After reading your Friendship Drabbles, I have a question for you; Which of our Hogwarts friends that we’ve rarely seen paired up or even never paired up before do you think would be really cool to see interact with each other?

Ooh, now that's an interesting thought! Hmm...well, one I liked including in those drabbles was Murphy McNully, Badeea Ali, Tulip Karasu, and Rowan Khanna as members of a Wizards' Chess Club! I liked the Chess sidequest Jam City wrote for the first three, and it just seemed so logical for Rowan to be among their ranks too. Rowan and McNully in particular I feel would find a lot of common ground, especially since they'd be in the same house.

Speaking of Rowan, I also really like the idea of Rowan and Ismelda Murk getting on better in years 5 and 6, especially if Rowan is sorted as Slytherin the way mine is! I feel like after MC helps Ismelda with her crush on Barnaby, Ismelda would open herself up a bit more to accepting help from other people in her year regardless of how different they are from her, and considering that Rowan and Ismelda are both so interested in History of Magic, I could totally see them striking up a (whispered) conversation or two over an essay in the library or something. One of my heacanons that admittedly flies in the face of the game is the idea that it's Ismelda who ultimately takes over teaching her class History of Magic in Rowan's stead after their death in year 6, and in my personal version of the Circle of Khanna, Ismelda actually joined the organization not just because Merula invited her to, but actively out of wanting justice for Rowan.

I also think Chiara Lobosca and Nymphadora Tonks would have developed a very close bond over time, both before and after school. Not only are their dormmates who quite frankly could learn a lot from each other, but I love the idea that half the reason Tonks is so blase and accepting about her future partner Remus Lupin being a werewolf is because she met and fully accepted Chiara first. I also really like the idea that Chiara was the one who put Tonks in contact with Lupin and the Order of the Phoenix in the very beginnings of the Second Wizarding War.

Speaking of dormmates, Charlie Weasley and Ben Copper were good friends at school, you can rip that idea out of my cold, dead hands. In my headcanon, I actually imagine Charlie -- in true Weasley fashion -- becoming a bit protective of Ben after Merula targeted him so openly in their first year for his ancestry. When Ben went through his radical transformation in year 6 and hexed Charlie, the two ended up in a full-on physical fight, though they mended fences when they helped co-found the Circle of Khanna.

Ravenclaw dormies Talbott Winger and Andre Egwu, on the other hand? I'm sorry, these two were always trading sassy barbed comments with each other, I don't make the rules. ("You aren't seriously thinking of going out to Hogsmeade in those, are you?" "I'm not the one strutting about in purple and white-striped pants." "They're lavender-and-white slacks. And they are fashionable, compared to -- whatever hokey American ridiculousness you've got strapped to your feet." "I'm surprised the supposed 'King of Fashion' doesn't know what cowboy boots are.")

Finally I love the idea of Chiara connecting really well with Talbott! I wrote Carewyn befriending these two back-to-back in her fourth year due to how well their side-quest plot lines synced up (and honestly, their introductory TLSQ's were among the best in the entire game, IMO) and I just love the thought that these two "Lone Wolves" in MC's year could find some fun common ground despite their shared tendency to ward people away from them.

Another person that ends up close friends with Chiara in my headcanon is Jae Kim, though there's a bit more Jam-City-canon ammunition behind this. The game also included the ideas that Talbott was friends with Penny before MC and Talbott and Badeea connected through the Circle of Khanna, and I like the thought that Talbott kept in contact with both of them well after Hogwarts too. Even Merula and Tulip's game-canon fractured friendship, which I don't imagine healed that well at school, I personally like imagining improved after Tonks's death, when Merula and Tulip both took comfort from each other at her and Lupin's funeral.

Ocarina of Time Zelda - Favorite Flower

Teeny tiny headcanon - Ocarina of Time Zelda’s favorite flower is a tulip. The more I lookup artwork for OoT Zelda, the more I randomly stumble upon pieces that show her with tulips. There are occasionally other flowers, but tulips are the most prominent, which is what inspired this headcanon. 

Tulips are seen in the Castle Courtyard when Link first meets Zelda while she is peering through the window into the castle. Seeing them so often (at least while she was growing up) would likely lead to her becoming fond of the flower, and I imagine she would have more re-planted once she returns to Hyrule Castle after Ganondorf is defeated. 

