basic info

• named cru

• thirty three years of age when the series starts as it's revealed later

• does not have powers. he is an ordinary human

• has incredibly bad luck and the scars from accidents to prove it

• absolute best friends with klaus. met two years before the start of season one through cru's cousin, who had gone to rehab with klaus for a bit

• he follows the hargreeves siblings through time. blames it on always being in the wrong place at the wrong time, but later he's very glad to have met and gotten to know them all, even if it's through the most unfortunate of situations

• cru is a post opp trans man. can be seen taking testosterone a few times throughout season one with the help of klaus, but sadly is unable to keep doing it in season two, as it is the sixties. so when the siblings finally see them again in dallas, his voice is higher and he stands stiffer and more uncomfortably than usual

• has tattoos! his main ones are over the top of his top surgery scars, and they're the hands from michelangelo's "the creation of adam," reaching out for each other over his chest

• cru is the type of person to wear boxers with red hearts on a white background on them

• his normal outfit in the modern days of season one and three consists of band shirts and jeans. but season two shows him assimilating to the time periods style and wearing a jean jacket with various tie-dye shirts. also, he got a pierced left ear as a way to signal to other gay men that he's one of them; a popular indicator of the time period

• a list of things cru cant do thanks to his awful luck goes as follows: cook (he's burnt down two kitchens to ash before), drive (the amount of cars that have been hit or broken down while he's been in them is immeasurable), operate machinery/technology (it always goes on the fritz), or walk up and down a pair of stairs normally (he always stubs his toe, or steps on a splinter, or just plain falls flat on his face when trying to scale them. he has a small but deep scar across his left eyebrow to prove that last one)

• a list of things cru can do, and is rather good at also goes as follows: pack a solid punch (it's just a question of whether he's lucky enough to aim correctly or not), remember details (he can retain knowledge beautifully the only problem is that most of it is useless. occasionally he managed to pull through), and bandage wounds (he's had lots of practice on himself; ranging from disinfecting small wounds, to self-stitched wounds, to cauterizing stab wounds. that last one's a pretty rare occasion, though)

• cru doesn't have any immediate family besides his cousin that's always traveling. his parents died in a car accident when he was young (he's always blamed himself & his bad luck for that), and his aunt & uncle basically disowned him a few long years ago, so he has no real familial ties

• he is so paranoid about messing up the timeline in season two. tried taking extra special care to avoid interacting with major historical figures or events while in dallas, but still ends up getting involved with a place called stonewall inn and accidently almost spurring along the stonewall riots six years before they're supposed to happen, much to him and five's chagrin when the latter finds the former

• cru tends to avoid his problems. it's a big problem of his. he doesn't necessarily run away from them, just avoids them with a passion like no other. the finest example being his feelings. particularly when it comes to five in season two

• he wants to help the academy save the world mostly so he can do something with his life that's good for once. and, as he discovers about himself later on, so he can spend more time with five without being awkward about it. even if nine times out of ten its under less than fortunate circumstances

• he fucks with delores so hard. literally loves her so much. is the only person to even try & treat her like anything other than a mannequin besides five. delores even reciprocates these friendly feelings, from what cru can gather while listening to five go back & forth with her, which makes five a little tense (he doesn't like the thought of a random stranger bonding with his wife after being alone for so long. plus, he doesn't exactly trust cru when they first meet, so that puts him on edge)

• doesn't really like the commission. maybe it's because hazel & chacha shot him twice on the same day, or because the handler only refers to him as "five's distraction," but he's not the fondest of the cooperation

• is always prepared for injuries. band-aids are always on his person, and peroxide is cru's best friend at this point

• he has a lot of noticeable scars. that includes the formerly mentioned one across his left eyebrow, a little slash over his lips, burn marks at the top of his ears, and much much more. and these are just ones that are there before the show begins. he gains a lot more throughout the course of the show

• cru has his own plot going on in each of the seasons; his character & his development doesn't solely revolve around the hargreeves. he's his own person

• in the first season, he goes on a mission to find out when he was born. knows he wasn't born on the same day as the umbrella academy as klaus suggests for some time (for one they don't have powers, their mom had physical evidence of a regular pregnancy, and reginald hargreeves didn't attempt to buy them at birth, so that's a dead giveaway), but he had a suspicion that there's more to him than his parents let onto before they died.

