He scooted closer— you noticed by the hot air coming down your neck— and puckered his lips out to you.

“I’ll explain everything. I’ll show you pictures of the players and what each of them does out on the field.” He batted his eyelashes at you.

I mean, you did say you wanted to start learning more about ‘el club de sus amores’ (his words, not yours), so you were really up against the wall here.
