#tsurune scenarios
Note
Hello I noticed that you posted something about Tsurune I love that anime and I was wondering if you could write scenario where Masaki meets his brother's photographer friend who shows up to the boys tournaments and he starts developing a crush on them.
Masaki Takigawa + Brother's friend
Tumblr media
Even after all this time, and all the tournaments, Masaki still got nervous at the start of each one.
It seemed to be worse now that he wasn’t participating. The hopes and dreams of the students he coached feeling heavier than his own. His teachings effecting their dreams, but having no tangible way to alter the outcome from the sidelines. He tried to keep it inside though.
“Oy! Masaki!”
He turned at the sound of his name from a familiar voice. Seeing Ren waving as he walked up. Another person in toe. “Nii-san, what are you doing here?”
“I was in town for some reference work on a new book, so I thought I’d come and see the tournament. You told me about it over the phone, remember?” He vaguely remembered that. “Oh! This is [Y/N]-chan. They’re a photography journalist major at the university. They’re interning with the publisher, so I had them tag along.”
“Nice to meet you.” [Y/N] said with a small bow. “I hope this isn’t too much of a surprise, or disturbance.”
“Not at all.” Masaki assured. “It’s a public event. So all are welcome.”
“Masaki-chan is the coach. But he’s also a great kyudo archer too. And a great guy.”
“Nii-san!” Masaki hissed at Ren’s compliment, while he and his guest laughed it off.
“Well, I’m sure it will be great to watch. I wanted to take some pictures. For my portfolio. We won’t get in the way.”
Masaki nodded and his brother & friend went off to the sidelines for the rest of the tournament.
He didn’t talk to them for nearly the rest of the day. He’d catch sight of [Y/N] now & then. Behind the lens. Hunched down to get a better angle. It was very familiar to him from being around Ren, but he still smiled a little at seeing their passion.
After the tournament was over, Masaki came over to talk to [Y/N] and his brother again. The two already scrolling through the photos. “Did you get any good ones?”
“A few.” [Y/N] replied. Handing him the camera to scroll through himself.
It was only a few pictures in and he could see they were very talented. Very being a still image, there was still a lot of movement to the photos. An energy. A liveliness. He flipped through a few more before he came across a photo of himself. Looking pensive as he waited for Minato to release his bow.
“Sorry. I guess I should have asked if you were ok with your picture taken. I can delete it if you want.”
Maskai blinked and released the breath he was holding. Like he had been in the picture. He handed the camera back and told them, “no. It’s ok. You can keep it if you want.”
[Y/N] smiled. “I can send you a copy? Of the whole roll I mean. That way you guys have some nice pictures of your events. They’re not professional, but it’s a start.”
“Not professional yet.” Ren chided with a wink before he nudged [Y/N] playfully.
“I would like that.” Masaki agreed. Gladly handing over his contact information to get the copies.
“I’ll send them to you later tonight. Once I go through the bad ones. Just text me to make sure you got them. Or…if you want to grab a coffee or something.”
The blunette looked a little stunned before [Y/N] jogged off. “They like you.” Ren cut in, knocking Masaki out of his stopper. “They said you were cute.”
Masaki turned bright pink and nudged his brother in the shoulder. “Nii-san!!” To which Ren laughed, but still didn’t try to stop him when he texted [Y/N] later.

Something I'm forgetting
Narumiya Minato x reader
Happy birthday
This is me just randomly wanting to write and since minato shares a birthday the me why the heck not? I haven't written in a while so excuse me. Might write more but hit me up if u want me to write something??? Idk
You were waiting for Minato after school at the kyudo club. You were watching your boyfriend and his teamates practicing their shots. It really was a magnificent sight to behold. You always found tranquility watching kyudo especially if it was your boyfriend. His form was immaculate and everything he would take a shot it was as if the whole world had gone quite and a gentle breeze greeted you out of nowhere everytime.
Minato hadn't notice your presence yet but Seiya certainly had. He saw you staring which you yourself hadn't realise and grinned at you while giving you a nod when you finally snapped out of it. You could tell that you were flushing but the whole club was familiar with your antics especially Seiya concidering you had been childhood friends too. He walked up to you seeing as you were stuck standing at the entrance and he was about to leave.
"It's that special day today huh?" Seiya inquired. You nodded wordlessly letting out a small yeah. He only smiled as he ruffled your hair before leaving you. He really did like messing with your hair.
After a while you and Minato were walking side by side making your way to his house. You didn't live that far off and you had already told your parents that you were going over to his. You had something planned at his house seeming as it was his birthday today. The two of you were walking silently hand in hand when u suddenly felt his demeanour shift as he squeezed your hand a bit.
"Minato? Is something the matter?" You asked confused.
He just looked at you with a sheepish smile. "No it's nothing. I'm just happy that you're here with me." It was heartwarming to hear him say that but random however you decided to shrug it off.
"I'm glad that you're here too...." You replied softly.
You got to his house not long later but before Minato managed to get in you grabbed him by the arm and stopped him in his tracks. "Minato." You called out. You grabbed something out of your backpack and handded it to him. It wasn't much but it was a single purple flower. "Happy birthday." You mumbled shyly.
Minato seemed startled at first as his cheeks burn a bit by the sudden gesture but he smiled back as you placed the flower in your hand. "Thanks."
"I didn't know what to get you. I thiught maybe giving you a kiss or something but i felt like it isn't special enough. For spmeone like you. Who practically lit up my life from my childhood.... " You were practically rambling at that point. Minato suddenly got close up to your face and placed something in your hair. That stopped your thoughts in your tracks.