• in season two, he gets caught up in conflict with police over stonewall & it's residents (hence cru almost being involved with the riots years before they happened), and he's also being stalked by the commission. or more accurately the handler. she absolutely tries to take advantage of them for her own personal gain and to take five out of the picture seeing as he cares about cru like he does his siblings, but they don't have power, and are therefor easier to target. it's a mess

• season three they throw themselves into helping the siblings figure out what the hell is going on and eventually how to fix it. also does a shit ton of independent investigation work on reggie & unearths some things in the last few episodes that ends up getting him killed

random and important moments throughout the series with cru — (not entirely chronological)

• cru accidently snapping the handle to the academy's front door off the first time visiting it with klaus for reginald's funeral [season one]

• the giant blue portal appearing in the umbrella's courtyard and cru immediately thinking it's him and his lucks fault, to which everyone but klaus is bewildered by the implications of [season one]

• cru playing fashion show with delores in the back of five's stakeout van the first time he meets her [season one]

• cru finds out when he was born via a file that had been left open on the handlers desk at the commission. five had managed to snatch the first page up on his way out of there while running from the commission, and once reading through it it's revealed that cru was born on october first, 1985 [season one]

• klaus just hugging cru silently the first time he sees them since getting back from vietnam. after a moment he says, "i told dave he would have been so excited to meet you..." [season one]

• cru going bat shit on hazel & chacha for kidnapping klaus from the academy and legitimately being a little scary [season one]

• when five is trying to blink everyone out of the orchestra hall, cru yells over all of the noise that he regrets not being able to know five better before dying; which is basically his way of saying that he sort of likes five [season one]

• in dallas, cru listens to the radio in his window every night for news on anyone that might sound like the hargreeves. starts to believe that they might have abandoned him for being 'dead weight,' and that really gnaws on him [season two]

• cru getting 'hello' tattooed on his right ankle and 'goodbye' on the left two months after getting dumped in the streets of dallas. he missed his best friend, and couldn't think of anything else to do [season two]

• cru being talked to by a fellow stonewall worker who wants to let them know that they kicked out a 'kid in school shorts who looked like a police plant,' and cru hesitantly reuniting with five after being stuck in dallas for eight months [season two]

• elliot wanting to hang out with cru & get a coffee as a way to bond with the only other 'normal' person, and getting shut down by a standoffish five who proclaims that cru has "better things to do" [season two]

• lila gaining the upper hand in the warehouse fight with five after saying, "i wonder what your little boyfriend would think of you murdering a board room full of people, yeah?" [season two]

• cru meeting reginald officially for the first time in dallas, and not even being offered a chair at the lunch table like the others since he was "insignificant and of no importance," and "hadn't even been invited anyway."[season two]

• luther, five, and cru meeting five's doppelganger in dallas for the briefcase, and a lot happens. (cru breaks a glass at the bar and accidently gets them all kicked out, cru realizing that five is kind of dapper looking as an old man and saying as much, five in a bout of paranoia refers to cru as "his cru," and tells his doppelganger to get his own, cru hesitantly waves at his past self through the portal when it opens and gets waved back at, the fire extinguisher klaus threw through the portal forever ago in the past hits cru in the face, and five experiencing a rare moment of frustrated embarrassment when it comes to an end and realizing how he acted about cru) [season two]

• when jayme spits her venom at him mid battle, cru's brain opts to conjure up a hallucination of something the viewer at home isn't let in on. his trance is only broken when one of ben's tentacles whack him in the stomach. he doesn't talk about what he saw in his minds eye to anyone later [season three]

• five drunkenly singing a love song at the wedding & looking at a tipsy cru the whole time he does it [season three]

• both five and cru going on drunken shenanigans on the wedding night that none of them remember very well ad=bd waking up in a random hotel hallway together with cru drooling as five lays splayed over the taller mans lap [season three]

• five & cru having a giant fight the morning after the wedding. the last thing five says to cru before he dies later is "well maybe you should have stayed in dallas, then." [season three]

