Very excited to go on this trip with you and the Aussies. I We'llraveling to Tugela Falls (the highest waterfall in South Africa). Next, we'll be camping at a game reserve called Bonamanzi for four days and in those 4 days we'll be traveling into Hluhluwe for a bit of game drives. Then onto a place in the Transkei called Umgazana. Not to long ago there was a short expedition (overnight hike) to the top of the Thukela Falls, previously Tugela Falls. The aim was to getaway, soak up the tranquility, get in touch and ground ourselves just for a moment. My task was to go out and capture some images that would help feed back into the WildTrust Wildseries event Mount Aux Sources Challenge. In addition it was the start of another project to follow the journey of the water from Source to Sea, which is to be continued. The amazing scenery, standing above the clouds, capturing the sunset and the Rainbow Glory and in our case "The Hikers Glory", to the epic sunrise and witnessing the waters plunge into the valley below from the World's second tallest waterfall, the Thukela Falls. As we bathed in the natural richness we were brutally torn out of the beauty in sheer disbelief of how many have failed to capture the beauty of the area and leave their waste behind. Reality set in that more needs to be done to teach the world that litter is not cool. It is now as I sit in lockdown and the stories being shared globally of the return of nature to the cities and towns, to our beaches and the connection between Covid 19 and Climate change is now being seen in it's full reality.