To add a bit more sentiment to the flowers (besides the fact that every flower has meaning, which is something Zelda has studied in depth), I like to imagine that Zelda’s mother also loved tulips, and she was the one that first requested they be planted around the courtyard/in the gardens. Zelda learned this, likely from the gardeners and/or Impa, so tulips also allow her to feel more connected to the mother she never had a chance to know.

Merula Snyde had been trapped in her own hateful cycle for years. It all stems from her childhood, one she neither likes remembering nor sharing with others, but someone deeply hurt needs to vent on someone else and she had picked you as the target of her teasing and bullying. She was not sure why she picked you, at first. Possibly because your brother was a rumoured oaf, and she expected picking on you would be just as easy and badmouthing him. Or you were just at the wrong time at the right place. Neither of those options fully express what she had felt when she first saw you: hate. Hate and…attraction. It terrified her, the way her heart jumped all the way to her throat. She had never quite seen anyone so…Different.

She tried her best to surpass these bubbling feelings. She tried to ignore how guilty she felt after another argument with you, or how she looked for you because she wished to simply see you, not make you ill. All those confusing, conflicting emotions she tried to dub as hate. She hates your laugh, your friends, your whole presence makes her sick.

It feels like a new dawn has risen, the realisation sharp, yet familiar. She watches silently, far enough for you and Tulip not to see her, as you and your girlfriend link hands, walk down the corridor, your backs getting lost behind a set of double door. You and she were whispering, whispering like lovers, not friends, and Merula knows how lovers look because she had once held hands with Tulip, too. It hurts, at first. Seeing you with anther, seeing you with Tulip of all people. But soon that hurt spills into venom like jealousy, burning like coals from the inside out. She sneers.

“Come on, Ismelda.” She grits her teeth, her gaze lingering on the doors you and Tulip had disappeared through. The other girl, immersed in her own plots of revenge, glances at Merula, “We have business to attend to.”

“Does that business include blood?”

Hi everybody!

I made my third set of character (re)designs based on the character design style of Scooby Doo! Mystery Incorporated. For this round, I’m drawing the ladies: everyone’s favorite rule-breaker, Tulip Karasu (featuring Dennis the musical toad), and our potions princess, Penny Haywood.

I’ve made some slight modifications. The “Z” in the Zonko’s notebook Tulip has isn’t exactly like what’s in the game but I made my own version of it. In Penny’s case, I added her potions belt to her look because it’s quite a cool accessory to have. It also deserves some airtime away from that white shirt. (I still wish it was an accessory and not a top with that white shirt. Also, damn. Drawing braids is so hard.)

My goal, as I’ve mentioned before, is to illustrate certain HPHM characters based on a pool of characters who I think my MC would be closest with. Hopefully, when I finish, I can put everyone together and make a panomaric of the lineup.

Theme Park: who’s the first one on the roller coaster? Who vomits in the trash can? Who cheats at the arcade games to win the giant teddy bear?

i think that kat, tonks, charlie, and rowan would be the first ones to be in the line for the rollar coaster on any day!!! if they have a good experience depends on the person tho lol,,,, tonks and charlie would be completely fine, rowan would probably feel nauseaous but otherwise fine, and kat would not be able to walk for at least three minutes fbndndd,,,,,, she tries her best but sometimes it’s just. too much excitement. i headcanon merula as someone who suffers from motion sickness, so if she ever went on a particularly intense rollercoaster i don’t think it would end well for her ;-;. but she usually avoids those unless kat really wants to go on one with her. first and last time she ever asks, though merula admits that laying her head in kats lap was pretty nice, at least when the nausea wore off. for cheating at arcade games,,, tonks, merula and maybe ismelda (if she plays the arcade games at all. prolly doesn’t even care about the prizes, just shoots the balloons for sport). tonks is self-explanatory and merula is a huge sap so she’d want to win one for her girlfriend to be like “yes look at how capable i am. you love me so much you want to kiss me so bad.” they get kicked out of the park for causing a huge ruckus when all of them got in the kids bouncy castle and accidentally popped it.

