rank blaines solos babe
Ok I just remembered I have definitely posted this before but I had 50 followers or something so here it is again.
Ranking all Blaine solos:
1. All you need is love:
Firstly, this is the Blaine solo I listen to the most and honestly one of my favourite Glee songs. Add to the fact it’s such a big exciting number and he’s proposing to Kurt - this great song comes alive.
2. It’s time
This is another Blaine solo I listen to all the time and this one is also paired with a very fun and meaningful scene. This song tells a story as well as being sung very well and personally it’s one of my faves.
3. Bills, bills, bills
This is my favourite Warblers number (what a controversial opinion!!) It’s fun to listen to and watch and that’s all I want.
4. My dark side
This is sooo angsty and kinda random but it just sounds soooooo good. It also perfectly explains Blaine’s mental space at this time in the show - personally I would love Kurt listening to Blaine sing this song (but not in the canon time of their early breakup).
5. Hopelessly devoted to you
This one Blaine solo that has creeped up the list. I don’t necessarily agree with Blaine singing this song after cheating on Kurt (often people cheat because they are not devoted to their partner anymore).
Anyway, this song sounds great and I love the loose choreography of it - to make it character and emotion driven.
6. Cough Syrup
This is the quintessential Blaine number, probably after Teenage Dream. I wish we got a Klaine conversation after Blaine sung this song, because Kurt was there watching and then they did nothing with that. It did not reach its potential in canon with Blaine’s story but it still sounds amazing (id definitely prefer listening to the studio version over watching Karofsky try to commit suicide).
7. Somewhere only we know
I’m so very glad this number exists and even though I find the song a little awkward, it is a masterpiece. It honestly sounds great and together with Blaine singing to Kurt with the Warblers and even the Furt hug it goes into top tier. Love, love it.
8. Everybody wants to rule the world
Ok I just have an infinity for pop and season 4. I love watching the scene that accompanies this song.
9. Against all odds (take a look at me now)
This song is actually quite awkward to watch and starts the classic debate of ‘he was singing this for Sam’ and ‘he was singing this for Kurt.’ If people are interested, I’m in the boat that he was singing this song for Kurt and looked at Sam during the number because he’s the one who had been through the season 4 break up with him in Lima. It does sound amazing and I’d prefer to listen to the studio version than watch the scene.
10. When I get you alone
It took me forever to finally watch the scene with this song but I finally did a few months ago. It is actually quite hilarious if you push through all the awkward. Also when listening to the song, it sounds really good.
11. Don’t stop me now
This is a song that I don’t often listen to or watch the scene in the episode, but when I do it does sound AMAZING. Blaine does this song very well and Darren said he did the scene with a bad cold, so congrats to him to own the choir room while so sick.
12. Beauty school drop out
I love Blaine’s outfit and the recreation of the Grease scene. It also sounds great, highlights how well Blaine can morph his voice to fit different genres because it sounds so different to HDTY which was in the previous episode. (Even though from my theatre experience you cannot see the audience when you are on the stage the eye contact between Kurt and Blaine gives me all the feels).
13. Last Friday night
With my hatred for season 3, I have not watched the scene in ages but the song does sound great and of course Blaine sang Katy Perry to try to find his place in the New Directions. (Also we get a bit of fun Klaine, so no complaints there).
14. Misery
I love the scene in 2x16 with this song but I don’t rate it as a song to casually listen to.
15. Silly love songs
I will always wish this was a Klaine duet, and I actually don’t rate this as a song to listen to the studio recording. I love the flirty Blaine, the scene with the New Directions and the Warblers and it fits very well with the episode. It’s actually one of the few Warblers songs that makes sense in the context of Glee.
16. I’m not going to teach your boyfriend how to dance with you
This song is not one of my personal favourites and the scene is destroyed by Jesse and Finn singing.
17. Teenage dream
I know it’s a crime to have this song so low on this list, but personally I don’t like how the song sounds, or the original Katy Perry song. The fact it’s such a big moment for Kurt and is the introduction of Blaine is the reason it’s not lower than it already is.
18. You’re my best friend
This song is so strange to watch, but it actually sounds really good. The way it was shot with the puppets and my general distaste for ‘The Puppet Episode’ is why it’s down to low.
19. It’s not unusual
Idk not a vibe and not something I would choose to listen to.
20. Piano man
It’s not bad, I just don’t care for the song and the scene is kinda a snore.