"There you look pretty..." Minato gave you a closed eyed smile as his face was still quite close to you. He had placed the flower you had given to him earlier in your hair. Your face definetly heated up as you started stammering. Minato just chuckled as he pushed you and gestured to you to go open the door of his house.
You did and you were beyond suprised to find out what was suprised. Everyone you knew was there shouting out happy birthday. This certainly wasn't your doing. You glanced at Minato and he grinned at you. You just stared at him confused.
"I thought so.... You forgot your own birthday didn't you?" Minato giggled when he said that. It certainly dawned on you that you forgot that you and Minato shared the same birthday and you were fussing about his birthday so much that you forgot.
"I maybe? Might've? Yes?" You answered. "Thanks Minato. You're the best." You gave him a tight hug, your face nuzzled in the crook of his neck.
"Is it too late to ask for that burthday kiss?" Minato whispered in your ear.

Tsurune - Amatsu Hoshi Matsuri Event
I attended the Tsurune seiyu event on Sept 3rd, both session noon and afternoon.
I'll try to write detailed reports here and I'll post some of the live reading drama on my privatter. Follow me on my twitter (angelic1408) and I'll add you to the list to view my privatter
I'll use seiyuu name instead of character name
Uemura Yuto (UY): Minato
Ichikawa Aoi (IA): Seiya
Ishikawa Kaito (IK): Kaito
Yano Shogo (YS): Nanao
Suzuki Ryota (SR): Ryouhei
Asanuma Shintaro (AS): Masaki
Ono Kensho (OK): Shu
FukuJun (FJ): Nikaido
Please note that EN is not my first language so it's hard for me to put my thought into words.
The event have 5 corner:
Opening
Talk Session (Noon theme: What scene do you want to see once again? Afternoon theme: What's scene that makes you respect your character)
Game Session (Noon: putting ring to a stick -anime S2 ep 13- Afternoon: Eating Takoyaki game)
Live reading drama Session (both session had different scenario)
Closing
For noon talk session, each seiyuu is asked which scene they want to watch again:
UY: Coffee can scene that Minato received from Fuwa during the joint-camp
IA: During vs Kirisaki, when Seiya keep missing the target and his back is being supported by smol Minato
SR and AS: Kazemai girls match
YS: Kazemai boys eating udon together. Yano-san thinks this scene is interesting because Kazemai supposed to train their sync, but even for eating udon, all 5 of them have different personality.
IK: Kazemai and Kirisaki match side by side
OK: All Sae-chan reaction. Kensho-san said Sae-chan is like a key person that glued the Fujiwara family. She kinda bring Shu and his parents together. Also the wish that Shu write in his Tanabata tanzaku is also revealed in this event.
FJ: Tsujimine practise scene
The game they play on noon session is throwing a ring into a stick (like in the anime S2 EP 13). It's last man standing type of game. The rule is they have to follow an instruction when throwing the ring.
As a practise, they can throw the ring normally --> only Yano-san actually managed to put the ring into the stick
For first round, the action is they have to throw the ring after they got cheered by the audience.
Only Yano-san managed to put the ring on the stick again. Kensho-san and Ichikawa-san missed the target, but they're being forgiven because at least the ring were in the board.
Yano-san, Kensho-san, and Ichikawa-san proceed to round 2. This time, the action is to get cheered by their name
Asanuma-san suggested to use the nickname when they were in High School. So for Ichikawa-san it's Ittchi, Yano-san is Yanoooon, and Kensho-san is Onocchi. Kensho-san and Yano-san proceed to Final
The action they have to do for the final is to throw the ring without seeing and both of them actually did not make it. So FukuJun picked up Kensho ring and put it manually on the stick, making OnoKensho is the winner for the game.
He get a mini kaiten sushi set as a present.
Here's the most awaited part of the session:
Reading Session - Noon Part 1
follow me on twitter and I'll add you on the list

Note
was watching this anime called tsurune,, there was this scene where the very calm, leader, independent type finally crashed out (understandable) and he became reckless and went home in the rain,, then woke up with a fever the day after.
his (childhood) friend checked up on him then biked to school, on the way back their archery team group thing (that the guy was the leader of) got invited to their coachs like shrine temple practice, and when childhood friend invited the leader he did it by giving leader a very sentimental pocky box (i’m going somewhere with this) and on the back of the pocky box was this space to write a lil note just incase ur giving it to someone,
and when childhood friend and childhood leader first met (as kids), childhood friend offered a pocky box with the note being ‘my name is —- lets be friends!!”
and when leader went outside bc his dog kept barking, he saw that his mailbox had a pocky stick box and on the back was the words ‘i’ll be waiting for you’
so sick leader tries going to where everyone else is but he gets dizzy and he had to sit down and he almost fainted until childhood bff came in clutch and they talked stuff out and it led to leader resting his head on childhood bffs shoulder.
IT WAS SO CUTE I ALMOST KILLEDMSUELF.
now that scenario with sungho or leehan… 💭
-🍉
WHY IS THAT SO CUTE WTF
dude i feel like sungho is such childhood friend material, like to me he screams the cute boy that protects you from bullies on the playground.
also i feel like the description you gave for the leader guy fits him perfectly! i know sungho isn't the official leader, but he is the unofficial mom of the group so i see this HELLA
suddenly we aren't childhood bffs anymore and actually dating! bc ngl i was geeking so bad over sungho earlier i took a nap and fell asleep thinking about that man he is so pretty.
YOU NEED TO START WRITING MELON; PUT THESE IDEAS TO USE!