Escape Room: who gets stuck on a puzzle? who breaks the buttons? and most importantly: do they get out?

okay so for this one i’m imagining specifically the ravenclaws bc this seems like one of those ✨house bonding✨ activities so lets go. i think that kat would get stuck on the puzzles that are like,,, pretty simple? she overthinks every single puzzle, especially as the timer ticks down lol. i think that rowan would probably break a few buttons accidentally, bc she’s super enthusiastic about this! hes so excited! overall i think they’d do a pretty good job as long as it’s not too convoluted or has too many moving parts, since talbott wants to do his own thing and badeea and andre are messing with every piece of wall art and tulip somehow snuck dennis in and it’s an absolute mess if they try to work as a single unit lmao. they would get out though, they’re all pretty clever! it’s just teamwork that would probably do em all in in the end chndkdkd

Tulip Karasu is -- quite honestly -- a person who no one would ever have thought would befriend someone like Carewyn Cromwell. From the time she first arrived at Hogwarts, Tulip was determined to place herself apart from the stifling rules of her parents and have fun causing lots of trouble. In the beginning, it led her to befriend Merula Snyde, but they had a falling-out in their third year, which made it a bit hard for Tulip to want to try making friends again. The first person to really reach out and try was Carewyn -- although she had wanted Tulip’s help in dealing with the Cursed Vaults, she also expressed genuine concern for Tulip and her feelings, which the Ravenclaw quite frankly had not expected. And over the years, although Tulip thought Carewyn was a huge stick-in-the-mud and would consistently prank and mess with Carewyn alongside her best friend Nymphadora Tonks, she never forgot Carewyn’s kindness. Tulip even occasionally showed an odd flash of protectiveness toward Carewyn at school, pulling pranks on or bluntly shutting down any students dumb enough to hit on the Slytherin Prefect that Tulip didn’t approve of. The Ravenclaw always envied that Carewyn -- like her other friends Tonks, Badeea, and Charlie -- knew what she wanted to do with her life post-Hogwarts, but never so much that she resented Carewyn’s success. Despite them not being as close as a lot of the other friends in their circle, Tulip still without hesitation joined the Circle of Khanna to help Carewyn take out Rakepick and avenge Rowan, and Carewyn showed Tulip unequivocal support in every job she took over the years (from training choir frogs and working for a magical travel agency to shopkeeping at both Borgin and Burkes and Weasley’s Wizarding Wheezes). After the death of her best friend Tonks, Tulip sat next to Carewyn for the majority of the funeral, knowing that her old friend would be sensitive enough to know she just needed someone to hold her hand and not bring attention to how much she cried.

How do the HPHM characters find out MC has a crush on them? (Hogwarts Mystery Headcanons) - Part 1

Rowan Khanna

Rowan might not know about this until they realise how differently you have been acting around them.

You were their best friend and you already were pretty close to each other. You would tell them your secrets and they would tell you theirs. You have never betrayed their trust.

Rowan notices you are acting more nervous around them. They thought it might have to do with the Cursed Vaults.

Whenever you began stumbling over your words, Rowan would just try to help you with saying what you wanted to say to them.

A first sign of you having a crush on them was the fact you were beginning to blush around them. Not just when you were stumbling over your words, but also when you were just spending time together.

They also began noticing other little things you did when were around them, like you running a hand through your hair, you fiddling with your fingers, you rubbing the back of your neck or head etc.

One day, Rowan decided to confront you. They began about you acting different around them and eventually would ask you if you really had a crush on them.

You couldn’t really deny it anymore, especially after they mentioned several things you did around them. You just told them the truth.

Before you could walk away, Rowan grabbed your hand and looked into your eyes. “Wait a minute… I have never said I didn’t like you that way, Y/N.”

You two would talk a little more about your crush and even agreed to go on a date with each other.

You would feel nervous, because you knew Rowan had a crush on Bill for a long time. Although, these nerves disappeared after the two of you had a really nice time on your date.

 Penny Haywood

Penny notices you have been avoiding her for quite a while now. You didn’t seem to be able to talk to her properly, constantly stuttering and stumbling over your words before you would basically run away from her.

At first, she thought she might has done something wrong. Maybe she was the one who didn’t spend enough time with you before you were avoiding her? Or was she not being helpful enough with the Cursed Vaults?

She tried to talk more with you and began to notice you kept stuttering and stumbling over your words even more around her. She also noticed your face looked very flushed whenever you were close to her. You also seemed to be very clumsy.

You would quickly leave after an awkward goodbye whenever you two were together. Penny would think this is strange. You never had been acting like this before, so why were you acting like this?

She would look at you from a distance and notices whenever she made eye contact with you, your face became red. You would quickly look away and almost make a clumsy move.

