Ever since you were a small child you knew you were different. You couldn't hear the ocean waves crashing into the sand, the laughter of children playing, or the voices of your parents when they attempted to communicate with you.
When your parents noticed that you didn't react to loud noise, them calling your name, or anything else related to hearing they immediately took you to the TsahĂŹk hoping that she could cure you.
Ronal tried multiple rituals, herbs, and techniques but nothing was successful.
That's when you were deemed deaf.
You were never mad or sad that Eywa made you this way. You felt like the Great Mother blessed you with a deep connection to her world. You always believed that not having one sense heightened your others.
Wherever you looked or touched you could feel her presence. The wind gliding across your skin, the coolness of the ocean water as you swam around, looking at the beautiful aquatic creatures, and the way your body absorbed the sun's warmth.
You admired every aspect and detail of Pandora.
You always loved collecting shells and incorporating them into your latest hairstyle, weaving them into necklaces, bracelets, or gorgeous headpieces.
Growing up you didn't have many friends due to your condition. Children in the village weren't fond of being your companion because they felt like you wouldn't be able to keep up with them.
You and Tsireya met for the first time when both of you were ten years old, she had seen you walking around the village multiple times and she always wondered why you were alone. One day Tsireya and Ronal were walking to their marui when Tsireya saw you from afar, sitting in the sand drawing different images with your fingers.
"Mother, why is she always alone? Why doesn't she talk to anyone?" Tsireya questioned her mother
"She is deaf yawntutsyĂŹp therefore she cannot speak since she's never learned how. Whenever someone tries to speak to her she can't hear them" Ronal knew how much of a loving and caring heart her daughter had and she knew that Tsireya wanted to get to know you, "Maybe you should go play with her one day, I know she would love your company"
And the next day Tsireya came up to you in hopes to create a friendship. You were doing your normal routine, playing in the sand. As you drew pictures of your favorite fish you felt a tap on your shoulder which startled you a little. You turned around and came face to face with Tsireya, 'Hi, I'm Tsireya what's your name?' she signed to you with a friendly, bright smile
'I'm y/n'
'Do you want to make necklaces with me?' Tsireya gestures to the basket next to her filled with woven string, shells, polished stones, and other materials.
You were surprised by her offer. That someone wanted to do an activity with you, especially the Olo'eyktan's and TsahĂŹk's daughter, 'Yes I would like that. Necklaces are my favorite thing to make' you sign to her, feeling a sense of excitement swirl inside you.
Tsireya sat down next to you and placed the basket in between both of you and began to create beautiful necklaces to wear around the village. That was one of your favorite childhood memories, the day you made your first friend.
â
After that day, both of you were inseparable from each other including today. Both of you were now eighteen and were still stuck to the hip. Every day you and Tsireya spent together her heart filled with love for you.
She loved watching you teach young Na'vi children sign language. The way you were patient with them, the excitement on your face when they mastered a new word or sentence, and the passion you showed while teaching them new things.
You and Tsireya would spend any waking moment together. While Tsireya did her clan duties she would always ask you to tag along with her and of course, you didn't mind. Some days while her and Ronal would work on creating new healing herbs you would sit in the corner quietly, just observing, and sometimes Ronal would let you assist.
Tsireya had such an effect on you. The way your body tingles when she taps you to get your attention, the way your heart skips a beat when she signs your name gracefully, and you absolutely loved it when both of you would sneak out at night and stargaze under the beautiful moonlight.
Even though you had love for her, you never wanted to admit it out loud. You felt like Tsireya could do so much better than you. Multiple people wanted to be Tsireya's future mate which you knew. She had multiple potential suitors, hearing suitors.
Your deafness made you feel inadequate because you would never be able to hear her speak sweet nothings to you, if you ever decided to adopt children you wouldn't even be able to hear their giggles, and if they got hurt you couldnât speak comforting words to them. Just the thought of it that and more made you feel insecure that you couldn't provide Tsireya what she deserves in a significant other.
For the past few weeks, you and Tsireya haven't been spending as much time together, due to her teaching the Sully children the way of water. You wished you could see her more often but you knew she had a numerous amount of duties due to her being tsakarem.
Since Tsireya wasn't around as much you've been spending more time with Ronal, helping her with her duties which she didn't mind because she loved having you around.
'y/n go get Tsireya for me, she should still be at the beach teaching the Sully children' Ronal requested as she organized her collection of herbs.
You nodded in response, pushing yourself on your feet and began walking towards the beach. As you walked you were getting slight butterflies at the thought of seeing Tsireya. You haven't seen her all day so you were anticipating seeing her beautiful face and feeling her touch.
As your feet planted on the sand you begin to look around for Tsireya but you didn't see her, as you wander around the beach you ran into Ao'nung, 'Ao'nung, have you seen Tsireya? Your mother is asking for her' you signed to him hoping he could help you with your search for his sister
'Oh yeah her and that skxawng are over there' he signed with an annoyed look at the mention of Lo'ak
'Okay thank you' you begin to walk over to the place Aonung said Tsireya was.
As you walk to the other end of the beach you see Lo'ak and Tsireya sitting next to each other. Right when you were about to make your presence known and walk into their line of sight you saw Tsireya place her hands on Loâakâs chest.
When you saw the way Lo'ak looked at her, the way his eyes frantically tried to avert her gaze as he blushed made your face contort. The way Tsireya touched him didn't seem platonic, it seemed loving, the way you wanted her to touch you she touched him and it made you feel multiple emotions at once.
As you continued to watch them your stomach began to churn. Watching the person you love be with someone else in this way made you feel disgusted. You couldn't believe that she was into Lo'ak, she never said anything about him that gave the notion that she liked him so you were taken aback.
You could see Lo'ak begin to lean in and that just sent you over the top, you had enough. You turned your heels in the sand and stormed away. Knowing that they were kissing right now made you feel an agonizing pain in your heart, you felt so stupid for having feelings for Tsireya when you knew that her heart could belong to another.
You felt dumb for thinking someone, thinking Tsireya, the next heir of the TsahĂŹk title could ever love someone like you.
You didn't even walk back to Ronal's marui. You went to your marui instead and began to sulk, cry, whatever you needed to do so this melancholic feeling could subside.
â
You've been avoiding Tsireya for almost a week now. Every time you say her even attempt to walk in your direction you turned the other way. You couldn't even look at her without seeing an image of her and Lo'ak, the thought of her loving him made your skin crawl.
Currently, you and Kiri were talking while sitting at the pier, 'Kiri I love your shawl, your going to have to show me how to make one'
'Yes, of course, you can come by my mauri tomorrow and I'll show you'
As you and Kiri continued laughing and conversing your mind couldn't do anything except drift off to Tsireya. As much as you wanted to get her out of your head you couldn't and thinking of her not seeing you the way you saw her just made you feel sick to the stomach.
'y/n what's wrong? Are you okay?' Kiri noticed how your once happy expression turned downcast in a matter of seconds
'I saw Lo'ak and Tsireya together almost a week ago' As your hands moved your eyes held nothing but sadness, just talking about the situation made tears want to evade your eyes.
Kiri saw your expression and she was slightly confused, she didnât understand why you would be saddened by that, âWhy is that bothering you?â
âBecauseâŠâ you hesitated on signing the rest of the sentence. You felt like if you signed it, it would feel too real, âI like Tsireya but she doesnât like me backâ
It all clicked for Kiri, she noticed how youâve been avoiding Tsireya and it all made sense to her, you were lovesick, âoh y/n, Iâm so sorry come hereâ Kiri pulled you into a hug, rubbing your back in a comforting manner.
As Kiri comforted you, you could see someone walking in the distance. Once the person got closer you could see their face. It was Tsireya, the person you didnât want to see.
you pulled back from Kiriâs embrace and pushed yourself onto your feet, 'I'm sorry Kiri, I have to go' As you signed your eyes began glossy from unshed tears. If you stood there another minute you felt like you would breakdown completely so you just took off.
As Tsireya watched you scurry off it made her ears pin to her skull, she couldn't understand why you'd been avoiding her. She has missed you dearly. She missed hearing your laugh and watching your face light up with a smile. She couldnât understand why youâve been so distant all of a sudden so she was determined to get to the bottom of it.
She walked up to her Kiri and began to ask her questions, âDo you know whatâs wrong with y/n? Sheâs been avoiding me and I donât understand whyâ
âWell⊠I donât feel like itâs my place to sayâŠâ Kiri didnât want to out your feelings because she didnât know if Tsireya knew how you felt about her or not.
âPlease Kiri, I need your helpâ Kiri could hear the desperation in her voice, she knew that Tsireya really wanted to know how to fix it with you.
âAll Iâm going to say is talk to her. The reason sheâs avoiding can be fixed with honest and open conversationâ
âOkay, Iâll go talk to her, right now. Thank you Kiriâ Tsireya began to walk around the village with a determined look on her face, trying to find you so she could make this right.
â
You were sitting on the edge of your bed crying, wondering why you felt so upset about this. You knew that Tsireya could have feelings for another person but deep down you hoped to Eywa it was you, that she felt a burning desire for you.
As the tears flowed freely down your cheeks, you began to see a shadow of someone walking inside your marui. When Tsireya walked in she saw you frantically wiping your tears which made her feel a twinge of pain in her heart.
âWhy are you here?â
âBecause I havenât talked to you in almost a week, youâve been avoiding me and I want to know whyâ
You began shaking your head. You didnât want to tell her because you felt like it didnât matter. You figured there was no point in telling her your true feelings if she didnât like you back, âNo Tsireya, Iâm not telling youâ
Tsireya's face began to contort into a confused expression, âWhy not?â
âBecause it doesnât matter anymore Tsireyaâ
âWhy doesnât it matter? Tell me, I want to make this right, I want to know whatâs bothering youâ Tsireya placed her hands on your shoulder, gliding her thumb against your skin lightly.
Oh how you missed her touch, the way her hands felt against your skin made you want to melt into a puddle but all you could do is think about how that same hand was on Loâak, âStop Tsireyaâ you stand up abruptly and walk over to the other side of your mauri. You could feel all the sadness stir into another emotion, Anger.
âStop what?â
âTouching me, just stop okay?! Why donât you go and touch Loâak!â Your hands were beginning to move at the speed of light, the more you signed to her your heartbeat began to increase.
âTouch Loâak? What are you talking about?â
âI saw you and him at the end of the beach, you put your hands on his chest and then he leaned and⊠kissed youâ
ây/n wait thatâs not-â
âYou know I really thought you could like me, that you would see me the way I see you but itâs clear that you like him instead of me. I feel like such a skxawng for thinking you would want someone like me, someone who canât even give you what you need in a mateâ
From this moment there was no going back for you, you were starting to ramble and there was no possible way to take back any of your words. You didnât want her to find out that you liked her this way but it was too late.
âYou deserve someone who can listen to your problems. Someone who can vocally tell you words of love and affection, someone, who has the same abilities as you and I canât provide any of thatâ Your hands began to shake as you signed, sobs began to try and emerge from your throat but you tried your best to reduce them.
âI know you love another and I canât help but be upset, I canât provide you with the same things that he can and it makes me feel horribleâ
The only thing Tsireya could do is shake her head, the way she saw you talk about yourself saddened her. She feels dumb for not telling you her true feelings before. She felt like if she wouldâve admitted her fondness for you this whole thing wouldâve been avoided.
ây/n, I do not like Loâakâ
âYou donât?â
âNo, what you saw was me working with him on his breathing lessons and he interpreted it as flirting. When he leaned in attempting to kiss me I told him that my heart already belonged to someoneâ
Tsireya walked up to you and placed your hand on her chest, letting you feel her heartbeat.
As your hand made contact with her skin, you felt shivers run down your spine. The anger and sadness you felt in your heart were replaced with joy, the joy that your assumption about her liking Loâak was false.
âMy heart belongs to you, it always has. From the moment we met as children, I knew you were special and you are. I do not need to hear you vocally speak because you speak to me with your heart. I donât need to hear your words when I know they are genuine and kind. I donât need your words when just your touches and your presence is enough, all I need is you y/nâ
As you saw Tsireyaâs words, seeing how she felt about you made you become overwhelmed with emotion. Your lips began to tremble as you attempted to hold yourself together. This was the moment youâd been waiting on for years, to know that Tsireya loved you just like you loved her.
âYou are not inadequate because you canât hear like me, it only makes you unique from everyone else. The way you see the world is amazing. The way you care for Eywa, our clan, the young naâvi you teachâ Tsireya takes a small breath, feeling a tear fall down her cheek, âThe way you love and care for me speaks volumes to where you donât have you toâ
âI canât fathom living this life another second without having you by my sideâŠâ Tsireya reaches into her pouch that is around her waist and pulls out a beautiful necklace adorned with small iridescent seashells and delicate beads.
âI would love nothing more than to court youâ she smiles brightly, the same bright smile she gave you eight years ago when she introduced herself to you. She was still that kind and patient person you meet many years ago, she was the same person you fell in love with.
Your stomach immediately began doing backflips, it felt like butterflies were fluttering inside you. The thought of Tsireya courting you made your heart swell to an unreasonable amount, âI would love for you to court me, nothing would make me happier Tsireyaâ
Tsireya's tail began to swing excitedly behind her, she was filled with bliss that you agreed. As you noticed the movement of her tail it made you let out a small laugh. The same laugh that Tsireya missed, the laugh that could brighten up her day no matter the circumstances.
âCan you put the necklace on me?â
âOf course, I canâ
As you lifted your hair Tsireya placed the necklace around your neck with ease. You rubbed your fingertips against the smooth shell and all you could do is smile. You couldnât believe Tsireya just asked to court you, everything happened so fast but everything felt so right. You wouldnât want it any other way.
As Tsireya stood in front of you her oceanic eyes were staring at you in awe, she couldnât believe that she had someone as beautiful as you. She felt like the luckiest Naâvi on Pandora to have you.
To her, you were one in a million.
Tsireya gracefully moved her hands up to your face, gently caressing your cheek. Your breathing began to increase slightly, you were in anticipation about what was going to occur next.
Tsireya pulls you into her, pressing her lips gently on yours. As your lips collided you felt a warmth fill your chest.
The kiss was soft yet fiery.
You could almost taste Tsireyaâs desire for you on her lips, it made you feel amazing that you could make her this happy and that she felt loved by you.
When you and Tsireya finally broke the kiss you felt the need to gasp for air, you felt breathless yet you loved every second of what just occurred.
As you looked at Tsireya her cheeks were painted bright red, you could tell she loved the kiss just as much as you, âI see you y/n, Iâll forever see youâ
âI see you, my heart will forever belong to youâ

I hope you enjoyedđ!

