HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Dan Akroyd, Pamela Anderson, The Beatles’s 1963 recordings of “I’ll Get You” and “She Loves You,” Marc Benno, James Cotton, Delaney Bramlett, Andre Braugher, Geneviève Bujold, Leslie Caron, Leon "Ndugu" Chancler, Andraé Crouch, Bobby Day (“Rockin’ Robin”), Olivia de Havilland, Princess Diana, Willie Dixon, the great gospel music legend Thomas A. Dorsey a.k.a. Georgia Tom, Missy Elliot, John Farnham, John Ford (The Strawbs), Jamie Farr, Farley Granger, Randall Hall (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Deborah Harry, Evelyn "Champagne" King, Charles Laughton, Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, Terrence Mann, June Montiero (The Toys), Franz Xaver Murschhauser, Cavan O'Connor, Sydney Pollack, David Prowse, Alvino Rey, Alan Ruck, George Sand, Marty Schneider (of the fab band Trip Wire), Amanda Seales, Ignaz Semmelweis, The Sony Walkman (1984), Johann Ludwig Steiner, Sufjan Stevens, Twyla Tharp, the Tour de France (1903), Liv Tyler, Jeff Wayne, Keith Whitley, Brandee Younger, and my old friend + one of my first music mentors Mike Kanski. He was “an influencer” long before social media, going way back with me (age 10). While I watched in awe, he was the first singer-songwriter I witnessed to perform a live demo of an original song, and he set an example by getting a “real job” so he could purchase a quality guitar (vs. cast-offs and cheapies), showing that if you want to get somewhere you had to make sacrifices. Musical milestones in our long friendship include a handful of demos, impromptu house concerts, and a couple public performances (not to mention countless turntable gab sessions over tea and mix tape swappings). Here’s a clip from a cafe set we did in Florida (read the video caption for an expanded Kanski tribute!). Meanwhile, HB MK—thank you for your years of cheerful music-making!

I thought I posted this on my tumblr when I did it, but I didn't. So here is the Halloween episode of the Temisan Adoki Experience on Twitch from 10.31.21...two years ago today. I don't go to Halloween parties and I never get booked to DJ any Halloween parties, so I like DJing on the turntables in my apartment.
Now for those of you wondering, I have to admit, I was going through a period of time where I didn't want to do music anymore earlier this year. I let some haters get in my head with their negative criticism, I was sick and tired of my new music getting ignored by music journalists, and I was just frustrated about making money with it that I forgot why I do this...for enjoyment. For stress relief. For my mental health. And most importantly, to have fun.
It took the encouraging words of some friends online and IRL to get me back on my shit. Not to mention, I've been DJing since 1999, this is just second nature to me.
With that said, enough of me babbling and rambling...here's the mix and the tracklist. Thanks for your support.

TURNTABLES AU: THE KRIEGHAUS CORRESPONDENCE LETTERS
CONTENT WARNINGS: mentions of torture methods, evil RHM content, death, corpses, trauma, very vague descriptions of medical procedure
you have been warned
February 27th, 2014
To: Hubert Galeforce
From: Wilhelm Krieghaus
I’m surprised you decided to contact me. I was under the impression the Toppats were an “every man for himself” sort of group.
That said, I think you were right to be concerned this time around. The impression General Copperbottom gives off is of someone that believes Toppats are tantamount to war criminals.
I’ll talk with The Lieutenant soon and try to assure things remain as civil as possible in this situation, although I can’t exactly guarantee he’ll be receptive. He seems to be very irritable since Canterbury’s arrival.
April 2nd, 2014
To: Hubert Galeforce
From: Wilhelm Krieghaus
He wasn’t very receptive. In fact, he got angry at me for even suggesting that we try for more peaceful resolution. I didn’t expect him to agree with something fully nonviolent of course, but it was like he couldn’t fathom a solution where it wasn’t required.
He went as far as to mention the idea of enhanced interrogation. I reminded him that people are debating about it right now; that a majority of people in the US find it barbaric, and him enacting it would cause unneeded controversy.
Usually The Lieutenant is a very practical and logical man, but I’m worried that what I told him won’t be enough to sway him.
May 17th, 2014
To: Hubert Galeforce
From: Wilhelm Krieghaus
He enacted the first set of interrogation techniques that I mentioned in my last letter. I didn’t exactly expect him to do it, but now that he’s crossed that line, I’ll have to shift my goal.