Penny began to understand what was going on. You weren’t really avoiding her; you were just nervous around her. She immediately suspected it was because you had a crush on her. Her face also became a little red when she figured it out.

One day, Penny just walked over to you and lead you somewhere more private without saying a lot to you. You were looking slightly confused, wondering what she was up to.

“So… I noticed you have been very nervous around me… And you have been blushing a lot around me too. I was wondering if you have a crush on me.” She asked you, looking a bit nervous and flustered too.

You admitted to her you have a crush on her. You also told her you didn’t expect her to immediately say something and would be fine if she didn’t like you back.

You were about to leave again, but Penny decided to make a bold move and kiss you. “Don’t be silly, Y/N. I think it would be nice if we go on a date together.” She gave you a sweet smile and simply held your hand when you two walked somewhere else together.

 Tulip Karasu

Tulip wasn’t stupid. She had noticed you had a crush on her pretty quickly. Although, she had no idea how to react to it at first. She decided to have a little fun and acted oblivious to your actions. She did this to make you surprised.

She knew you would think she would notice things pretty quickly. She always did figure out when something was slightly off about someone. Heck, she often managed to trick people because she knew exactly what they were planning.

She thought you looked adorable whenever you were struggling with telling her something nowadays. Hearing you stutter and stumble over your words was simply one of the things she liked. Not because it made you look like a fool, but because she thought you were trying so hard to tell her something. Oh, and she definitely loved how flustered you were looking, it made you look pretty cute.

Things were starting to change when people began making fun of you whenever you tried to speak to Tulip. They would make fun of you whenever you dropped something when you were working with Tulip or when you began stuttering. It embarrassed you, she could tell it did even when you tried to downplay it.

She would notice you were trying to keep your distance from her whenever they made fun of you. She didn’t like that at all. She decided to show all these idiots what was going on.

Tulip just kissed you in front of everyone and then gave these people annoyed look before she looked at you again. “I think it would be a good time to talk with each other after class, all right?”

You weren’t really sure what happened in class and felt a little frozen after what happened. You nodded when she asked to speak with you and the rest of the class went by like a blur.

Tulip had brought you somewhere private before she began speaking. “I knew you had a crush on me, Y/N. I’m sorry about not telling you sooner, but I thought it was funny to act oblivious about it. Also, seeing you try so hard made you look pretty adorable.” She would admit to you, blushing a bit as well. “Do you forgive me?”

You were a little shocked Tulip did that, but you decided to forgive her anyways. However, you decided to play around a little as well. You put up a thinking face and said something along the lines of ‘I don’t know, maybe I can forgive you if we go on a date.’

Tulip would laugh and then she nodded with a bright smile. “I would love to go on a date with you. I’m not joking around this time.”

 Merula Snyde

Ugh, she definitely didn’t want to deal with you. You were already pretty annoying to her, but when you began acting even stranger than usual around her, she wasn’t really sure what to do with it. She would rather ignore you.

However, it was hard to ignore you whenever you would have to work with each other in class. She would often just roll her eyes at you or make things difficult for you. You just continued to work hard, no matter how hard she made it for you.

She would try to make fun of you, but when you weren’t really defending yourself, she realised something strange must be up. Why would you let her insult you? It didn’t make sense! You were Y/N, the most annoying person she knew. You normally stood up for yourself! Why didn’t you do anything against her.

She began noticing more things that were strange. You kept blushing whenever the two of you made eye contact. You were always stumbling over your words and sometimes stuttered around her. She would sometimes make fun of you because you couldn’t speak properly around anymore. She also noticed you began dropping things around her and were getting clumsy. She just couldn’t put her finger around it.

It wasn’t until she overheard someone talking about people having crushes on others in her Common Room. She heard things people would do around their crushes and those things sounded really similar to the things you did around her.

Did you actually have a crush on her? When did that happen? She hadn’t been anything but mean to you. Maybe she was occasionally nice to you, but only on certain occasions. She was pretty confused by what she just realised.

She was mostly confused about what she was feeling for you. Had she been extra mean to you, because she actually liked you? Or did she really hate you? There wasn’t really something you had done to make her hate you. Sure, you often got into the spotlight and you were Jacob’s sibling, but besides that, did she have a valid reason to hate you?

Merula would confront you about it and was pretty blunt about it too. “So, you have a crush on me, what is next?”