Tsireya couldn't focus on the task as she watched you put your hands on Lo'akâs chest as you taught him how to hold his breath longer.
Neteyam gave up on trying to focus Tsireyaâs attention and moved over to where Rotxo was teaching Kiri. She continued watching as she bit down on her bottom lip and watched you and Loâak talk, her ears flickered when your sweet laughter filled the air.
Tsireya didnât expect you to hit it off with him so well since you were always quiet and stayed to yourself so seeing you laughing up a storm with him was weird to her.
It made her feel an emotion she never felt before because itâs always been just you and her. Before she had nothing to worry about, many people showed interest in you even after the two of you started dating but you always turned them down. âIâm sure whatever he just said ainât that funny,â she thought to herself rolling her eyes, almost tempted to interrupt the two of you but decided to just walk away so she wouldnât say something rude.Â
Going on a walk really made Tsireya clear her mind on the situation, she had no reason to be jealous because youâd never leave her for someone else. Loâak and you were just two friends getting to know each other and nothing more would happen between the two of you. Soon things will go back to normal where you normally stick to her side most of the time and she will have you all to herself.Â
Time has passed since then and the Sullyâs have learned the way of the people and passed their iknimayaâs. The friendship between you and Loâak became more robust than ever and you spent every day with him which drove Tsireya crazy.
âCome on Reya, thereâs nothing going on between me and Loâak!â You voiced as you looked to where she stood. âDonât you trust me?â You questioned.Â
âI trust you but not him, heâs looking for something more, [Name],â she fired out as she furrowed her eyebrow bones together. Her tone had you squeezing your thighs together to give your core the attention it needed. You had never seen her this mad before, she was always so sweet.Â
Although her tone was making you feel aroused, you still didnât like how she was acting. You and Loâak were just friends, she had nothing to worry about. âHow would you know he wants something more!â You shoot back as you watch Tsireyaâs eyes widen.Â
She felt a bit hurt that you couldnât just trust her intuition, she knows Loâakâs intentions are more than he let on. âHow can you not see it?â She questioned. âWhen the whole group is together and there are other places open to sitting, he sits right next to you, the way heâd act as if it was a mistake that his hand happens to brush against yours.â She continued on as she mentioned how heâs always looking at you when no one is looking.
Tsireya could feel the tears filling her eyes but she blinked them back. She couldnât see a future without you and didnât want to experience losing you. Your gaze softens when you see her fight back tears and slowly walk over to her taking her hands into yours, rubbing the back of her palm softly. âIf you want me to stop talking to Loâak, I wonât and will keep my distance.â you offer letting out a breath you didnât realize you were holding in.Â
âI think I have a better idea, you donât have to stop talking to him, he just needs to know youâre mine,â Tsireya smirks as she starts to fondle with the strings of her tewng and once she loosens it, she discards it to the side. âI want you to lay down on your back, fâme.â She demands and a flustered smile reaches your face as you do what you were told.Â
Tsireya positioned herself with her knees on either side of your head, her pretty pussy completely exposed to you. Your soft hands wrapped around her thighs and lowered her dripping pussy to your lips. Tsireya looked down at the sight below her, it made her feel happy that she was the only one whom she could do this with, it made her almost want to come right there. You rub your thighs together to give some attention to your core as you smell her sweet arousal.Â
âStay like that fâme, baby,â you mumbled against her inner thigh. She takes a deep breath as she nods her head in response, not a second longer you tug her down right onto your mouth.Â
âShit,â she moaned out. She couldnât help herself but grind her hips, fucking herself on your tongue as her hands traveled to her breasts, kneading them as she continued to ride your face. You moan against her clit, sending vibrations through her entire body.Â
âYouâre making me feel so goodâŠâ she choked out as she pressed closer to your face and continued to fuck herself on your tongue.Â
Your tongue moved from her pussy and pulled her clit into your mouth, suckling on it greedily, making circles around it with your tongue, flickering it every so often. She threw her head back as she let out a pornographic moan.Â
âFuck, [Name]!â she cried out. Her eyes clenched closed as her hips buckled faster and faster, the coil in her stomach so close to snapping as her toes curled. âIâm so fucking close, please make me cumâŠâ she mewled as her eyes focused on you as you continued suckling on her clit, you slide two fingers into her dripping pussy. She began to fuck herself onto your fingers as she lets out soft but loud moans that could be heard by anyone that walked by.
With another flick to her bud, the coil in her stomach snaps as her body slumps, and her legs tremble as she releases all over your mouth and fingers. Your tongue laps up her sweet juices as she catches her breath. Your moan sends another vibration through her body, her oversensitive clit throbs. âI forgot how good you taste,â you said as she removed herself from on top of you, letting out a low chuckle, and fixed herself to lay her head on your chest.Â
âI missed this,â Tsireya murmured softly as you rubbed her arm. âYou have no reason to get jealous, Iâm only yours just as youâre all mine.â You say as you use your index finger to motion her head to look up at you. âNo one can get in between that, do you hear me?â You questioned as a smile spread across your face and she nodded her head in agreement as she snuggled in closer to you as you kissed her forehead.

Hey saw tou were open!!
Could you do a ronal x platonic female reader, who is having her first mother's day as a new mom. She goes to ronal and explains the earth holiday. As part of her tradition she gives ronal a mother's day gift and ronal gets to see cute teeny tiny human baby!
Hellooooooo~!! So when I read this one, I knew just where to put it! Enjoy~!!
Irayo pt1
-------------
Irayo: Best mama's around!
Ronal kept herself busy these past few days. More busy than usual. Anything to distract the lingering worry of her friend, Irayo. It has been 8 days now, Ronal counted since her last visit. Not just ronal who worries, but her daughter young tsireya is now questioning where her auntie is. Her, and slowly the villagers begin to worry.Â
Not to make her worries any better, Ronal has no way to communicate with Irayo. She remembers clearly, the last time she was her friend. Everything was fine that day, irayo behaved normal, acted as normal as she could be. Made another set of friendship bracelets, helped take care of tsireya, did her part in the village. Everything was normal.Â
So why now is she gone? Are the sky demons preventing her from returning? Did they deem her useless now? Is she alright?Â
So many questions linger in Ronal's mind. Anything she does, her worries are not calmed down. If by day 10 irayo does not return, ronal can only fear the worse.Â
âA little bit dramatic, don't you think?â Irayo asks as she plays patty cake with little tsireya. Ronal was too busy hugging her from the side, saying how worried she was and what possible routes irayo was going through.Â
âNot dramatic, only worried,â Ronal says, a bit stubbornly.Â
Irayo can only laugh at the tsahikâs antics.Â
âWhat happened? Why were you gone for many days?â Ronal finally asks. Needing to know if whatever happened, that irayo was alright.Â
âI am fine, its just I wasnt feeling well and I had to be examined to find out what was wrongâ irayo answers. This made Ronal more worried. âAnd? Are you well? Why didnt you come to me? I could have helped youâ ronal gently scolded. Irayo only shook her and answered in her own way.Â
She smiled and grabbed Ronal by the hands, guiding them to her belly.Â
âI am pregnantâÂ
Those three words echoed in ronalâs head, slowing taking in what the human just said. Her eyes were wide, almost unbelieving what she said.Â
Irayo laughed at Ronalâs reaction. Tsireya laughs as well even though she doesn't know why.Â
âAnd who is the fool who believes he is worthy of you?âÂ
Word spread of Irayoâs return and the news of her pregnancy, the people went a bit wild. Welcoming her back, many gave her gently hugs, being mindful of her belly. Even though irayo said she was only 2 weeks pregnant, none took it lightly. Pregnancy at an early stage, any stage really, is the most important. Anything can happen.Â
So the villagers, and by extension ronal and tonowari, made sure irayo only did safe, light tasks. Some had given her many things for her baby when its born. Children would follow irayo and ask her so many questions, like what is the difference between a naâvi baby and a human baby. Will the baby be blue or a different color? Small or big? Cute or ugly?Â
So many things and Irayo was just happy to resume it all. Even more now that soon, her little one will get to experience the same excitement as she does. Her stage is still early, but no doubt her motherly instincts kicked in.Â
As time goes on, ronal allowed irayo to take care of tsireya more often, to practice in how to take care of a baby. Would talk about her experiences in taking care of an infant and so on. However Ronal does not know how much of the information will be useful to her friend. As she does not know how different a human baby is to a naâvi baby.Â
And as the months go by, ronal witnesses irayoâs belly growing. While she may not fully show it, Ronal is secretly excited for the baby to arrive. One day, when Irayo was 4 months pregnant, she asked a sudden question.Â
âWould you like to feel the baby?âÂ
This question surprised ronal.Â
In naâvi customs, pregnant females only allow their mates or really close family members to touch their bellies.
Is it the same for humans?Â
âCan IâŠ?â Ronal asks hesitantly.Â
Irayo nods and gently places ronalâs bigger hands onto her growing belly.Â
âThe baby is still small, but in future months, they will move and might even kick,â irayo explains. Being still, Ronal can sense a small heart beat. From her experience, this small heart beat sounds healthy.Â
âYou baby is strong,â she comments. Irayo giggles, she doesn't doubt ronal. She can feel her baby.Â
âBaby?â little tsireya echos the word as she waddles over to the two mothers. Practicing how to mother with the little one, irayo feels she is ready. But slight doubt still lingers in her.Â
Playing with the child's hair, Irayo confesses her inner struggles.Â
âRonalâŠdo you think I will be a good mother?â she asks.Â
Ronal looks at her friend, a sad smile on the human's face. âOf course you will be. Perhaps not perfect, but a good mother. I have seen you around my child, with the villagers' children. Why think you will not be?âÂ
âI don't know, maybe it is just my mind playing games. I see how you raise tsireya, when she was born to now. You are wonderful to her. You have far more experience than I. the other women, I see how they handle their babies. I fear that whatever I will try, it won't be enough. That maybe I will fail and-âÂ
Ronal places her hands gently on irayoâs cheek, making her look at her.Â
âYou will be a wonderful mother to your baby. Anything you will do, shall do, will be seen as perfection to your baby because it will be all that they know. I am not perfect irayo, no one else. I make my own mistakes, but we learn and so will youâÂ
âLearn!â tsireya repeated.Â
Both ladies look down at the little girl with soft smiles.Â
Irayo leans a bit to kiss tsireyaâs head.Â
âAt least my baby will have someone to look up toâ
9 months had come to completion. Ronal wasnt able to see irayo for a while. Irayo explained she will need to be under constant supervision since the due date was nearing. Ronal understood, but the inner fears and anxiety creeps every night.Â
Will irayo be alright? Will the birth be safe? Will the baby be healthy?Â
So many questions, ronal even suggested she helps to deliver the baby. Willing to push aside her own personal views of the sky demons for the sake of her friend. While irayo was happy, she couldn't.Â
And it wasn't for another 3 months that finally, irayo returned. This time she wasn't alone.Â
She came to the village with her baby.Â
Everyone was so ecstatic!Â
They all surrounded her and her baby. Welcoming her back and welcoming the baby as well. Her baby was so cute! Mothers praised the little one, seeing how healthy the baby looked. And many more for being curious, it was the first time they have seen a human baby! Who knew they could be adorable?Â
However the crowd was quickly disbursed by the presence of ronald and tonowari with tsireya in her fatherâs arms.Â
Ronal of course was the first to hug irayo, letting out a long relieved sigh.Â
âThank Eywa you have returnedâ she whispers. Looking at irayo, she didnt know if it was the sun, or something else but the human had a natural glow in her physic. That motherly glow all females have after birth. It made irayo look stunning.Â
âI am happy to be back,â irayo says.Â
Soft babbles were heard, in the small bassinet was the human baby.Â
Leaning down, ronal took a good look at the human baby.Â
âHas your eyesâŠâ she comments.Â
The baby stared at ronal, no fear, only fascination.Â
âWould you like to carry my baby?â Irayo asks, knowing ronal wants to. Without needing to answer, ronal carefully and gently holds the baby into her arms.Â
âBaby!â tsireya squeals.Â
Tonowari chuckles, âyes meâite, it is a baby. We must be careful and be gentleïżœïżœ he says, tsireya nodding.Â
âYour baby is so beautifulâŠoh Eywa, maybe you bless this baby with a great life and a wonderful futureâ ronal prays.Â
Tonowari gestures irayo to a certain direction, âcome, there is much to talk aboutâ
Tsireya was entertaining the baby, showing many toys and singing little songs. Never keeping her eyes away from her new friend.Â
Irayo sits beside ronal, âI have a gift for you~â she teases.Â
âI wonder what it could beâÂ
Already knowing what it is.Â
As predicted, irayo brought out 4 bracelets, ânew BFFâs bands!â irayo says happily.Â
Carefully tying it around ronalâs wrist, doing the same for herself, tsireya and her baby. âWe shall commemorate this day as our first motherâs day!â she goes on.Â
Ronal looks at her curiously.Â
âMotherâs day? What is that?âÂ
âMotherâs day is a human tradition. Once a year on a special day, we celebrate our mothers. Giving them gifts, a day to relax, and appreciating them overall. So, this is my gift to you and to myself. It is not often celebrated here with my co-workers but at least I can celebrate it with you!â irayo happily answers.Â
Looking down at her new bracelet, tracing over the beads and sea glass, she likes it.Â
âGifts huhâŠwell then, I have a gift for you as wellâ ronal says.Â
This makes irayo get closer, already excited.Â
âWhat is it?â irayo answers. Ronal answers deadpanned.Â
âI am pregnantâÂ
NGL I got carried away but I like it! So, until next time! See ya!

HATE YOU, LOVE YOU. aonung x fem! r
[ full masterlist ]
IN WHICH... Aonung has no future mate; as a last resort, he is set to marry the eldest Sully daughter. The only problem is that their hatred for each other runs deep.
Notes: Omatikaya! Sully! Reader, somewhat enemies to lovers (I tried), swearing, age isnât mentioned but aonung + you are like mid/late teens, no use of y/n, oldest sister (same age as aonung but kiri and tuk and maybe loâak are younger than you), one bed trope, arranged marriage
â