• cru also getting chased around the sparrow mansion as they try to make it very clear that they don't have powers, don't pose a threat, and just want to leave alongside the umbrella's. it doesn't work [season three]

• cru going on the road-trip with klaus and five; two out of his three favorite people! (the other is his cousin) [season three]

• cru dying in klaus' arms at the hotel oblivion and klaus bringing five to his body afterwards. he was killed via a alien tentacle slash to the face, so he's practically unrecognizable by the time both of them reach him [season three]

• five being unconsolably angry that he doesn't have time to give cru a proper funeral; with the impending doom of the end of the world and all [season three]

• luther & klaus throwing each other through the afterlife while fighting and landing in the dull-colored streets of dallas at the end where cru is found sitting silently on a curb and looking at a picture of five and them from the wedding that the bellhop had taken [season three]

• ghost cru materializing to help five tie his arm torniquet during the hotel obsidian battle, and five demanding klaus to bring them back when they fade away with luther afterward [season three]

Look, I don't wanna sound like a gatekeeper or anything, but if you're a queer kid, please educate yourself on our history. It's the bare minimum to look up the AIDS crisis and the stonewall riots. Idc if you read books or watch videos, it's just important to know where we come from to keep looking forward.

Saat ada konflik seperti ngomong sama tembok (stonewalling) adalah penyebab utama pertama pernikahan yang gagal. Perilaku stonewalling lebih banyak dilakukan oleh suami ketimbang istri saat ada konflik.

Perilaku Teuku Ryan yang mendiamkan Ria Ricis seminggu karena tidak punya uang dan baru baikan setelah Ria Ricis berinisiatif mentransfer Rp500 juta.

Perilaku stonewalling muncul karena suami ingin berada dalam posisi berkuasa. Sikap diam dan abai ini biasanya berasal dari pola pengasuhan orang tua.

So basically canon season 2, moved up a few years to culminate in the stonewall riots, rather than jfk's assassination.

Maybe exclude all that dad bs bc it's awful and messes up the future.

The concept started with "hey, Klaus was already in 68/69" so he lands back in Vietnam with time to save Dave.

I'll put the rest under the cut bc it's kinda long/rambley/stream of consciousness, written at like 1 am, and definitely incomplete. I have only watched the show once and not touched the comics, but there's also some fandom influence bc I've been reading fics (specifically Klaus, Ben, and 5 centric mostly).

Or not, bc idk how to do a read more on mobile, oops.

Anyway.

This would be near the end, maybe a week at most, and Klaus either convinces him to desert or somehow keeps him alive until their next leave and THEN desert, or until their tour is up,, which was my first instinct, but I may be allowing fanfic to cloud Dave's depiction as refusing to desert, i need to double check that, or end up getting wounded but not dead and an honorable discharge.

He has a suitcase and COULD go to 2019, back at the middle of season 1. He DOESN'T  because a) ben is here this time, and he might not come with the case and b) five will find them eventually and then they can ALL use the case and c) I want Allison and Vanya to have their SOs.

At this point, I started mapping out how the others settled in New York in the late 60s (exact years tbd based on the gaps in season 2 canon), so...

Luther landed in the middle of the queerest block in Manhattan 1st, and was swept up and accepted as their own before he even knew he was. They call him a bear, and say it's desirable, and he's ready to hear them out. He goes to clubs, does party drugs bc fuck everything, he's pissed and exhausted and maybe kinda queer, but he never used a needle or smoked anything but weed, he'd watched what it did to Klaus. The first time someone danced up against him, so slender and small in comparison, Luther felt good, it felt RIGHT, to put his arms around him and dance a little closer and no, actually, this doesn't work. He wouldn't do drugs again, and I just can't imagine him not cishet, but I guess maybe, if he had a lot of time to reflect and figure out who he is without Reginald looming, which I suppose he would have if he was the first to return, so never mind green light, Luther is a bear and he likes twinks. Or, really, just about anybody he can envelope in his arms and hold close and safe and protect them. (Not 100% sold on this, open to suggestions)

Allison and Diego are in the middle here. Idk exactly, I need to check the dates. Also no idea what Diego is up to without the president to save. I kinda wanted to give him a queer awakening, but like, Luther said gimme soooo…… I kinda had the thought of Diego as a drag queen, but I'm not sure. And idk if Allison is bi or what. I kinda want trans!Allison, but mtf, so she'd already come out and transitioned, but I also feel that Reginald wouldn't allow this, not from any of the trans* kids. Not bc he's just a queerphobe, but because it's "a waste of time and resources". Maybe Allison was the only one to convince him that she would be more effective if she had these changes made. Yes. Yes, okay.

