This performance-oriented iteration boasts a dynamic design, feature-rich interior, and a powerful turbo-petrol engine, catering to driving enthusiasts. But with two variants – N8 and N10 – the question arises: which one best suits your needs? This comprehensive guide delves into the variant-wise features of the Creta N Line, empowering you to make an informed decision. Decoding the Variants: N8 vs. N10 The Creta N Line arrives in two broad trims – N8 and N10. While both variants share the core sporty essence, the N10 packs in some additional features, elevating the overall experience. Let's dissect the offerings of each variant: N8 Variant The N8 variant serves as the entry point to the Creta N Line experience. Here's a breakdown of its key features: Exterior: Setting the tone for a sportier stance, the N8 boasts 18-inch alloy wheels with red brake calipers, N Line badges, and red highlights adorning the bumpers and side skirts. Auto-LED headlights with connected LED DRL strips and taillights ensure excellent visibility. Additionally, you get roof rails, a black grille with body-colored door handles, black ORVMs, a rear spoiler, and a shark fin antenna for a sleek and sporty profile. Interior: Stepping inside, the N8 welcomes you with an all-black cabin theme accented with red, creating a sporty ambiance. Leatherette seats with N branding, a matching leatherette-wrapped steering wheel, and a gear shifter further enhance the sporty feel. Metal finishes on the accelerator and brake pedals add a touch of premium-ness. Comfort is ensured with height-adjustable headrests and driver's seat, a rear parcel tray, front and rear center armrests with storage compartments, a 60:40 split-folding rear seat, and a sunglass holder. Comfort and Convenience: The N8 variant boasts features like a 2-step reclining rear seat for enhanced comfort on long journeys, a panoramic sunroof to elevate the driving experience, dual-zone climate control with rear vents for maintaining a pleasant temperature throughout the cabin, wireless phone charging for added convenience, and drive modes (Eco, Normal, and Sport) that allow you to tailor the vehicle's performance to your driving style. Additionally, traction control modes (Snow, Mud, and Sand) provide better handling in challenging conditions. Paddle shifters (for automatic transmission), cruise control, push-button start/stop, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs with auto-fold functionality, tilt and telescopic steering wheel adjustment, a cooled glove box, USB Type-C charging ports at the front and rear, a 12V power socket, all four power windows, a boot lamp, a semi-digital instrument cluster, steering-mounted audio and calling controls, a day/night IRVM, and puddle lamps with a welcome function round out the comfort and convenience features. Infotainment: The N8 variant comes equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for seamless smartphone integration. Bluetooth connectivity and a 6-speaker music system ensure your entertainment needs are met. Safety: Safety remains a top priority with the N8 variant offering 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), hill-start assist, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), all disc brakes, 3-point seatbelts for all occupants, ISOFIX child seat mounts, a rear wiper with washer and defogger, a dual-camera dashcam (unique to the N8 variant), a reversing camera with guidelines, and rear parking sensors to assist with parking maneuvers. N10 Variant (What You Get Extra Over N8) The N10 builds upon the N8 foundation, adding a layer of premium features: Exterior: The N10 retains the sporty exterior elements of the N8. Interior: The N10 takes the cabin experience a notch higher with the inclusion of an 8-way powered driver's seat for enhanced comfort and control, an auto-dimming IRVM with hotkeys for added convenience, and rear seat headrest cushions. Comfort and Convenience: Where comfort and convenience are concerned, the N10 shines with features like ventilated front seats for a luxurious feel, a 360-degree camera for enhanced parking ease, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) that provide features like collision avoidance, lane assists, blind spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control (in the N10 DCT variant only) for a safer and more assisted driving experience. Under the Hood: Turbocharged Performance The thrill factor in the Creta N Line comes courtesy of a sole turbo-petrol engine option. This 1.5-liter unit churns out a healthy 160 PS of power and 253 Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). Hyundai claims a fuel efficiency of 18 km for the manual variant and 18.2 km for the DCT variant. Price Check: How Much Does it Cost? The Hyundai Creta N Line arrives with an introductory