You didn't like Aonung from the start. He was rude, egotistical, and overall an entirely unpleasant person to be around.
He could say the same about you. He had always had it out for you from day one. The moment you arrived with your family, Aonung had disliked you the most out of the bunch.
He always found Kiri strange and Loâak and Neteyam insufferable but you were the bane of his existence. He almost despised you. The way you walked, talked, and acted released an anger inside of him that felt foreign.
He watched as you strutted around in beautifully beaded loincloths, smiling at the boys who stumbled past you with awestruck expressions. They loved you, he did not.
"Are you sure it's not just jealousy?" Roxto uttered as Aonung's ears folded back at the mere sight of you.
Aonung scoffed, rolling his eyes. "Me? Jealous of her? No way." He scrunched up his nose. "She's a stupid tree hugger." Roxto's eyes darted from Aonung to stare at you. You were sending Aonung an angry glare after accidentally overhearing him.
"A tree hugger, Aonung? At least I don't accidentally swallow sea water every five minutes." You hissed, your thin tail swishing in fury. Aonung returned your glower. "Don't forget how I can easily beat you to a pulp."
Aonung especially hated how you always picked fights. You were nothing like Kiri and Neteyam, who were calm and tried to avoid conflict for their own good. Aonung theorised Lo'ak got his fighting spirit from you. Yet, as shameful as it was to admit, Aonung also knew you could and would beat him in every brawl. Your sharp tongue and quick reflexes always managed to cut him down to size every time.
You lifted a brow as you watched Aonung flex his hands to suppress his frustration at your words.
"You talk like a big boy, but we both know how that'll end." You poke his exposed chest, ears flicking in annoyance. You tilted your head, almost daring him to make another move.
He clenched his jaw, tongue running over his teeth. He knew he should have walked off the moment you approached him, but he didn't. He was regretting it now. You had a spark in your eyes, a telltale sign of you preparing to beat him into the ground.
"Is that a threat, skxawng?" Aonung stepped closer, staring down at you.
"Yeah, you scared?" You retorted with a smirk as your tail flicked in amusement.
Aonung sneered at you. The sight of your lips curved into a smirk did something to him. His pulse quickened, and he couldn't tell if it was because you made him angry or because your pretty face was so close to his.
"As if." Aonung jeered, quickly turning around. You watched him leave, disappointed he hadn't put up a bigger fight. Arguing with Aonung and seeing his shocked face at your quick insults were the highlight of your day.
âY/N!â You heard Kiri call out for you. You glanced over your shoulder, waving at your sister. âFather is looking for you. I think itâs urgent.â You sighed, ears flopping.
âComing.â You slowly drawled. The warm sand shifted under your feet as you turned. You fell into step with its Kiri, feeling her curious gaze burn into you.
âWhat were you two arguing about this time?â Kiri questioned. She could tell by the aggravated look on your face that you had recently spoken to Aonung.
âHeâs an idiot.â You muttered, baring your fangs, âI donât know how anyone can stand him.â
Kiri hummed, her lips curving into a teasing smile. âAnd yet you always find a way to talk to him.â You shot her a glare in response.
You saw your father, Jake Sully, standing at the entrance of your family pod, pacing back and forth. He lifted his head, looking a little more relieved to see you.
âFather.â You greeted him, looking around curiously. Your mother, Neytiri, stood in the corner of the pod but there was no sign of your two brothers and Tuk. You tilted your head.
âGood luck.â Kiri whispered in your ear. You whipped your head to face her, eyes wide.
âWhat?â You whispered, panic growing in your chest. Why was Kiri wishing you luck? Had you done something to anger your parents? They had grown used to your squabbles with Aonung to the point where they looked past it.
But you had not punched him, not gotten into any impulsive fights, or caused any trouble. So what could you have possible done?
Your racing thoughts were cut short when Tonowari cleared his throat. Your gaze shifted from him to his wife, Ronal, who stood beside him with her usual calm demeanour. It was Aonung, however, who caught your attention. He stood on the sidelines, equally as confused. Your lips immediately curled into an unimpressed sneer. He mirrored your look, folding his arms over his chest.
The silent exchange of glares were your normal routine now.
Tonowari clearing his throat snapped the two of you back to reality. He shared a brief look with Jake before ushering both you and his son inside the pod. Jake, Neytiri, and Ronal all stood in front of you while Tonowari remained behind, ensuring neither you nor Aonung had the faintest idea of making a run for it.
You and Aonung stood side by side, shoulders brushing. You would have immediately stepped away if it wasnât for Tonowari keeping you firmly in place. His hand finally slipped off your shoulder as he walked to join Jake, Neytiri, and his mate.
You watched the four of them carefully, eyes narrowed.
âAonung.â Tonowari addressed his son first, âYou have yet to find a mate.â You turned your head to suppress your snickers.
âI donât think he ever will.â You uttered, rolling your eyes. âAnd I donât think I can help with whatever⊠love problems heâs dealing with.â
âHush, daughter.â Neytiri snapped, âThis is no joking matter.â Your ears straightened up at her harsh tone. She rarely ever spoke to you like that.
Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Aonung lower his head to hide his mocking grin. Though, he received the same treatment.
âDo not smile, Aonung!â Ronal exclaimed.
You and Aonung locked eyes, wondering what you both had done to end up here. Your tail nervously swished and it took immense control to still it.
âWe have been discovering this matter for weeks now. Jake Sully has made it clear that he has no intention of leaving so suddenly.â Tonowari finally spoke up again. âThis decision has been carefully considered and, as a last resort, we must take it.â
Your stomach dropped as Tonowariâs gaze landed on you. It quickly flickered to Aonung, who immediately stiffened.
âY/N.â Jake stepped forward. You tensed, feeling lightheaded all of a sudden. Your fatherâs expression was firm and you could tell he wasnât exactly thrilled about the decision Tonowari was referring to. âYour mother and I have discussed it at lengths and we do not want to pressure you into such things but it must be done. For the good of both the Metkayina clan and our family, we have agreed that you two will become a mated pair.â
Your ears loudly ring as your heart almost came to a stop. You and Aonung? A mated pair? You could barely stand being in a five metre radius of each other. How could you be expected to share such proximity?
âHim?!â You exclaimed, pointing a finger at Aonung. âCould you not have chosen anybody else?!â
âFather, Mother, I cannot marry this tree hugger! She will kill me in my sleep!â Aonung shoved you away.
âYou will learn to get along.â Ronalâs calm voice pierced the chaos.
âBut I hate him!â You shouted, ears pinning against your head.
âAnd I hate her!â Aonung added, his eyes pleading for his parents to reconsider their choice.
âAnd thatâs the way itâs meant to be!â You both screamed in unison.
Jake raised an eyebrow. âWell, based on that little in-sync thing you two have going on, you should get along just fine.â
Ronal shooed the two of you away so they could discuss private matters. You gladly left, relieved to be free of the suffocating atmosphere.
âThis is all your fault.â Aonung hissed as he passed you. You loudly scoffed, reaching out a hand to tug on his tail.
âMy fault? Itâs your fault that you donât have a mate! Now I have to consider a future with you of all people!â You pushed him aside, your slim tail slapping his leg to prove your point.
âWell, maybe if you didnât fool my family into thinking youâre some kind of prissy princess then we wouldnât be in this situation!â Aonung fired back.
âOh, look at you. Using big words now. As if youâre any better. You treat other girls decently but when it comes to you, you look like you wanna drown me!â
You heard a quiet hiss slip past Aonungâs slips. âThatâs putting it kindly. The things Iâd actually do to you are much worse.â
You paused, looking over your shoulder with a disgusted face. Aonung immediately realized his mistake. âThat sounded a little more sexual than I intended.â He muttered, âBut you get my point!â
âI donât speak buffoon, sorry.â
âDid you know about this?â He grasped your wrist, pulling you back. You groaned, turning so fast your braided hair almost hit you in the face.
âYou think Iâd be this angry if I knew? If I knew about the arrangement, I would have been long gone before they announced it to us! Now let go.â You attempted to pry your arm from out of Aonungâs grip but he didnât falter. âI said let go, jerk!â Out of instinct, you slapped his face. Hard.
His grasp loosened and you were able to free your arm. âWeirdo.â You whispered under your breath as you stormed away. You let Aonung a fuming mess as he held a hand over his cheek. It was turning red from your harsh slap.
Aonung bared his teeth. You had slapped him. Out of everybody you couldâve have hit, you chose him. He watched your retreating figure, teeth clenched out of annoyance yet a blush still spread over his cheeks.
You made the mistake of telling Tsireya after not being able to find Kiri to confide in. Tsireya then told her Metkayina friends who shamelessly spread the gossip. After that, the word of your betrothal spread quickly. Aonung barely had time to return to his own friends before they patted him on the back and laughed.
âYou tamed the wild Sully girl!â One exclaimed. Aonung deeply frowned.
âItâs not like I want her to be my mate anyway.â He grumbled. Both you and Aonung were stubborn and hard-headed, preferring to do tasks your own way instead of asking for help. Perhaps that was why the two of you always clashed; because you were too similar for your own good.
You didnât show your face for the rest of the day. You were stuck in your familyâs pod, arguing with your father and trying to change his mind. Your attempts were fruitless.
âIâm going for a walk.â You scoffed, quickly walking away. Nobody tried to stop you. Kiri called out your name but Neytiri gently hushed her.
âLet her clear her mind.â Neytiri uttered.
You wandered along the sandy shore of a nearby beach, tail lashing in fury and kicking up sand as your frustration bubbled up. You raked a hand through your long hair, the village lights getting fainter the further you walked. You picked up a rock, angrily hurling it into the cold ocean.
âGreat, now youâre destroying our beaches. That was a sacred rock, you know.â Aonungâs presence behind you only made things worse.
You glared at him. âCut the bullshit.â You kicked up a flurry of sand at him.
âIâm not joking. Maybe if you retrieve the rock, my parents will call off the deal.â Aonung watched in amusement as you actually slipped into the water, disappearing below the surface. You returned a moment later, the wet rock in your hand. Beads of water trickled down your exposed skin and your hair stuck uncomfortably to your face.
âHere.â You dropped the rock on his foot, grinning as he jumped.
âOw! That hurt!â
âI know. It was supposed to.â
Aonung let out an exasperated sigh. He crossed his arms over his chest, his usual sign of annoyance. âYou arenât special, you know.â He muttered. You resisted the urge to roll your eyes at his words. His biting remarks meant nothing to you.
âOh, what a shocking revelation. How did you come to such a conclusion?â
Confusion clouded Aonungâs face before he shook his head. âAnd you speak weirdly.â
âNo. Youâre just dumb.â
Aonung clicked his tongue. âIâm trying to be nice and youâre dropping rocks on me.â
âIf that was you being nice, Iâll pass.â
The constant bickering reminded Aonung that no matter how hard the both of you tried, you just couldnât see eye to eye.
There was a moment of silence. Aonung slowly shifted to stand beside you, keeping a respectable distance but close enough to see you out of the corner of his eye.
You were pretty, especially in the moonlight. The moon bathed your face in a soft glow, your freckles shining like the constellations spread out across the starry sky. Aonungâs gaze subtly travelled to the sharp curve of your jaw and the way your head was proudly tilted. Your long braids swayed in the gentle breeze.
Aonung glanced up at the dark sky, eyes trailing over the glittering stars before flickering back to your face. And yet, no star shone as brightly as the freckles dotting your cheeks.
Your beauty was infuriating. How could someone so alluring be so argumentative?
Realising he had been staring for far too long, Aonung quickly refocused on gaze on the sand below.
âYou were staring.â You flatly said, ears tilting in amusement.
Aonung merely scoffed in reply, crossing his arms defensively. âIn your dreams.â
The sound of the waves softly crashing against the shore was comforting as you slowly kneeled down. The usual harshness in your doe eyes was replaced with something gentle as you became suddenly enamoured by the seashells at your feet.
âHow do you feel about the arrangement?â Aonung joined you on the ground with a heavy sigh. He leaned back, his arms supporting him, and stretched out his legs. You peered through your lashes, staring at him, before softly scoffing.
âBullshit.â You whispered. âYou should already have a mate by now. Why do you not?â
Aonung shrugged. âI donât want anyone here. None of the girls appeal to me. They will simply love me to elevate their status.â
âYouâre getting serious. Using big words.â For the first time in history, you smiled at Aonung. It was barely visible, the corners of your mouth barely twitched, but he saw it.
âI want someone who likes me for me. Who doesnât care about my status.â Aonungâs hand sifted through the grains of sand before he glanced over to see what you were doing. He was taken aback when he locked eyes with you. You were still staring at him while fiddling with an intricate shell.
âHow cute.â You replied. Aonung watched as you stood up, brushing the sand off your skin. âI must go now. My family will be wondering where I am.â
You didnât bother saying good-bye to Aonung. The words would have felt bitter in your mouth. Aonung let you leave. He picked up the shell you had left behind, twirling it around in his hands.
The truce between you and Aonung didnât last long. By the next day, you were back to your usual routine; arguing nonstop until one of you surrendered.
It was the afternoon when you were finally free of Aonung. You watched Ronal as she worked, occasionally pausing to explain steps to you. An important job of being Tsahik was healing and since Neteyam was always the first in line, you had never bothered to learn. You were second in line and confident you would not have to take over for Neteyam. You were organising herb leaves when Aonung stepped into the hut, a shallow jagged cut running across his shoulder. You halted your actions.
âY/N.â Ronal beckoned you over with a simple call of your name. She instructed you to hold Aonungâs shoulder down but the moment your cold hands brushed against his skin, he hissed.
âI donât want her touching me!â Aonung exclaimed, pushing your hands away.
âYou two will be doing a lot more than touching when you are mated.â Ronal huffed, lightly slapping her son for his petty behaviour.
Aonung turned to give Ronal a horrified stare. âMother!â He shouted. âYou know I would never do such actions with a tree hugger!â
You loudly clicked his tongue, delivering a sharp jab to his cut. He yelped in pain. âJerk.â You grumbled.
âSpoiled brat.â Aonung quickly replied.
You opened your mouth to retort but you were quickly silenced by Ronal. âEnough!â The Tsahik exclaimed, glaring at the both of you. âI do not care how you two get along but the fate of this clan is in your hands. Do not disappoint me.â
âSheâs not even Metkayina.â Aonung mumbled, huffing. He winced as Ronal disinfected the cut on his shoulder.
âMetkayina or not, it has been decided. You will accept it.â She sent a firm look your way, âBoth of you.â She quickly wrapped Aonungâs wound. âYou are dismissed.â She said, turning to you. âAonung, spend time with her. I do not need your petty rivalry getting in the way.â
Aonung frowned but he didnât not have the courage to defy his mother. He quickly grabbed your wrist, pulling you out of the healing hut. âWhere do you wanna go?â He muttered, uninterested.
You kicked his shin. âI donât know. Youâre the one dragging me.â Aonung didnât reply. He simply tugged you towards whatever destination he had chosen in his mind and you merely followed him. âIâm really hoping youâre not a serial killer now.â You voiced as you followed him through the thick vegetation.
âI would have killed you first if I was.â
You rolled your eyes at his response but you couldnât muffle your small laugh. At least he got your sense of humor. Aonungâs ears twitched at the sound of your light giggle, suddenly wishing he had heard it sooner. Maybe he would have stopped targeting you if he knew your laugh was so pretty.
He pushed past the last leaf to reveal an area of the beach you had never seen. You tilted your head, intrigued by the warm sand and the light of the sun reflecting off the clear water. Aonung finally let go of your wrist but you found yourself missing his touch more than you despised it. You pushed the thought to the back of your mind.
âIâve never seen this area before.â You uttered, stepping forward. There were more seashells littering the ground and you eagerly crouched to glance at them. Aonung pretended not to pay you much attention as he stepped into the water, letting the ocean lap as his warm skin. He watched you from the corner of his eye as you grinned down at the shell you were holding.
âYou like shells?â Aonung questioned, wondering why such a thing could make you look so happy. You lifted your head, nodding. You had never seen such things in the forest. It was all leaves, trees, and dirt. The sea shells were a delicate difference.
âI used to like acorns.â You said, showing Aonung a necklace that had a large acorn nut hanging over your chest. Aonungâs lips pulled into a thin line as he bit back a bitter comment.
âStrange.â Was all he said before turning his head. Your interest in acorns and shells was⊠odd, yet it was also a little cute to see your eyes sparkle over such simple trinkets. Aonung stiffened at his thoughts, quickly shaking his head to get rid of them. He looked back a moment later to find you gone.
He assumed you must have run off when he wasnât paying attention but he felt something grasp his ankle. He didnât have time to react before he was pulled down. When he swiftly resurfaced, he heard your quiet snickers.
âThat was not very nice.â He groaned, taking a hand through his now wet hair. You merely shrugged, showing that you didnât regret it one bit.
âPayback for the time you dragged me around with your ilu.â
Ah, Aonung had forgotten about that.
You lay on your stomach in the shallow water, body pressed up against the sand. The water engulfed you while your head perched above the surface, perfectly dry now.
As Aonung attempted to wring the water out of his hair, his gaze suddenly flickered to your face. He found himself noticing things he hadnât before, like how the four most obvious freckles on the side of your face formed a square and the way a few strands of curled hair framed your face. He felt his breath hitch and he subconsciously took a step back.
âEw, were you checking me out?â Of course, you had to ruin the moment with a loud scoff.
âAs if.â Aonung growled, kicking droplets of water your way. In response, you grabbed a handful of wet sand, flinging it at his chest. You mockingly poked out your tongue at him, a gesture he had seen Kiri do often. Ah, so she got it from you.
âYouâre making it very hard to be nice.â Aonung hissed. You almost laughed. Him? Being nice? The word nice wasnât in his vocabulary.
âIf thatâs you being nice, Iâd hate to see what mean looks like.â You teased. Aonung angrily huffed.
âThe deal between our families isnât off.â He grumbled, âSo, weâre stuck together. You could at least try!â
âHm. Thatâs the smartest thing youâve said all day.â
Aonung dunked your face into the water as retaliation. You gasped, spitting out a mouthful of water. âJerk!â You screamed at him.
âSee! You arenât even trying to be nice!â
âThatâs because you shoved my head into the water, dumbass!â
Aonung sat himself beside you, a little too close for comfort. âPersonally, I donât want to be stuck with an angry mate.â His gaze raked over you. âMy mother said compliments always work. So, uh⊠I like your hair?â His statement came out as more of a question. You stared at him, unimpressed. You quietly sighed.
âFine.â You groaned. Your eyes flickered to him, searching for something to compliment him on. âI⊠umâŠâ You clicked your tongue before pressing your lips into a thin line. Finally, you spoke up again. âI like your eyes.â You choked out.
âWhat do you like about my eyes?â
âThatâs not fair. You didnât describe why you like my hair.â
âI like it because itâs bouncy and no matter what you do with it, itâs always styled perfectly.â
You suppressed the urge to snarl at him. âYour eyes are blue.â You muttered, âI like blue. They are⊠different from the yellow eyes the Omatikaya possess. The blue matches the ocean and I like the ocean.â
You saw Aonungâs lips curve into a teasing smile. âSee? That wasnât so hard.â
âI feel like Iâm going to be sick.â
You returned to your family pod tired. Trying to see eye to eye with Aonung was far more exhausting than anyone let on. It wasnât only your personalities that clashed. He seemed to hate everything you loved.
You liked seashells. He did not.
You liked heights. He did not.
You liked a specific type of fruit. He despised it.
You were ready to collapse on your mattress but you halted when you saw your parents packing your things. âUh⊠whatâs going on?â Your asked, tail lashing. Neytiri simply smiled at you.
âI know this sudden⊠arrangement is hard on you, daughter. Kiri has offered to stay the night with you in a separate pod so you can gather your thoughts.â Your bag was shoved into your arms. You narrowed your eyes, a little suspicious, but you were too tired to argue.
âOkay.â You slowly said. âAs long as I have somewhere to sleep, I donât care.â
âItâs the one at the end of the village. Hurry now.â Neytiri quickly ushered you away. You sighed, lugging yourself towards the pod that sat a little isolated from the rest of the village.
âKiri, I donât see how this is supposed to help.â You groaned as you walked in, hearing loud rustling. Kiri must have arrived before you. But your gaze landed on someone who was definitely not Kiri.
âYouâre not Tsireya.â Aonung sneered.
âAnd youâre not Kiri. What the fuck did you do this time?â You hissed.
âTsireya told me she wanted a sleepover⊠I had to agree because I owed her a favor.â
âMy mother told me Kiri would be sharing the pod with me.â
Suddenly, it clicked. The two of you had been tricked by your own family. You were thinking of storming back into the village but your mother wouldnât be very pleased. You were already on thin ice for punching a Metkayina boy last week.
Begrudgingly, you dropped your heavy bag. âItâs only one night with you.â You muttered but it was more to reassure yourself. You looked at the only bed in the middle of the claustrophobic room. âI call dibs on the bed.â You jumped on it before Aonung could retort.
âWell, Iâm not sleeping on the floor.â He tried to push you off but you stood your ground.
âNeither am I.â You seethed. You glared at each other before Aonung scoffed. You grabbed a pillow, dividing the already small bed into two smaller sections. âYou stay on your side and Iâll stay on mine.â
âFine by me. As if Iâd willingly want to be close to you.â He rolled his eyes in that infuriating way he always did when he thought he had the upper hand.
You shot him a scathing look before slipping under the covers, lingering on the far edge of the mattress as though it might save you from the awkward proximity. Aonung climbed in on the opposite side, keeping as much distance as possible. It was already night, the moonlight shining through the cracks of the fabric covering the entrance. You and Aonung fell into an uncomfortable silence, broken only by the sound of the ocean waves gently lapping against the shore outside.
You closed your eyes, ignoring the growing tension. You fell into a peaceful slumber, your chest slowly rising up and down as your dreams were filled with the familiar sight of the forest.
The next time you opened your tired eyes, it was morning. You slowly blinked before noticing a warmth around you. You shifted, the feeling of something firm against your forehead. You froze, almost letting out a shrill scream. You were pressed against Aonung as he gently rocked you, still fast asleep. His arm was draped over your waist, keeping you close, while his tail wrapped itself securely around your leg.
You attempted to wriggle free to avoid an awkward conversation when he awoke but his arm pulled you closer. âIâm not a teddy bear, you buffering buffoon!â You slapped his shoulder. He stirred, eyelids slowly fluttering open. The first thing he saw was your angry face. His grasp on you loosened yet he didnât immediately withdraw like you expected.
âI told you to stay on your side!â You exclaimed, punching his chest. The hit did nothing to harm him. If anything, it only amused him.
âI did!â He fired back, âYouâre the one who turned around and attached yourself onto me!â
âI did not!â
âDid so!â
Accusations flew from both of your mouths and yet you were still pressed closely against each other. âUgh! Get away from me!â You finally pushed him away, rolling to climb out of the bed. But you miscalculated and you ended up falling to the floor with a loud bang. Aonung was immediately at your side, not wanting to be responsible for your possible concussion.
He helped you up, which was the most gentle he had ever been. For once, his tight grip didnât cause an aching bruise.
âIâm fine.â You snapped at him as he pressed something cool against your throbbing forehead.
âStop being so stubborn.â Aonung forced you to sit down, noticing how you couldnât stand without swaying. He left the pod without a word. You assumed he was fed up with your attitude. You didnât expect him to return two minutes later while you tended to your headache, medicine in one of his hands and a beautiful shell in another.
âI, uh, found this.â He grumbled, holding the shell out for you. âIt reminded me of you.â It was a pastel blue with speckles of yellow painting it. You stared down at it, studying the shellâs shape.
Aonung cleared his throat, his cheeks suddenly feeling hot. You saw how his face flushed with color as he almost nervously fidgeted with his hands. âDo you⊠like it?â He asked, âBecause I can take it back if you hate it. I donât really care. I knew youâd hate it anyway.â He reached out to take the shell back but you instinctively pulled it away.
âNo⊠I like it.â You whispered, growing protective over the shell.
Your gaze drifted down from Aonungâs bright blue eyes to his necklace, a piece of jewellery with intricately woven string that held a tooth in the middle. He was⊠relatively good-looking. His arm band, adorned with shells, was wrapped tightly around his bicep. Aonung had a sort of rugged beauty to him, shaped by the relentless ocean and the harsh tidal waves.
âAre you checking me out?â Aonung used your own words from yesterday against you. You merely huffed, a mix of amusement and frustration swirling inside of you.
âAs if.â But your words came out quiet. You glanced down at the shell once more, trailing a finger over it in curiosity.
Perhaps Aonung wasnât so bad after all. If you managed to look past his aggravating and obnoxious tendencies, he wasnât exactly the worst person you could be stuck with.