Allison is trans and black in the late 1960s, but it's new York, so there's a scene, and she's thriving, and meets the man of her dreams. They get involved in the local politics and the gay rights movements. Allison needs to not accidentally be given credit that belongs to Marsha and the other leaders of the community.

But that still leaves Diego, and I just don't know what to do with him. What would Lila be doing? I haven't even thought about the commision/handler, but that would be mostly the same. Idk Diego's motive yeeeeet. (With nothing to "stop", he probably just goes vigilante again? Ends up inthe neighborhood, sees a drag show? Idk, idk what Diego's up to, alright?)

Klaus probably shows up right before Vanya, a few weeks maybe, in Vietnam. He gets Dave back to the states somehow, explaining what's going on anxiously in a hotel room.  Ben was there with him, and they couldn't use the briefcase bc he might not come along. Dave accepts it fairly well and they maybe decide to see his folks before leaving town. Klaus had asked, "wanna go make history?" and, at Dave's nod, declared they were heading for Manhattan. They drove cross-country, enjoying the open road, and rolled into the city a week before the riots.

Vanya was next, with amnesia. Sissy and her husband are each other's beard, and brought her home to recover, she introduces her to the club life. He gets upset that she's brought the chance of suspicion by fucking in their house, by talking about leaving him. How would that make him look? At best like a pathetic loser who can't please his wife, and at worst like the fucking fag that he was!

Five would still arrive last, seeing the aftermath of whatever goes wrong, but idk what it is yet, then jumps back like a week or whatever.

This is about all I have. Like I said, this is a concept that isn't fully fleshed out, and needs some serious research if it were to be done properly, and I do not have the time/energy for that, honestly.

But in the end, they stop the apocalypse, go back to 2019, and get to just live their lives and heal and all that good stuff they need so bad.

I quattro cavalieri dell’apocalisse di Gottman

I Quattro Cavalieri si manifestano attraverso lo stile di comunicazione con il partner.

Ecco i 4 segnali che spesso anticipano un divorzio o una separazione:

Critica

La critica si verifica quando, invece di reagire in modo costruttivo ad un’azione o un comportamento indesiderato, tu o il tuo partner attaccate il carattere, le convinzioni, la personalità, l’aspetto o le azioni dell’altro. La critica usa affermazioni assolute o superlative, il che è diverso dal dire come ti senti o cosa pensi.

Esempi di Critica per Gottman:

“Fai sempre così, io ti chiedo di lavare i piatti e tu non lo fai mai!”

“Sei troppo permissiva coi bambini, te lo dico sempre che così cresceranno viziati!”

Disprezzo

Il disprezzo è una più grave escalation della critica. Se tu e il tuo partner comunicate con disprezzo, può derivare dalla convinzione che l’uno si senta superiore all’altro. Per “disprezzo”, Gottman intende proprio la svalutazione del partner.

Il disprezzo si manifesta in vari atteggiamenti comunicativi, come ad esempio:

derisione

ecc ecc…

Esempi di disprezzo per Gottman:

“Sei inutile: non riesci ad essere una buona madre!”

“Se non ci fossi io, tu saresti perso!”

…ma anche comportamenti meno aggressivi, che nascondono comunque l’idea di essere superiori all’altro. “Non ti preoccupare, faccio io… tanto comunque non ci riesci!” – o il sempreverde rivolgere gli occhi al cielo.

Secondo la ricerca di Gottman del 1994, il disprezzo è il predittore n. 1 del divorzio entro i primi 6 anni di matrimonio.

Se il disprezzo si radica a lungo, può danneggiare la relazione e la tua autostima o quella del tuo partner.