I can’t prevent him from breaking ethical codes, but I’ll try to dissuade him from going into more physical interrogation methods. I don’t have much else to say.
I can barely register it all.
January 23rd, 2015
To: Lieutenant R. H. M.
From: Wilhelm Krieghaus
I read what you’ve written down. Your recent activities, and your thoughts behind them.
What’s wrong with you?
I’m serious. I never expected all of this to come from you. Sure, you’ve never been the most expressive person, but you’ve always had a good core. You’ve always cared about people.
The way you talk about it is all I can think about. Like you’re doing menial housework. Like you’re cleaning a window. You hate it, but once you’ve done it, you sound so proud.
I can’t believe that you’d just do that. There has to be something I’m missing. We need to talk about this as soon as you have time off.
February 7th, 2015
To: Hubert Galeforce
From: Wilhelm Krieghaus
I talked with The Lieutenant again the other day. I’m a little out of sorts. I’m sorry if this isn’t as succinct or formal as usual. I failed at dissuading him from more unsavory ideas again. It’s like he’s determined to do this.
What does he even have to gain? What does he want from the Toppats? Do you know? Is there even anything specific, or does he only have venom for you because he’s General Copperbottoms sycophant?
I’m sorry. You don’t even know what I’m so upset about. Next week, he’s incorporating more barbaric enhanced interrogation techniques. I can’t guarantee Canterbury’s safety (mental or physical) anymore. If there’s anything I can think of that I can do aside from giving you updates, I’ll let you know.
February 15th, 2015
To: Lieutenant R. H. M.
From: Wilhelm Krieghaus
You haven’t come by my office lately. I assume it’s over our disagreements? Look. I don’t want our friendship to end over political differences.
I may not agree with you, but why is that a problem? Please consider: If you understand my perspective, and I understand yours, it can be beneficial to the both of us. As people, as friends, and as military workers. Just food for thought.
I don’t think having only the general as company is good for you.
April 3, 2021
February 29th, 2015
To: Hubert Galeforce
From: Wilhelm Krieghaus
The more time passes, the more this escalates. From what I’ve heard, Canterbury’s jaw is broken. There isn’t much I can do for him at the moment. I have no way to access him.
This entire situation; The Lieutenant, The General, having to lie to the higher-ups, having to see my colleagues lie for their own sakes: It’s FUBAR.
This surpasses the legality of what you do. This surpasses legal jargon in general. This sort of thing is ethics.
The most I can do is document, although I don’t know how helpful that is right now. I’ll keep you posted if anything new comes up.
To: Lieutenant R. H. M.
From: Wilhelm Krieghaus
I’ve been thinking about the Canterbury situation, lately. More specifically, about his broken jaw. I don’t think he’ll be able to confess anything in that state.
I know it’s pointless to ask you to stop the enhanced interrogations, but may I suggest stopping the waterboarding? It’s impractical.
I just want you to think about it.
May 27th, 2015
To: Hubert Galeforce
From: Wilhelm Krieghaus
This will be brief. Not much new has happened, just more torture. It brings me no pleasure to write that so flippantly.
Today, though, was a lot. Several hours ago, everyone in the camp heard screaming. Not just yelling, or your standard screams of distress we’d almost grown used to; this was different. It was inhuman shrieking.
I asked The Lieutenant what happened, but he just shrugged and said “nothing”. He’s never lied about what he’s done before. I believe him.
… What was that, then?
June 28th, 2015
To: Hubert Galeforce
From: Wilhelm Krieghaus
Canterbury’s brother was threatened, according to the Lieutenant’s logs. I would recommend checking on him, or keeping an eye on him in general.
The Lieutenant hasn’t crossed that line yet, but I don’t know how long that will last.
[12:23 AM]
July 20th, 2015
To: Hubert Galeforce
From: Wilhelm Krieghaus
The Lieutenant has become unrecognizable to me at this point. I never thought he’d go this far. At this point, he’s stopped caring whether or not Canterbury ends up dead.
At first I thought he was never this type of person. A big part of me desperately wanted to believe that General Copperbottom took something small in him and twisted it into something horrible.
The fact of the matter is, The Lieutenant was like this all along. He just never got the opportunity to show it until now.