MASTERLIST
âShe's so loud, does she think everyone is deaf?â
Neteyam watches you kick Aoânung as you whine about your stolen prey, going as far as throwing stones into his direction. Frankly speaking, Neteyam finds you extremely immature and childish, even more so than Tuk.
Loâak snickered on his side, tossing a piece of shattered shell in the water and watched it disappear. âYouâre the only one that kept complaining about her, bro. People here don't seem to mind.â
Neteyam sneered, picking up a shell beside and observing it as he spoke. âIâm sure they're just putting up with her because they cannot get rid of her.â
Loâak looked at his brother with amusement. Neteyamâs one sided beef with you is something none of the family expected, but he finds it interesting to see how his brother crumbles into self doubt when someone finally doesn't look at him like a god. âyouâre just saying that because she doesn't like you like everybody else. youâre not used to being disregarded.â
He said it in a joking tone, but it only fanned the flames inside Neteyam. That is in fact one of the reasons why he came to dislike you very much aside from the fact that you're polar opposites. It was because right from the start, you never once showed any cordiality with him.
When the Sullys came into awaâatlu, as Tsireya and Aoânungâs paternal cousin, you also tagged along in helping them learn the way of the water. At first, Neteyam finds you extremely interesting, like a breath of fresh air, but as time goes by and your treatment of him never changes, he also begins to resent you for it.
Heâs not used to it. Just like Loâak said. All his life, he had done everything to please his family and the Omatikaya People, and even when they came to Awaâatlu, he had done his best in making everyone like him.
You're just one tough rock that he cannot crack no matter what he does. Smiles don't cut it. Fishes don't do it either. Pretty shells collected are a lot more mediocre than yours. He totally cannot figure you out. You seem to dislike him very much, going as far as pretending he doesn't exist. He was unprepared for it, a total disregard from someone he wanted to be close to from the very start.
âIf I were you bro? I would talk to her about it and clear shit up rather than sulking everyday.â Loâak patted Neteyamâs shoulder as he stood up, ready to meet Tsireya half way as she walked back to the shore.
âwhat is there to talk about anyway?â Neteyam grumbled to himself, flicking the shells away in annoyance. Loâak just shrugged and walked away, totally enjoying seeing his perfect brother in dilemma.
The oldest sully once again looked at you as you play with Tuk and Kiri, seeing how happy you were with his sisters. Deep inside, he also knew why everyone loves you. Despite your loud mouth, you are always sincere. You always mean what you speak, and people appreciate your honesty and straightforwardness, well except for neteyam.
your questionable behavior directed towards him is getting on his nerves. he's at the end of his patience with you, but his self control is holding him back from erupting and asking what the hell is wrong with you.
days passed and the day for the bonfire communal feast arrived. neteyam had heard from his siblings that you and Tsireya are to dance and sing to eywa in celebration for the excellent results of the hunt done yesterday.
neteyam had never heard you sing, nor seen you dance. he never thought you could do those things, but based on his siblings' words, you're quite good and proficient. Tuk says your voice reminds her of eywa's gentle guidance, and your body as the ocean waves.
it's just another reminder that he never really knew you, that you built a wall around you to solely keep him out. that you could be free in front of his siblings but would be hard as a rock in front of him. how can you be so cruel?
"there's never gonna be any progress if you just sulk and sulk and sulk everyday. you have to understand that not everyone is obligated to like you."
neteyam glanced at his sister, bitterness in his tongue. "yea, real helpful sister."
"whatever," kiri rolled her eyes and focused on the kava in her hand, paying no attention to the distraught neteyam beside her.
when the tempo of the music changed and the people parted to reveal you and tsireya in the middle, neteyam felt his breath stolen away by your beauty. you are stunning, that he knew from the very start. he never expected to see you even more beautiful. you make him go crazy inside and he didn't even know why. no matter how you ignore him, he cannot do the same to you. you're always clouding his mind, making him sleepless every eclipse.
neteyam knew that he's being obvious by not taking his eyes off you the entire performance, he knew that his mother are looking at him every time his breath hitch like he couldn't breath, he knew that kiri is laughing at him, but he just cannot stop looking at you.
so when the time to dance with other members of the clan came, he didn't hesitate to stand up and walk towards you in hopes that he'd catch you and ask you for at least one dance.
"can i ask for a dance?" he asked, breathless and hopeful as he looked towards you.
he saw you hesitate, and his newfound confidence shattered. his lips trembled until you took his hand and murmured. "...just once."
Tsireya looked at Neteyamâs yearning look directed at you and giggled to herself. Loâak also saw his face and snickered. âhe totally has a crush on her! heâs just mad she doesn't pay attention to him.â
The younger metkayina girlâs eyes widened. Then, she quickly accepted it. It's not like she hadn't noticed that tension between you and Neteyam. She thought both of you will figure it out yourselves that's why she didn't interfere at all, but turns out both of you are dense enough that you're still not confronting each other about what you feel.
She looked at you and decided to finally help you out. Turning to her beloved, she said. âSister does not dislike Neteyam. She's just like that to everyone she likes.â
It was Loâakâs turn to be wide-eyed. âNo shit? Really?! I mean she never gave him a good look y'know? Totally acting like he doesn't existâŠâ
Tsireya pulled Loâak to sit with her in the sand. âSister does not know how to deal with her feelings properly. When we were children, she once liked a boy from another clan that visited awaâatlu. He played with us all the time and really liked sister. But since she didn't know what to do, she accidentally made him cry before he and his family were about to leave. When the eclipse came, she cried so hard that it became everyone's favorite story to talk about during communal feasts.â
Loâak laughed but then slowly turned melancholic. Somehow, he relates to you. Often misunderstood because you cannot express yourself correctly, and it drives you to keep your thoughts on your own even more. âThatâs sad⊠my brother⊠My brother is not really the one to pursue feelings. Back in the forest most of the girls our age liked him, some he was interested in, but really didn't bother doing something for it. Heâs too busy taking care of us and training to be a good warrior. I don't know if he and your sister can even work it out at this point,â
Tsireya hummed, looking at you and to Neteyam every few seconds, before an idea formed in her mind. âI know exactly what to do!â
Loâak looked at his belovedâs bright face and can only pray for his brotherâs well-being.
sitting down after dancing with neteyam, you friend immediately sat beside you with a grin. "how does it feel to dance with your beloved?"
you rolled your eyes despite the racing of your heart. you cannot admit that you almost sang in joy when neteyam asked for a dance. you didn't even know what happened during the dance as you just gone blank. he might have thought you were uninterested as he left right after the first dance finished. although you felt at loss, you acted like nothing and continued dancing with others.
seeing you like this, your friend teased you even further. âwhy don't you just go and proclaim your intentions, hmm? that you want to mate with neââ
you covered your friend's mouth, scared that someone might hear. "be quiet will you! what if someone hear?"
your friend shrugged, "then you'd probably be forced to confront your feelings and then there would be celebration for your uni---"
"impossible," you cut her off. "we are never possible right from the very beginning. he's from the forest, i'm from the ocean."
"so what? you are both na'vi and obviously liked each other."
you sneered. like you? impossible. why would someone as perfect as neteyam like you?
he's the most perfect na'vi you have ever seen. a skilled warrior, with kind and loyal heart, and would do everything for his beloved family. he's the son of Toruk Makto, admired and well-liked. you? you're just a daughter of a warrior, a niece to the olo-eyktan of the metkayina. you have no real status, no great skills like neteyam.
you do not deserve him. "eywa knows that's not true, sister. eywa knows."
Walking into the lush greeneries of the island, you wonder where your friends are. Tsireya said she wanted everyone to gather in your secret place and play the demonâs game Truth or Dare. Although you detest sky demons, it didn't diminish your curiosity for their creations.
So against your better judgment, you still came when the eclipse started. Thankfully, you know your way in quite well and didn't get lost in your trek to the heart of the island.
As you went further, you began to notice the lack of noise your friends usually make. Loâak should be laughing boisterously by now, Tuk screaming, and Kiri wandering around. But no matter how you strain your ears, you don't hear any familiar noises.
So when you reached the hut where you and your friends planned to stay, you were shocked to see only Neteyam inside, seemingly waiting for everyone to show up.
Your feet froze and you cannot stop your heart from racing, hammering against your chest making you gasp for breath. Your heavy breathing was quickly noticed by Neteyam who was also surprised to see you.
The gears in your head turned and you already knew what your friends were doing. It must be Tsireya, who always can see through you and your thoughts. She mustâve conspired with everyone to deceive you and Neteyam.
Without thinking things through, you turned around and walked back to where you came from, but before you could even take a few steps, a hand forcefully held you back.
âWhere are you going?â
âIâm going home.â
âBut shouldn't we wait for the others?â
Rolling your eyes, you pulled your arm out of his grip. âDonât you understand? They set us up for their own amusement. Now, if you can please let me go. I can't be alone with you right now. I swear to Eywa I will feed that girl to an akulaââ
âWhy canât you be alone with me? Do you hate me that much?!â
âWhatâs your problem?!â You glared at him when he pulled you again, his fingers digging into your shoulder.
âNo, what is YOUR problem?!â He looked at you sharply, trying to mask the hurt he felt inside when he heard your words. He had always known you don't like him, but to hear you imply yourself definitely hurts the most. Shaking his head, he continued. âYâknow what? Perhaps this is the time we finally talk. So tell me now, ocean girl! What the hell is your problem with me!â
You let out an unbelievable huff, feeling ridiculous as you shouted back. âMe?! Itâs you always shooting daggers at me every time we meet! Why is that my fault?!â
âBecause you treat me like shit!â
Both you and Neteyam froze with his outburst. He looked rather regretful for allowing himself to be vulnerable, especially in front of you. His self control is crumbling away.
âI do not treat you like shit! Donât make things up!â
âOh yeah, right! Maybe you don't treat me like shit because you treat me like I donât exist! Donât act like you don't ignore me all the time, as if it's a great burden for you to even pay me any attention. Iâm tired of your shit! So tell me, what is your problem, ocean girl, so we can finally end this farce!â
With mouth agape, you stared wide-eyed at Neteyam. You have never seen him this angry before. Most of the time heâs mellow and polite, always greeting you every time you hang out with his siblings. It's only recently that he had somehow changed, always glaring at you, shooting daggers at you every time you passed by.
You tried to explain but you cannot find the right words. Looking at you like this, it only solidified Neteyamâs belief. The hurt in his eyes was palpable, so he looked away. He can't let you see him so affected by you. His pride is the only thing he can cling to right now, as you have stripped away everything from him.
âWhat? Couldn't speak? Did I hit the mark, ocean girl?
You gasp, chest heaving so fast as your heart rammed against your ribs. You cannot look into his eyes, too afraid to let him see the feelings you are trying so hard to avoid. â...I-I donât dislike you, I-Iââ
âLiar! You can't even look me in the eye! Tell me the truth!â
âI-I don't want to!â
âWell guess what, you cannot leave this island without telling the truth. Tell me, and Iâll let you go.â His tone has mellowed, a hint of begging in his voice. His grip on your shoulder was tight, it was hurting you but you cannot ignore the voice in your head that urges you to just tell everything and end this ridiculous argument.
âtell me, how can make you like me?"
your heart skipped a beat, processing his words. like him? you already like him so much that it hurts. how can he ask you that?
seeing you silenced, Neteyamâs chest constricted. His eyes stung, but he tried so hard to never let you notice. He cannot crumble in front of you. He doesn't want you to have the satisfaction. He wanted to hear you say that you hate him. That you detest him. That you cannot stand the thought of being with him. So it would destroy him silently, and he can finally rebuild himself piece by piece.
âTell me!â
âI hate you because I love you!â
âBullââ
Neteyam paused, eyes wide as he looked at you in disbelief. Your tears finally fell like waterfall as your knees gave away and you sobbed into the ground. You finally said it. The reason why you cannot sleep at night. The reason you tried so hard to avoid Neteyam in fear that heâll see through you, that heâd be disgusted with your feelings with him. You tried to mask your love as dislike to protect your heart, because you know if you give in youâd just be shattered. You know well how this would end. He would never be yours.
âI-I hate you so much, Neteyam! For making me feel this w-way! I hate you for changing my life and making me c-confused! I hate you for making me fall for you!â
âW-Whatââ
You stood up without waiting for his reply. With all your strength, you ran away from Neteyam. You didn't care if your feet were hurting, and when you bumped into someone you didn't look at who it was. All you wanted was to leave this place and never see Neteyam again.
Loâak looked at your disappearing back and patted his brother's shoulder. Neteyam was still standing like a statue, in shock, staring at the direction you had escaped to.
âCatâs finally out of the bag, huh. Took you guys long enough. Congrats bro, you finally confessed to your cruââ
Before Loâak could even finish his words, Neteyam took off like his tailâs on fire, running after you with a huge triumphant grin on his face. Tsireya and Loâak looked at each other and laughed, proud of their successful plan.
âLooks like I won this bet. Kiri better pays up!â

