Simon & Clary Relationship

So is the show totally just going to forget that Clary and Simon grew up together and are practically two halves of a whole? No. No. It's okay. "Cool lunchbox" and "Anymore than I would cut off my right hand and give it to someone as a Valentines day gift" because apparently that doesn't spell best friend it spells a friend that Clary spends time with but isn't best friends with when clearly Simon says. "You're Clary you're my best friend" What next? Alec being desperately in love with Jace? Isabelle following downworlder's around like a lovesick fangirl? Jace actually liking Simon at first? Nope. Not giving any ideas. But seriously this Clary-Simon-Dot friendship things bugs me so much I mean it's okay that Clary has friends other than Simon but her and Simon are inseparable they come as a duo and could eventually even become parabatai. I can cope with Luke being an NYPD but Simon and Clary not being best friends? I'm sorry that's the one thing I can't accept. I'm sorry for the rant but this is so sad I probably won't be able to sleep. It'll take a while to accept I guess the writers are planning on using these random characters for character development TV does it all the time, who knows maybe she'll betray Clary, get killed and so on just to develop Simon and Clary's relationship. Simon isn't some hopeless puppy who follows Clary around because he's been in love with her for 10 years he is genuinely her best friend, he'd dive into any sort of danger for her and she would do the same.