Oh, Tsurune. I had my opinions pretty much set going into this season, and nothing from the first ep gave me any hope that they would change.
Much like in the first season, this ep was at its best when the boys are doing something other than archery, and thankfully we get a lot of that here. KyoAni’s unbelievable character animation shines through in both action sequences and mellow scenarios, allowing for the autumnal beauty of the setting to melt into my brain. Tsurune may be boring but it’s also quite lovely.
But it’s also boring, mostly because archery is boring and it’s wild to me that these boys would care this much about it. Baseball, sure, i get it. But seeing these boys obsess about something that most others treat as an occasional weekend pastime at best just looks so strange.
The first season of Tsurune is Free! minus the funny bits, and it looks like the second season is heading in that direction as well. I stan KyoAni and I will still watch! It will likely end up my favorite show of the season. I just hope it finds a way to try something different this time around

"Blue Bells"
Takigawa Masaki x Reader.
Tumblr media
"Masaki-kun"
As he draw the last bow hitting directly at the middle of the target, he sighed as he finally turned around.
"Y/N"
He was surprised as he saw you, smiling lightly he began to walk towards you.
"What brings you here?"
You showed him a potted plant, confusion was written all over his face as he raised an eyebrow at you.
"What's that?"
You rolled your eyes as you walked pass him and placed your bag around the corner, beside his small drawer. You decided to pay him a visit in his shrine.
"It's blue bell silly"
You turned around and faced him still holding the plant in your hands.
"I see, so? What are you gonna do with it?"
"Plant it of course"
"Plant it?"
You nodded as you smiled at him, he sighed and smiled at you while placing his hand in his hips.
"Is that so? Why did you decided to bring a plant HERE and decided to plant it HERE, as you can see we got a plenty of flowers already"
"You know for a priest you sure got a lot of questions"
"Oh do i?"
You looked at the plant that you're holding.
"While i was on my way here i came across this small flower shop and then i saw this cute little plant that was displayed in front..."
You smiled as you looked up at him.
"....it reminded me of you so i bought it!"
Taken back by your statement a light tint of pink started to color masaki's cheeks. You turned around as looked for a good place to plant the flower beside the courtyard.
"Give me that i'll handle that for you"
"Really? It's ok i can plant it myself"
"Don't worry I'll find a nice place to plant the flower"
You handed him the pot, he placed it beside of his drawer.
"I'll plant it later after i finish here"
You looked at the target, you could say there are around 40 to 50 arrows in it? Some are outside besides the target around maybe 6 arrows?
"What are you doing?"
"Shooting?"
You rolled your eyes at his statement, you grabbed a cloth and placed it in your arms.
"I can see that"
You stretched out your arm as began to whistle.
"Fuu! Come here!"
A beautiful white owl started flying towards you as it landed at your arms. You started to coo the cute owl.
"What i mean is why are you shooting"
Still busy petting the owl, fuu started to rub it head in your cheeks making you tickle. Seeing you giggling masaki's heart can't help but melt.
"Nothing i just want to shoot, you know I'm a coach now so i can't be rusty so practicing a little wont hurt."
You hummed as you still continue petting fuu. Masaki started to walk towards you, as soon as he reached you he tilted your head as a planted a soft kiss on your lips. He pulls back, nose touching each other he smiled at you.
"Thank you for the flowers"
"You're very much welcome"

looking for crossovers!! (asks open!)
(tl;dr at the bottom of the post)
i go back to school soon (cries) and i feel bad about not posting as much as i did at the beginning of summer, so i’m gonna try something.
i really want to write crossovers, so please send some in! i’ve started getting into haikyuu again, and kuroko no basket, and i have some favorite anime that aren’t necessarily sport anime but i love them all the same.
HERE is a list of other anime i will write crossovers for. alternatively, here’s the url you can copy and paste into a tab if the link doesn’t work: https://prince-of-scenarios.tumblr.com/crossover
i’m going to be a bit stricter on this, since i wouldn’t want to get an anime that i’m less comfortable with and post disappointing scenarios/headcanons/etc.! i want to enjoy what i write and for you all to enjoy it as well!
i’ve also included the list here:
Kuroko no Basket
Haikyuu!
Shokugeki no Soma
Tsurune
Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
Ouran High School Host Club
Bungou Stray Dogs
Fruits Basket
Golden Kamuy
these anime are ones i’m most comfortable with right now. for big ones like naruto and free!, since i haven’t seen those in a while i’m afraid there are only certain characters i’ll write for. for example, i can write about people from the leaf village pretty comfortably, but i won’t write for the akatsuki because i was never really acquainted with their personalities very well.
if you want to take a gamble and send in a request anyways, i might write it or i might not. it’s always safer to stick with the list, and it may be updated but i won’t promise anything. please be as specific as you can when requesting! i would hate to write something that doesn’t fit with what you want!
i’m going to try and keep the ask box open for a while. it will be open until i feel like closing it, so please go crazy and send in asks! usually i open it for a few days at most, but since i really want to challenge myself to keep updating this and bringing you all more content i’ll keep the ask open for as long as i can. of course i’ll let you guys know when i feel like it’s been open long enough.
sorry for such a long post! if you see an anime in this list that you like and want to send in headcanons/scenarios/reactions/etc., then feel free!
thanks for reading! have fun requesting!
tl;dr: asks open indefinitely, choose an anime from the list for a crossover ask. if you send in a character from an anime i’m not comfortable writing for i may not write it. please be as specific as possible with your asks! have fun!