forest boy.
synopsis: you are tsakarem (tsahik-in-training) of the metkayina clan, promised to ao'nung. however it seems that things take a turn when you catch the attention of a certain forest boy.
tags: fluffy drabble, fem! metkayina! reader, a test post to see if this fandom still lives lol, jealous! ao'nung, pining! neteyam, love at first sight! neteyam, subtle tsireya x lo'ak, reader and ao'nung are parallels of ronal and tonowari
part 2 here
The bellow of a horn echoed throughout the village, accompanied by the fluttering of an Ikran's wings. Both you and Tsireya halted your light conversation, laughter dying down as your attention was drawn to the exotic mountain banshees flying above. Sharing a curious glance, both of you moved towards your Ilu's, making haste towards the sandy shores.
From afar, you could see how a family of forest Na'vi dropped down to the sands. They seemed apprehensive, led by a tall man dressed in exotic gear.
"Isn't that the Olo'eyktan from the Omatikaya clan?" Tsireya whispered, her voice barely audible. "What could possibly bring them here?"
"I have no idea," you replied, dismounting from your ilu as you approached the shore, Tsireya mirroring your actions.
As you dipped your head in the water, you pushed yourself upward, breaking through the surface. With a graceful motion, you brushed aside your damp hair, allowing it to cascade down your shoulders in a shimmering display.
Just then, your eyes locked with one of the strange forest people. Almost immediately, he bowed low, gesturing to you by placing his fingers on his forehead and extending one hand down. Smiling, you gestured back, returning the greeting with a nod of your head. The forest boy seemed pleased by your response, and his eyes sparkled with interest.
As Neteyam's gaze fell upon you, he couldn't help but become entranced by the mesmerizing shade of aquatic blue that adorned your skin, gracefully accompanied by flowing white stripes resembling gentle waves. The captivating allure of your large, penetrating blue eyes seemed to delve into the depths of his soul and he found himself speechless, mouth running dry.
Taking in your petite stature, the fin-like formations on your arms and legs piqued his curiosity, evoking images of elegant aquatic creatures. Your attire, intricately woven and embellished with coral, shells, and delicate trinkets, complemented your features perfectly, adding to your captivating appearance.
"You're staring, skxawng," Lo'ak snorts, playfully knocking his brother's side. Neteyam huffs, feeling a tinge of embarrassment as he quickly averts his gaze. "Shut it," he retorts, trying to brush off the moment.
As their father engaged in conversation with the newcomers, a group of boys broke away from the crowd, heading towards the brothers. Lo'ak and Neteyam exchanged quick gestures of greeting, but received no response in return.
Neteyam's gaze sharpened as he observed the group encircling them, a hint of caution in his eyes. One of them then laughed heartily, pointing at their tail, "What is that? Is that supposed to be a tail? How are they supposed to swim?"
"Do not!" Tsireya hisses, swiftly moving to smack Roxto's hand away. Sensing the tension, you saunter towards them, joining Tsireya in scolding the boys. "Be nice," you chide firmly.
Neteyam's attention shifts, his gaze locked on you as you approach Ao'nung and place a firm hand on his bicep.
In that moment, Neteyam witnesses a silent conversation unfold between the two of you, communicating with nothing but your eyes.
'You are being mean again,' you assert, raising your eyebrows and fixing your intense gaze upon the Metkayinan boy. Ao'nung blinks slowly, a dull look on his face. With a click of his tongue, he shuts his eyes and huffs in resignation. 'I know,' he concedes.
As all four of you shift your attention back towards the newcomers, Tsireya beams with enthusiasm, her warm greeting echoing once more, "We welcome you."
Lo'ak acknowledges her with a nod and a mumbled greeting, and you can't help but notice Tsireya's endearing reaction. Her cheeks flush, and her smile turns almost bashfully giddy as she glances down at her feet, clearly charmed by the interaction.
Months had passed since the Sully's integration into your village. You couldn't help but admire their quick learning, seamlessly adapting to the ways of the water in less than a month. As you spent more time training with them, your bond with the siblings grew stronger, particularly with endearing little Tuk, who always seemed eager to drag you along the shore to play.
'This is going to be interesting.'
Amidst the camaraderie, not everyone got along. Fights frequently arose between Ao'nung and the two Sully brothers, resulting in heated scuffles, both physical and verbal. And while Ao'nung and Lo'ak seemed to have made some progress in improving their relationship, the situation with Neteyam remainedâŠunresolved at best.
"Ao'!" You gasp out, flinching back when he tackles Neteyam to the ground. The two boys exchange hits with fervor, their fists flying in rapid succession as they grapple with each other.
"Oh, you skxawngs!" you huff, unable to contain your frustration any longer. You grab hold of Neteyam's tail, pulling him off Ao'nung and breaking up the fight. "What is wrong with you two?!"
"I told him to back off!" Neteyam snarls, his hand pressed against a blossoming bruise on his torso. Ao'nung clicks his tongue, rolling his shoulders as he stands up, his expression defiant. "Maybe you should back off my mate."
The tension in the air remains palpable as emotions run high, leaving you caught in the middle of the escalating conflict. You don't miss how Neteyam's shoulders drop, his mouth agape as his eyes dart between the two of you.
Confusion fills his gaze as he stammers, "Mate?"
"I am Tsakarem," you affirm, taking a step towards Ao'nung's side to assess his injuries. "But it's bold of you to claim that I'm your mate," you add, clicking your tongue disapprovingly. Neteyam, catching your mocking tone, seems to perk up and grin
"Don't get too excited, forest boy," Ao'nung grumbles, his gaze drilling holes into Neteyam's head, "She is still promised to me."
Sighing you tuck your head into his shoulder, begging him to shut up.
May Eywa help you.

âWait...what is she exactly to you guys? It's rare for outsiders to join your tribe right?â Loâak asks causing Rotxo to puff his chest out.
âSheâs my sister!â Pride seem to radiate off him as he lifts his chin high with an air of smugness.
There was a beat of silence.
Neteyam and Loâak shared a look again.
âButâŠâ Neteyam started, his voice trailing, unsure on how to phrase it.
Rotxoâs smile dropped, his gaze sharpening as he eye them. âBut what?â
Seeing his older brother was too polite and hesitant Loâak pushed ahead. âSheâs a human. A Sky Person.â
The air turned icy in an instant.
Rotxoâs prideful expression had vanished, instead it was replaced with a sharp glare as his tail lashed the water.
âDon't you ever call her that,â Ao'nung hisses with a glare. He wades closer, his teeth bared in a menacing grin. â____ will never be what those pestsâthose demons are.â