price range that starts attractively at Rs 16.82 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India) for the N8 MT variant and goes up to Rs 20.30 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India) for the top-of-the-line N10 DCT variant. This positions the Creta N Line at a premium compared to the regular Creta, but it offers a significant performance and feature upgrade for those seeking a sportier driving experience. The Competition: Who are the Rivals? The Creta N Line carves a niche for itself in the growing segment of performance-oriented compact SUVs. Here are some of its key competitors: Kia Seltos GTX+ and X-Line Volkswagen Taigun GT Higher-spec variants of the Skoda Kushaq and MG Astor Frequently Asked Questions Q: What are the two variants of the Hyundai Creta N Line? Europe’s new family car headed down under
Tumblr media
Europe’s new family car headed down under The latest hi-tech machine coming out of Europe brings good looks and a sporty drive, but there is one area letting it down.Europe’s new anti-SUV is on its way.The new Skoda Octavia wagon and sedan is set to land in local showrooms from late April with prices for the three-tier range starting at $30,390.Built on the same platform as the new Volkswagen Golf – which is due later this year – the Octavia brings updated styling and tech.Headlining the changes is the dumping of the dual-clutch automatic in favour of a conventional eight-speed automatic in the base Ambition and mid-tier Style versions. The range-topping sporty RS version keeps the seven-speed dual-clutch auto.A 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine making 110kW and 250Nm powers the base Ambition and mid-tier Style grades. A feisty 2.0-litre turbopetrol unit making 180kW and 370Nm is found in the top-spec RS.The Octavia Ambition is priced from $30,390 in sedan form and $31,690 as a wagon.Looks have been boosted with LED head and tail lights, 18-inch alloy wheels and silver roof rails.Infotainment is taken care of via a 10-inch touchscreen that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. And all models come with the brand’s excellent digital dash.Unfortunately safety gear is kept to a minimum with auto emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection the only big ticket item.Buyers of the Ambition grade can’t even option items such as lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert.Cu Read the full article

Renault Sandero Driver’s Review
The new Renault Sandero is armed with fresh styling and plenty of standard specification.
With a turbocharged 898 cm3 unit delivering 66 kW and 135 N.m of torque, I expected there to be a little more oomph, but I soon discovered that I needed to make good use of the Sandero’s rev range and five-speed manual ‘box to get it to feel as zippy as I would like it to be, which is weird for a forced-induced car. This, I suspect, will impact on fuel consumption - an area that turbocharged units are supposed to thrive in. Renault claims a consumption of 5,2 litres/100 km. The Sandero’s ride is slightly firm as a result of the 15-inch wheels, but it’s not uncomfortable. It’s also a very settled vehicle thanks to the standard fitment of a stability control system in both the Expression and Dynamique models.
The 20-something-year-old side of me (we shall name her Fun Kelly) that has little money and places a lot of value in well, value for money and how much nice stuff (as I would say were I chatting to my friends) I could get for my hard-earned cash, doesn’t always look at engine offering and ride quality first though. What this side of me immediately considers is how many people can I fit in the vehicle with relative comfort, would there be space for all our luggage should we want to road trip, how can I play my tunes to sing along to and how comfortable is the car as a living space.
In terms of people-carrying abilities and luggage space, the Sandero offers a decent amount of both. The rear bench is able to house three passengers and offers ample legroom for all. Renault claims that the boot can swallow 292 dm3 of luggage - more than its closest competitors that offer 270 dm3 in the case of the Volkswagen Polo Vivo, 251 dm3 for the Toyota Etios and 284 dm3 for the Ford Figo. When it comes to music, the Sandero offers an MP3-compatible audio system that can play CDs or be connected via USB or Bluetooth. There’s also the befit of satellite audio controls behind the steering wheel. On a comfort level, there’s cruise control and air-conditioning (available as an option on the Expression) in the high-spec Dynamique model, while both come fitted with central locking, a height-adjustable steering column, and safety features that include ABD with EBD and brake assist and dual front air bags (with side airbags available on the Dynamique).
