Is the couch series complete?

Not really, I still want to make one or two more to complete it but I'm having a hard time with it. I lost a bit heart for the project after seeing it reposted on TikTok and Pinterest with the watermark cut out and in very bad resolution. Why if someone is already taking the picture did they nuke the img quality, to make it harder to track? do they not undersand how img downloading works? I don't get it

There is a queue of other drawings still waiting for their turn, so I'm not certain when I'll get back to it. If it's something wanted, I can try to get it done sooner

Obviously the biggest and most prominent aspect of this is Atlas doing his best to shield Chief from the rain with the single umbrella as quickly as he can, at the expense of being soaked himself. He sees Chief’s comfort as being far more important than his own, so he’ll be the one to provide that comfort to him. He could choose to cover both of them with the umbrella, but he prioritises getting Chief completely covered first (or even just partially covering both of them).

Another thing being their placements; Atlas is farther away, and thus seems smaller than Chief. Something something smaller = less important, despite the fact that Atlas is physically much larger than Chief when stood side-by-side.

The grass near Atlas is yellower than that near Chief. Chief is surrounded by dark green grass. In essence, the grass is in poorer condition near Atlas, while it is healthier near Chief to symbolise the different paths in life they’ve led thus far.

Childe design takes pretty pls 🤲 (if that's ok!!)

Weeeeeeell since you asked who am I to refuse?

Okay so, before we get into the actual takes there's two important things I need to note (bc it will be relevant) :

1) Childe is an extremely capable and dangerous soldier

2) Despite this, he is also a genuinely friendly and sociable guy

Got that? Okay moving on

Starting with his face, the most notable thing is, of course, his eyes. It's pretty common knowledge by now, but I still think it's important to note that Childe is the only character with no light in his eyes whatsoever. Everyone else has some sort of shine, or at least something that gives the seem feel as it. The dead eyes coupled with the friendly expression gives a rather off-putting vibe. Fitting, for as much as he is genuinely friendly, he also won't have any qualms cutting you down if it comes to it.

His bangs are also interesting, as the left side covers most of his eye while his right is open.

His left side is also much more decorated, with having both his earring and mask. The designs on both of these are very sharp, with a deep red color that practically screams danger. By itself, his left looks much more closed off and intimidating than his right, which is open and vulnerable.

There's also a light streak in his hair (with some other parts having it as a subtle gradient) that, notably, his brother doesn't have.

Let's move away from the face a bit now yeah?

Childe's outfit as a whole is very military, with neutral shades of gray and a dash of black with relatively simple patterns. It makes the red accents pop a lot more, especially his bright red scarf.

Similarly to his bangs, his left side here is also much more decorated and covered, with all the sharp armor pieces (and his thigh belt) being exclusively on his left.

The stomach gap is on his right, once again making him appear more open and vulnerable.

As a whole, his design gives the vibe of someone who is approachable, but that you should still be wary off.

Which is perfect! Because while yes, he is an incredibly violent battle-hungry maniac, he IS still genuinely approachable and friendly. It's why he's able to make friends with people despite them knowing what he does!

I like him a lot :)

HI ANON sorry for replying to this so late I needed to stare at it for ages and reread it over and over. This is so incredible to read like idk I've always thought of my presence as more or less a floating concept and getting recognized as like. Oh you're the guy who made the Bdubs Tablet video or Oh you're the guy who made the Limited Life Venom video is so fhlhfdshlkfdshklfhkdllhhk

Idk what a veterans discount would constitute on my blog but whatever it is you deserve one.

I REALLY want to get back into making videos because as much as I loved working on both tablet and venom I can't look them in a eye anymore without digging myself into a particularly deep burrow and I think I've learnt a lot about animation over the last year but at the same time big projects like that scare me and the instant gratification of posting individual illustrations gets the dopamine going much quicker.

Anyways thank you for loving Scott I love him too!!!! Favourite guy right next to Bdubs at this point. Last Life in general changed me forever. I've been meaning to do some sort of compilation of my designs showing how they've changed because I am genuinely proud of how my scott specifically has evolved so thankyou for reminding me.

And favourite Martyn design in the WHOLE FANDOM is such high praise my heart can't take this. I really do like my Martyn design too but sometimes I worry I make him look idk., more mature? than intended cus of the beard (I think he looks around the age I imagine him at but other martyns I've seen tend to swing a bit on the younger side) so that makes me so happy.

I don't really have a whole else to say just thank you so much for your support and especially for this message it means so so so much to me I will print this out and tape it to my wall. I have a lot of trouble talking to artists I like so I really admire anons like you :'D

Yeah uhh I feel like the major problem with Tubehell Challenge 'The Mimic' story is uhh fitting it in a small space. I can make The Storyteller more interesting, but because Andrea couldn't fill the space of a 19-20k story, I have only 16570 to work with, a lot of which can be cut out given it's mostly guff about nothing and Burrows talking about scuba diving with pretty models. There's 19207 words in The Mimic, a lot of which is loading chekov's gun they never fire and scrambling to make it 'scary' so... hm...

I can do it for sure, it's just a case of building Edwin, David and Mimic's relationships properly in a short time frame. I have some structure ideas that will help with that, and also gonna shimmy around which important parts are revealed in which story, so that should give me a lot more room to work in The Mimic, but also further limits The Storyteller so... hmmm... I'll know for sure how clever I'm going to have to be with screentime when I actually start it I think.

This post is just to say that this is going to be interesting to figure out lmao in case you were wondering how it was going