Tonowari had been heartbroken, years back, when his mate had died during childbirth. Both Ronal and her baby died at the same hour. The clan grieved the loss of their TsahĂŹk; Tsireya and Aonung grieved the loss of their mother; Tonowari grieved for his mate and lost baby.Â
That was a long time ago, 4 years back. Tonowariâs grief came to a halt the moment he met you, the eldest Sully sibling, allowing your family to stay.Â
âYou there. Sully child,â he called out to you, waving you over.Â
âYes, Oloâeyktan. What is it?âÂ
He gestured for you to follow. You noticed the other Naâvi staring as you passed by. He led you inside the chieftainâs marui. There, he shut the door-like fabric and sighed.Â
âCome here.âÂ
âIs there something wrong?â you asked.Â
Not saying anything else, the Oloâeyktan closed the distance between you two. A pair of strong arms wrapped around your waist, pulling you close. Before you could speak, your lips were captured by the chiefâs.Â
You stood there for a moment until you snapped out of it and moved away from him. âW-what are you doing?!âÂ
He didnât move, his arms still wrapped around your waist as he pulled you closer to him. He finally spoke. His tone was harsh, but not mean. More pleading than anything else.Â
âGive me a chance.âÂ
âWhat do you mean? A chance...?â you questioned, bewildered and still shocked from what had happened before.Â
Tonowari let one of his arms slide. The hand he had on your waist was slowly placed around your back, pulling you even closer to him before his hand started to move upward. Instinctively, your eyes closed halfway and went to look at the floor, blushing.Â
âA chance at happiness. Let me make you happy.âÂ
âBut... I donât understand, you...âÂ
He stopped his hand from continuing the path it was making and sighed, trying to keep himself composed, hoping for your cooperation. Hoping for your understanding. With another movement, both his hands went to your waist again, holding you firmly.Â
âLook at me, please.âÂ
You looked up at him hesitantly. His eyes held a lot of feelings you couldnât decipher.Â
Tonowariâs hands tightened around your waist a little bit more. A hand lifted itself to your chin, raising your head as he stared straight in your eyes.Â
âLet me love you. Iâve waited and searched far and wide for someone like you. Someone who understands the grief of losing their partner, of losing someone precious to their life. I see that person in you.âÂ
You stared at him in surprise. âHow did you know...?âÂ
He smiled at your confusion. It was obvious he was getting through to you. He finally spoke again, still gripping your chin to keep you looking at him.Â
âA personâs eyes speak volumes. There is so much pain in yours, and I know how you feel. The only way to make it better is to allow someone to ease it for you.âÂ
âTonowari, I... I donât know if Iâm ready for that,â you whispered, half scared and half anxious.Â
His grip on your chin tightened. He leaned closer to you, until only mere inches separated your bodies. His hands slowly started to wander to your hips.Â
âLet me make you ready.âÂ
You gazed at him. His gorgeous ocean-blue eyes, his splendid tattoos decorating his face... He was undeniable beautiful. The truth is that he caught your attention from the moment you saw him the day your family got here, but he always seemed so untouchable, so intimidating and serious. Not that it didnât stop you from having sinful thoughts for several nights though.Â
His hand moved further down from your hips and up to your back again as he continued to pull you towards him. Tonowari then let go of your chin, moving his other hand towards your neck with his thumb rubbing circles over your skin as his face moved closer to yours. Your breaths became heavier the moment your lips almost touched each other.Â
âW-wait... what i-if someone sees us?âÂ
He chuckled, pulling you closer to his body. His hands traveled back to your hips again as he spoke.Â
âLet them see. I am the Oloâeyktan. I can do what I want... and I want you.âÂ
âB-but... my parents, my siblings, your kids -âÂ
âForget about them.â His grip tightened even more... to the point it almost felt like a pinch, though it may have just been his strength. âTheyâll forget about it too once we are together. Once I make you mine for lifetimes to come.âÂ
You felt your heart would eventually burst out of your body with the speed it was beating. Suddenly, you could no longer think straight. The more you thought about Tonowari's words, the less you wanted to think at all. The amount of stress you had been subjected to for the last days had been crushing you. Your parents' expectations, the need to check on your brothers and sisters, the return of the sky people, the worry for spider, being forced out of your home and having to adapt to a new environment where its people did nothing to help you nor make you feel welcome. Even your past relationship, while sharing mutual affection, felt more like a duty to the people than a free choice. You no longer wanted to think about it. For once, you chose to be selfish. Tonowari was right there, declaring his feelings for you and after that simple proposal, your already dazed mind just snapped as you gave in and kissed himÂ
Tonowari was surprised when your lips pressed against his. Your kiss was passionate, hot, and most importantly, filled with emotion. This wasnât just some innocent crush; this was a deep and meaningful need for each other. His hand slid up further, gripping your hair a little bit. His other hand slid back down, to your back again, as he pulled you closer, pressing you against his body.Â
You couldnât help that small moan that escaped from your mouth, but you no longer cared about being subtle. He had given his word that you would not be disturbed, and any rational thoughts you held on to had disappeared from your mind the second his skin touched yours.Â
His hand moved to your side, where he scooped you up from your waist. His lips never left yours, the intense feeling of lust and love both being satisfied at the same time. His other hand slid down once more, and this time landed on your rear... holding you tightly against him. His breathing was heavy, but he didnât care. He was ready to spend a lifetime of pleasure with you by his side.Â
While this experience was extremely pleasurable to you, you were running out of air. He had no problem; he was Metkayina after all. They could hold on to their breaths for Eywa knows how long. However, despite having spent weeks in the clan, you were still learning. And the fact that this whole... everything had caught you by surprise didnât help. Regretfully, you separated your lips from his and your breath came back in soft but hoarse gasps.Â
He was breathing heavily as well, though not as much as you. His grip on your rear and back loosened slightly. He didnât want to suffocate you.Â
Tonowari stared at you with desire, his eyes flickering from your face to your body. He was about to say something when a knock was heard on the door. He growled low in his throat, annoyed at the interruption.Â
You were equally upset, but the logical part of you told you that this was to be expected. He was the Oloâeyktan, the leader of the clan. If his people needed him, he should be always open to help in any way possible. After slightly regaining your composure, you moved away from him. âYou should go see what they want. It could be something serious.âÂ
He nodded, his grip finally loosening fully. His face was flushed with adrenaline, and despite the fact that he was irritated at the interruption, he knew that you were right. He took a deep breath, walking over to the door and flapping it open.Â
While he left to deal with whatever had happened, you silently just stood there. You began to feel a little uncomfortable with the passing minutes. He was standing right outside the door, but it still felt weird to be inside his home. Having nothing to do but wait, your eyes unintentionally began to wander around. You knew it was wrong to peek at his personal things, but you felt like it was okay. Sort of. After all, you both had been kissing just a little while ago. While looking around, you could see Tsireya and Aonung's separate pods. You imagined being part of the leader's family gave you such benefits. You also saw spears held in the walls, different tools and furnitures. Nevertheless, one object under a blanket caught your attention. A leather headpiece carved with a big seashell on its front.Â
That headpiece was actually the symbol of the TsahĂŹk of a Metkayina clan. Tonowari had hidden it before you entered, as he didn't want you to see him as just a leader looking for a replacement, but as a man who loved and cared for you.Â
After a few minutes, Tonowari eventually returned, shutting the door behind him. As he stepped inside, his eyes caught sight of you standing near his children's pods, staring at the headpiece in your hands. He slowly walked over to you.Â
âDid this belong to the previous TsahĂŹk?âÂ
Tonowariâs eyes widened when you asked that. He didnât expect you to recognize it as part of his clanâs tradition, and it was rarely used outside of ceremonies.Â
With a nod, he replied with a soft tone.Â
âYes, it did. My mate, Ronal... she wore it during her time as TsahĂŹk. That is, until her death. Sadly, my children never had a chance to witness their mother rule as TsahĂŹk.âÂ
You hummed in understanding. It made sense for him to keep it. Ronal had been TsahĂŹk of the Metkayina and his mate for years. Still...Â
Tonowari realized how you were staring at the headpiece, and how your eyes were still unmoving. He walked closer and picked it up, gently placing it on your head. A sign of him naming you the future TsahĂŹk.Â
He spoke, his hands placing themselves on your hips.Â
âIf everything is alright with you, would you... come spend the night with me in my quarters? That is, if you wish to... become my life partner.âÂ
Although you had accepted Tonowari's previous offer, this was too much. Especially after spending time in his home. You suddenly realized how much you didn't belong in that picture. He had two children the same age as your brothers and sisters. He had had a loving mate who he still loved; you could see it the instant he looked at the headpiece. He had a life made up, and you weren't sure how you fit in it. âTonowari, you can't just name me the TsahĂŹk of your clan. I'm only an outsider, and you already have Tsireya as Tsakarem. Besides, I haven't even finished my training.âÂ
Tonowari sighed softly, your rejection hitting hard. It hurt to see how you did not believe yourself to be a good match for him. He had thought that, perhaps, after all this time, you would grow to care for him and love him to the point where you would accept his office. He was wrong.Â
He slowly removed the headpiece from your head, placing the ceremonial piece on its previous place. Then, he turned around, walking over to a bag hanging from the ceiling, opening it and rummaging around.Â
You said nothing, hoping he didnât take it very badly. In the best case, you could just forget about this and go back to your normal lives. Or maybe see each other without formalizing anything. At worst, you didnât know what he would do. He was truly a gentle person but having power over a whole clan made him dangerous if he wanted to be. You just hoped your family wouldnât get involved in this. Or find out at all.Â
After a few minutes, Tonowari took out something. He walked over to you, holding out a necklace in his hand. It was carved from a seashell, with the same emblem as the headpiece, though this one looked like it was made for you.Â
âThis is a tradition I wish to begin. All Metkayina Oloâeyktans give a carved necklace to their intended. It is a sign of the beginning of a formal relationship. You have yet to answer, though. Will you be my mate for lifetimes to come?âÂ
You stared at the necklace. Ot was beautiful, shining with various sea colors that made it look like some kind of precious relic. It appeared to be the perfect size for you, too. He must have somehow figured out your measurements. âI... Itâs beautiful. I thank you, truly, I do, but... are you sure you want me?âÂ
Tonowari nodded silently as you stared at the necklace. It was indeed the perfect length. He had studied your measurements on the few occasions he had happened to meet you at close range.Â
He smiled at your gratitude, but his smile turned into a sad frown as you continued your questioning.Â
âYes, I am sure. If there was a doubt in my mind, I wouldnât be giving you this necklace. I know that you are afraid, that you are insecure about being a proper match for me. But know this; my heart desires you.âÂ
You sighed, feeling like your world was about to crumble depending on what you would decide. But, in the end, you had made your choice long before this conversation. âAs mine does for you.â You turned around, waiting for him to place it on you.Â
He nodded again and moved to place the necklace around your neck. He was careful, not wanting to accidentally hurt you in any way. After securing it, he took you by your hips again, pulling you close to him.Â
âNow that you belong to me, let us celebrate. Come,â he opened the door to his pod, leading you inside.Â
Your steps started hesitant, then slowly gaining confidence. As your father would say: to hell with it. The more you thought about it, the better your choices seemed. Both of you were lonely, filled with responsibilities and under lots of stress and feelings too complicated to comprehend. This was a logical decision. There was nothing wrong with it. He was the leader of the clan, so what? You were TsahĂŹk- in-training, learning from your grandmother back in the forest and firstborn daughter of Toruk Makto. He was decades older than you? Well, there was not much to fix there. After being named a hunter and officially an adult, and having actively participated in the war as both a fighter and a healer, you felt mature enough. Besides, your family had begged to be allowed to stay here; becoming TsahĂŹk could help cement the decision.Â
The moment you entered his room, he closed the door behind you. He took you by your hand, leading you closer to his bed. His other hand went to your back again, tracing your curves with his fingers. His grip was firm, but the way he handled you was gentle, as if he feared hurting you. After your body made contact with the bed, he slowly laid next to you, pulling you into his arms.Â
His eyes never left you. He was watching intently you, looking to see if you were ready for this...Â
You exhaled heavily, opening your eyes to look at him. To really See him, which you did. You saw his tired but shining eyes, his scars obtained after arduous battles, his tattoos symbolizing multiple feats and memories. And you felt seen by him. Your insecurities, your weaknesses, your worries. Your emotions were like a wild current, indomitable and fierce, but he was the shore, gentle and sturdy, ready to receive you and adjust to you no matter the force you inflicted. He was your wall, your support. And you were his spark, like a river that stopped his heart from drying out and filled him with new affection at the same time. Without saying anything, you reached for your braids.Â
His heart skipped a beat as he saw you unbraid your hair. You were beautiful. Your silky hair was just begging to be brushed, just begging to be run through with oneâs fingers. The way you moved towards him told him just how much you wanted this. He pulled you back into his embrace, pulling your head towards his to rest on his shoulder. A few moments of quiet passed as he just sat there like that, enjoying the peacefulness of the presence of your body against his.Â
âI want you, Tonowari.âÂ
Tonowari closed his eyes as you muttered those words. Hearing them was what he had been waiting for. When the silence came right after, he pulled you even closer to him. He was your Oloâeyktan now, which meant that you belonged to him, and he belonged to you. This had been his wish for a long time, but now, he would make those wishes come true.Â
âI want you too.âÂ
You slowly brought your kuru forward, letting the tendrils slowly interweave together with his. Right there and then, you felt it. Everything he was. Everything he had been. And everything he wished to be. With you. You closed your eyes again in pleasure, resting your head against his broad chest while your hands gripped his arms. Despite your previous experiences, this feeling could not be compared to them. The feeling of choosing and being chosen freely, without duties or expectations in the middle. It was impossibly liberating. You opened your eyes, watching through your completely dilated pupils the way he held you close and listening to his hard breathing.Â
Tonowari held you close, feeling your hands grip his arms and feeling your body press gently against his. His breathing sped up, just as yours did.Â
Your hands were brushing against the scars in his body, making him shiver slightly from the sensation. His muscles tensed underneath your touch, making his body move closer to yours. His breathing grew more erratic as your fingers tightened into his body.Â
With a soft moan, he pulled you even closer, his hands grazing against your lower back and sliding towards your hips.Â
You remained clinging to him as he took out your top and bracelets and pulled the cord holding your loincloth together. You gasped, feeling the cold air hit your now naked body. Combined with the newly made bond, everything you experienced felt multiplied by a hundred. Through it, you could see how Tonowari was looking at you, and it was turning you on too much for you to handle it.Â
Just looking at your body made him want you more than he ever had before. Your curves were hypnotic as they swayed with your movements. Your hips and breasts moved like waves on the ocean. Your skin was iridescent and soft, making him want to run his hands all over it.Â
He put his hands around your waist, bringing you to the edge of the bed. He slid the loincloth off, his eyes never leaving you as he did. Once he saw you fully naked in front of him, his jaw dropped. You truly were flawless.Â
âTonowari... I need you.âÂ
The sound of your voice was all needed to hear to snap him out of his trance. He pulled himself back to reality and gently laid you down, his gaze never straying your body. He slowly removed his garments as well. As he dropped each piece of his clothing, he stared at his body, unable to tear his eyes away from it. Finally, when he was completely naked, his eyes locked with yours. Â
âSay that again.âÂ
âI need you.âÂ
Those simple three words, when spoken with such desire, made his body respond to your command instantly. In a few swift moves, he was behind you. His hands gripped your hips tightly. His body against yours, pressing against your back, his hot breath was blowing on your neck. One hand squeezed tight against one of your tights, while the other hand brushed against your back.Â
âAgain.âÂ
âI need you; I need you, Tonowari, please.âÂ
âYou will always have me. I am yours, and you are mine. No one else can take me away from you. No one else can lay a finger on you. Not without suffering the consequences. You and your family belong to me now, and I mean that not as your leader, but as your mate. We belong to each other and all that comes with that. No one else will have you, and I would never let anyone take you away from me.âÂ
His words made your already rapid-beating heart quicken its pace even more. âWherever our fates take us. I will stay by your side â be it from the forest to the sea, from the start to the end of our time, together.âÂ
Tonowari smiled. He was happy to know that you would stay by his side, no matter where or when. He knew that having you was the best decision of his life.Â
âYou are mine. Now and forever. There are no boundaries between us. We will face everything together, and I trust you whole-heartedly. Now,â he gripped your hips tighter, if possible. âShow me just how much you need me.âÂ
âHow would you like me to prove myself?â you asked in a seductive tone.Â
âMake me feel like Iâm yours. Make me feel loved. Make me want to hold onto you like Iâm drowning and youâre my only saving grip. Make yourself mine. Show me how badly you want and need me. Be wild, be daring, be passionate.âÂ
âVery well.â You leaned to whisper in his ear. âI will make you feel loved unlike anyone ever has. I will make you mine. And we will be truly united for ages to come.âÂ
Tonowari's entire body tensed up as you whispered in his ear. His fingers gripped your hips even tighter. The way you spoke about making him feel, the way you spoke about making him yours, it was enough to make his body tremble in pleasure just from the words. Â
"Words sound good and all, but let's see if you can back them up."Â
His free hand went to your chin, and moved your face forward, his mouth meeting yours in a deeply passionate kiss.Â
While the two lost yourselves in the kiss, you subtly moved your body to be on top of him, your core meeting something hard, which made you release a moan that was drown by his lips.Â
He smirked at your subtle move, as he felt your soft body on top of him. He loved that you weren't shy with him, that you were willing to claim what you wanted. He loved the noise you made and quickly responded, his mouth taking over yours. He was lost in the moment, and he had no plans of stopping any time soon.Â
âWill anyone else be interrupting us? Your children?â While you were willing to let it passmthe first time, you couldnât guarantee the safety of the next person who dared to interrupt you.Â
âMy children will not enter without warning...â He paused to laugh at the suggestion of them just barging in, and he shook his head. They would never just walk in with something this sensitive going on. âBut if theyâre ever curious, Iâll inform you. A code only for you to know.âÂ
âLike what?âÂ
He gave you a mischievous smile, as he thought of a word for a code. His mind immediately went to your name, but that would be too obvious. So, he decided to use a word linked with your family and clan, one that no one outside of your family would know.Â
âIf they ever walk in, just say: Meyo Na'vi, yotulka.âÂ
âWhat does that stand for?âÂ
âIt means Child of the Forest, my love. Only members of the Metkayina clan would know what that means.âÂ
âMmm, I like it. And hearing it from you makes it even more special.âÂ
He wrapped his arms around you and pulled you onto him. Your hips were pressed tight against his, your chest pressed against his. His forehead rested onto yours, as he looked into your eyes.Â
âI have something else that I'd like to say to you before we continue. Do you want to hear it?âÂ
âOf course.âÂ
He grabbed your hands and placed them on his chest, your fingers feeling his heartbeat.Â
âThis heart belongs to you, and only you. I pledge it to be yours and yours alone. If it stops beating, that is because I would be dead. It shall only beat fast when you are near, because it wants to be close to you. And when you touch it, it shall thump slowly for you, because you are my only desire. My only love. And nothing can ever replace you.âÂ
âTonowari, I love your caring words and affectionate speeches, and Eywa knows I would do unspeakable things for you, but please. Do not make me wait any longer.âÂ
He chuckled at you being so impatient, and he took that as his cue to finally take control. He took hold of your hips, his hands on your thighs. And he began to move you. Slowly at first, he began to move you in a circular motion, his hips pressing against yours. The more they moved, the more the rhythm sped up, moving your bodies together in sync.Â
You whined at the sensation. You had fantasized about this moment for days, but it still felt incomplete. You needed more, needed him, to complete the bond in both body and mine. And he knew it. âTono...wari... ah.âÂ
The moment he heard your whine filled with desire, it was all he needed to hear. He was at your command, following every whim of your body. Every movement you made was the signal he needed to bring his movements in tune with yours. He leaned forward onto your neck, his breath hot and heavy on your skin. He bit gently on your neck, letting the sensation send chills throughout your body.Â
âAh! Please, MaâTono... I want you now.âÂ
The way you said his name sent a shiver down his spine, making him shudder in pleasure. Your body began to get him heated, making him want you even more. However, he just looked at you with a grin. You had said he spoke too much, so now he wished to tease you a little. Â
âI like hearing you beg. Say it again.âÂ
âA-ah! Please!âÂ
Your desperation turned him on like no other. And he knew he'd have you screaming his name soon.Â
âStill not a complete sentence. Say it again. And this time, say it like you really mean it. I want to hear it.âÂ
âGah! Ma'Tonowari, I beg you. Grant me the honor of finally being able to join you, without any type of limit. Let our union be complete and we may be united until the end of our days. Let our bodies come together and the fruit of this exchange result in a new lifeâÂ
The moment you were done, he knew that the words that you felt towards him were more than just mere desire, but complete love and devotion as well. Your desire was his desire now. And it would always be that way.Â
"The honor is mine to have you with me, my beloved. We are now one in flesh and in soul. This is our union. So, I command you, my love, to join with me, and let our union be perfected."Â
âAs you wish, my love.â And you dived in, eager to experience a future with him as your bodies became one. As your minds became one. Your love solidified in a moment, forever intertwined in a union that only they could truly understand. Their souls became one with their hearts beating in unison. And nothing would tear the bond they created.Â

"Come on y/n." Tsireya whispered to you as she stood in the entryway of your mauri.
It's the middle of the night and both of you decided to sneak off and have one of your nightly dates like you've been doing over the past few weeks.
"Okay, okay, I'm coming." you whisper back as you try to slowly step around your family who were sleeping peacefully on their mats trying your best not to wake them up.
You were finally able to make your way to the entryway, "Are you ready to go tanhĂŹ?" Tsireya reached out her hand for you to take, ready to intertwine her hand with yours.
"Yes, let's go." and with that, you grabbed her hand and both of you began walking toward the beach. As both of you walked hand in hand Tsireya felt all giddy inside, even though both of you have been dating for a year it still feels like the first time both of you went on a date.
Tsireya loved spending this time with you, being able to be alone at night as the moonlight shined so perfectly on your teal-green skin and how your light blue eyes shined with love.
The beach was beautiful at this time of day, from how the stars were shining in the night sky to the water that was glowing from the bioluminescent flora and fauna within it. After a while of walking along the shore both of you decided to settle down near a palm tree.
You sat down first, leaning against the tree as Tsireya sat on your lap. You wrap your arms around her torso, loving every moment you got to touch her. As Tsireya felt you snake your arms around her frame, a redness spreads across her cheeks. She loves when you touch her just as much as you did. She loves the feeling of your fingertips gliding against her body and the way your hands roam in places that were only accessible to you.
âI love you y/n, you know that? You make me feel so loved and protected.â Tsireya leans back, resting her body against yours and placing her head in the crook of your neck.
âI love you too yawne, you make me the happiest naâvi on Pandora. My life wouldnât be complete if you werenât in it.â You end your statement by planting a loving kiss on her cheek. Times like this made you feel so lucky to have Tsireya by your side.
Both of you continue stargazing, looking around at the world that Eywa created. The atmosphere was filled with a warmth that you never wanted to end, you wanted to bask in this feeling forever.
I hope you enjoyedđ!