We also have to consider the fact that this is a Renault and that while it’s an excellent value proposition straight off the showroom floor, there’s always that part of my mind wondering what the aftersales experience would be like. Let’s be honest, it faces stiff competition, all of which come with relatively good after-sale support and wide dealer networks, and two of which are locally made, so parts should be easier to come by.
Then we’re swayed by the fact that, even though the dealer network isn’t as big as the others' and even though servicing comes courtesy of a multi-franchise, Renault SA has given this vehicle a standard 2-year/30 000 km service plan and a 5-year/150 000 km warranty. Of its competitors, only the Etios has a service plan to match that of the Sandero’s.
With all that it offers as standard, the Sandero is a bargain. The verdict is this: the engine isn't quite up to scratch and, therefore, the engine may need to be worked a bit harder than one would like, but I can’t deny that it’s good value-for-money. There aren’t any cars at this end of the market that can offer all that the Sandero offers. It's a very tempting buy among a crowd that offers rather basic specification. If you can live with an engine that underperforms slightly, the Sandero is definitely worth a look.

Hyundai has introduced a new variant, the "Executive," to its popular subcompact SUV, the Venue. This new variant targets budget-conscious buyers seeking the thrill of the Venue's turbocharged engine at a more affordable price point. Unveiling the Executive Variant The Executive variant slots between the mid-spec S and S(O) trims, offering a compelling option for those who prioritize performance under the hood over certain exterior and interior features. Exterior Design: At first glance, the Executive variant closely resembles the S(O) trim. It retains the same 16-inch wheels with stylish wheel covers, roof rails, and even a new "Executive" badge adorning the tailgate. However, a noticeable difference lies in the absence of the connected LED taillights found on the S(O) variant. The Executive sticks with traditional halogen headlights, while the S(O) boasts LED projector units with LED DRLs and cornering lamps for enhanced visibility. Interior Comfort and Features: Stepping inside the Executive variant, you'll find a comfortable and practical cabin. The key highlight lies in the 2-step reclining function for the rear seats, offering increased passenger comfort on longer journeys. Additionally, adjustable headrests for all seats ensure a personalized seating experience. While the Executive prioritizes affordability, it doesn't compromise on essential features. It comes equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a convenient feature for staying entertained and connected on the go. The manual air conditioning system keeps you cool and comfortable, while rear AC vents ensure consistent temperature distribution throughout the cabin. For added safety, the Executive variant comes equipped with six airbags and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). Engine and Transmission: The Hyundai Venue Executive is offered exclusively with the powerful 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, a choice not available in the base-level E variant. This engine delivers 120 PS of power and 172 Nm of torque, paired with a smooth-shifting 6-speed manual transmission. This combination provides a thrilling driving experience, allowing you to enjoy the responsiveness and power of the turbocharged engine. Competitive Pricing: The primary advantage of the Executive variant lies in its attractive price point. Starting at Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), it significantly undercuts the S(O) variant, which starts at Rs. 10.75 lakh for the manual transmission variant and Rs. 11.86 lakh for the automatic transmission option. This makes the Executive variant a compelling choice for those seeking the performance and driving pleasure of the turbocharged engine at a more budget-friendly price. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs): Q: What are the key differences between the Executive and S(O) variants? A: The Executive variant offers the same turbocharged engine as the S(O) at a lower price point. However, it misses out on features like LED headlights, connected LED taillights, and a sunroof. Q: Is the Executive variant available with an automatic transmission? A: No, the Executive variant is currently only offered with a 6-speed manual transmission. Q: Who is the ideal buyer for the Executive variant? A: This variant is ideal for budget-conscious buyers who prioritize performance and value the thrill of the turbocharged engine.