21. Teenage dream (acoustic)
I find the whole scene soo awkward and cringe, plus in my humble opinion I don’t like the way it sounds. (I know I’m committing crimes by saying this). This also goes back to my point when I wrote about original ‘Teenage Dream’ - I’m just generally not a fan of the song.
22. Wanna be starting something
A very repetitive song and often a scene I skip over when I watch ‘Micheal.’
23. Fighter
A lot of people love this song, but I don’t like the way it sounds or how it’s shot. Plus, I don’t like the whole episode of ‘Big Brother.’
24. It’s not right but its okay
I don’t understand why personal relationship feuds have to become a public spectacle in the Glee Club. The only way I can enjoy this song is if I take it out of the context of Glee, because otherwise it’s too dramatic and not something I’d ever agree on (airing private relationship matters to a group of people). It is kinda funny when everyone is singing about being cheated on, because most of them had both been cheated on and cheated on someone else.
25. Raise your glass
Not a fan of the Warblers version of Raise Your Glass. I like the choreography but not the way it sounds.
26. Something’s coming
I have a personal distaste for this song. If Blaine did not want to be Tony for the production, why sing a Tony song??? I find that really annoying but I blame the writers more than Blaine for that (but I do not like the context of the song at all and don’t listen to the song).
27. All of me
I don’t like the scene and unfortunately I don’t like the way Blaine sounds when he sings this song. There are better things I could be doing with my life over listening to Blaine sing ‘All of me’. (Maybe my personal distaste for this song comes from not liking the original).
28. Hey soul sister
Another song where I don’t like the original and think the performance of it on Glee just fell flat.

// TW DISCUSSION OF MENTAL HEALTH, DOXXING, ABUSE AND HARASSMENT
much like another post circling around, i don't want this to become a battlefield with people going 'i knew it!! how could you have been so guillable!!!!'. i respect and understand the people who didn't see it all so clear. as i've mentioned before we don't, and never will, understand much of the situation, as we are not living inside the victim's, dream's or ollie's minds.
same as anon, i'm someone who would rather wait it out to form a more educated and global understanding of the situation. better that than prematurely lashing out and saying things i would regret in the long run. it has happened before.
i don't expect everyone else to be the same. everyone has different experiences, copying mechanisms and emotional reactions to different situations. even the very mention of it is enough to make a DA victim spiral (or abuse of any kind). i understand not thinking critically in a situation like this.
i am deeply uncomfortable discussing this, as it's a part of me that only my family and two of my best friends are aware of. i am the kid that was found in the crossfire of someone's psychological and physical abuse to a big part of my mom's side of the family. i have been witness of the direct assaults as much as me, with my dad, have been constant witnesses of my mom's decaying mental health. i will be the first person to admit that i have assumed the worst of certain people and acted accordingly - and DEEPLY regretted it, to the point where one of my deepest regrets was me mistreating someone who never deserved it. someone i mistreated and that i will never have the chance to apologize to because they're gone. i started therapy shortly after, and ever since that moment i promised myself i would always react to emotionally charged moments with a levelhead.
i want to start off by saying that i am deeply sorry if any of words came off as invalidating of anyone's experience. my intention never was to make anyone feel as though they weren't entitled to feelings what they were feeling. i tried to make a point, several times, to clear up that THAT wasn't the case. nevertheless, if i made people feel like that, i deeply apologize. it was never my intention to make anyone feel bad about themselves. i am well aware i have lost followers and mutuals. i apologize personally for hurting you and letting you down. i don't expect this apology to be bonding experience or a bridge to fix things, nor do i want it to be, i think.
i'm going to try to explain my point of view because i feel like i didn't do a good job at it yesterday. in no way was i trying to defend anyone blindly. i understand how it might have come off that way. digging for information looked like me trying to bend over backwards to prove someone's innocence.
it wasn't the case. as i stated yesterday, i have been victim of doxxing. i have been the crowd's target. not just online but irl as well. i have suffered discrimination, abandonment, slander and verbal aggression from peers. again, both on the internet and outside of it. seeing people unite forces to spread malicious information and use hate speech on dream, both from outside and within the fandom, made me upset. not because it was dream, but because it has happened to me before. and speaking from personal experience, it's not something that i would EVER wish upon anyone. the only reason why i digged for information was for my own interest. because, as anon said, i need to see contrasted information before i make up my mind on something. as i have mentioned before, i second guessed dream for a second. i didn't wanna get it wrong. i didn't wanna give the benefit of the doubt to an obvious abuser. i understand how people wouldn't be comfortable looking for that information - in which case, all i ask is for people to not reach unfounded conclusions without looking at the evidence. it's deeply unfair and dangerous.
