Meet the American Kestrel (Falco sparverius). Tuckahoe State Park brought their Raptors to our Easton, MD, @wildbirdsunlimited for a talk and we got to know a little about this little guy, an American Kestral. . We know it’s a boy because of his colors, he got too friendly with his rehabilitator when being nursed back from an injury and prefers the company of humans these days, making him a poor candidate for releasing back to the wild. They hunt our bird feeders regularly for sparrows and finches. . Raptors are birds of prey that hunt with their feet.
