"Sometimes I'm just tired." It's a far more honest admission than Huey's made to the rest of his family, but there's a freeing lack of expectation when he's with Elias. And he is tired. "But this is what our family does. If I can't keep up, how can I make sure Dewey and Louie are okay?" / @tunnagan​ 

▬▬▬ ☆      Elias was more than  happy  to  talk  with  Huey.  Especially  if  there  was  something  bothering  him.  As  he  listened  to  his  son  talk,  he  sighed.  Of  course,  he  knew  that  feeling.  He  was  the  oldest  sibling  as  well  &&  had  his  fair  share  of  being  exhausted  by  his  sisters.  But  Huey’s  situation  had  another  layer  to  it  that  Elias  never  had  to  deal  with  as  a  kid.  So  he’d  try  to  help  in  the  best  way  that  he  could.  

                                ❝  Pequeño, I know you worry about tus hermanos, but you also have to worry about you. The adventuring can be a lot && everyone needs a break sometimes. You’ve got to trust that the rest of your family will keep them safe as well. You do trust them, ¿no es así?  ❞

▬▬▬ ☾☆      Della gave Huey a  look  of  confusion,  followed  by  frustration.  Why  was  he  acting  out  so  much  all  of  a  sudden?  

                                  ❛  Huey, I don’t like any of you better than the other. You’re my sons, I like && love you all equally. Really, I do. Now what is going on with you lately? You yelled at Webby, fighting with Dewey -- talk to me.  ❜

               “Dewey just shut up for once in your life!” There was real, genuine anger in Huey’s voice. “No one cares about your stupid show! Not even mom!” / @tunnagan​ | BREAK MY MUSE’S HEART - accepting. 

            Dewey did stop talking  when  Huey  yelled  at  him.  His  brother’s  comment  hurt,  but  why  should  he  show  that  when  Huey  was  being  such  a  jerk?  So  instead,  he  clenched  his  hand  into  a  fist  &&  grit  his  teeth  so  that  he  wouldn’t  lash  out.  But  when  he  mentioned  mom,  he  lost  it.  Suddenly,  Huey  was  being  tackled  to  the  ground  &&  punches  were  being  thrown.  

                                  ❛  Take it back! Why are you being such a jerk?! If there’s anything mom doesn’t care about, it’s you!  ❜

▬▬▬ ☾☆      Okay, maybe she was  going  a  little  bit  overboard  here.  But  she  couldn’t  help  herself!  This  was  one  of  her  favorite  rides  &&  she  was  excited  she  got  to  do  it  with  the  boys!  As  the  teacups  spun,  Della  had  taken  over  the  wheel  &&  started  spinning  it  more  --  they  were  going  ridiculously  fast  at  this  point,  their  teacup  spinning  way  faster  than  the  others.  Maybe  Della  had  smacked  their  hands  away  so  she  could  spin  &&  maybe  she  hadn’t  immediately  noticed  that  Huey  was  turning  green.  So  she  stopped  her  spinning  &&  smiled  sheepishly  at  the  boys.  

                                  ❝  ...Sorry, honey! Got a little excited! Ride’s almost over though!  ❞

Akita continued to inspect the work. "But it can be far better. There are too many flaws to make this function properly. Start again."

         Huey looked up at Akita at the compliment, the ghost of a smile already on his bill at the kind words. It was nice, getting some kind of acknowledgement for his hard work without having to go out of his way for it. Though, the smile disappears as the dog continues. All he wanted was for him to be able to stop at a compliment, for Huey’s work to be impressive enough that all he received was praise.

So, his eyes turn back to his project, the beginnings of a robotic suit not unlike Gizmoduck’s, though right now it existed mostly in just bits and pieces. The biggest being the exoskeleton of what would be the arm, though it seemed like he would be starting at square one with it.

                   “ I- Y-yes, of- of course, sir.. ” Huey says with only a big of hesitance as he slides the arm pieces off to the side. He has to lift himself up onto his toes in order to reach across the table and get the parts that would become his new starting place.

"hey mom." it's a hesitant red clad duck, hat twisted between his hands. he's never had to ask advice like this before and definitely not from his mom. his mom, that was never going to lose it's thrill. "can i- i mean, i uh... i need advice on something. usually i'd check the jwg but it doesn't cover this sort of issue which is really a major oversight considering how many children go through their formative years as junior woodchucks. after all, we're meant to work on interpersonal relations-"  / @tunnagan​ | unprompted.

