Before I begin this I would like to clarify,

I have adhd and I am hyperfixated on good omens, have been for about 3? months, so i was (?) a Neil Gaiman fan.

Ok, now to actually start (sorry I haven't posted before I dont think? maybe once or twice). When I opened up tiktok earlier i thought I was getting pranked in a sick way, but nope, Neil Gaiman could possibly be a creep. Decided to hop on tumblr because a few people were saying it is going crazy, and they were right. The first thing I see when I look up his name is people shaming his fans.

I in NO WAY want to make this situation about the fans and "oh but only imagine how sad his fans feel", because if the allegations are true we would be glossing over the pain of his victims. But I do wish people would chill out on immediately dogging his fans.

First off, I had NO CLUE he was a zionist, and if I had i would have tried to separate art from artist as much as possible (i pirate GO tho so i think im good for now) But if a superfan like me didn't know this please be kinder to casual fans alike for just simply being uninformed.

Secondly, why are we hating on people for enjoying media? One of the top posts was about how "oh maybe dont make a whole piece of media ur entire personality", like ok sorry im neurodivergent😭

Basically what im trying to say: please be nicer to good omens fans rn, we DO CARE about the victims and a show that has saved some of our lives just happens to be connected to this situation. Obviously the focus should be on finding out the true story and supporting the victims, but please dont bully GO fans for being disappointed that their favorite show could possibly be canceled. I know it doesn't seem like the top priority to most people rn because it isnt, but it IS scary when you literally cried over a show taking 4 years to contine, then finding out it may not happen at all.

Lets focus on lifting up the victims vs bringing down the fans please

first: i would like to apologize for disappearing without a word for like. nearly a year. im terribly sorry for any worry i've caused T_T;;

honestly i have no good excuse for disappearing like i did especially without reason (not that im obligated to let everyone know my business but i did have a "i wont randomly disappear!" sentiment and yet... here i am) but in a nutshell, its basically: fandom shifts, college, and guilt.

as a fan? idk how to answer this as a fan anon, bc no matter which side i take i'll still sound like a jerk.

so i'll try to be as rational as possible. relationships take two to work. both must make compromises, accommodate for one another. give and take. the way i see it, which is poorly one side was making all the sacrifices, while the other wasn't. probably because when you love someone so much and they're not willing to compromise, you try everything in your power to make it work. but that seldom works out in the end.

she seemed to really love him and want a family with him but he wasn't ready for that. i could feel the pain in her voice. i empathise with her. he was selfish, put too much on his plate, didn't know how to deal with it, and got scared. i can see why he was scared too, it's tough to balance yourself on the apex of a pyramid. but if he chose to give her up for the sake of his status/image/career, now he's paying for that choice with the loss of that very status/image/career. deserved, i would say. poetic justice or whatever.

idk when you sent this anon, but it seems like both of them have apologised now. both made some mistakes, some bigger than others, and i can only hope they're both healing and moving forward from this. because if there's anything i got out of those apologies, it's that they're both tired of this being dragged out and scrutinised by the public eye, at the end of the day it's their business and they deserve to deal with privately.

Been lurking on the Percy stuff on twitter, tumblr and insta these past few days. Found your blog, I read everything. I dont think I believe these girls but tbh it makes me feel like im a crap human being. I legit feel like shit because what if he did something to someone and those victims are getting shut down and bullied online.

But if he didnt do anything and they are just using this for revenge over some petty high school drama and falling out then omg. I cant even imagine what this kid went through in the past month. The humiliation, the name calling, the worry about his future, those freaking nudes. I would be in a depression by now no joke. I would be thinking about killing myself. If he is innocent for the love of God I hope he has good, supportive and calm people around him.

Im sorry to write to you while everyone seems to be caught up, but I just have this awful feeling in my chest about all this. I miss the days when I just used to fight about Xavier vs Tyler. Those were the days. Now I just feel like an disgusting human being for not believing everything these girls have said. Its been hard as a fan not gonna lie and not knowing the actual truth ever will be so hard to deal with.

I know that this is still relatively new and that maybe once he appears with Jenna somewhere or Georgie things will be better maybe, hopefully I dont know. But until then I dont think that little rock in the middle of my chest will go away every time I think about this.

This Wednesday fandom is very toxic I find, more than any other I have been a part of so far. I hope things get better, thats all I can do at this point, just hope

It's okay to not be "caught up". And it's okay to not believe in these girls. You aren't disbelieving on them to be a horrible person, you are because their stories have changed so many times. I have thought a lot about what you said - what if he did do something? And the conclusion to my thought process is this: these girls had 2 weeks where they were heavily supported online. They could have brought forth evidence. Gone to the police. Found anyone that he actually did something to, even if he never did anything to them, and their stories really are all lies. But they didn't. And they tried. They tried a lot to imply that there were more victims. No one came forth. Only victims of people Percy had been friends with. And that he isn't friends with anymore. He isn't responsible for anyone's actions other than his.

If he did do something to someone (and I don't believe this because no one came forth with actual evidence while he was being heavily canceled by the internet...) these girls screwed any chance of anyone believing. They have wronged this so much, that they made it way more difficult to any victim to come forth about a celebrity abusing them in the future. They are hurting real victims.

I'M SO SORRY i saved this to my drafts because I had written a long thing and tumblr deleted it so i needed to rewrite it... and then I forgot about it... IM SO SORRY!!!! I actually don't have a whole lot of webtoon recs bc I haven't read that many, and only would rec a few from the ones I have read, but I will gladly share some that I've enjoyed/am enjoying!!!!

No Home (집이 없어) there is no official tl but it's being scanlated on other sites (by whatafruit)!! This is... quite possibly one of the best things ive ever read... it's a drama about high school kids and their home problems/traumas... please read it the writing and characterization is SO good and nuanced, the storytelling and pacing is masterful, the characters are so loveable yet so realistically flawed and show their ugly human sides... PLUS THE ARTSTYLE IS SOO CUTE AND IT'S FUNNY.... 100/10 best webtoon (I actually need to catch up TT I know it'll make me CRY so ive been putting it off...)

"When the Day Comes": this is a slice of life/school romance one... but even if you don't like slice of life pls give this one a chance i promise u it is so good u wont regret it... the writing and characterization is realistic and nuanced and the characters are all so loveable... plus the art is GORGEOUS... and there was unexpected LGBT rep that made me so happy TT I love omyo's writing... and if you enjoy this one pls also check out "the stories of those around me" if u want to see more of the author's work!! that was one of my first webtoons and I still love it..

I already rec'd Lee Yeon's work but in case anyone didn't see... pls read "The Makeup Remover"!!!! that's one of my recent all time favs... and I'm also enjoying "Surviving Romance" by this author which is still ongoing! It's a zombie horror/thriller (but it's not too gorey!! i hate gore and it's rly mild/mostly censored... i love lee yeon's art style and chara designs its a big insp) I admit i didn't like SR's writing as much as TMR but it's still a really fun read (esp binging) and the pacing is really engaging... (ALSO DONT JUDGE LEE YEON'S WORK BY THE THUMBNAIL IT'S REALLY MISLEADING LOL....)

and currently I'm enjoying "Rewriting our love story" on webtoon... there's only 8 eps translated on webtoon so i cant for SURE say how good it is lol but so far im pleasantly surprised? like its rly good for a "het romance" webtoon... and the art is cute! so if u dont mind het romance join me in waiting for updates lol