i then spoke about my experience with the leaked information in hopes of pacifying things. in a dash that, for one second, seemed very against dream.
from my point of view ollie IS innocent. god knows i don't have anything against the guy but i also don't have anything going for him that would make me jump straight into the pit. i don't think we'll ever get closure. from where i'm standing, i have decided that the piece of information that i am aware of makes him not guilty. i don't expect anyone to jump on this train, as much as i don't expect anyone to expect me to jump on theirs. at this point, there's no way of deciding which sides holds more truth. based on what i have read and searched, i have come to this conclusion.
if i defended ollie's name last night it wasn't because i blindly thought he was innocent, or that dream wasn't. everything i asked for yesterday was for some human decency. again, as someone who has been the target in an unfair situation (because as much as people might want to argue, the situation WAS, and in my opinion IS, up in the air). i cannot, and i can't stress it enough, tolerate any kind of slander and direct harassment towards anyone. it goes against my moral compass. respect is a basic human right.
i am hurt by the way things have been handled. much like i was asked to see the other side of the story, i wish people would have taken a second to entertain MY side of the story. i don't understand why i am being asked to look at it from their perspective/validate their feelings when im not getting the same treatment. i will always keep in mind the other person's feelings and thoughts, because that's just who i am as a person, despite the little to nothing that i have gotten in return. i think it's deeply unfair and upsetting. same way i see people disappointed/angry at other people who have called them out on their emotional responses, becuase it was "their way of coping", when they never entertained dream's own feelings. i don't understand why me, or dream, or anyone who was on his side, isn't getting the same treatment that they expect us to have.
nevertheless, again, i'm sorry for hurting anyone. never my intention.

Pls share about the Gospel of Judas 👀
, im SO glad someone asked because this topic is nigh always pingponging around in my head and the fact i get to ramble about it means the WORLD to me. TW ahead for canon-typical violence, gore, and other such discussions of all that fun heretical stuff!
Now, to preface this, I just wanted to say that I’m not a licensed professional in anything related to theology nor religion nor historical artifacts. I am. as we all are deep down inside, a simple teenager with ridiculous hyper-fixations and a vast ocean of random information that will not be of any importance to my career or home life whatsoever. Easily, many of the things I talk about could either be wrong or debunked, but I will try my best to explain the Book of Judas as I understood it.
Among the many books that make up what we know as the Bible today, there were various seemingly ‘missing perspectives’ and inconsistencies that existed between gospels. One of the reasons for this was the fact that the Bible in and of itself was a compiled work that was originally recorded years after the oral tradition had passed. What is or isn’t ‘canon’ often depended on the rulings of past Popes who worked with historians to determine the authenticity of ancient artifacts that either proved or contested the canonical teachings of the Bible--one of the more popular debunked samples being The Shroud of Turin, which while being ruled as a fake by Pope Clement the VII a long time ago, still has its authenticity being debated until today.
It’s important to remember that the canon status of ancient artifacts. while somewhat reliant on Papal confirmation, can sometimes be contested and interpreted to each individual’s discretion.
And among all of these artifacts, there is my favorite one of all--The Book of Judas. Now, factually speaking, the Gospel of Judas was written in (somewhere between 2 to) 5 A.D., not actually that farfetched considering that only in 1 A.D. was the first version of the Bible we know today written. It was found somewhere in Ancient Egypt but was declared as fiction at some point in 180 A.D. by St. Iranaeus of Lyon. To understand the impact that The Book of Judas would have on the Bible (which, to put it simply, was revolutionary), you’d first have to have a quick review and understanding of who Judas Iscariot was in the gospels that we know today.
Judas was a disciple.
He was one of the 12 disciples that were closest to Jesus and a disciple that most accounts of the story would say actually truly deeply loved him at some point. Judas was, as all memes about Christianity are fond of reminding, also the traitor that eventually chose money and greed over his love for God’s son and turned him in with a kiss in a garden that led to Jesus Christ’s death at the cross.
That is until you read the translations of the Book of Judas.
In the original books--whether it was because he was possessed by the Devil or simply a man who had fallen into greed--Judas was portrayed to be a sinner and a horrible traitor. After his betrayal and Jesus’ eventual death, Judas had then become guilt-ridden and anguished, choosing to end his own life in the Gospel of Matthew and even tarnishing a field with his blood and sins according to St. Luke in Acts.