A walk
I really liked your idea @oddlyvivid, but couldn’t choose a ship, so here’s both ;) (It took a long time because I had some trouble with their characters, but I hope I got them right)
“Minato!” Seiya called to his friend he moment his eyes found him.
“Seiya!” Minato smiled and went to say hi. “And Kuma too!” he immediately ran towards the dog who wiggled his tail happily.
“Are you going for the walk?” Minato voice was muffled because he was hugging the big dog. He scratched behind his ears and Kuma’s tails worked like crazy, swinging left and right.
“Yes”, he said and then made a pause like he is contemplating about something. “You want to come with us? We can get some ice cream too since it’s really hot outside.”
“Sure”, Minato smiled and stood up, leaving Kuma really disappointed.
Seiya leaned down to pat Kuma’s head, stopping him from following Minato to beg for more scratches. “I’m sure that you want Minato all to yourself Kuma, but you are not the only one”, he gently whispered to Kuma.
“Did you say something?” Minato, who started walking, turned around to look at him, his gaze innocent.
“It’s been a while since we went for a walk together with Kuma”, Seiya’s smile widened.
“We went last week”, Minato looked at him confused.
“That’s a long time ago”, Seiya smiled and gave Minato Kuma’s leash. “I enjoy our walks so it was a long time for me.”
“Oh”, Minato hesitated for a bit, but still took the leash. “I guess I like them too.” Kuma didn’t seem to mind the change in leadership, he found his place between his guardians, walking in their pace.
“That makes me happy”, Seiya’s voice didn’t reveal any sign of his emotions, but his eyes never left Minato.
“I saw Shuu the other day. He said he…” Minato started, but stopped when he saw the look in Seiya’s eyes. “What’s wrong?”
“Why did you see him?”
“Why?” Minato looked troubled. “We saw each other on the street and said hello. Why do you ask that?”
“You… never mind”, Seiya sighed and tried to let go of it, but he could feel his pulse quicken.
“Is something wrong?”
“I just felt like you have been seeing him a lot past few days.”
“That is true”, Minato said, deep in thought. “But I don’t think that is weird.”
“You don’t? Even though that only started recently?” Seiya’s eyes darkened.
“I don’t… Why does it matter?” Minato titled his head in confusion. He just didn’t understand why this bothered his friend so much.
“That is because I…” Seiya was going to say it, but he stopped himself, taking a deep breath.
Not like this. I can’t tell him like this.
“You what?” Minato asked Seiya who was saved by his dog that suddenly started running and dragged Minato with him.
“Kuma, nice save”, Seiya sighed, relieved, and ran after them, a smile returning to his lips.
“Kuma! Leave that cat alone”, Minato hugged Kuma to stop him from running further after the cat, but was mostly dragged along with.
“Minato?” a new voice came and saved him. Noticing the presence of a new person, Kuma was happily wiggling its tail and sniffing his new friend.
“Shuu?” Minato smiled at the newcomer.
“What are you doing here?” Seiya, who managed to catch up with them, asked coldly.
Suddenly there was tension in the air. Minato looked at the both with a frown and asked. “Are you fighting?”
“No, why would we fight?” Seiya answered with a smile. A smile no one would call angelic.
“Oh”, Minato mumbled and smiled awkwardly, scratching the back of his head. “Must have imagined it than.”
“I’m glad I got to see you”, Shuu smiled at Minato, completely ignoring Seiya who glared daggers at him.
“Me too”, Minato returned the smile. “I’m sorry I didn’t reply to your message yet.”
They are mail buddies now? Since when? Seiya looked at Minao shocked. Why didn’t he tell me? He felt an odd pain in his chest, a weird heaviness that just didn’t want to leave.
“It’s fine, at least I got to see you”, he moved closer to Minato, staring at his eyes. He was too close to call it simply friendly.
If he moves closer their faces would… Seiya realized with a shock.
“Oh, no, you don’t”, Seiya muttered and immediately inserted himself between Minato and Shuu.
“What are you doing?” Shuu asked Seiya with a cold look in his eyes.
“That should be my line”, Seiya stood his ground, not wanting to admit that Shuu’s dark glare was kind of frightening.
“Step away”, Shuu clenched his fists, slowly losing patience.
“No, I won’t let you”, Seiya steeled himself for a fight.
“You won’t let me what?” Shuu raised an eyebrow.
“I…I won’t let you…” Seiya started, but then he remembered that Minato was behind him.
“You can’t even say it and you still think you have right to stand between me and Minato”, Shuu moved, ready to pass around Seiya.
“That doesn’t matter!” Seiya raised his voice and grabbed Shuu by his shoulders. He could feel anger building up inside of him, the heavy feeling from his chest worsening. “What I say to you doesn’t matter anyway.”
Shuu’s eyes went wide for a moment, but he quickly composed himself again.  “Are you sure about that?”
“Yes. It only matters what I say to him.”
“What do you think Minato?” Shuu looked behind Seiya, but found no one. “Where did he go?”
“What?” Seiya turned around and saw that Minato was indeed gone, the spot behind him was empty. “Where…?”
Both of them looked around, but didn’t find anyone.
They started to panic, but it was soon eased by a very familiar laughter. As soon as they heard him, they started running towards Minato.
What they found was Minato laying on the grass and Kuma on top of him, licking his face, trying to get to the ice cream Minato head in his hands. He held his treat high in the air and used the other hand to fight off the mountain of fur in front of him.
“No, Kuma! Ice cream is bad for you!” Minato said through his laughter. “That tickles!”