The new Toyota Corolla
Toyota Corolla, one of the most successful model names in automotive history makes a striking return. Taking over the Auris name badge in South Africa, the Corolla recalls a memorable history in this country – mostly with sedan models, but also the Corolla Conquest and Avante variants of the 80’s and 90’s – and this new hatchback builds on its predecessors celebrated qualities of contemporary design, driving dynamics and efficiency.
DESIGN
With the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) chassis as its basis, the Corolla is longer, lower and therefore sleeker than its Auris predecessor. The striking nose features all-LED lamp clusters, with integral daytime running lights beneath the curved edge of a flatter, clamshell bonnet and narrow upper grille.
Beneath that, trapezoidal lower grille features a new mesh design and a frame that projects powerfully forwards with a grille surround that generates Toyota’s signature ‘catamaran shape’ at the front corners of the car. It emphasises the car’s width and gives the Corolla that aggressive broad, sporting stance.
Like the front, the rear styling is more rounded than before and a 14-degree increase in the angle of the rear screen and muscular haunches above the rear wheel arches combine to give the car a more compact appearance. All-LED light clusters, located as far to the two corners as possible emphasise the car’s width, while the rear bumper styling echoes the ‘catamaran’ look of the front. A lower rear lip features a black-out design matching the; and all versions of the hatchback feature a roof spoiler and shark fin antenna.
The new Corolla hatch comes in six exterior colours, including three new colours – Scarlet Metallic (Red), Oxide Bronze and Caribbean Blue.
INTERIOR
The highest levels of visual and tactile quality were the goals of the dedicated Toyota Motor Europe Sensory Quality team (also responsible for the Toyota C-HR crossover’s acclaimed interior) when styling and designing the Corolla’s drivers and passenger environment.
The result is a spacious, modern and cohesive cabin with new textures, colours and trims that are both ergonomically practical and eye-catchingly styled. The slim instrument panel, for example, is not only key to generating a sense of spaciousness, but it improves forward visibility, while still allowing for the driver to be positioned lower and closer to the car’s centre of gravity for a more engaging driving position.
The driver’s cockpit has that real wrap-around feel and the sporty nature is echoed in a front seat design that has also optimises comfort and reduces fatigue on long journeys. The high-grade Xr models also have slim Alcantara-covered front sports seats with wide shoulder supports that combine with solid, thick side bolsters to really grip your upper body and thighs when cornering.
The revised rear seats feature a new seat cushion material that allows for more even distribution of the occupant’s weight and, as standard, all rear seats can be folded using a remote lever to create a fully flat extension to the loadspace.
ON THE ROAD
That TNGA platform mentioned earlier is the foundation for all Toyota’s future powertrain and vehicle development and the version of this modular platform employed in the Corolla is designated the GA-C. With it, the GA-C brings considerable dynamic handling benefits to the new Corolla range, thanks to it being both being torsionally stiffer (by 60%) and lighter, as well as offering a lower centre of gravity.
Not only does a new multilink rear suspension mean there is less intrusion in the loadspace, allowing for an increase in load volume, but handling stability, steering response and ride comfort are notably improved. The latter is also thanks to a new shock absorber valve design in both front and rear suspension systems also reduces friction by 40% resulting in a smoother and more comfortable ride.
Under that stylish front bonnet is a 1.2-litre four-cylinder turbopetrol engine that delivers 85kW and a constant torque curve of 185 Nm between 1,500 and 4,000 rpm through either a 6-speed manual or a new 10-speed Sport Sequential Shiftmatic Continiously Variable Transmission (CVT). The engine is the same power unit found in the Toyota C-HR and it is good for a brisk 0 to 100 km/h of 9.5 seconds for the manual (10.4 for CVT) and the top speed of 200 km/h (190 for CVT). Fuel consumption has been pegged at 6.1 litres per 100km for both manual and CVT variants.
SAFETY
The Corolla Hatch features a host of active and passive safety features. There are a total of 7 airbags – driver and passenger, along with two side and curtain, as well as one for the driver’s knee – plus Vehicle Stability Control is standard, along with the full suite of electronic aids present (ABS, EBD, Brake Assist and Hill-assist Control). It also comes standard with ISOFIX attachment points for child seats.
