Turedus Talanian: I JUST PUT MY SHIRT ON AND THERE WAS A SCRIB IN IT!
Aryon: Or did you just put a shirt on that a scrib was already wearing?

Morrowind: Master Aryon, of House Telvanni meets fellow magister at Tel Vos.
You may recognize Terra (on the right)—an altmer sorceress obsessed with hoarding spoons—from Spoonmagister's regular postings on r/Morrowind. Terra claims she is aware of meta-gaming events like: bugs, console commands, savefiles, dangers of falling through holes in geometry and NPCs blocking doorways etc. This however, is most probably, just a side-effect of powerful constant-effect illusion enchantments on her clothes (which, as you might imagine, have detrimental effect on one's sanity).
P.S: Turedus Talanian, Aryon's bodyguard (in the middle) has never approved of Terra regularly stealing spoonware from the tower. Aryon, on the other handbeing accustomed to dealing with eccentrics like Therana (also a voracious hoarder)—is fairly lenient towards the fact.

The Affairs of Wizards
by Turedus Talanian
Information for people interested in joining House Telvanni
Archivist’s Note: Published sometime prior to 3E 427 in Morrowind. Given the insular nature of Morrowind and the isolationist tendencies of House Telvanni, it was rare to find this text outside of Morrowind even shortly after it was published. However, The Affairs of Wizards provides valuable and unique insight into the values and norms within House Telvanni near the end of the 3rd Era.
---
Want to Become Part of House Telvanni?
Outsiders learning of the rabid isolationist and outlander-hating temperament of House Telvanni wizards often assume it would be impossible to obtain positions in service to House Telvanni.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
For example, since the Telvanni vigorously defend the right to own slaves, and since they keep many Argonian and Khajiit as slaves, many Argonians and Khajiit assume they would not be accepted for service with House Telvanni.
Not true. Telvanni accept all races as candidates for membership.
And, since the Telvanni are ruled by wizard-lord nobles, many assume they accept only candidates of the highest intelligence and willpower.
Not true. Telvanni accept candidates of modest intelligence and willpower.
It is true that advancement in Telvanni ranks depends on high intelligence and willpower, and that candidates proficient in the arts of magic -- especially Mysticism, Conjuration, Illusion, Alteration, Destruction, and Enchanting -- can expect to advance faster and higher in the ranks.
But adventurers of all races and abilities who apply to Telvanni Mouths at the Telvanni Council Hall in Sadrith Mora for acceptance in House Telvanni can expect a cordial welcome.
(Telvanni Councilors do not serve on their house councils in person. Instead, they are represented by a 'Mouth', a trusted subordinate in residence at the Council Hall, acting on his patron's behalf, receiving messengers from their patrons and casting their patron's votes in Council affairs.)
The truth is that House Telvanni wizard-lords depend on loyal, well-paid, skilled retainers for most services. Though House Telvanni does recruit from their own lower classes, they must go outside their house to hire the craftsmen and specialists they need. And since for political reasons House Telvanni has chosen to reduce its reliance on Redoran mercenaries for protection and security, it has been forced to turn to Western mercenaries for guards and agents.
Promotion in the ranks of House Telvanni, however, is very difficult for outsiders. Most disconcerting for some potential candidates is House Telvanni's casual acceptance of murder and assassination of rivals as a means to advancement. Those reluctant to prove their worthiness by killing off the competition, and those uncomfortable about competing in such a ruthless atmosphere, might better employ their time and efforts in the Mages Guild.

At long last, I’ve been able to combine the two great passions of my life: climbing and Morrowind! Frankly, I’m surprised it took me this long. Anywhoo, I do like mountaineering and climbing IRL, and I’ve always been super impressed at the fitness level of my Morrowind character. Like, it is difficult to even *walk* up one mountain in a day, and yet she jumps up multiple mountains almost every day. That is ridiculous. So I like to imagine that she would be super buff, woody, and fit from jumping up mountains all the time. Her jumping muscles would be especially well developed! And of course (as mentioned before), I essentially live in Tel Vos when I play Morrowind, so Steen living in Tel Vos is an accurate depiction of the gameplay I like to think that Turedus Talanian is amazed and perhaps somewhat envious of Steen’s amazing muscles, whilst Master Aryon is just completely unperturbed by the whole thing. Partly because I imagine it would take a lot to ruffle his feathers, but also partly because Aryon sees Steen all the time so it is old hat for him. I also thought it would be a good sub-joke if Steen got so huge that she couldn’t fit into her old pants anymore, so she would start walking around wearing… essentially a leotard I guess. But I’m not sure if that part of the joke really reads well here, hence why I decided to spell it out.