“It seems we have been beaten by a dog”, Shuu commented.
“It would seem so”, Seiya agreed with a tense smile.
.........
Later:
“Why didn’t you tell me you were going to buy ice cream?” Seiya looked at Minato angrily.
“I did, but you were having a tense glare off with Shuu so I just left.”
“You can’t just disappear like that, I was worried!”
“Calm down, grandmother”, Shuu stated, his voice monotone.
“I’m not his grandma!” Seiya was having none of it.

warnings: angst
(n.) the fear of being alone
It’s not your fault. It’s not your fault. It’s not your fault.
You could count on yourself and your godforsaken boyfriend that you’d rather stick your arrows up your ass before you’d admit it was your fault—which it clearly wasn’t.
Your chest guard felt sickly cramped as you tightened the string of your bow. You didn’t even give a second glance to the green lawn that faced the dojo—the arrows you’d fired today wasn’t sticking anywhere close to the target, and frankly, you had hoped that your coping method would fare much better than you’d thought.
From the corner of your eye, you noticed the wooden placard hanging from the entrance of the enclosure. Last year, a group of your upperclassmen had bought the gaudy thing from the nearby gift shop as a “parting gift to their cute kouhai”. You remembered the forced grin you and the other members shared when they decided to put it up at the first place anyone would see when they entered the dojo.
Heijoshin. Ordinary mind. An undisturbed heart at all times.
“An arrow won’t hit unless your spirit is in balance: resolute, yet serene,” the voice of the Kyudo Club’s coach echoed in your head.
Was it bothering you that much, your fight with Akaashi? If this lingered in your head, it’d affect your archery performances as well as the impressions you and the rest of the club had worked so hard on forming upon the new members… Maybe you should apologize soon—
Scowling, you clicked your tongue and picked up another arrow. “My mind is as ordinary as it can be. It’s not a problem… it’s not my fault.”
You nocked the shaft to your bow, your glove grazing gently on the fibers of the string. A petty fight wasn’t going to be enough to waver your resolve. If someone had to apologize, it was him. He’d started the whole thing anyway…
Taking a deep breath, the muscles of your shoulders slackened and you raised the bow over your head, drawing the string in an arc so perfect that’d have your upperclassmen and Akaashi gasping in awe. Into the stage of kai*, the wooden placard seemed to glow brightly in your head. This was it. This was going to be the perfect shot… Heijoshin…
You freed your mind off the entire universe and released. Miss.
══════ ⋆★⋆ ══════
Just into your second year, your former upperclassmen had bestowed upon you the “honor” of being the Captain of the Kyudo Club—and to think that the tasteless placard in the dojo was weighty enough. Your boyfriend Akaashi, on the other hand, was a hair luckier with his entire Vice-Captain gig going on.
“’Lucky’… In my case, that word would fit better in a phrase like ‘lucky charm’ or ‘lucky fortune’. But about the things that I have to handle, it’s nearly unthinkable even if I’m only second-in-command,” he said, face paling in deep thought.
You laughed and fiddled with the yumibukuro* encasing your bow. “I suppose Bokuto-senpai is proving to be much more extraordinary than we’d thought. The Boys’ Volleyball Club is in for an exciting treat with him as Captain; you’re going to need a lot of lucky charms this time.”
“If we get enough new first-years to subdue him, then maybe it’d be a treat for me. Until then, I’m counting on my lucky charm to make sure I stay grounded.”
You blushed at his words, finding interest at the hem of your blazer—he always had his way to render you flustered even with a poker face on. Noticing the slight bump of your knuckles, Akaashi glanced at your dainty hands against his (though both calloused from hours of intense sports) and threaded your fingers together. Amused, he watched the red on your cheeks deepen.
“I-I’ll do my best so you can do your best, Keiji-san.”
Smiling, he brought your linked hands to eye level. “I look forward to it.”
“Akaashi!”
From around the corner where the both of you were huddled together, third-year Bokuto Koutarou, Captain of the Boys’ Volleyball Club, emerged. At a distance, he really did look like a horned owl just as the rumors said.
“Akaashi, I thought we were going to hand out the flyers together, you sleazy dog… Is that your girlfriend? Hi there, Kyudo-chan! Sorry, but I’m gonna have to take back what belongs to the Volleyball Club for a while, ‘kay?”
You only bowed politely, though roping all the forces in your body to not belt out in laughter. A quiet sigh escaping his lips, Akaashi reluctantly unraveled his fingers from yours and went to pick up the pile of hand-drawn promotions that had been sitting right below the bench. As his back faced you to go and fulfill his club duties, you felt your heart sink.
“Um… Keiji-san?”
He turned around hopefully, a playful glint dancing in his eyes. “Yes, Y/N-san?”
“You’ll be there to see my kyudo demonstration, right?”
A single eyebrow raised, Akaashi chuckled. “Of course, Buchou-san*.”
══════ ⋆★⋆ ══════
You laid spread-eagle on the middle of the dojo’s floor thinking about lunch then Akaashi, then lunch, then Akaashi again.
Every muscle in your system was asleep at this point, leaving you rooted to the wooden slats. Your stomach on the other hand was a different case altogether. Maybe you shouldn’t have skipped out on lunch.
Maybe you shouldn’t have fought with Akaashi.
Groaning, you shook your head to dismiss the notion. No way. He started it. What were you feeling so sorry for? Rolling over to your side, you wondered if you could just fall asleep and start a new life inside your head.
══════ ⋆★⋆ ══════
“Midori, can you check the strings on the bows for me? I’ll just go and get the extra gloves from Ikuya-sensei for a bit.”