You would be confused and then you would ask her what she meant by ‘what is next’.

“Ugh, what is the next step, Y/L/N. What do you do with a crush next?”

You would be even more confused, asking her if she really wanted her to something next.

“Why would I suggest something like it when I don’t want to? You are really slow, Y/N.”

So, you ended up going on a date with Merula, which you really enjoyed. Merula probably say something like she didn’t really hate it and would ‘perhaps’ like to go with you on a date again. Yeah, things between you were complicated, but they were improving slowly.

Imagine if MC had chocolate on their face while baking with the HPHM Crew

Penny: grabs MC’s face and, while giggling, rubs at the chocolate until it forms a heart. Says “that’s better” and gives MC a cute wink.

Tulip: tells MC there’s chocolate on their face, then watches as MC touches the wrong spot, spreading more chocolate on their cheeks. Cheerfully says yup when MC asks if they got it all off.

Andre: nonchalantly takes his scarf and wipes the chocolate off, shocking MC but before they can apologize for ruining his beloved scarf, says he’d rather have it dirty than a bit of MC’s face being covered and not being able to see all of it

Jae: doesn’t know how to tell MC about the chocolate so he just quickly takes off his hoodie and throws it at them, hoping the impact would wipe it off, while muttering something about how MC looked cold

Liz: excitedly tells MC to wait right there before coming back with a cute creature and holding it up to lick off the chocolate from MC’s face.

Ben: keeps staring at it but is too nervous to tell MC, stares at it a bit more, starts to think it might be something else and not a stain, starts being scared a deathly magical rash suddenly spread on MC’s face, runs out of the kitchen shouting about the Dark Mark forming on MC’s left cheek

Barnaby: casually puts his face closer and with no hesitation, licks the chocolate off. Happily says it tastes good while MC faints into his flour covered arms. Promptly drops said fainted MC because of panick and surprise.

Rowan: the moment they see the chocolate on MC’s face, they start panicking about how that little amount just changed the whole recipe because it wasn’t the exact measurement anymore and now they had to toss the whole batch and start from scratch but they might not have enough ingredients so they probably had to go grocery again (in other words steal from the kitchens again) and ... MC ends up buying store bought chocolate and vows to never make homemade ones again with a certain bespectacled friend

Diego: gently rubs at the chocolate with his thumb and, while looking straight into MC’s eyes, sensually licks it off of his finger...he wakes up later with a dented empty bowl of flour next to him , and no sign of MC

Bill: chuckles at MC and when MC asks what was up, laughs a bit more. Only when MC demands to know what’s so funny that he sighs and with a grin, gently brings MC’s face against his own and, touching their cheeks together, pulls away with chocolate on his face as well. “now we’re even” he says as he smiles at MC’s very red face.

Tonks: immediately mentions to MC that they had chocolate on their face. Offers to wipe it off for them...proceeds to turn the stain into a chocolate mustache and with an innocent smile, announces ‘Done!’

Talbott: doesn’t know how to tell MC. Starts to get a little nervous about it. Tries to discreetly wipe it off by moving around the kitchen with his robes flying around and touching MC hitting over. Ends up elbowing MC in the face, effectively giving MC a stain-free cheek and a broken nose

Badeea: gasps and quickly tells MC they had chocolate on their face. Before MC can wipe it off, proceeds to finger paint with it upon MC’s cheek and MC leaves the kitchen that day with no homemade chocolate but a very intricate mask design made of entirely chocolate on their face

Charlie: at first is at lost on what to do. He tries to tell MC but gets shy halfway. Eventually just pulls MC closer, envelopes them in a hug , effectively burying their face into his chest and hopefully that rubs the chocolate off before MC fainted from the close contact.

Picture this:

-Tulip encourages Rowan to attend frog choir auditions as long as they partner with Dennis.

-Rowan gets the position so they start hanging out with Dennis (and subsequently Tulip) when they're practicing.

-The two of them get closer and start dating.

-Study dates, Rowan helps Tulip knuckle down in her studies. On the other hand, Tulip shows Rowan how fun pranking can be and gets them to unwind.

-Tulip basically wrote an essay to whoever Rowan's head of house is explaining why they would be the perfect candidate for prefect then later head girl/boy.

-Rowan becomes a master at balancing their prefect duties and pranks, gives Tulip passes or at the most a light slap on the wrist (i.e. 1 point from Ravenclaw).
