the highs and lows of amateur archiving

so, an update on this post: turns out that there a lot of pages that don’t load properly in the wayback machine. to elaborate/copypaste from my archived links doc:

The text above the map on “Your Neighborhood!” doesn’t show up at all. The link to “You” is still there, but the text itself is completely invisible and I can’t highlight it. The updated character bios, minus the initial introductory blurb for each character, are also missing.

The “News” page is blank, both after the January 14th update and the February 25th update.

Some of the new secret pages either load incompletely or not at all. The audio file from yxwvoe/singingmp4 cannot be seen or played, and neither can the video from eovwxy. The text on voywex loads, but the accompanying image of Wally does not.

The links on the homepage are also still invisible.

normally, i would have taken some backup screenshots in case something like this happened. but The Thing Is, i had to ship my laptop halfway across the country for repairs and only got it back The Exact Same Day The Site Went Down For Maintenance.

so if you have any of the following:

Screenshots of the “Your Neighborhood!” map (even just the text at the top of it) and the updated character bios taken after January 14th, 2023.

Full text of the updated character bios from after January 14th, 2023. (It does not matter if this is only available through screenshots, I would just need the full bios for alt text purposes.)

Screenshots of the “News” pages from after January 14th, 2023 and/or February 25th, 2023 (Not as urgent, as previous news bulletins have been preserved with each update in the past, but it doesn’t hurt to ask, since there’s no way to view them otherwise until the site’s back up.)
