It's funny Seon Ho is my favourite actor. Joo Hyuk isn't. Infact I wasn't even sure he was going to be good. I didn't think he was bad but I didn't think he was good either. This drama changed my mind. I honestly just like the character. I said I could even relate. If someone else who portrayed the character just as well as he did who I never ever saw on screen before it would be the same. It's that so hard to believe that there are people like that?

Bride of Habaek

Bride of Habaek (or Bride of the Water God) was one of those dramas that I started but never completed.  It was shown in 2017 at tVN.  Shin Se Kyung was Yoon So-A, a psychiatrist who becomes involved with the powerful Water God named Ha Baek, played by Nam Joo-hyuk.  Ha Baek is destined to rule the realm of the gods and needs to obtain three powerful stones from the mortal world to help him claim his throne.  He enlists the help of  So-A, descendant of the mortal family whose members are fated to serve him from generations past.  So-A is also destined to be his bride.  

I actually liked Nam Joo-hyuk and Shin Se Kyung and found them quite cute together.  There were a lot of contrived scenes and the usual Kdrama romcom tropes, and sometimes the leads were a bit wooden, especially Nam Joo-hyuk (probably in order to look arrogant, brooding and serious).  And I liked one of the songs from its OST, “The Reason Why” by Yang Da-Il.  I guess I just lost interest along the way.  

i think this drama would have worked better for me if it were an anime.