Atteggiamento di Difesa

La difesa nasce spesso come risposta disfunzionale ad una critica, il primo cavaliere dell’apocalisse di cui abbiamo parlato in quest’articolo. Si verifica quando tu o il tuo partner negate le vostre responsabilità durante le vostre interazioni, spesso “rimbalzandola” sull’altro.

Un esempio di Atteggiamento di Difesa per Gottman:

“Hai fatto i piatti?”

Risposta difensiva: “Sai che ho lavorato un sacco oggi. Piuttosto, perché non me l’hai ricordato tu di farli?“

Stonewalling

Lo stonewalling è l’ultimo cavaliere, che si verifica quando un partner si ritira dalla conversazione – un po’ come se tirasse su un muro di gomma.

Esempi di Stonewalling per Gottman:

Fingere di essere occupato per non rispondere Mancanza di contatto visivo Mancanza di risposta Impegno in altre attività non collegate alla conversazione

Lo stonewalling a volte può essere l’ultimo stadio di una relazione, perché un partner diventa così chiuso che non può (o non vuole) giungere ad un compromesso, fare dei tentativi di riparazione o cercare di comunicare in modo più efficace.

Questo livello di disconnessione può significare che un partner non è disposto o non è in grado di continuare ad impegnarsi in quella che, forse, è diventata una relazione estenuante.

Estas últimas semanas têm sido dolorosas para todos nós, principalmente para a comunidade negra. Celebrar qualquer coisa neste momento, quanto mais o Orgulho, pode despertar sentimentos de culpa ou desconforto, mas é mais importante do que nunca pôr as cartas na mesa. O Orgulho é mais do que um desfile ou uma celebração. O espírito do Orgulho deriva do protesto pela igualdade de direitos.

O Orgulho iniciou como uma revolução desencadeada pelos participantes da Rebelião de Stonewall, que lutavam contra a brutalidade policial. As mulheres transexuais negras e mestiças estiveram sempre na linha da frente da batalha pelos direitos LGBTQIA+, com Marsha P. Johnson, Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, Storme DeLarverie e Sylvia Rivera emergindo como importantes ativistas. Tendo isto em conta, é fundamental utilizar o mês do Orgulho LGBTQIA+ como uma oportunidade para ampliar as vozes negras e combater o racismo nesta comunidade. 

Nem toda a gente pode ir para a rua para protestar ou tem dinheiro para doar, mas existem outras formas de a comunidade do Tumblr se unir e fazer a diferença. Por isso, criámos a #ActsofPride, uma lista de ações que vamos realizar neste mês do Orgulho LGBTQIA+.

Practically, kami cuma punya Sabtu malem bersama, tapi sayangnya akibat mood swing gue lagi kambuh (blame the hormonal imbalance due to PMS! :p) jadinya malah Sabtu malem kita ribut dikit over the small thing. Quality time pun jadi rada rusak. 

Alhamdulillahnya, gue dan bang A udah kaya kakak dan adek juga, jadi kalo ribut bisa cepet banget baikannya, pas udah ngantuk udah kaya males berdebat lalu berakhir dengan maaf-maafan dan tidur dengan damai. Tapi saat gue bangun, gue agak kepikiran: “Kenapa ya gue harus meributkan hal kecil?” Meskipun sejauh ini ga pernah ada pertengkaran kami yang sifatnya destruktif, gue ngerasa bisa jadi ini jadi bola salju yang akan makin gede dan bisa juga jadi bom waktu terus meledak kapan aja. So, i think i need to figure it out. Karena gue pribadi ngerasa, keributan suami istri itu ngga ada menang atau kalah tapi untuk sama-sama mencapai mufakat.

Senin pagi, bang A baru selesai jaga jam 06.00 dan harus meluncur ke RS berikutnya jam 07.30 untuk bius, selesai bius jam 10.00 bang A nelfon: “Aku udah di parkiran, kita ngobrol-ngobrol dulu yuk sebelum aku berangkat kerja lagi. Tapi aku udah mandi 2 kali nih di RS, rada males mandi lagi untuk masuk rumah. Any idea?” Kata bang Nanto, maklum aja di era covid ini peraturan tidak tertulis gue adalah sebelum masuk rumah, harus sudah mandi bersih dulu. Pas bang A nelfon gue sebenernya lagi sibuk baca artikel tentang cara sehat dalam bertengkar dan lain-lain tapi gue semangat juga untuk ketemu singkat terus gue ber-ide: “Oke lah kalo gitu, aku ganti baju dulu terus turun ke bawah ya, kita ngobrol di taman aja.” Jadilah kami ngobrol di taman, we only got one hour karena bang A ada operasi lagi jam 11 di RS lainnya, so it was such a quick yet qualified catch-up! 

