the victim's mother, the same sheriff having to deal with Tommy Jarvis (again, returning from Jason Lives with Thom Mathews reprising his role) as news of the murder causes him to come out of the woodwork suspecting that Jason is back, and a scene of a hapless deputy going into the woods searching for clues as to Mark's murder. Each scene was exceptionally well-shot even by the standards of a professionally produced film, let alone a fan flick, but while there were interesting ideas, especially in the scene with the mother, it didn't come together particularly well.

Fortunately, the film spent the next hour with its best part by far, its titular centerpiece originally filmed and released in 2017 and later included with the other two segments as the "Ghost Cut". This is mostly a one-man show in which a hiking influencer named Kyle McLeod ventures into the trails of the Wessex County forest, stumbles upon Camp Crystal Lake, and must fight for survival against Jason. Much of the first half is a slow burn as Kyle ventures deeper and deeper into Jason's turf, with growing clues that something isn't right, from the coyotes wailing in the distance one night to the "No Trespassing" sign he encounters to various signs of the carnage past at the long-abandoned camp. It's an effective buildup that's paid off wonderfully when Jason himself shows up to kick ass and take names. He's played here by the film's director Vincente DeSanti, and watching him, I felt something I had only rarely felt in the past watching the Friday films: genuinely afraid of Jason. All too often, Jason gets portrayed as a crowd-pleasing mascot who the film not-so-secretly sides with as he takes out the trash, rendering him less a monster than a roguish anti-hero of sorts. Not here. This movie portrays him as a mean, brutish, no-nonsense, and surprisingly cunning villain who could probably kill you with his bare hands, let alone his machete, and who you absolutely do not want to mess around with. It helped that Drew Leighty as Kyle was a guy who I could easily root for. He may be a YouTuber, but the film avoids making him an obnoxious caricature for the sake of it, with scenes of him grumbling about the spon-con deal he's doing with the company that made the collapsible shovel he's carrying. And when push comes to shove towards the end, he turns into a real-deal survivor who feels like a genuine match for Jason. I wanted to see this guy live and prevail, which was more than I could say for a lot of the people who've crossed paths with Jason, and that fact made me fear what Jason was trying to do to him that much more.

The Bottom Line

It's rare for a fan film to be this good, but Never Hike Alone: The Ghost Cut manages to be not only better than a lot of the actual Friday the 13th films, but a damn good horror movie in its own right. Even if you're not a Friday fan, I still recommend giving this one a look, especially since it's free and easily accessible.