September 7th, 2015
To: Hubert Galeforce
From: Wilhelm Krieghaus
The Lieutenant came into my office today. He looked so tired. There wasn’t anything else there. He announced: “I killed him.” And sat in front of me in silence for an hour, before leaving.
After an entire year of torture, horror, lying and corruption:
This can’t be how it ends.
The Final Canterbury Log
-Wilhelm Krieghaus
September 9th, 2015
This is the last I’ll write or speak of the matter. After this, I’m done, I’ll wash my hands of this affair, and strive to get court-martialed. Two nights ago, Thomas Chestershire brought H.J. Canterbury’s corpse to me.
I asked him what for, and he told me “The body’s our best chance of getting those two in trouble”. He seems more tired of them than I am. I never really noticed how he felt before I guess. It never mattered.
On top of the conditions Canterbury had been subjected to for a year, rigor mortis had already set in quite a bit. There wasn’t much chance of being salvaged, but dammit I was tired of the constant stress.
So I did what I could.
There was so little left of him at the end of the day, but there was enough. All you really need is a brain; who you are, how you feel, and all your memories. I could have had nothing but a brain.
I had his brain functioning pretty early on, but most of his organs, all his limbs, and his mess of a bottom jaw had to be replaced with advanced augmentations.
It cost me two nights of sleep and basic self-care, but that’s a given.
I have him strapped to the bed currently, for his (and my) safety. His condition is stable but I don’t know when he’s going to wake up.
When I’ve sufficiently explained the situation, I’ll need to find a way to get him to the Toppats undetected and unsuspected (pardon the rhyme.) That is, assuming he will even be able to function that well.
It’s also a possibility that he’ll wake up, with very heavy physical and mental impairments.
I’ll need to make a plan for that.

LP in free download here https://archive.org/details/Invisible_Illusion_Electronic_Control_lp ep in free download here https://archive.org/details/ardleg_electronic_control_ep The Necrophile Hummingbird Netlabel presents Electronic Control [LP] by Invisible Illusion and Electronic Control [ep] by ardleg. "Kairological Music for Conditioned People".I'm very happy that the second Invisible Illusion is a split with ardleg. Because ardleg is a companion of sound explorations since many years, in the collective KWAY https://archive.org/details/NomenclatureGenerale or next in La 6ème République https://archive.org/details/ROSA_LUX_La_6Eme_REpublique also for Zone fusION https://zonefusion.bandcamp.com/album/now-matter despite it's still not published on the netlabel. We are no more living in the same town but we try to keep collaborating thru time & space. Like I did with Humanfobia for the first invisible illusion TOHU WA BOHU https://archive.org/details/Invisible_Illusion_Tohu_Wa_Bohu_Disc_1 I sent the raw improvisation session to ardleg and he created these upgraded tracks listenable on the EP. And next I reworked a little the raw tracks adding several layers to two of them, reading poetry on another one and that's the LP. I prefer called them EP and LP to avoid any order. That one would be before or after is irrelevant. You can listen first one or the other or both at the same time it's up to you, like for the world : alternatives are better. Seems that one important point with Invisible Illusion project is to show the result of different development process apply to one source...About the surface of this album : I found a plastic turntable cover with the inscription "electronic control", it was transparent so I thought I would be able to made an interesting artwork cover by taking a shot thru this. Then I decided to create an accurate music for it. After the quite dark Tohu Wa Bohu I wanted to slowly glide to the light. That's why despite it could have been far more on the electronic side actually it sounds very industrial music with a touch of "jazz", not real jazz more the sort of dark jazz Mecano did on Autoportrait album. Also the silence within silence has been record for the excellent compilation silence by Camembert Electrique. It's a slightly different version https://camembertelectrique.bandcamp.com/track/silence-within-silence than the both versions listenable on the LP.About the depths of this album :Do you remember ? The first time you disobeyed to an order, not to something maybe acceptable from a skilled authority but from the kind of authoritarian people without skill, needing hierarchy power to show they are above the other, despite it could be just small team chief with very little power, the smaller they are the more they need to prove it by being nasty. Do you remember how the struggle for this freedom make you aware of who you are ? Disobedience is one thing but it's meaningful only if it leads to autonomy. What a pity if slaves break their iron chains to swap with golden chains. I will try to talk the less possible about control, because it makes me sick, but it's the plot of this