KUUMAAn Tuhoaisti on mun tämänhetkinen "kuvittele blorbosi musiikkivideoon" -biisi, mutta mua häiritsee sanoituksessa yks kohta ihan tajuttomasti. Kappaleessa lauletaan "estää syttynyttä sammumaan", ja se kuulostaa mun korvaan niin väärältä. "Estää syttynyttä sammumasta" olis kai kieliopillisesti oikein, mut lyyrisesti se ei taida istua niin hyvin D:

i've noticed that whenever kuumaa performs tuhoaisti, johannes's stage presence gets so intense, focused, and serious, since the song in itself has very intense lyrics and he puts everything in really giving a performance whenever they play that song.

i took notice in this after watching this video my friend filmed from headland a few weeks ago, i also notice how in that specific video he keeps "breaking character" to have small interactions with the fans at barricade 🥹 he's so silly i love him

i got to sing kuumaa songs at work today! they never leave my life

it's been like 9 months and a day since i got into kuumaa so uhh i just wanted to type this out here (how i got into the band)

i'd already heard of them last year. i watched the umk23 stuff after listening to käärijä, and i found out about him through my f1-filled twitter tl who were mostly european and complained abt the esc23 results. later when i got into jo that got set aside.

but speaking of jo. i became moots with tris (@//annamariemir4ge) on twt, and we're both filo jo fans so that's nice. later in the year i saw her tweet more and more about kuumaa. i think some time in october i decided to listen to ylivoimainen (which i really liked), then i went to their yt channel and also watched the tässä on kaikki mv (wasn't too fond of it). and i learned that one of the members was named aarni and he did the band's visual stuff. obvs interested me too as a creative fella myself. and i found out they're called hotband since their name means hot in finnish. and so i kinda got updated with hotband thru tris

then umk24 opening number. i check it out. and i really like it!! so i end up watching a bunch of ylivoimainen vids again. and somehow i'd already found out that another member was named johannes. knowing of him and aarni, i decided to look up the name of the other member (jonttu). at this point i feel like i'll really get into kuumaa.

then march. i saw previews of tuhoaisti and how it's described as a darker kuumaa sound, which interested me.

and finally. the day after tuhoaisti came out. march 23rd earlier this year. i tweeted, asking for kuumaa recs. ofc tris provided some (ylivoimainen, well the entirety of hjp album, gold digger, their 3 latest singles) and another twt mutual recommended tarkotin sua. so i go and listen to their entire discography. and i watch and read more about the band. and now i'm here

idk why i just wanted to share how i got into hotband hehe
