@tulsaartistfellowship Yesterday was sporadic, yet peaceful for me. After having such a good time on Friday celebrating Juneteenth, Saturday was a slow start. My morning was spent corresponding with family and friends either on social media, text message, or email. I wasn't sure what to make of the men who were outside my apartment window carrying guns. They eventually headed to black wall street. I assumed they were going to post up to protect folks on that end, which prompted me to keep my distance. In the afternoon, I went to the Reasor's on 15th street only to find it closed for the remainder of the day. So I headed to the one on South Peoria. With my few groceries, I headed back home. My plan was to set up on our rooftop, work, and monitor the overflow crowd that never materialized as predicted. People definitely marched, but it was all peaceful. I did go over to where the Trump rally was being held. Definitely not the overflow that was expected. I returned home, sat on the rooftop with a glass of wine and watched that awful empty speech. Went to my apartment to get a refill. Noticed Black Lives Matter being projected on the building next to me, got excited, I was proud of my neighbors, needed a better pic. Went outside, heard noise. Off to the block party I went. I stayed about twenty minutes. Then rode a scooter around the neighborhood letting the peaceful feeling set in. Returned home, to the rooftop, had my second glass of wine, gathered my things. It was now after midnight. I prepared my light dinner, which was grilled chicken, asparagus, red grapes, unsalted saltines, and two glasses of lemon water. I watched some news. Then prepared for bed. I'm guessing I dozed off around 2am or so. I was happy things stayed peaceful and productive.