The Book of Judas, however, CHALLENGES these motives. Instead, it takes what brought all past Christian texts together by changing the portrayal of Judas on its head and putting the previous ‘traitor’ under the light of something else entirely.
According to the Book of Judas, Jesus had asked Judas to betray him.
The 26-page manuscript was a brief retelling of the dynamics we were lead to believe in the story told by the main four books. In the Book of Judas, we were told that the original other 12 disciples were actually quite... foolish. They were described to be sort of arrogant and clueless, constantly misinterpreting and forgetting Jesus’ words because while he was teaching them to be better and to spread the words of God, the disciples were still, at their core, human sinners. The manuscript was believed to have reported that of the disciples that were closest, or at least best tolerated by Jesus--Judas was by far the most understanding of His words.
Judas, in accordance with his book, was the only one who could understand the significance and cryptic lessons behind Jesus’ teachings. Because of this, Jesus knew he was the only capable one to serve him in what was to come.
You see, part of the prophecy was that Jesus had to die. He had to suffer and fall for humanity’s sake so that we would be able to be forgiven. As much as it sucks to even think about it, Jesus had come to expect that someone would need to cause his death and hurt him all so that he could fulfill his purpose.
In the end, he thought that death by the hand of an enemy was far worse than a death at the hands of a friend.
During the Last Supper, Jesus approached Judas and placed him into a vision. He placed Judas in a fantastical, wonderful dream where Judas sat facing the house of heaven and saw Jesus. Jesus, who looked at his beloved friend and said: “you will exceed all of them. For you will sacrifice the man that clothes me.” Judas will exceed all of them. And he will sacrifice the man that clothed Jesus.
In this interpretation, Judas was essentially told that he was the one who would finally free Jesus from his physical form. Judas, the supposed traitor disciple, would be the one to fulfill Jesus’ prophecy and thus sacrificed his beloved friend to bring about forgiveness for humanity.
And he understands.
In this manuscript, Judas Iscariot understands the will of God and what he has to do. He understands the weight of his betrayal and what he has to do in order to obey Jesus--so then it isn’t money or fear or anger or evil that motivates him to surrender Jesus to the soldiers but utter obedience and adoration for the Son of God. Judas gives his ‘yes’, knowing that for years and years he will be slandered and labeled as a traitor but at his core, Judas knows that it was not a betrayal to begin with.
So he led the soldiers to Jesus in the garden. He kissed him and let him be taken away and let him die.
-
This was the official translation approved by BBC and National Geographic according to the original translations done by Stephen Emmel, a Coptic studies professional.
Later on, this interpretation would be challenged by Dr. April DeConick, who claims that the mistreatment and mistranslation of the paper actually told the complete opposite, in the way that the revelation in the Last Supper was not created by Jesus but, in fact, by Judas, who had revealed himself to be the 13th demon of hell. This interpretation, while less popular, served as a direct challenge to the recharacterization BBC and NatGeo had approved of. I don’t really know too much about this debate, but I do know that this second interpretation does exist.
Of course, the original Judas text itself is currently impossible to truly translate to be sure. It was torn and shuffled, put into a freezer, and possibly even missing a few pages (which you can blame Bruce Ferinni for), ultimately making the authentic manuscript really difficult to properly restore.
The takeaway from this whole Book though--whether you accept it as canon or not--is that there were many interpretations and beliefs early Christians and Gnostics had that the time that criticized the way the four main gospels had passed down God’s teachings. People believed what they thought supported their own beliefs and at the end of the day. it's all still just a matter of who we choose to credit.
The real author to the Book of Judas remains anonymous to this day, but I am very glad to have been able to share this with you all :)

what do you think of kanye's tw meltdowns? I really don't know if i should believe that he isn't getting help because he has all the resources, and his outbursts always are near something him or they (Kardashians) need to promote. Also, since a few years ago this whole ego thing became something more than just believing his the shit. The Kardash worship him and even tried to be part of the rap social scene at some point
- I'm not going to say they're exploiting him bc I don't think he's completely faultless but also don't want to undermine his struggle. The last pictures with Kim at a drive through seemed staged tho. They're always so private and then come this. Also, how do you think the gp view of the family has changed in the past years? I don't know if it's favorable or something, I just know teenage girl still love Kim for some reason
Ok to really understand Kanye’s mental breakdown, you’ve got to have some base understanding of Kanye’s personality/behaviour prior to his mother’s death. He’s always been erratic even pre-Donda’s death but afterwards, he spiralled into a full range of mental issues. There’s a massive difference between Kanye saying/tweeting controversial things right before he releases a project and Kanye crying at a rally because Kim almost aborted North. He is going through some serious issues and it is upsetting to see because he’s so far gone that it’s going to be hard to get him the help he needs.
