↪ tsukishima would be the type of person to actually think about the future a lot, just never say anything about it out loud

↪ being in a relationship, especially a long lasting one, would make him think about where they would head together, what they would achieve and the life they would have

↪ i feel like he’s the type of person to lie down in bed and picture it before falling asleep. like how some people imagine scenarios to relax, he imagines life with his s/o and just falls asleep with a smile

↪ they’d be lying down cuddling and in the middle of the silence and soft touches his s/o would murmur ‘do you ever think about the future?’

↪ you may think he’d hesitate, but he doesn’t. he stops rubbing up and down their arm and that makes his partner look at him

↪ ‘all the time’

↪ they decide to tease him just a little ‘am i in it?’

↪ but tsukishima is serious about them, and he decides he wants to tease back - by being brutally honest. ‘i wouldn’t want it any other way’

↪ and then i honestly think he just starts rambling. closes his eyes and just talks out loud about all the different scenarios he pictures.

↪ a wedding, his s/o always there for his games, getting a cat together, the time they decide to have kids/adopt, moving into a big house where they can have a big family

↪ his partner is probably crying by the end of it and he teases them about it, but in the end he understands - he feels pretty emotional, too

↪ wants to hear what his s/o thinks of the future as well and playfully nitpicks all the decisions, but in the end all that matters for the plan is the only thing that’s consistent: the two of them being together

your patience!! and your sense of humour!! he appreciates the fact that you can take a joke and read his intentions. he finds it hard to express himself so his words come out harsh majority of the time but he likes the fact that you know he would never say anything to hurt you on purpose, which is what a lot of people fail to see about him. baby deserves all the love and patience you give to him >:(

Inspiration - Did their s/o change them somehow, or the other way around? Like trying out new things or helped them overcome personal problems?

of course omg even if you were witty to begin with, I feel like your sense of humour would begin to compliment his perfectly, like you start making one liners that are super quick and funny and when you make people laugh he’d just be looking at u softly like fuck yeah that’s my bABY bet y’all don’t have a comedian s/o 😤😤🥺

and you helped him acknowledge his feelings more!! before you came along I feel like he’d just deal with his emotions by putting his headphones on and just ignoring them same but now he talks to you in a very straightfoward and blunt way when he can’t understand his own feelings

↪ I feel like Oikawa has a problem being in long lasting relationships. We can tell from the way it’s often mentioned his girlfriends break up with him, and it’s probably related to how much time and attention he gives to volleyball

↪ When he ends up finding someone he can trust and who can overcome those problems, someone who can coexist happily with his love for volleyball, he starts feeling things he never felt before

↪ That will inevitably include thinking about the future, which is something he has never found himself considering in a relationship. When he thinks of the future, it’s usually about volleyball - nationals, official games, playing professionally, etc etc. 

↪ So I think he would be very excited about it. He’d be texting his s/o late at night and while waiting for their reply he’s the type of person to lock his phone and just move around with a smile on his face wondering what their reply would be and then just venturing further into picturing their future together

↪ He just feels it very strongly because he never had a relationship last this long, much less reach such intense feelings he didn’t know he was capable of. He might have never admitted it, but he might have considered if it was a problem of his not being able to have a love life and a sports life

↪ So I think the next time the two of them hang out, he’s very eager to talk about it. He trusts his s/o so much it doesn’t even cross his mind that they might find it weird, but that’s because he just never felt it before he’s so eager to share it. But somehow, that enthusiasm works

↪ He just squeezes his s/o so tightly in his arms and kisses them all over their face, to the point it’s almost ridiculous. He can’t help himself, he feels so overjoyed and happy at that second that he’s just letting out all his happy thoughts through actions.

↪ They end up cuddling in bed and talking about the future while he still leaves kisses on their cheeks and nose from time to time, just still trying to get rid of all this pent up energy.

↪ Frankly, talking about the future with Oikawa turns into some kind of a love letter. He’s explaining why it’s so important to him that they can talk about the future since this is a first time feeling for him, and how he’s so lucky to have found someone who understands him loving volleyball doesn’t mean he loves them any less

↪ He just starts rambling. ‘You just get me, you know? You’re always there for me... And you’d be such a good parent, too, is that weird? I’ve thought about us having a couple of kids. I’ve always wanted a big family, I mean I take care of my nephew all the time so I guess that’s where that comes from. And with you there, that’s my perfect idea of a life together. We can even get pets! Do you like cats or dogs?”

↪ He’s completely unfiltered and a bit too enthusiastic, but he’s just too adorable for his s/o to tell him to stop. It doesn’t weird them out, nor does it make them feel stuck in the relationship. If anything, it further proves that he can love volleyball and be constantly busy and STILL be thinking about them

↪ ‘But you know... I never had any of these thoughts before, so I don’t know how much of these actually come true. But if only one does, then I can only ask that you’re in the future with me. We’ll figure it out from there.’

↪ Kuroo is the type of person to think a lot about the future, but not completely talk about it out loud. 

↪ Different from Tsukishima, who simply avoids the subject because he gets lost in his own imagination and doesn’t want to mention it out loud, Kuroo simple doesn’t talk about it a lot because he doesn’t want to scare his s/o off

↪ If he’s picturing the future together, it’s because he’s very serious about the relationship they’re in, and thus he would be very careful not to blow their commitment out of proportion and potentially scare his partner. It’s not that he thinks discussing the future is scary, but different people may react differently to the same subject

↪ He does drop a few things out of nowhere. For example, if his s/o mentions they’ve always wanted a dog, he’d be the first person to say ‘don’t worry, baby, we’ll be taking care of two in the future’ very bluntly and then move the conversation along

↪ Would also drop a few questions, and funny enough it’s so his own view of the future is clearer. For example, he would ask if his s/o sees themselves getting married, having/adopting kids, how many, and their overall life plans so he can truly see how compatible they are and how he would handle it in the future

↪ The first time they truly talk about it, however, it’s the sweetest thing ever. They’re lying on the couch watching a movie and Kuroo decides to take the big step and ask about the future. I feel like as someone who likes stability (even if he’s adventurous, he needs stability in order to take on different challenges) asking about the future together is an important step, it’s like the next big step after saying I love you

↪ He’s very casual about it, just asks his s/o if they ever thought about their future together. Probably a little flustered since the question came out of nowhere, his s/o would ask them the same question, and he would pause the movie so they could have a proper conversation. 

↪ He’s gentle with his touches, trying to comfort both of them, brushing over their arm gently before moving to cup their face. He wants to be looking at them while he talks. He’s probably the type to make a big confession out of it, I won’t lie. ‘I think about the future with you all the time, silly.’ (even in serious times, he’s playful). 

↪ He goes into describing it with no problem, talking about how he can see their lives together being so peaceful and just made for each other. He mentions kids, two dogs (the same two he had casually dropped before), describes them travelling together and getting to experience life together as a couple in the future. 

↪ After that, he would probably kiss his s/o to show that he truly does mean it. It’s a very sweet and quick kiss, but it’s filled with a lot of emotion. Besides, it’s also silently announcing he finished talking and it’s a way he eagerly shows he’s eager to hear his s/o’s thoughts AND the plans they had as well

↪ They probably go to bed after talking for a while and just mutter ideas for the future together as they both drift off to sleep, enamoured with each other and the idea of the future. After all, you can plan all you want and be unsure, but one thing he’s certain of: The future will be just fine so long as his s/o is with him.