Obrolan dimulai dari gimana jaga ICCU gue, gue cerita tentang pasien NSTEMI (serangan jantung) yang ternyata covid (yes, the thromboembolism event in covid is real, people!) dan lain-lain, bang A juga cerita tentang jaga ICU covidnya, tentang pasien happy hypoxia-nya yang akhirnya harus pake ventilator, jadi beliau melakukan prosedur intubasi dengan hazmat, pesan sponsor: GUYS, COVID BELUM SELESAI YA JANGAN KELUYURAN KALO GA PENTING. 

Bosan dengan obrolan ala rumah sakit, gue kemudian sharing tentang bacaan gue pagi ini mengenai four horsemen of the apocalypse dalam sebuah hubungan, intinya adalah ada empat tipe meluapkan emosi yang sangat bisa membuat hubungan lo akan berakhir dengan seseorang menurut Gottman institute, yaitu: Criticisms, contempt, defensiveness, and stonewalling. Criticism adalah sifat suka over-critic terhadap apapun, misalnya dandanan, masakan, cara berpikir, dan lain-lain. Contempt adalah sifat merendahkan, misalnya kalau emosi suka eye-rolling, mockery dan pernyataan yang sifatnya “ngejek”. Defensiveness adalah tidak mau mengakui kesalahan dan menyalahkan orang/hal lain, serta stonewalling adalah sifat acuh, masa bodo dan tidak mau membahas tentang pertengkaran dan memilih untuk melakukan hal lain yang terlihat abai. 

Se-pemahaman gue, kita ga selalu menunjukkan range emosi yang sama ketika marah sama orang, misalnya, gue bisa jadi sangat criticism apabila berhadapan dengan A tapi jadi stonewalling kalo sama B, etc. Jadi, penting banget buat gue untuk membahas sama bang A, bagaimana sikap gue ketika marah begitu pula beliau. Gue jadi sadar bahwa gue sebenernya punya sifat a bit contemptuous kalo ke bang A, mungkin karena gue tau bang A sabar, pengalah, dan gue sering menjadi orang yang inferior buat orang lain, sikap gue ke bang A jadi a bit superior dan jadi contemptuous. Sementara bang A sendiri, memiliki kecenderungan untuk stonewalling karena emang orang-nya males ribut sama gue jadinya memilih untuk menenggelamkan diri dengan aktivitas lain dan acuh kalo gue lagi beraargumen, ga bagus juga kalo sebenernya lagi butuh membicarakan suatu hal tapi malah seperti diabaikan, it doesn’t solve any problem, kan? Akhirnya kami membahas tentang kemungkinan-kemungkinan sikap kami dan apa aja “antidotes” dari sikap-sikap tersebut, tujuannya sih simple aja, biar di “pertarungan” berikutnya, kita bisa lebih baik dan tidak destruktif, karena kan ga mungkin ya rumah tangga tanpa konflik, yang mungkin cuma: berkonflik tapi selesai dengan baik, syukur-syukur setelah berkonflik malah bisa saling bertumbuh. 

Akhirnya, satu jam berlalu dan bang A harus kembali bekerja. Gue happy banget, karena sebagai orang dengan love language utama-nya adalah quality time disamperin gitu untuk ngobrol yang berkualitas itu bikin gue ngerasa batere gue diisi pake charger yang fast charging, full aja gitu tiba-tiba, selain hangat, hati gue juga jadinya kaya penuh. Terkadang gue mikir, mungkin emang Allah menakdirkan gue dan bang A untuk belum punya momongan dulu karena kami berdua butuh banyak waktu untuk bisa  saling lebih memahami dan bertumbuh sebelum kami menjadi orang tua ya, Alhamdulillah punya pasangan yang bisa diajak diskusi dan mau diajak bertumbuh jadinya eke ga puyeng sendirian euy. Yah moga-moga bapak dan ibunya calon anak gue nanti tetap eling ya, kalo ada masalah tetap bisa berkepala dingin, menyelesaikan dengan bijak dan bertumbuh. Aamiin! Minta doanya geng!