            ▬▬▬ ☾☆      Della looked up from  her  phone  (  she  would  conquer  Twitter  one  of  these  days  )  when  Huey  entered  the  room.  She  was  instantly  interested  in  what  he  had  to  say,  especially  with  how  nervous  he  looked.  He  was  asking  her  for  advice?  Her  heart  swelled,  just  to  have  the  chance  to  help  him  with  this  dilemma.  But  that  raised  another  question  immediately.  

                    ❛  Wait wait wait -- Hold the phone! Huey, do you have a crush on someone? Who is it? Is it someone from the Junior Woodchucks? I can definitely give you advice.  ❜

✧ — ⋆ Huey is losing his mind. He must be. It feels like every day he has less and less evidence about what is happening. He swears he has more than this. He swears he took more than this. He must have! He barely as anything now. Almost nothing to work with at all.

Had he had more than this? Is he blowing this out of proportion? Thinking it was bigger than it was? That he was more of a help than he thought he was?

He hasn’t been sleeping well.. maybe he’s just tired. Maybe he’s just crazy.

No, he’s not crazy. Things are missing. People are missing. And this is just more proof. But how can he explain to someone that his lack of proof is in fact more proof?

They’re going to think he’s crazy too...

          He rubs at his head, a pounding beginning as he tries to put two and two together, but his twos are slowly dwindling into 0s.

Huey doesn’t get it yet, but its okay. 2BO knows that eventually his friend will understand that there’s no point being ‘good’. He just needs time.

2BO smiles at him, eyes returning to their normal mode, though his irises are still a vibrant laser red. His grip loosens slightly, registering the damage he’s inflicting on the duckling.

“You don’t have to hurt anyone, Huey. That’s what I’m here for, so the people I care about don’t have to do the bad things themselves.”

           2BO isn’t getting it, he thinks this is okay, but it’s not. He can’t hurt people just because he wants to, not even the ones that were mean to him or Huey. There has to be a way that Huey can get him to rethink this.

                    “ But... what if someone tries to shut you down again because they think you’re evil? ” He takes a step closer to the other boy, flipping the hold so that he was holding both of 2BO’s hands in his and holding them close to his chest. He has to make the other understand. “ I don’t want to risk loosing you again. ”

▬▬▬ ☾☆      She knew what was  happening  here.  She  knew  &&  she  didn’t  like  it.  Della  could  feel  the  lump  forming  in  her  throat,  her  heart  breaking  into  a  million  little  tiny  pieces.  Deep,  deep  down,  she  felt  a  rage  like  nothing  she’d  ever  felt  before.  She  could  believe  that  FOWL  would  do  this,  but  that  didn’t  mean  she  liked  it.  Like  hell  she  would  let  them  tear  her  kids  away  from  her.  She  refused  to  go  through  this  again.  

            Kneeling down in front  of  her  son,  she  put  both  hands  on  either  side  of  his  face  gently.  This  was  important.  She  needed  to  tell  him.  She  would  be  damned  if  she’d  let  them  take  her  boys  away.  

                                  ❛  Huey, honey. I need you to listen to me okay? This is so, so important. I love you && your brothers more than I have ever loved anyone. Ever. I always want you around. But honey -- do not let them get to you like this. I know it’s hard. They will lie to you. They did it to Donald && I when we were kids.  ❜  Della  dropped  her  voice  then,  trying  to  stay  quiet.  ❛  Take everything they tell you with a grain of salt. It could be a lie. && no matter what perk they try to give you -- Don’t fall for it. Stick by your family. No matter what. Do you understand me?  ❜

            She’d never been so  determined  for  the  boys  to  know  something.  Della  took  a  shaky  breath  &&  leaned  forward  to  kiss  the  top  of  Huey’s  head.  Every  day,  she  wished  she’d  been  a  little  bit  better  at  keeping  the  boys  hidden  when  they  were  eggs.  But  this  was  where  she  was  now  &&  there  was  nothing  she  wouldn’t  do  for  her  boys.

"You want me to plant evidence in the lab?" Huey frowned briefly, considering the difficulty of getting it past Gyro. "I should be able to do it. He trusts me enough in his lab that he might not notice if new things are in the lab." (to heron, you know why)  / @tunnagan​ 

            Heron had a folder  in  her  hands,  having  just  explained  the  red  one’s  assignment.  His  brothers  had  turned  out  to  be  massive  disappointments  in  regards  to  these  missions,  but  it  was  no  matter.  One  was  all  she  needed.  She  smiled  at  the  boy  &&  nodded.  

                                  ❛  Yes, that is what I want you to do. It doesn’t need to be visible. I just need it to be there. You aren’t going to let me down, correct?  ❜