album. There is only one song with real lyrics and Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche quotations, most of the music is echoing the feelings grown inside me in the last few years. So since the covid excuse to build up the electronic control society, situation is awful, it was already the case several years ago : there was the increasing level of state violence, state terrorism and media censorship. It can still get worst making us our own cops, all that black mirror shit already more than half happens. If it needs to resume : shock strategy worked perfectly and now as some said there will be no way back without fighting for our rights. Well this sounds naïve, if you remember the subprime crisis or the looting of Greece, you know that the dices are loaded : states, banks, multinationals create rules that they never really follow. Corruption is the replication process of capitalism virus. (Hand in
hand with mafias). So what ? Solidarity is the antidote. Perhaps keep a space to think by yourself, act by yourself at your local level, your own way, keep your dreams alive and don't feed the nightmare with your hopes. And at some point we may wake up. All things begun with a little riddim joke came from a french broadcast http://jetfm.fr/site/-The-Russian-Fortune,165-.html, talking of a kind of CON conspiracy : control, comfort, consumerism... when you dig words in C working in that same objective of freedom annihilation it's amazing because seems you can always find a new one. And that's the way all things end. Good listen & thanks a lot for the support. Love+Share+DIY ed end Video Art Clip Soon or later here https://www.bitchute.com/channel/mixuptv/ Special thanks to Elmut Schwartz who helped to change Invisible Illusion's diapers. Dedicated to everyone uncontrollable and subversive acting all over the world.

((Thanks to the modern AU RP’s I’ve been doing with @erika-de-claire, I’ve decided to scribble down a bunch of headcanons for said modern verse!
Also known as the Everyone Lives and Nothing Hurts AU)) -- -Because life in the modern day is much more forgiving than life in the 17/1800′s, Randall’s family life is considerably better: Wilhelm Pace, refusing to give up on getting on the wagon and staying on it, manages to do so with the help of his family and AA, and June Pace never dies of scarlet fever. They live happy lives in New Orleans, without the stigmas they face in the main verse.
-Randall and Emily still meet in a similar fashion to the main verse (where she’s been engaged to a rude but wealthy banker, said engagement having been set up by her parents), but naturally, their courtship has a much happier ending, since Emily leaves her suitor at the altar (after crushing his foot with her heel and throwing her bouquet to her parents) and drives away with Randall. Her parents rarely, if ever, speak to her again, but Wilhelm and June happily welcome Emily with open arms.
-Dorian lives a happy life with Elizabeth, having been encouraged by Randall to pursue her, despite the Gracey family’s objections to the union, and keeps his family’s mansion open not only as a historic landmark, but as a home for wayward souls who have nowhere else to go. Beau will give tours to visitors, showing off the historic estate and telling of its long and storied history.
-Also, Dorian absolutely insists upon being the cool uncle to Erika: He showers her with gifts from an early age, and whenever Randall and Emily want a night to themselves, he’s always the first to volunteer to look after her. Seeing how close he and Randall are, he feels it’s his duty to always be there for his best friend and his family.
-Randall owns and operates his own little haberdashery in town, mainly making hats, though he’ll also patch up just about anything brought to him, as well as apply appliques and decorative patches if his client desires. Emily offers dance lessons at the local community center, but she’ll sometimes drop by her husband’s work and help out there as well.
-Madame Leota and her daughter own a fortune parlor not far from the Mansion, and as such, they’re very acquainted with the Gracey household, up to and including those staying there, and will read palms and give fortunes for a reasonably price. Little Leota spends a lot of time at the Mansion, mostly to see Beau (her mother doesn’t approve).
-Randall, in the modern era, has quite the movie collection, most of them being older horror movies that have been re-mastered and restored over the decades; the majority of the collection is VHS tapes, but he doesn’t eschew DVD’s. He loves to hold family movies nights with Emily and Erika, as well as their friends and family, all of them crowding into the Pace’s tiny living room to watch.
He also has a fair share of vinyl records, with a turntable his mother gave him. He loves to dance to the records with Emily and Erika, and has something to play for just about every get-together. With Erika going to Auradon and being away from home for quite sometime, he sends her a Walkman player and a bunch of cassettes tapes for her to listen to while she’s away.
