We just met these 2 feline friends at Catilandi. They're Derek and Candela. They were both felines that make good friends to each other, and they were bonding to be bound together.

Derek is a bobcat who is loyal and slightly independent. He likes to catch prey during wintertime, having fun in the tundra continent, becoming a most famous predator and being partners with Candela. He is voiced by Antonio Banderas.

Candela is a Tsushima leopard cat who is lovely and caring at being alone in the Japanese continent. She likes to echo her own voice that says, "hu-hu-hu" while getting lost, touching her tail, "paw" the water with her paws while touching it gently, speaking in Japan with her greetings, playing in the snow with her friends and lives in Japan. She is voiced by Michelle Ruff.

The Tsushima leopard cat is a wild cat which only inhabits Tsushima Island (about 1/2way between Fukuoka [Kyushu] and S. Korea). It is regarded as a subspecies of the leopard cat, which migrated to Tsushima about 100,000 years ago when the island was connected to the Asian continent. In 1991, the Tsushima leopard cat was designated as a National Nature Monument. However, due to habitat degradation and road accidents, the cat population is decreasing, and in 1994 the Tsushima leopard cat was designated a National Endangered Species in accordance with the Law for the Conservation of Endangered Species. Conservation projects are being carried out so that, in the future, the Tsushima leopard cat can live safely in its natural environment.

Tsushima leopard cats are about the same size as a domestic cat. Differences:

Fur pattern: faint spots

Head: Stripes continuing from the face to the back of the head, and small round ears.

Ears: white spots on the back of the ears.

ヤマネコ can lead to wildcat specifically as a species, where you have the European wildcat and African wildcat-with the Asiatic wildcat as a subspecies of the latter.

And then you have wildcats which are small non-domestic cats. Japan has the Iriomote cat and Tsushima leopard cat.

Lynxes are literally “big wildcats (オオヤマネコ)” and for some reason there are a lot of pages asking if they can be kept as pets

The main one is Gintsuki:

She was once an InuYasha OC but she is not anymore. She's technically not a vampire but she does Vampire Things so I count her among my vampire OCs. She's a hybrid youkai (bat/tsushima leopard cat) and she's one of my favorite OCs; I think about her all the time even though I never post her oops.

She has a human lover (Sōshirō) who I barely draw oops.

She will 100% eat a person if the opportunity arises, though... (not her bae, I want to be clear on this)

I also have a few vampire characters I've adopted over on my Toyhouse, but the one with the most development is Marsden:

His design is originally by my friend @skullymo and I love him dearly. He's a vampire lord with a big ol' castle and several pet leech monsters. He's very laid back for a vampire lord, he doesn't get up to many evil doings. Anymore.

Another one is one of my Guild Wars 2 kiddos;

His name is Windsor Marchdale and he's so much fun to play. He's a very typical Dracula-era vampire, with a flair for theatrics and a hunter who wants him dead.