Your fellow second-year member meekly picked up one of the ragged bamboo bows and gave you a thumbs-up. Slipping into your indoors shoes as you leave the dojo, you rubbed at your eyes, the fatigue of trying to negotiate with your coach to make your upperclassmen’s placard “more impressionable for the guests” seeping into your head.
Though exhausted, you were satisfied. Last year’s tournament had created a deep image for Fukurodani Academy’s Kyudo Club. While you barely mentioned it, you were proud of the fact that you contributed to many of the perfect shots for your team as their omae*. The result was an unexpected crowd of first-years as well as second and third-years at the Kyudo Club’s booth at today’s opening ceremony.
“Put on a show for them, L/N-san,”  your club’s advisor grinned while handing you a box of new gloves under her desk.
Your face brightened at the thought of finally being able to pull off the shot you’ve been practicing for weeks. And with your boyfriend watching you every step of the way, you were confident you were going to blow their socks off. So far, so good—
“I’ve always liked you, Akaashi-san! Please go out with me.”
You froze like a deer caught in headlights. Quick enough to give you whiplash, you snapped your head in the direction of the wall beside you. Peering over the bricks that separated you from the view, you tiptoed to a level that allowed you to watch the entire affair without being seen.
There he was, like the feminine voice had indicated, your boyfriend Akaashi Keiji in all his glory, a dumbstruck expression painting his face. Standing across him was a second-year girl, someone you’d habitually seen to be from Class 2-2. What was her name again…? Gotou…?
However, the first thing you noticed about the entire rendezvous was that Gotou-san was pretty. Awfully pretty. It took you a moment to process that Akaashi was actually a rather attractive individual too, and for him to get confessed to shouldn’t be much of a surprise to you, or even anyone.
…But why did your chest hurt so much?
“I-I’m sorry, Gotou-san,” your ears perked up at his voice. Akaashi was bowing graciously before the girl in front of him. “I can’t accept your confession.”
You felt rude for even thinking that your faith in Akaashi was hopeless. Just as relief washed over you like a cold torrent, Gotou Hanako suddenly threw herself at your boyfriend with tears streaming down her face. You nearly choked over your own breath.
“I know I can’t have you, but please let me hold you like this for now…!” she sobbed into his uniform.
In your head, Akaashi had already pushed the girl away, reprimanding her of the severity of her extreme advances. In your head, you walked away from the site calmly, knowing that your boyfriend wouldn’t doubt a speck of your relationship. In your head, everything was fine.
But in real life, Akaashi didn’t push her away. In real life, Akaashi stroked her back and let her cling onto him like an anchor. In real life, there was the green monster called envy.
══════ ⋆★⋆ ══════
You smacked your forehead on the side of a shelf storing kyudo uniforms when a rapt knock on the entrance door brought you to wake. You winced at the sharp sting settling on your temple; though you couldn’t see it, you felt a faint patch of red and purple already forming there.
“Sorry for the intrusion, Y/N—um… L/N-san.”
Dizzied from your sudden nap and the slight concussion that the shelf had given you, you’d barely noticed that Akaashi had entered the compound. He looked exactly the same as he always did—tousled dark hair, with a slight jaded look to his eyes. Neatly pressed uniform, direct orders from his mother, paired with the porcelain tone of his skin. But the tense air to him made worlds of difference, and you nearly mistook him for a stranger because of it.
In his clutches was a dainty lunch box, wrapped neatly with a ginko-patterned cloth that made the blood rise to your face. It so happened to be the exact same ginko-patterned cloth that you used to bundle up your own lunch. Alas, for a ‘lucky charm’, you wouldn’t consider it lucky to have the one thing that could save you from starvation to be held by the last person you wanted to see in that moment.
“Your younger sister asked me to bring it to you,” he said. The cold tone he used did nothing to blend well with the atmosphere. “Technically, she just gave it to me then left.”
You cursed your sister in your mind, making sure she received as much astral flicks to the forehead as possible. Indignantly puffing out your chest, you snatched the box away from Akaashi while doing your absolute best to not get vacuumed into the soft gaze that he held.
“Thank you very much. A-Akaashi-san,” you wanted to vomit with the way you churned out his last name. Had you grown so accustomed to calling him by his first name that you’d completely forgotten how to call him by his last?
Please say something. Despite the wall you had built in your head to separate the both of you, you didn’t want it. You could honestly just apologize and get the whole thing over with, but what was so difficult about doing that?
══════ ⋆★⋆ ══════
You’d expect the audience to work up a healthy sweat in your palms, but even with their interested gazes, you felt absolutely nothing. Meanwhile, Akaashi was seated elegantly at the front of the crowd, giving you what could be the warmest smile in the world.
Against your usual responses to him, you quickly turned away, effectively barricading him from you. You’d decided after the spectacle you had seen, that nothing was going to distract you from performing the perfect shot. Not even the kind glances Akaashi was giving you.
“The Captain of the Kyudo Club will now demonstrate the standard hassetsu*,” Midori announced to the crowd as you approached the front lines.
All eyes fell on you as you carefully positioned yourself then your bow according to your target. When you arrived at the point to nock your arrow in its cranny, your breaths fell jagged and the world seemed to fall apart.
Why did that have to happen? Why did you have to see that right before a pivotal moment like this? Akaashi knew how risky it was to pull off that move in public, so why did he do it? You, who had been so confident about showing the audience a breathtaking exhibition, now hesitated of the outcome of your shot.