DAYS PAST
Tonowari x Metkayina!Reader
Summary: Tonowari doesnât like the idea of her daughter going off with a boy, but his mate is there to remind him of their youth Warnings: N/A Word count: 1.5k
Taglist: @eywas-heir @drinking-tea-and-be-obsessed @netherklutz
âMy son, Aoânung and daughter, Tsireya, will teach you our waysâ
âFather-â
âIt is decidedâ Tonowari, Oloâeyktan of the Metkayina welcomed Jake and his family into Awaâatlu. They sought uturu, a sanctuary away from the war back in the forests. He granted them permission to stay, but the TsahĂŹk Ronal was not happy with his decision, she does not trust these outsiders, especially with how they are part human themselves.
âCome, I will show you our villageâ Tsireya helped with their bags and led them to an empty marui on the far side of the village. He was glad at least one of his children was hospitable, he would need words with his son later. He knows that Aoânung takes after his aunts views on them, it is evident in the scowls and remarks he threw at them.
âWho were they? âWari?â a small Metkayinan woman stood next to the man, snapping him out of his trance and placing a gentle hand on his back, urging him to look at her. When he turned his head down he was face to face with his mate, ___. He did not see her with the crowd when the Omaticayans arrived, âshe must have been deep in the ocean againâ, he mused.
âThat is Toruk Makto and his family. They seek uturuâ he cupped his wifeâs face and have her a kiss on the forehead, hand going down to her pregnant stomach, rubbing soothing circles. She was a few months along and the bump was very prominent.
âSanctuary? why?â the look that Tonowari gave her said everything, the skypeople were back on Pandora, she knew that and she knew the forest clans were heavily affected, she just did not expect them to come here, expecting them to fight back just as she heard 15 years ago. âI will go and greet themâ
âBe careful, sisterâ Ronal walks up to them after calming down a few worried Naâvi, glare on her face âI do not trust them, the children inherited demon blood, hair on their face and extra fingersâ. ___ simply nodded, not wanting to argue with her older sister, her TsahĂŹk, and simply watched her as she left to her marui.
âI am ___, Tonowariâs mateâ ___ introduced, her hands on her daughters shoulders and they smiled at the family, placing down a basket of freshly caught fish. The blue Naâvi did not look happy to be here, but they smiled back nonetheless. The little one, Tuktirey said her greetings out loud. It made ___ chuckle. âI am sorry if my sister, our TsahĂŹk, was too harsh on you all. She means wellâ
Neytiri huffed but nodded, she did not like Ronal after what she said about her children, therefore she did not know how to feel about the sister. Only time will tell. But for now it is best to keep up good impressions.
âYes, thank you. I am sure she doesâ Jake nodded his head, hair bouncing on his shoulders. His arm was around his youngest, bringing her to his chest. She was tired from the long journey and yawned.
âWe will leave you to settle in. There is no communal dinner tonight, but I have brought some fish your way. Come, Tsireyaâ They bid their goodbyes and walked back to their marui, speaking of the Omaticayans and what they would do to help them settle in more comfortingly.
âI will go diving with them tomorrow, show them our reefsâ Tsireya bounced on the walkway, excited at the prospect of new friends, and hopefully a new lover. Her tail swayed at the thought of him, the boy. He was sweet even if theyâve only met today for a few mere moments.
âThat is a good idea, and âReya, I have noticed you staring at that boy, do you like him?â like mother like daughter, ___ read her mind. She saw the look on her childâs face when they were back with the forest Naâvi, watching at Toruk Maktoâs youngest son, the one they call Loâak.
There was no point in lying to her Saânok, so Tsireya decided to say the truth. âHe said âheyâ to me mama! You should have seen him!â ___ giggled, one word and she was already captured by him, like fish in a net.
âWho said âheyâ to you?â Tonowari was sat by the side of the pod, his legs dangling over the water as he sharpened his spear, preparing for an afternoon hunt. His ears perked up at the sounds of his girls walking into their home, watching the little flush his daughter had grow on her face.
Tsireyaâs eyes widened âno one ma sempulâ and she scurried out of the house, going to see what her brother was up to, hopefully nothing terrible.
___âs mate looked towards his wife, eyes questioning, hands stopping their ministrations. âOur daughter may have fallen for someoneâ the woman went to sit beside him, holding the underside of her full tummy, rubbing the skin and feeling larger hands atop hers.
Tonowari hummed, not liking the idea of his only daughter going off with some boy, he had a suspicion it was with Jakeâs, seeing the way the boy looked at his kid. It was the same look he gave ___ when they were properly introduced for the first time. âI do not know how to feel about that. Tsireya is just a babyâ
âShe is thirteen my love, soon she will entertain the prospect of boys and relationships, and in the future a mateâ
The Oloâeyktanâs shoulders and ears visibly drooped, a large sigh escaping his chest, his wife was right. âWhere did the time go, flower? She was just a small bundle merely yesterday. Now she is a beautiful, strong, independent womenâ
âOur child has grown up, just like AoânungâŠdo you remember when we were in the same situation?â ___ grinned, blue eyes shining at the memories of a teenage Tonowari trying to court her with pretty woven necklaces and bags of pearls he spent hours collecting in the reef. Trinkets she held very dear then, and still holds now, one of which is wrapped around her neck.
Tonowari leaned into his mate and pecked the bridge of her nose, smiling at her, hand coming up to hold the back of her neck, feeling the shells of her necklace digging into his fingers. âI will never forget the first time I saw you, really saw you. You looked so beautiful at the party, the Tulkun returned and you were in the waters singing with your spirit sister, I could not take my eyes off of you for hoursâ
âSo she told meâ ___ giggled, briefly remembering when her tulkun spoke of the boy watching her from the shores. âShe said you were a creepâ
âDid she now?â Tonowariâs forehead raised, eyes widening.
âAnd I agreedâ he bellowed out a laugh, eyes crinkling at the sides. âYou never left me alone after that, always accompanying me around the waters. Ronal said you asked of me all the timeâ
âRonal is the equivalent of a sea snakeâ
___ gasped and slapped his shoulder, grin spreading across her pretty face âI am telling her you said that!â
âKehe! Please do not! She would kill meâ the man visibly shuddered. There is nothing more frightening than her older sister, who is so overly protective of ___. It took her forever to accept their relationship, afraid that he would take advantage and hurt her younger sister in some way.
___ smooched his mouth, cupping his face âdo not worry âWari, I will protect youâ
âMy strong warriorâ he mused, about to give her another kiss when their children entered the marui, Aoânung visibly shuddered at the sight of his parents being so lovey with each other, sticking his tongue out at them, Tsireya noticed and slapped his shoulder.
Tonowari straightened up, still needing to give him the talk, asking him to sit next to them. Aoânung noticed his fathers serious demeanour and slowly crept next to his mother for protection. âSon, you will treat the Sullyâs with respect, I have asked you to help them become Metkayina so I expect no quarrels. As future Oloâeyktan I need you to take this seriouslyâ. The boy furiously nodded, not wanting to disappoint his father any further, âAnd I want you to watch over the youngest boy, I do not like how he has been eyeing your sisterâ
âSempul!â Tsireya screeched from the other side of the hut, round cheeks turning a deep shade of purple, hiding behind the woven basket of fish she brought out.
___ held her swollen belly and laughed loudly, slowly getting up from her position over the edge of their home and walking towards her daughter, taking the fish and getting ready to cook dinner. ââWari, what did we just talk about earlier?â
âI know, flower. But I still do not like his staring!â
Aoânung just shook his head and sighed, this was going to be a long night.

Neteyam and reader going on a diving trip together to catch fish, and Tuk and Tsireya catch them kissing underwater :D please??
Aww my heart :') this was too cute not to write ASAP lol
Fishing For Kisses
When Neteyam asks if you'll teach him how to catch fish underwater, you can hardly say no. You love your trips together, especially when no one else is around.
Word count: 1.3k
Genre: Fluff, friends to lovers
Readerâs name is Payo. She is of the Metkayina
âPlease. Dad said I need to pull my weight around here.â Neteyam is pestering you to take him fishing.Â
Thereâs no way youâre going to say no, but you like holding out just a tad bit longer, watching as Neteyam pleads. Itâs fun to watch his eyes turn serious, as he squints at you, waiting for an answer.
âWho says youâre not pulling your weight? You helped me mend the bridge just a few days ago.â You motion towards the new taut wrappings on the bridge, in front of your familyâs marui hut.Â
âNot enough.â Neteyam comes a little closer, his hand brushing your forearm. You look up at him. âI should be able to learn fast, so I wonât have to bother you to come help me all the time.â
âOh?â You peer upwards at him, a teasing smile working itâs way on to your face. âAre you saying you donât want my company?â
âNo, no-â Neteyam looks down, clearly shy. âI like that you help me, Payo. I just canât be annoying about it, yâknow?â
âItâs okay, Neteyam.â You giggle cheerfully, and he glances back at you, unaware of how enraptured he is when he looks at you. âThe people are meant to stay together.â
He nods, not quite looking away even when you pull him aside to start walking.
/
âOkay.â Youâre on your ilu, and Neteyam is on his. Youâve driven out a bit farther into the reef where there will be many fish swimming about. âYou ready?â
Neteyam nods with a determined, steely gaze, taking the water bow that youâve given him off of his back, and you motion for him to dive in the water with you, disconnected from your ilu.
Bubbles shimmer as you jump in, and Neteyam grins at the sight of the flora and fauna underwater, before you wave at him.
Follow me. You sign, and Neteyam swims after you. His gait is still a little awkward- his long legs that are great at being sturdy in the forest trees lack the fluidity that yours have- and as you swim with grace, your legs and long tail moving from side to side in a rhythm that Neteyam canât replicate? He feels a little jealous. Maybe a little wistful at how cool you are.
You turn back, your hair making a flowing halo around you, and smile at him. Neteyam feels warm, pausing for just long enough that you stare at him in mild confusion. He shakes his head, trying to ignore the burgeoning feelings of attraction that seem to occur whenever he stares at you.
Youâre too pretty.
You pull him beside some large weeds, and point to the large shoal of fish, swimming in the currents towards deeper parts of the oceans. Neteyamâs only got a few minutes until they all swim too far for him to reach.
Your arm brushes his as you wade in the water, and you pull out your own bow to show him exactly how to do it.
Neteyam, who seems extraordinarily focused, is already drawing back his own string, and before you can tell him not to get so ahead of himself, he lets go of the arrow, which immediately shoots deeply into the biggest fish.
It begins to sink, and Neteyam swims after it, holding it eagerly as you stare on in shock. You accidentally breathe out, a large gasp of air bubbles clouding your features, and you swim upwards to recoup your breath.
âPayo, check it out- I did it!â Neteyam waves the fish and arrow in front of you.
âYeah, you did, Neteyam.â Youâre silent for just a few moments longer.
â...Payo?âÂ
You splash him, drenching his features, and Neteyam looks at you in surprise, spluttering.Â
âYou- told- me- that you didnât- know how to- fish!â You splash him with every single pause. âWhy did you lie to me, huh?â
âI didnât-â Neteyam tries to answer, but the water splashing is too much for him to speak through, so he slings his bow around his back again, and grabs your arms, holding them to his chest. Your hands splay out against his torso.Â
âYou didnât lie?â You look at him, not really mad about that. Youâre a little too close to him now to really be angry.
Neteyamâs gaze softens as he looks back at you. âOkay, fine. I guess I did. My dad always called me âthe mighty fisherman.ââ
âSo there was nothing to be taught.â You bite your lip. âThen why did you want me here? Other than to impress me.â
Neteyam pauses for a moment, and then grins a little, having been caught, staring down at your mouth. âWould it be fair if I said I like having you around?â
âSure, but you could have just said that instead of pretending you needed to be taught anything.â You smile upwards at him, and you come a little too close- any closer and Neteyamâs nose would be brushing your own.
âI still do. I canât swim as well as you do.â Neteyam sighs, and the little puff of breath hits your cheek. You feel yourself turn warm under Neteyamâs gaze- itâs a lot to take in at once- itâs like heâs staring at you as if youâre some impossibly amazing girl.
âNo one can swim as well as me.â You laugh a little, but Neteyam looks even more enamoured by that, his eyes not once leaving your face. âMy dad named me Payo- little fish- when I was just a couple days old. I was already swimming a lot back then.â
âHmm. Fisherman-â He points to himself.Â
âFish.â He points at you. âSee what Iâm getting at?â
âDork.â You try to pull away, knowing that he means something along the lines of catching you. You roll your eyes, smirking, but Neteyam doesnât let go of your arms.
He grasps your face, pulling you close, and leans in, pressing his mouth against yours. Your eyes widen, and you close them, letting Neteyamâs lips move against your own.Â
When you kiss back, you both begin to sink under the water, as youâre not treading anymore. You think you should pull Neteyam upwards, but he stays firmly in place, kissing you softly, and you wrap your arms around his neck, not trying to go anywhere.
/
Tuk is swimming around in circles as Tsireya tries to wrangle her correctly.
Tsireya gently grabs her hand, and motions to swim forward. Tuk eagerly does so, knowing that Tsireya promised to show her some of the rainbow coloured pools that shimmer underwater.Â
Tsireya doesnât notice it at first, but Tuk suddenly grabs her arm, little grunts coming out of her as she tries to call her attention.
What is it? Tsireya signs, and Tuk points just beyond the seaweed. Tsireya looks through, pushing aside a strand with her arms.
Itâs you and Neteyam, both just floating underwater as youâre stuck together in what looks to be a very intimate embrace. His hands are tracing your chin and jaw, and your arms are gathered around his neck. Your lips are moving in sync- youâre in an entirely different world together.
Tsireya opens her mouth in surprise- and laughs. Tuk starts making sounds, and Neteyam and you both let go of each other, hearing the disturbance. You wave at them.
You all swim upwards, needing air, and Neteyam is the one whoâs easily embarrassed, so heâs already putting his face in his hands, while you keep your arm around his side.
âSo. What were you two up to underwater?â Tsireya teases, and you giggle as Neteyamâs arm comes around your waist.Â
âJust fishing, I guess.â You reply, and Tuk laughs, a mischievous look working itâs way onto her face.
âIâm telling mom!â She swims forward, and Neteyam groans.Â
âThis is gonna be fun.â He sighs.

Chapter Summary: After weeks of denying it Aoânung decided to finally confess after the near experience of losing you alongside your older brother.
CW: Nothing but two hopelessly in love Navisâ confessing to each other, kissing, fluff obviously
You fluttered your eyes open and saw the ceiling of your room. You didn't want to get out of bed, but you needed to check on your friends is they were okay. You turned your head to the side when you heard a knock and the door opened, revealing Aoânung ung. "Hey." He greeted. "Did you sleep well?"
You sat up and sighed. "I guess so." You replied. "I actually woke up earlier, had a bath, and then went back to sleep." You stifled a laugh. "I didn't have a proper sleep in the past few nights and, surprisingly, I didn't have any dreams today."
"Well, that's good... I guess." Aoânung approached you with a smile as he walked into your room. "How's your head?"
"Good." You raised your hand to pat the back of your head until you winced, prompting Aoânung to spring forward to check on you. "Ow. Okay, maybe not." You chuckled sheepishly.
"Why would you even pat your head to check your injury?" Aoânung scolded you a little as he climbed into your bed and examined the back of your head. His concern made you warm up a little. "You had me worried sick last night."
As Aoânung pulled away and sat in front of you, you stared at him in surprise. "You... you were worried sick about me?"
Aoânung nodded. "Well, yeah. You were using your strength to stop an evil sky demon. That's dangerous."
You shrugged as you smiled at him. "It's all worth it if it means I get to sacrifice myself to save all of you."
As he touched your hands, Aoânung shook his head. "No, no, no. I don't want you to sacrifice yourself, okay? I don't want to lose you and I'm not going to lose you."
You stared at Aoânung in shock as he glanced down, rethinking his life choices all of a sudden. He huffed. "Why am I so talkative?" He grumbled to himself. Aoânung returned your stare while adjusting his posture. "Remember when I said... about surviving and telling you something?"
You nodded silently and Aoânung nodded back. "Okay, so, um..." He stammered as he returned his attention to your hands, gently caressing your knuckles "The reason why... I sort of became protective of you and starting hanging out with you more recently is because..." He gulped. "I see you."
Aoânung's confession rendered you speechless, and you thought you'd stopped breathing. Aoânung continued with his confession. "And... I think Ive seen you for a while,but... I was in denial. It took me a while to realize it until I started messing with your siblings..."
'No, no. This can't be real.' You thought to yourself in panic. 'Is this real? This is too good to be real. If this is just a dream, just wake me up.'
"And this isn't a dream, in case you're wondering."
'Fuck.'
Aoânung locked his gaze on you as you sought to digest his confession into your mind. The voice in your head was eerily quieter than usual, which made you feel relieved but also anxious. "(Y/n)?" Aoânung asked, shaking your hand to bring you back to reality.
"Surely, I must be dreaming, right?" You nervously chuckled as tears welled up in your eyes. "No way can this be real. I've had these kinds of dreams before and I'm not falling for them again."
Aoânung suddenly felt bad after hearing your words. He couldn't tell you what was going on in your dreams, so he shook his head and stroked your cheeks to reassure you. "No, no. This is real. I promise. I'm sorry if this feels like one of your dreams, I assure you this one isn't."
You took a deep breath and carefully held his hands in yours to check if they were real. In your dreams, every time you tried to clasp his hand, it would slip through your fingers and Aoânung would vanish right before your eyes. You closed your eyes, sighing in relief as you nodded. "Yeah, I guess this is real..." You stared into his eyes when you opened your eyes. "I almost cried for nothing. Sorry for being dramatic."
You and Aoânung shared a short laugh as he leaned his forehead against yours. You clutched onto his hands as you sighed. "Aoânung , I..." You gulped. "I like you too, but..." You admitted.
"Are you not ready yet? Because I can wait as long as it takesâ"
"No, I want to... but I got issues and I don't want you getting involvedâ"
"Then we'll face them together." He interrupted. "I'll face anything as long as I get to be with you."
You broke into a smile. "That's too romantic for a nerd like you, future Olo'eyktan."
Aoânung shrugged as he smiled back. "You do things to me that I can never even imagine myself doing. And you bringing my romantic side is one of them."
"That's so cheesy." You snickered, causing Aoânung's smile to grow bigger. "But you love it." Aoânung teased.
The two of you stared into each other's eyes again as you felt him moving closer. "Can I... kiss you? Again?"
You had a flashback about your first kiss. The kiss that you felt that he did out of pity because you haven't had your first one before. You were terrified he'd do it again, but after hearing his confession and now hearing him plead for permission, you felt butterflies swarming within your stomach. You nodded as you smiled.
As soon as you gave your consent, Aoânung closed the distance between your lips and his and took a firm grip on the back of your neck, holding you carefully. You kissed him back and felt your hands placing themselves on his chest. As his hand stroked softly on your head to avoid causing you any harm, you felt yourself leaning back on your pillow, not wanting to break the kiss. The two of you broke the kiss for a minute when you realized that Aoânung was now on top of you. You looked up to him with big doe eyes as you breathed heavily.
Your lips connected with his once more, and you felt his hand move to your neck while yours moved to his hair. You had no idea where this was heading, but it didn't matter to you at the moment. You wanted to cherish this moment in case something unexpected happened after all of this is over. You pulled away causing Aoânung to widen his eyes in complete concern. "What?" He asked worriedly. "Were we moving too fast? Did I scare you?"
You shook your head. "No, no." You replied. "I-I just wanted to say that this... we can't say this to everyone. At least not yet. After what happened last night, I don't think this is the best time to tell what we have right now."
"What do we have right now?" Aoânung asked with a playful smirk.
"I don't know, are we together now?" You asked back with a smile.
"Sounds good to me," Aoânung whispered huskily before planting his lips against yours once more, unable to hide the fact that he couldn't get enough of the sensation. You removed his hair from out its bun running your hands through it as you smiled in the kiss and set your hair-tie on the side if your bed.
Bonus Scene:
âWhat the hell is going on?!â You and Aoânung quickly turned around meeting your dads hard stare as he observed the scene and growled glaring holes into Aoânungâs head.
âUh hey dadâ You slowly slip off your bed and hug his arms looking at him trying to lessen his glare but he held still and walked towards your new mate.
âI want you out right now and properly dressed we have dinner later and I expect the bestâ He dragged a wincing and wheezing Neteyam out the doorway as he laughed at your embarrassed state while you flipped him off.
âSo is the mood gone?â Aoânung appeared behind you as you turned around and smacked him while pushing him out the door cursing him out in English.