WARRANTY AND SERVICE PLAN
All Corolla Hatch models come standard with a 6-services/90 000 km Service Plan and 3-year/100 000 km warranty. Service intervals are set at 12 months/15 000 km.
THE RANGE
There are three models in line-up:
Corolla Hatch 1.2T Xs 6MT – R 336 800
Corolla Hatch 1.2T Xs CVT – R 347 400
Corolla Hatch 1.2T Xr CVT – R 367 100

MODIFIED Maruti Vitara Brezza wants to be a Jeep Compass SUV in India; Pictures & Details
New Post has been published on https://www.autohubindia.com/modified-maruti-vitara-brezza-wants-to-be-a-jeep-compass-suv-in-india-pictures-details/
MODIFIED Maruti Vitara Brezza wants to be a Jeep Compass SUV in India; Pictures & Details
Here’s is yet another Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza sub-4 meter compact SUV that wants to be the much more upmarket Jeep Compass. And the modified Brezza pulls off the Compass look pretty well. The main change to the Brezza is the Compass-like 7 slat grille, which is standard on all SUVs from the Jeep brand.
In fact, the 7 slat grille is a signature design highlight of all Jeep SUVs sold across the world – something that instantly comes off as a Jeep ‘design trait’. The other change to the Brezza is a faux skid plate and bumper inserts, both parts sold through Maruti’s iCreate customization program.
Apart from these changes, this modified Vitara Brezza is more or less a stock car in terms of mechanicals. It’s powered by a 1.3 liter Fiat Multijet turbodiesel engine with 89 Bhp of peak power and 200 Nm of peak torque. A 5 speed manual gearbox is standard.
In contrast, the Jeep Compass is a much more powerful SUV, with 1.4 liter turbopetrol (160 Bhp-250 Nm) and 2 liter turbodiesel (170 Bhp-350 Nm) engine options. The Vitara Brezza and the Compass are two very different SUVs, priced at different levels (Rs. 7.2 lakhs for the Brezza vs Rs. 15.2 lakhs for the Compass). In short, they can’t really be compared.
Meanwhile, there’s talk of Maruti adding a petrol engine option to the Vitara Brezza, which so far has been a diesel-only model. The petrol engine in question could be the 1 liter-3 cylinder BoosterJet turbopetrol unit borrowed from the Baleno RS. This engine makes about 101 Bhp-150 Nm, and gets a 5 speed manual gearbox as standard.
For now, Maruti has been selling over 10,000 units of the Vitara Brezza each month, and the addition of the petrol engine could boost sales further. The Brezza starts from Rs. 7.28 lakhs for the base-diesel LDi variant, going up to Rs. 9.73 lakhs for the top-end ZDi+ variant.

Is the Peugoet 2008 SUV here to shake things up?
Tumblr media
By Khulekani Dumisa (@sirkhulz)
The new Peugeot 2008 SUV launched last month and I got a chance to try it recently. My review is in two parts. Part 1 is about the stuff you need to know about the Peugeot 2008 SUV. Part 2 comes from the target market of the Peugeot 2008 SUV – ie couples in their early 30s. I kinda won't be upset if you jump straight to part 2 if you fit this profile.
The stuff you need to know…
When I first saw the new Peugeot 2008 SUV, my first impression was that Peugeot is serious about turning around its fortunes.  Peugeot has produced something that looks likes its ready to do the job whilst looking good in the process.
So I decided to name my test car Marie (French girl child name which means hoped for child). I set out to answer if the Peugeot 2008 SUV is the hoped for child for Peugeot South Africa. Let's face it, the 31 cars sold nationally in March are not a fair reflection of where Peugeot should be.
Before we get very far, let's deal with the elephant in the room. Peugeot is aware of the negative perceptions associated with French brands. The company has committed to addressing these issues as part of their turnaround strategy and as a consumer, you should hold Peugeot to this commitment.

