College has made me:

Happy. Embrace who I've always wanted to be. Love myself. Outgoing. Feel better. Feel loved. Love more. Appreciate what I have. Appreciate and adore my friends more than ever before. Confident. Spiritual. Feel beautiful.

College hasn't changed me, it made me finally come into myself.

College made me finally love me.

And I couldn't be happier

So I realized today how incredibly homesick I am. 

I was in an interview for a sorority thinggy and they asked me who my role model was and all I could think of was "my mom". So I told them that, and I was tearing up. And then they asked me why, and I could barely keep from crying. And just now my mom called me and asked me if everything was okay (that woman has a sixth sense I swear to god) and I just sat on the phone and cried for a while with her because I'm a nub and I'm allowed to do that, right?

And that made me realize not only do I miss my mom and family, but I miss my friends SO much. I've been kind of MIA because I've been so busy with everything, but my heart hurts because I miss them. I sincerely have the greatest friends in the world, specifically the dickbutts. I haven't known them all too long, but they're joy closest friends and I love them so much. And I can't wait until I get to see them again (I'll get a countdown on that soon). Even though I've made some incredible friends here at school, nobody in the world will ever replace my dickbutts.

I seriously had the best time rushing today at Texas Tech! Coming from an attitude of “I won’t fit in with those girls” just last year all the way too “I’ve never felt more at home with strangers”. Like I can’t wait to go back and revisit all my houses and find a place for me!

Every now and again I'll look at my new friends here at tech and think 'oh man, who is this? How did I meet them?' And for a second I'm really confused, and then I realize that they're some of the greatest people I've ever met, and I'm so damn lucky

College Fever

Okay, so I know how basic this is but I have 5 weeks left of my summer before I’m going to be like a full blown college student. While I’m as scared as any other kid about leaving home and all the change I just can’t shake this untamed excitement. Like I have 5 more weeks. This shit isn't gunna fly by quick. Yet all I can think about is dorm room designs and my first year classes with this constant urge to jump in my car and drive 5 hours to my new home. My New Home. Like all of a sudden this is all real. All of a sudden after being stagnant for 9 years i can finally progress, and  I CANT WAIT .

Tonight is the last night before I leave for college that I sleep in my bed and my dog is curled up at my feet and I'm about to cry
