Not gonna lie, I kind of just want to gush about the ballet I watched over the weekend. My friend and I watched the local ballet's rendition of Cinderella, and I was really surprised that it was a comedy??? But it was really good. The Tremaine sisters were absolutely the best characters. Their multiple costumes throughout the ballet were the tackiest things you've ever seen and they were so so brilliant. One wore bright lime green and magenta plaid. The other wore bright orange and blue polka dots. And yes, those motifs stayed throughout the entire ballet. It was super funny and super impressive the way both dancers managed to do everything with flawless technique and yet it looked wrong and terrible.

And my favorite scene? Mid ball scene, there was a segment of Act 2 where all the ensemble came out in their dancing pairs. Elegant, and perfect, and gorgeous. And yet in the back of the stage, the Tremaine sister's were twearking in their ballgowns. I was howling.
