Oh my goodness, this re-watch has me dying. I’m almost done with season two but like I had to take a break because I’m episode 9 and that exchange between Carol and Daryl... holy shit.

He was all mad yelling, saying really mean things and she just stay there, “go ahead” she said, waiting for him to let it ALL OUT oh her, and then when he made that motion like he was gonna hit her and she flinched a little ready to take the hit, but stood her ground... OH MY GOD... MY HEART DROPPED, I HAD FORGOTTEN ABOUT IT!!

This poor woman has been so abused all her life she didn’t fucking care, she was willing to stay there, and take the hits, as long as Daryl stayed. WOW. And is in that moment he realizes and stops, had Daryl been anything like Ed, Carol would’ve been so fucked up by now.

It's a Cherokee rose. The story is that when American soldiers were moving Indians off their land on the trail of tears the Cherokee mothers were grieving and crying so much 'cause they were losing their little ones along the way from exposure and disease and starvation. A lot of them just disappeared. So the elders, they, uh, said a prayer. Asked for a sign to uplift the mothers' spirits, give them strength and hope. The next day, this rose started to grow right where the mothers' tears fell.