Kanye was on meds then went off meds because he said it hindered his creative process and Kim allowed that to occur because Kim as well as that whole family are convinced that he is a musical/creative genius that he repeatedly tell us he is. I 100% believe that Kim is doing her utmost to make sure he gets help but she doesn’t want to use her power as his guardian/wife to force him into getting treatment. Idk why but a lot of it probably has to do with how she admires what Kanye used to be at the beginning of their relationship and she doesn’t want to go against his wishes. It’s nothing new though, Kim has always had zero control of Kanye. Up until this point, she has blindly backed everything he does. While I do believe that Kim does genuinely have love for Kanye, imo she married him because one, he worships her and they’re both narcissists, two, he helped her and her family rebrand, three, he had connections with the higher echelons which the Kardashians/Jenners struggled to make despite Kris having been married to Bruce Jenner (Ye introducing Kim to Balmain, getting her a seat at fashion week, the vogue spread etc.) and four, she thought they were going to be something like Bey and Jay (or at least they were all going to be friends). The Kardashians kiss his ass because they thought Ye was their ticket into cementing their place in pop culture and black culture. Ye also made sure that they got taken seriously by the fashion industry because before he took Kim under his wings, Anna thought the Kardashian name was a joke.
What Kim and Kris didn’t expect was that Kanye’s mental health would decline so rapidly that he’d be on the outs with the Carters and other powerful figures he was previously rubbing shoulders with. She also didn’t anticipate that he’d be on his MAGA bullshit because prior to this he was probably one of the most pro-black artist ever. Basically Kim thought she was marrying into a lifestyle that he hasn’t been able to provide. Are the Kardashians exploiting him for press? Not this time around, no. Him tweeting all sort of shit about their family hasn’t been good for their image and Kris obviously tried to do damage control by going to TMZ with all sort of statements. Did they exploit him in the past? Yes but then that would be saying their whole marriage has been one big exploit lol. In addition to that, I disagree that Kim and Ye have been private about his mental health and family life. They obviously didn’t put it out that they were on the rocks because the Kardashians like to frame their marriage as loving and Kim as a ride or die and his saviour. KUWK has always made a point to show Kim taking care of Kanye and made plenty of mentions of all the ridiculous demands he’s made and how difficult he is to deal with but Kim does it anyway because she’s a great wife and mother to his kids. That stage picture of them at the drive through is just Kris and Kim trying to control the narrative and show people that “See! Kim is such a wonderful wife. She forgives Ye even after he slanders her and her family all over the internet.” If they divorce, she’s going to come out of it as the patient woman who did everything he could for her troubled husband and Ye is going to look like he’s ungrateful and a raging lunatic.
There’s like pre-Ye and post-Ye Kardashian. Before Ye, Kris and Kim had to bust their ass off just to stay relevant. They were never taken seriously by anyone in the any industry and other celebs looked down on them as fame-hungry reality stars. Then they rebranded through Kanye and tried to integrate themselves fully into the hip-hop/black culture. Obviously tons of people view them as culture vultures but it must have worked to some extent because they were put “on” after that. I feel like a lot of the gp still think they’re white trash and fame thirsty but there’s a certain group (younger demographic) that think they’re cool and hip and in touch with the culture. Kanye really did put them on though. Fashion publications used to drag Kim for her style, now we’re getting at least a couple of posts on the daily about one of the Kardashian’s style and it’s on major publications like Vogue too. Kendall went from modelling L.A. prom dresses to opening Marc Jacobs. Kylie went from “the ugly duckling Jenner” to the coolest baby mama in the rap game. Half of the family are now regular attendees at Met Gala. Before Kanye, Kim couldn’t even dream of getting an invite. Also, I just want to say that I don’t like Kim (props to her for all the prison reform work though, idc if it’s for PR because at least she’s doing something to help) but I feel for Kim. She’s been the bread winner of that family her whole life, hustled her ass off and did all sort of gigs that were degrading just to get them all to this point. I can’t imagine how bitter she is because I truly believe she thought she was set for life after marrying Kanye. She thought he was going to elevate her and they were going to be this power couple but it ended up with her running around Calabasas trying to keep him from destroying their family name.