The Peugeot 2008 is a beautiful car inside out. The car has a bit of a premium feel to it thanks to the superior materials used in its interior. Step inside the front, you are greeted by an inviting dashboard which is dominated by the head-up instrument panel and touchscreen that complement each other well. The Peugeot SUV 2008 has one of the smallest steering wheels out there. Whilst this is initially a shock to the system, it comes in handy when cornering and doing tight steering manoeuvres in malls. I also enjoyed the uniquely designed hand break in the form of an upside down golf club driver with soft metal edges and a leather centre.

There’s ample cabin space for front and back passengers. The boot is also decently sized. Outside, the Peugeot 2008 SUV is quite a looker. Although not too different from the previous generation, the design tweaks will have you turning (compact SUV) heads everywhere you go.

The Peugeot 2008 SUV range is powered by two engines, a 1.6 litre turbodiesel engine (that is good for 68 kW and 230 Nm) and a 1.2 litre turbopetrol engine (which pumps out 81 kW and 205 Nm). The engines are offered in manual and automatic. Both are claimed to return a cheerful 4.0 L/100 km and a respectable 5.4 L/100 km. I enjoyed Marie’s 1.2 litre turbopetrol engine.
Having driven the pioneer in the segment, ie the Nissan Juke, my impression is that the Peugeot 2008 SUV is here to give foes a run for their money. No one is safe. Would you have ever thought of automatic lights, cornering assist fog-lights, automatic wipers, stop-start system, folding windows, touchscreen, etc. as standard kit in a compact SUV? Probably not but such is the potency of the compact SUV wars that Peugeot has decided to throw these as standard features in all models.
Peugeot are the first to concede that the Peugeot 2008 SUV is not a traditional off roader. This will not however hold back the Peugeot 2008 SUV from tackling all sorts of terrain thanks to its Grip Control traction control system. Unfortunately this system is only offered in the GT Line (interestingly the Allure 1.2 PureTech Automatic I tested had the Grip Control traction control system and I got to play with it and it worked well). The drawback for the Peugeot 2008 SUV is that it sits lower than most of its competitors. Buyers in the segment may not be as concerned about the off-road stuff as much as they are about a heightened ride position.
The Peugeot 2008 SUV is prized as follows:
Active 1.6 HDI Manual - R274 900
Allure 1.6 HDi Manual - R299 900
Allure 1.2 PureTech Automatic - R324 900
GT Line 1.2 PureTech Automatic - R349 900
The above prices are inclusive of a three-year or 100 000 km warranty and a three year 45 000 (really? Peugeot could do better) service plan.
After spending time with Marie, I got the impression that she is the hoped for child for Peugeot. She's up there with the best in terms of tech and drive quality and worth looking at before you commit yourself to anything else.
The target market speaks…
Now that you know enough about the Peugeot 2008 SUV, what does the target market for the car this about it. I spent time with two couples who were pleased with the Peugeot 2008 SUV.
Couple 1
The first couple I spent time with drives a Jeep Compass. The Compass is a segment higher than the Peugeot 2008 SUV so you can imagine that the standard was pretty high. Being the ever prepared lawyers they are, they came to the test drive with two car seats. Their feedback - they loved the overall space of the car, especially the boot. They had thought the car was much smaller looking at it from outside but they were pleasantly surprised when they got inside the cabin. Surprisingly Vuvu*, the husband, liked the small steering wheel as he thought it increased visibility.

Couple 2
Like the first couple, the second couple have something that is bigger than the Peugeot 2008 SUV. They drive a 2017 Mercedes Benz GLC 250 d AMG. Surprisingly, their overall impression of the Peugeot 2008 SUV was positive. They also thought the Peugeot 2008 SUV it is bigger inside than it appears from outside (something for the Peugeot designers to take note of).

This is not scientific feedback but it is positive feedback nonetheless for Peugeot.
Major like: touch screen. Major dislikes: wobbly brake in automatic and low riding position. Party trick: roof lights inside the car.
