death was a familiar sight. he was no stranger to it. seeing others die was simply part of the job. part of his job. usually it was him doing the killing. however, this time, he had simply been a bystander in the situation. he had been in the right place at the right time. he'd been a distraction to the others, allowing the boy to take his shot. in the end, it had seemed to work out well.

@twinxmasters sent: Shintaro seems to be struggling somewhat to carry his present for Mizuki in. In fact, he doesn't bother putting it on the table and instead sets it on the floor. It doesn't look that big, and not that heavy for Mizuki, but Shintaro figured it was big enough for a child to get her hopes up at the mere sight of it. "Well, I had to carry that through two train stations, but trust me it'll be worth it. Happy Birthday, Mizuki." Wrapping paper is torn... a second layer of wrapping paper is underneath as Shintaro smirks... Finally once she gets through that, a black box with different dials on top is revealed to her. It's an amp! "This is called a Fender Mustang LT 25. Good, affordable choice for beginners. No matter what guitar you pick for yourself in the future, this should be adequate."

"You carried that all the way here? For me? Why didn't you just call me over or..." No, that is not in fact disdain or irreverence in her tone, it's a particular curiosity. Mizuki knows the kind of person Shintaro is. Not exactly lazy but they definitely prefer less intensive options to demanding ones. Going out was already a lot for the introvert. Night and day in that regard.

"Thanks, Shintaro..." This said, before she even begins opening the box. A point of respect? You better believe it. But that wrapping doesn't get to last much longer than that. A practiced box opener, Mizuki makes it through one layer. Another(??). And then the box.

"Whoa!"

She pulls the amp out of its box, a rain of packing this-n-that falling away. Yes, it's being done with one hand. No, she doesn't care at the moment if this is emasculating. She's taking the gift in, alright?

"I'll make sure to take care of it." She says after it's set down, offering the young man a smile before a grin and mischief appears in her expression. "So does this mean I got your approval to start playing electric?! I wonder how loud this thing can get... I gotta try it out!"

Mizuki thanks you, Shintaro. But her neighbors will not be doing the same.

Tick tock tick tock tick tock.

Time is moving faster than it has any right to. Which is nothing unusual for a teen and less so an adult, but for Shintaro it surely must be harrowing to have that beating expectation coming from such a small package. Mizuki has stopped her strumming at this point, the Lemniscate studio now eerily calm outside of Shintaro’s fretting. Which wasn’t helping his case. The ticker is flashing until once again, the eccentric AI speaks up!

Quick Time Event Failed.

“I heard her.” Comes the cold response, stark and cutting the ice of the bickering duo. Unfortunately for Shintaro, Mizuki too was a dealer in the art of questionable information held for the purposes of extortion. “And lemme guess. It’s all just animal husbandry stuff for you too, isn’t it?! Ugh!” Yes, the grade schooler is looking at the musician like he was morphing into a piece of garbage.

But, at the same time… as she squints and stares holes into the guy’s skull…

“Whatever. I don’t even want to hear about it. But.” Now there’s a glint in her eye, folding her arms over the instrument. Is she smirking a little? She is. Oh no. That’s not good. “…good information to know.” Congratulations, Shintaro. You’re now even more under Mizuki’s thumb. Thanks, Ene.

Oh no Ene, what have you done? Well, this practice session went off the rails lightning fast. Why is Mizuki looking at him like he's about to preach to her about the lord and savior Tsunomaki Watame? Wait, that's something Sodom would do. Oh god, she's looking at him like he's Sodom! That's never a look you want to receive!

"Uh... Well... Y-You see, it's kind of... it's..."

"A monument to Master's shame! Take your pick on all the embarrassing things he'd do anything to keep from being leaked onto the internet~."

"It's blackmail! Blackmail, Mizuki! You heard her!"

"Whaaat? Can't I be allowed to steer dear Master in the right direction from time to time?"

Seems like they've completely stopped paying attention to Mizuki...

Holding a can of cola in his hand, Kano lifted it to show Shintaro he had one. “So what about it?”

Fitting for his Type B Tsundere tendencies, Wylan will get dismissive and evasive when put down with negative emotions such as anger or sadness. He's not malicious (outside of his work) so it's not as though he wants to spread around negativity or take anger out on others (outside of being confronted). So he'll go somewhere else to blow off steam.

Does that mean be more reckless? Make a big fool of himself? That and more! This is for the angrier side of that spectrum. Sadness will have him... pretend nothing is wrong, more than likely. Go on a trip, do something else. Anything else. Fake it till he makes it (usually doesn't).

The one thing he won't do is ask for help. :)

Came a sudden voice. A simple and short right to the point kind of question. With no real compliant over the answer given, as it was more just a curiosity.  Something of which that fits Yunjins motives perfectly. The curiosity of things, and wanted to get right down to it when it comes to not only stories, but knowing general people, and their wants and likes.

“I wouldn’t mind giving you a taste of such on the spot if you would like. Careful though, it might bring up a crowd. Unless that’s not needed. My name is Yunjin. Pleased to meet you.”She knows she came off a little too strong. To which if she did, she would apologize. But for now, she’s instigated a convocation, and she intends to follow through with it.

And the shelf housing all of his sound equipment. And Tono in the corner, just in case Amame was like Sirin and was interested in the bunny first and foremost. "...Well, it's not much."

The apartment was humble, perhaps no smaller than the place Amame had shared with her mother - nothing unusual when it came to the modern home for families, even ones as broken as her own. Either way, she finally has the opportunity to see Shintaro's home - and possibly meet the cute rabbit he talks about!

She's both excited and nervous when it comes to being at her boyfriend's place, alone with her boyfriend. Following close behind, she casts her eye over the place, somehow she's not surprised by what she finds - it certainly is a musical sort of home.

"It's nice... a lot of equipment - but I guess this is where you make your music?"

"I see," well Shinny's reactions are pretty damn cute, so she can understand the need to tease him - at least a little. "Well, I suppose I can't complain - my job is literally to flirt with customers."

"Eh, some girl heard Master say his friend group is mostly girls and decided to fuck with him about it. I highly doubt she actually meant it."
