some ideas/headcanons on each variant of the mabill/mawill ship.

i love all of them equally

Mawill (reverse Mabel X Will)-i like to think this ship has a wierd maternal side to it, I hc that Will essentially raised the twins since they where like 12, so theres some love to them in the form that they are his children. but being a demon, theres a disconnect, and its not the proper thing. I think ppl portray MaWill with it entirely being abusive on Mabels side way too often, and I don't fully like this idea, in my honest headcanon, its a type of relationship where both strive for dominance, and in situations where Mabel is fully vunruble, Will takes advantage of that and vice versa.

Will especially, since in my version of the au. will was essentially like Bill prior to being a butler for the pines (I don't like when they go by gleeful), so in scenarios where he can, he can finally exert his power he has been lacking for years

reverse-Mabill (reverse mabel and bill)-Semi partners in crime where they both look to manipulate eachother for their own inherent selfish acts, but fall in love with them. in my hc for this relationship, Mabel is clingy to Bill, but Bill can put her in her place every once awhile.

I like this ship, cause Unlike Mawill, its so obviously abusive and even chaotic, while I find Mawill to have so many layers. while this is so much more "simple" (even though its not really-it still has layers), and its also slightly less-idk, depressing? I have more to say about this ship, but I can't think about it

Mabill (normal)-of course, this is a little more easier to explain. I just love the almost cliche enemies to friends to lovers trope they obviously have. Honestly, other than slight power imbalance, i think antis blow there "toxic" traits out of propertion. of course, some others may disagree, but I don't think they are that bad of a toxic couple, Mabel and reverse mabel are very different due to circumstances and so are the bills so. idk man.

anyway, mabill is generally also a funny ship, they have such good moments of comedy in them, that i also LOVE

Normal mabel x will-I like to think that mabel goes into the relationship thinking. "I can help him get out" to "Okay, but first I have to fix HIM"

other than that, I like to think there pretty sweet together, Will is able to keep a composure of how fucked up he is so he doesn't tread over mabel as a person. ignoring that Mabel is definitely strong enough fo r him. there so cute

Why we don’t have a MaBILL

After reading the entirety of The Book of Bill, including the lost Journal 3 pages, I HATE Billford. I *HATE* THE SHIP WITH EVERY SINGLE FIBER OF MY BODY. WITH EACH INDIVIDUAL LITTLE ATOM AND MOLECULE IN MY BARE BEING, RELEVANT AND IRRELEVANT, THE MERE THOUGHT- THE MERE *IDEA* OF BILLFORD'S EXISTENCE- MAKES MY BLOOD **BOIL** LIKE A STEAMING HOT CUP OF TEA.

Bill mentally, physically, & psychologically tortured Ford. When Bill was possessing his body when he was asleep, he physically HARMED Ford by scraping and slamming his knuckles against the metal doors leading into his laboratory. He almost THREW HIM OFF THE ROOF OF THE DAMN SHACK. "Omg toxic yaoi!!!! Literally exes!!!!! 😍🤭" That is not 'toxic yaoi', that is an abusive relationship between an insane thousand year old demon and his victim. Quit romanticizing abuse.

"WILLOW YOU'RE JUST BEING DRAMATIC, EVERY FANDOM HAS THESE PROBLEMS!!!! the two gathered their own fabrics within their hands. pulling apart small strings that they found. plucking away at the hems. fingers wedging into the silk and lace. they collected themselves with secret states before returning to asking, " what of thy, sweetly stranger who blesses us with word of plenty ?? truly dotting upon our hearts. " amelina held out her hands. stealing upon the long necked bottle. taking a sip before exhausting her wits further, " what a taste !! like lovely spices upon thine tongue !! " she handed it to her sister.

Mabel sat curled up on her small bed William let her have, in a state of half-consciousness. He wasn’t around right then, and she felt an ache in her chest as she missed him. Last he was here, he had cut her up some, drawing pictures of fire on her skin with a knife, but now he was doing something else. He was the one who took care of her, who fed her, who hurt her in such nice ways, then even healed her and kept her from dying. He loved her, and she loved him back. 

Even as she lay down on the bed, she was trembling slightly from the pain in her body. Her legs were twisted at odd angles, and every single one of her fingers was missing. She wasn’t bleeding much, thanks to William, even so. She was bruised all over and had various cuts and stab wounds. As well, one of her eyes was missing, leaving an empty socket.

Even though she was covered in wounds, she was remarkably clean, especially since William had recently washed her. She had some blood on her, though, from the most recent time he hurt her, around the various clotted cuts on her body. Her clothes had some old blood stains that had been difficult for him to get out, but were otherwise clean, and the rest of her was clean as well.

She whined softly, shifting in place. She wanted William to come back. To soothe herself, she reached up and rubbed the leather collar around her neck with the palm of one hand.