A ação policial gerou uma revolta. E a partir dessa revolta vários outros protestos em defesa da comunidade LGBTI surgiram, dando inicio ao que é o movimento LGBTI contemporâneo. *Marsha P. Johnson* e *Sylvia Rivera* lideraram parte desses movimentos dos quais surgiu a primeira parada do orgulho, chamada de Dia da Libertação Gay da Rua Christopher (na época toda a comunidade LGBT era referida apenas como "gay"). Discurso 1ª Marcha do Orgulho LGBTI+ do Funchal

Em primeiro lugar, como Mad le’s Femme, jovens ativistas e cidadãos portugueses, queremos expressar a nossa satisfação relativamente à presença de cada pessoa aqui presente. Queremos também expressar a nossa gratidão à associação rede ex aequo pelo convite em colaborarmos neste evento.

           Estamos aqui reunidos/as, muitos anos após a Rebelião de Stonewall de 1969, nos Estados Unidos (precisamente há 48 anos), ainda a lutar pelos direitos das pessoas LGBTIQ+. Não esqueçamos as personalidades queer, muitas delas que pertenciam a um grupo social minoritário (mulheres trans, negras, latinas, juventude sem abrigo, trabalhadores/as do sexo e tavestis) que fizeram sair às ruas, pela primeira vez o orgulho LGBT!

Hoje, pela primeira vez, somos nós, que na Ilha da Madeira, ao pisar a calçada portuguesa das ruas do Funchal, marcamos um dia importante, a 1ª Marcha do Orgulho LGBTI+ do Funchal!

           Sejas uma pessoa do sexo feminino, masculino, intersexo, cisgénero, trans, lésbica, gay, bissexual, heterossexual, pansexual, de género fluído, de género neutro, arromântica, assexual, com uma relação de intimidade poliamorosa ou não monogâmica, alta, baixa, gorda, magra, jovem adolescente, adulto, idosa, de etnia branca, negra, hispânica, de baixo, médio ou alto estatuto socioeconómico, a seguir uma determinada ideologia política, crença e/ou religião, e seja qual for a tua situação laboral, situação familiar, situação de saúde – independentemente da tua caraterização e identidade TU ÉS TU! Tu deves respeito e tens direito ao respeito.

           Hoje reconhecemos os grandes feitos alcançados no nosso país quanto aos direitos LGBTI+ e quanto à visibilidade da população ou da comunidade LGBTI+. Hoje, pessoas LGBTIQ+ deixaram de ser vistas como portadores de doença mental devido à sua identidade de género, orientação sexual ou expressão de género; hoje casais do mesmo sexo podem coabitar e casar, hoje casais do mesmo sexo podem adoptar, hoje mulheres lésbicas podem decorrer à reprodução medicamente assistida, hoje podemos apresentar queixa contra ofensas, injúrias, ofensa à integridade física, entre outros crimes de ódio. Celebremos tudo o que foi alcançado!

           Mas não nos esqueçamos de reinvindicar o que ainda o sistema patriarcal, heteronormativo, binário, por vezes sexista, racista e homofóbico, bifóbico e transfóbico reprime. A nossa lei deve ser coerente e interligada com as políticas socais, a investigação científica deve reconhecer o terreno, as nossas crianças e jovens têm direito a uma educação que respeite a diferença, os agentes educativos devem ser consciencializados a serem mais inclusivos, os profissionais que têm contato com as pessoas LGBTI+ devem receber formação especializada, as autarquias e entidades da comunidade devem desenhar programas de prevenção e de intervenção sobre estas questões que correspondam às necessidades específicas da população-alvo e toda a comunidade deve participação ativa quando abordado este tema.

           Hoje, é apenas o início de grandes passos para o caminho de - VIVER NA DIVERSIDADE!