You didn’t even realize you had already fully pinned your string back in all its force… How long had you been holding that? Was it eight seconds already? Gritting your teeth in prayers, you hoped that it was enough and released, the whinnied whip of the arrow nearly throwing you backwards.
Your chest dropped at the sight of the target. Your arrow hit right on, but it was dangerously close to the frames. Too long, you scowled, chastising yourself. That draw was timed too long.
Behind you, Akaashi made a startled face that quickly contradicted all the smiles he had given you so far. Seeing his guiltless expression only made you even more irritated. “Would a volunteer like to have a try?” A couple of eager hands shot up like fireworks. You were almost impressed that they still wanted to try out even after seeing a shot like that.
However, in the crowd of excited figures, you spotted a first year who’d been eyeing you virtuously since he had entered the dojo. Come to think of it, you’d seen him in last year’s tournament too… he’d been staring at you wide-eyed back then as well—taking in your posture and movements like a living camera despite only being a volunteer staff at the venue.
“You there. At the front, what’s your name?” you called out him. Were you even thinking? If so, what were you thinking of? You didn’t even care. You were just… angry. “Do you have any experience in kyudo?”
His back straightened like a ruler when he stood, the wisps of his black hair flying all over his face as he smoothed out his uniform before you. “T-Takehashi Keigo from Class 1-2!  U-um, my experience… In my first year of middle school I joined a neighborhood kyudo association… I’m afraid I’m not as good as you though. I-I saw your performance at the tournament last year… it was amazing.”
Looking between Akaashi and the boy in front of you, you simpered. Jackpot.
Handing him your bow and glove, you made sure your skin lingered against his for a tad bit too long; just enough for a certain someone’s pair of rain-colored eyes to notice. “Show me how you handle the bow, Takehashi-kun. I will guide you from there.”
Like the cherry blossoms bordering the fence outside the dojo, the boy’s face bloomed into a vibrant shade of pink and red. As Takehashi took his stance, it came to your attention, that for someone who only had limited exposure to kyudo grounding, he wasn’t bad. If this wasn’t a case to simply make your boyfriend feel bitter, you would probably probe into his skills a little bit further.
“Ah, wait. Your hikiwake* is a bit shaky. Here, let me…”
If your head hadn’t been clouded with acid, you probably wouldn’t be doing this. You probably wouldn’t be sidled so cozily against the shoulder of an unknowing first-year with an obvious devotion for you. You probably wouldn’t be acting like such a petty girlfriend—what was Akaashi’s head clouded with when he embraced Gotou like that? Was he thinking of you when he did it?
Akaashi’s glare was drilling through your back already. Even inside the cool dojo, you could feel the heat seeping inside your kyudogi*. You didn’t want to stop. A lone voice within you screamed of selfishness, but at what cost? You almost smiled at the thought of giving him a taste of his own medicine.
By the time demonstrations were over, there was a half-full applications log for the Kyudo Club, a near empty dojo, and an evidently disgruntled Akaashi Keiji. The latter had quickly dragged you away to the quiet crook harboring the lawn maintenance shed with no words to spare.
“…What were you doing?” he gritted, shoes tapping impatiently and throwing bits and pieces of sand at your feet.
You frowned, “What’re you accusing me of?”
“There’s nothing to accuse you of if you were doing it on purpose,” Akaashi shot back. “You were practically holding that first year much too close to be modest. I don’t know what kind of message you’re trying to convey to me, but you have to stop.”
“What if I said that it was purely accidental?” you, too, felt increasingly impatient. Apologize already, you thought, as if he would miraculously hear you.
“Don’t peg me for Bokuto-san; I’m not gullible. I knew you were deliberately doing it, Y/N-san.”
Your lips flattened into a thin line. You were running out of composure by now; the fuse was lit and ready to go. “Does that make hugging Gotou-san much less of a intentional action then?”
The missile has blown and the fog thickened. You watched the color drain from your boyfriend’s features—his pale skin was somehow even more paler than before. Meanwhile, his eyes were the perfect image of horror: its reflective surface bounced off your image like a broken mirror, distorting you and the world around it.
You took his silence as a cue to continue. “I saw you. I saw her confess to you. I saw you hug her even though you rejected her… I don’t get it, Keiji-san. Why did you do it? Did it ever occur to you that you had a girlfriend?”
“I was just as confused as you. I was only consoling her and that was that,” the way his voice grew louder only made your chest tighten. “If someone had rejected you, wouldn’t you want to be comforted? Or is the great L/N Y/N too inhospitable for that?”
You and Akaashi never argued. Never. Everyone had said you were like the pieces of a perfect jigsaw puzzle. Compatible in all angles. But now, seeing him yell and hearing yourself yell was the antithesis of that entire allegory. It was like you had bent yourselves apart by force.
“I wouldn’t know because I never confessed to anyone! You were the one who confessed to me first, moron,” you seethed, blood boiling in your veins.
“Then, I wish I never did!”
And the entire world fell apart.
══════ ⋆★⋆ ══════
“Wait!”
You had blurted the word out so easily. If only it was just as easy to say it when you fought… things would be a little lighter.
Akaashi, who had earlier looked arguably reluctant, turned on his heel rather swiftly at your call. Now that you’d done the trick, what was next? Apologizing immediately seemed very anticlimactic and you weren’t one to admit loss so effortlessly—
“L/N-san, if it’s not important, I’m sure you don’t need me here,” your last name sounded like an alien language on his tongue. It was hostile and definitely foreign.
‘Hostile’ to hell! you huffed as you watched his back drift away ever so slowly before you. “D-don’t go!”
Fantastic, now he was looking at you like you were the alien in the room. Meeting his steely gaze, your feet shifted nervously against the wooden slats. A stubborn knot tightened in your throat, nearly forcing out what you’d presumed to be vomit settling behind your mouth.
“Please don’t leave me, Keiji-san…” your eyes flickered fleetingly before finally descending on your feet, “I’m scared of going back to being alone. I-I understand if you want to break up with me but—”
“Y/N-san, I’m not breaking up with you.”
The sound you made was an incoherent mixture of a relieved sigh and cry of shock. Whatever the noise was, your expression on the other hand was enough to make Akaashi’s cheeks puff up in subdued laughter. You didn’t say it, but you really did miss his smile; the way it’d stir up all the warmth in your stomach, it formed bubbles of fluttery comfort that rose all the way up to your head.
“I-I thought you were going to break up with me,” he said as-a-matter-of-factly. “What I did was unacceptable. I was overwhelmed by Gotou-san’s actions and I became so angered by your, uh… ‘vengeance’ that I didn’t think to consider your feelings more. I was selfish, Y/N-san. And I’m sorry for hurting your feelings. Please forgive me for the awful things I’ve done to you.”
Were you even breathing anymore? When was the last time you inhaled air? When you murmured his name, like the mantra that it seemed like, all the weight you had been shouldering the past few days was finally knocked off your back. You could finally breathe.
“How unfair, Keiji-san.”
“Huh?!”
“That apology was too sentimental for me to outdo,” you continued rather gruffly, though in your heart, the gates for Akaashi was already wide open. “But, still… I’m really sorry for what I did. I see that the stunt I pulled off was pushing it too much… I promise, Takehashi-kun and I don’t have any further relations aside from captain to club member. In that way, I want to fix what happened… If that’s alright with you?”
When Akaashi thought about something serious, he became as still as a statue. In your dojo, he stood unmoving, you were afraid if you were to say something he’d shatter and turn into dust. Yet, the grim look would have fooled you if it weren’t for the words he’d uttered next.
“Y/N-san, would it be appropriate if I kissed you right now?”
“Wh-what?!” your lips tingled along with the searing heat that clouded your cheeks. God, he was really high-maintenance whenever he wanted to be. “Sorry, but I think that’s impossible r-right now! If you did that, I’ll definitely—”
As you rambled on, you didn’t realize that Akaashi had moved closer to you and ruffled your hair endearingly. He laughed, “I know, I know. I just missed seeing your flustered face. If a kiss won’t do… then, can you show me your archery?”
Picking up your bow leaning on the side of a shelf, you beamed brightly. Your heart was clearer than the sky that day. Heijoshin. No misses.

Anime i’ve Watched
That begin with a T (Part 2)!
Yep this is how i’m going to bring over all the anime and manga i’ve watched and posted about on the old blog. It’s not so detailed but it will have to do. Anything new I watch or read from this point on will have their own posts.
Tokyo Ghoul:
Genres: Action, Mystery, Horror, Psychological, Supernatural, Drama, Seinen
Tumblr media
Synopsis: Tokyo has become a cruel and merciless city—a place where vicious creatures called “ghouls” exist alongside humans. The citizens of this once great metropolis live in constant fear of these bloodthirsty savages and their thirst for human flesh. However, the greatest threat these ghouls pose is their dangerous ability to masquerade as humans and blend in with society. Based on the best-selling supernatural horror manga by Sui Ishida, Tokyo Ghoul follows Ken Kaneki, a shy, bookish college student, who is instantly drawn to Rize Kamishiro, an avid reader like himself. However, Rize is not exactly who she seems, and this unfortunate meeting pushes Kaneki into the dark depths of the ghouls' inhuman world. In a twist of fate, Kaneki is saved by the enigmatic waitress Touka Kirishima, and thus begins his new, secret life as a half-ghoul/half-human who must find a way to integrate into both societies. My Thoughts: Loved the Manga... did not love the anime. Could not explain to you why now that it has been so long since i’ve watched this... Amazing opening theme though!!
Tokyo Ghoul √A :
Genres: Action, Mystery, Horror, Psychological, Supernatural, Seinen, Drama
Tumblr media
Synopsis:  Ken Kaneki has finally come to accept the monstrous, flesh-craving part of himself that he has feared and despised for so long. After escaping captivity and torture, Kaneki joins Aogiri Tree—the very militant ghoul organization that had abducted him, leading his friends to question his true motive and loyalty. As tension between the government and the ghouls continues to rise, the Commission of Counter Ghoul, the government's specialized anti-ghoul agency, has intensified their efforts to completely purge Tokyo of ghouls. This threatens the transient peace of Kaneki's friends and former comrades—the ghouls at the Anteiku coffee shop. Aware of the dangerous situation, Kaneki faces several battles that puts his precious fleeting humanity on the line. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Tonari no Totoro (My Neighbor Totoro):

Tumblr media
Synopsis:  In 1950s Japan, Tatsuo Kusakabe relocates himself and his two daughters, Satsuki and Mei, to the countryside to be closer to their mother, who is hospitalized due to long-term illness. As the girls grow acquainted with rural life, Mei encounters a small, bunny-like creature in the yard one day. Chasing it into the forest, she finds "Totoro"—a giant, mystical forest spirit whom she soon befriends. But soon, many factors conspire to make Minato take up the bow once again: the start of a new Kyuudo club in his high school, a chance encounter with a mysterious archer, and the support of his childhood friends, Seiya Takehaya and Ryouhei Yamanouchi.