ooooooooooooh okie Im gonna love doing this one! Sit back and enjoy~!!
-------------
Tilayro
It is now or never. She can't handle another day for as long as he is around. Quickly and silently tilayro packs only the basics that she needs. Making sure she doesn't alert anyone in her home. She hopes that one day, her family will forgive for what she was about to do. May Eywa forgive her.Â
Guilt threatens to rise up at the back of her throat, tilayro quickly shakes her head, no, now is not the time to doubt or have second thoughts. She will never have another chance like now.Â
Making sure she has everything, taking one last look at her home, tilayro leaves. Running down the beach to where her skimwing is, quickly connecting with her dear friend, tilayro leaves. Making the daring move to leave the borders. Leaving her home and all that she ever knew. But this had to be done. Tilayro would rather do anything else than be forced to mate with a man who will never see her as she is.Â
Neteyam slowly wakes up, letting his eyes adjust to the light in his home. Letting out a yawn, he gets up silently, as much as he could. His arm was tugged by his beloved mate who still sleeps soundly beside him. It truly never gets old, waking up and the first thing he sees is the love of his life. How did neteyam get so lucky? He thanks Eywa every day for having his beloved by his side.Â
âMmnnâŠstayâŠâ he hears her whisper, reaching out to grab his other arm.Â
Neteyam chuckles, how can he resist her?Â
He lays down once again as she gets closer to his warmth. Taking in her scent, neteyam lets himself be wrapped around with her arms. Its still early. He can attend his duties a little later.Â
Tonowari and his family along with a few clan members were getting ready for their long trip to the forest. Tsireya was pretty excited to meet a whole different clan and explore areas she never thought she would see. Ronal kept neutral of it, but tonowari can tell she looks forward to it. Aoânung seems to rather stay and leave.Â
âWhy must I go? It has nothing to do with meâ aoânung complains for the hundredth time. Tonowari sighs for the hundredth time that day.Â
âIt has everything to do with you. You are the clan's future oloâeyktan, as well as tsireya being the future tsahik, so you have no option but to come as wellâ tonowari explains. Aoânung just sighs and packs whatever he needs to pack.Â
âNo option, it seemed she did,â he muttered.Â
Tonowari quickly turned to face his son again, âaoânung, I know it still bothers you but its been 2 years now, your mother will look for a better match for youâÂ
âBetter match, there will be no other like her and she is gone, a coward she wasâ aoânung said with spite and hate in his voice.Â
He still hasnt gotten over it. Still hurt from what the girl did. Tonowari understands his son.Â
His betrothed ran away before they were able to be one.Â
âThats it, keep moving your legs to stay afloat. Tuk dont stop moving your armsâ tilayro was swimming at a remote lake with some small naâvi children. Teaching them the basics of swimming, along with tuk who is her best student in the group.Â
Seeing the position of the sun, it was time to end the lessons.Â
âAlright everyone, lets get you all to the edge, come on come onâ she tells while gently guiding them back on land. She makes sure they are all dry and drops them off to their families when they reach the village. Tilayro likes teaching the children how to swim, its part of her since birth.Â
âTil!â tuk jumps up and down as she holds her hand making their way to the sully home.Â
âAre you excited?? Aren't you arent you?â tuk asks rather excitedly.Â
Tilayro giggles, âyes Im excited, its not everyday we meet a whole new clanâÂ
Weeks back Jake and moâat announced they will be expanding their alliances to other regions of pandora. One of the first clans they managed to get in touch with is a reef clan. Its specific name has not reached tilayroâs ears yet but was given the position to assist when the clan arrives. Teach them how to adjust in the forest climate and environment.Â
âMaybe you will see your family again?â tuk asks, imagining seeing more of tilayroâs people.Â
âWho knows?â she responded, but secretly, she wishes she would never see anyone from the metkayina clan ever again.
Few days have passed and everyone in the clan prepares to welcome the coming clan that will hopefully be a new ally to the omatikaya.Â
Neteyam, being stressed out of his mind, is forgetting things all over their home.Â
âThe feathers, where are they??â he mutters to himself.Â
âRight here my loveâ tilayro giggles lightly as she places the elegant feathers in his braided hair. She makes sure he looks presentable, first impressions are everything. Checking every detail is good and perfect. Her love is perfect. Truly embodied that of a warrior.Â
âDon't be so nervous maânete, everything will be alright. If eywa allows it, all will be wellâ she says to comfort neteyam. He sighs deeply, bringing her hands up to his face. Her teal blue skin met his dark blue. A stark contrast in shades but when together, they blend beautifully.Â
Neteyam stays silent, just feeling her hands bring great relief.Â
He moves a bit to wrap his arms around her, holding her tight. Stroking her hair, smelling more of her natural salty sea scent mixed with that of her favorite fruit, all his anxiety washes away. Only bliss and relief takes over his heart.Â
âPlease stay beside me, I need you thereâ he begs.Â
Tilayro smiles, âof course, I will always be there for youâÂ
Calls echoed throughout the forest, alarms and signals were being given. The reef clan has arrived and are being guided towards the omatikaya village. Jake, Neytiri and moâat were at the border to welcome the reef clan.Â
Greeting each other, Tonowari smiles, feeling very privileged and honored to stand before the legend himself. His family greeting the same, all a bit nervous as they are clearly out of their comfort zone.Â
âToruk makto, it is a great honor to meet youâ tonowari says.Â
Jake pats him on the shoulder, âjake is fine, it is also an honor to meet you face to faceâÂ
Pleasantries were said, aoânung trying his best to look like an adult to his family and the oloâeyktan.Â
Moâat guided them into the village, many omatikaya were very welcoming and gave gifts to the reef naâvi. They all felt welcomed and easily enjoyed this whole new side of pandora they never seen.Â
Aoânung especially.Â
The forest is beautiful, the village even more. Animals he has never seen or heard of were there right before his eyes. How the people behave and look, their style is so different. He was starting to enjoy it. Until he wasn't.Â
âHello, my name is neteyam. This is my mate, tilayroâ
She promised she would be by neteyamâs side. Always. But at this moment, she wanted to run away and hide in the darkest cave the forest has.Â
She has to be dreaming, this isnt real!Â
Aoânung was standing before her, being shocked as much as she was.Â
âYourâŠmateâŠ?â he asks very silently.Â
Tilayro can feel her heart pounding against her chest, its drumming rhythm going against her ears. Sweat started to form from her forehead. She can pass out at any moment.Â
âYes, we have been together for 2 years nowâÂ
OH how tilayor wishes for neteyam to stop talking right now. He is giving more fuel to aoânung without even knowing.Â
Even he seems to be confused by the sudden change of the boy in front of him.Â
Until suddenly, aoânungâs teal blue eyes stared straight into tilayroâs eyes. Feeling cold chills run down her spin. He is angry, very angry. Feeling his anger rise, she needed to say something, anything!Â
âSo this is where you have been this whole timeâŠâ was all he said before punches were being thrown.
A huge crowd was forming in the middle of the village, tonowari, ronal, moâat, jake and neytiri had to stop what they were doing to see what was going on.Â
To tonowari and ronalâs horror, they see their son aoânung fighting with the oloâeyktans son, neteyam.Â
âHey hey hey!â jake called out. He and tonowari quickly get through the crowd and towards their own sons. Both of them were a bloody mess. Neytiri notices tilayro and tsireya crying in distress of what they witnessed. Kiri was there to comfort them both but neytiri still heads over to make sure they are ok.Â
âWhat happened?!â tonowari demanded to know from aoânung.Â
His son had a bloody nose, scratches on his shoulders and a black eye forming already. But his words seemed to fall on deaf ears as aoânung was ready to pounce on neteyam again.Â
Neteyam in return looked ready for round two until tilayro got in their way.Â
âYou!! You mated with him?!â aoânung shouted, accusing her like she did a heinous act.Â
Tilayro was shaking but stood her ground, protecting neteyam.Â
âI did! We mated before Eywa! It is done and there is nothing you can do about it!âÂ
Aoânung can only stare at her, as thought she betrayed him in the worst way possible. He couldn't form any more words once she said it.Â
âOh shitâŠâ was what came out of kiriâs mouth, quickly piecing together what is happening.Â
Jake, while still holding neteyam back, stared at neytiri who understood what he was feeling.Â
[I'm getting a sense of major deja vu right now] he thought.
Within the massive tent that had the leaders inside including neteyam, aoânung and tilayro inside, no one was happy with what occurred. It was a serious situation that could tear what little could be salvaged between the omatikaya and the metkayina.Â
While tonowari is furious with his son, same with ronal, both were beyond shocked to see tilayro living among the forest naâvi. And mated no less. That in itself brought more confusion.Â
âStart talking boy, I want a clear honest answerâ jake demanded. He was in no mood for humor or light hearted jabs. Kid or not, someone threatened his son, and to an extension, his daughter in law.Â
Aoânung looked down at his hands, feeling shamed for what he did. Letting his emotions get to him, but just seeing tilayro brought a wave of new found anger he thought he could never with hold.Â
âForgive me sir, I let my mind be shrouded in emotions. I should have never beatin your son and cause a gap between our clansâ aoânung says.Â
Jake was not satisfied.Â
âLet me be more clear, I want an explanation, not an apology. Why did you attack me son?âÂ
Tonowari and ronal shared a look of concern, yes what their son did was horrible but they fear what punishment the oloâeyktan would do once aoânung confesses.Â
âTilayroâŠâ aoânung begins to say. Remembering his short time with her back at his home.Â
âWhen your son said tilayro is his mate, I lost all control. I grew mad, angry and jealous. I shouldn't, but I did. Not liking it, I punched your son out of my own selfishness. I am sorry. I will accept any punishment you will give meâÂ
Neytiri leaned forward a bit, âwhat is tilayro to you?â she asks.
âWe were arranged to mate,â tilayro starts to say.Â
She and neteyam were back at the comfort and safety of their home. She does her best to heal his wounds while making sure to not inflict anymore pain.Â
âMy family and his believed it would be good if I and aoânung were to be together. He was already chosen to be the metkayinaâs next oloâeyktan. He just needed a tsahik. I was unfortunately the oneâÂ
Neteyam didn't speak, letting her say what happened 2 years ago.Â
He remembers exactly the day he met her. She was lost, had no knowledge of the forest and was scared of everything. Tilayro clearly stood out for how her body was different from the forest naâvi. Wider arms and lets, a thicker tail.Â
He remembers helping her adjust, remembers being close to her, remembers how he fell in love with the mysterious aquatic naâvi.Â
âFor how long were you arrangedâŠâ he asks softly.Â
âHmmâŠfor a long while. I thought it would work. That I could be a good wife and a good tsahik to our clan. I was foolish. They had us spend more time together. In a way I was glad, because I was able to aoânungâs true sideâÂ
Neteyam observes his mateâs expressions closely, her eyes filled with sadness and her body movement slow and not really concentrated.Â
âWhat was he like?âÂ
Just from beating the shit out of that fish boy, neteyam concluded that aoânung currently is still a child who has no control of his emotions. Still holding some grudge and won't let go of things no matter how long ago it was.Â
âSelfish. A brute, always wanting to be praised and having his ego strokedâ tilayro lists as she rolls her eyes.Â
Neteyam slightly smirked, âisn't that what you do with-âÂ
âI'm still talkingâÂ
âYes maâamâÂ
âHe always took me somewhere that mostly had his bunch of friends. Really I think those friends only hung around with aoânung simply because he is tonowariâs son. He always showed off to me, to an extent its fine. But he did it way too much. And it was all about him, for him, to him. He never had a moment to spare for me. Never properly courted me. So I came to the conclusion that we aren't fit. I could not for the life of me spend my life with someone like himâŠso IâŠ.leftâÂ
A tear fell from her face, âI left one night and never looked back. But I don't regret it. If I hadnlt leftâŠI wouldn't have met youâÂ
Neteyam brought tilayro closer and gave her a loving kiss on her sweet lips.Â
âIm glad you did. You are the best thing to ever happen to me and I think Eywa every day for thatâ he says.Â
They shared a few more kisses before he picked her up and spun her around. Laughter filled the air once more.Â
A few days later the metkyaina packed their stuff to head back to their home. What happened tarnished what was supposed to changed their lives for the better. Aoânung felt ashamed. He did throw the first punch. Now he must deal with the consequences.Â
But seeing tilayro, even from a distance, is panged his heart.Â
He wasnt good to her, he knows that now. But aoânung secretly did care for tilayro. How he showed it wasnt the best. Look where it lead to now. But he couldnt leave without saying anything to her. It was no or never.Â
âWhere are you going?â ronal asks her son, seeing him make his way to neteyam and tilayro. She panics, thinking what worse can her son do.Â
That omatikaya warriors were quick to stand in front of the couple, not letting aonung get close.Â
âPlease, I wish to say something. I promise to not cause anymore harmâ he pleads.Â
IT was a long minute before neteyam hesitantly agreed.Â
Aoânung slowly gets closer to the couple, he bows his head.Â
âIm sorry for punching you. It was not my place to say terrible things and much less hurting you. I know I ruined everything and I will work on improving myselfâ he says.Â
Neteyam didnt say anything, only a mere hum.Â
Then aoânung turned to tilayro who was showing fear in her eyes.Â
âIm sorryâŠfor everything. I know I didn't do a lot to show I was good for you. That I hardly put any attention on you like you deserveâŠI did and still do care for you tilayro. Im sorry I never showed it until it was too lateâÂ
Tilayro can feel the genuine honesty coming from him, he was messing with her. He was being truthful, which is something she thought she would never see from aoânung.Â
âPlease, treat her well. Tilayro is a good person, too good even for meâÂ
Aoânung and neteyam shake hands, âthank youâ he spoke.Â
One last looked was shared before aoânung left to join his clan. Not looking back, aoânung and the metkayina begin their journey back home. The omatikaya looked after them.Â
Neteyam wraps his arm around tilayro, wanting to feel her skin touching his.Â
âHe is right, you are a good person my love. A good woman, a good mate. Even I must confess, I am glad he wasn't the one for youâÂ
Tilayro releases a light giggle, placing her head on his chest.Â
âYou will always be the one for me neteyamâÂ
Choosing what she wants and how she wants, tilayro knows that is the best feeling. Having the freedom to whom to love and be genuin.Â
Aaaaaaand that was it for this one! I hope you all liked it! Until next time! See ya!
---------
Tilayro = freedom

"Protecter" Metkayina fam x daughter reader
Summary: The eldest daughter of Ronal is very protective, so when the Sully's arrived, trust that her dislike for them were bigger than both her mothers and little brother.
TW: Mention of death, slight family issues
Being Ronal and Tonawari's eldest daughter, you were held responsible for a lot of things. Responsible for your actions, responsible for your lessons and how to keep balance with all of them, because you have a LOT.
But most of all, you felt deeply responsible for the safety of your clan, your family. Before Tsireya and Aonung were born, you were reckless, always doing whatever, whenever you wanted. But your reckless behavior had meaning to it, all those extreme tricks you did with your Skimwing and Ilu were not just to show off. It was to prepare, to gain knowledge of what could work and what could not work in certain situations.
After passing your Iknimaya and finally becoming a warrior, that was around the time Aonung was born. Your father had spoken with you about changing your ways, be safer, was what he was practically saying in his one our lecture.
You didn't argue back, seeing as you were Aonung's eldest sister, you were a warrior, best in their village and in their clan. And you were getting older, no longer a child, you abandoned your reckless ways and made sure to follow the rules, to show Aonung how a true warrior is to act.
When the Sully's arrived, you were not in Awa'atulu. You were beyond the reff, making sure the sky demons were not near the nest the Tulkuns had made. And if the sky demons were near, it was your job and others to alert the Tulkuns and help them move to another loction.
When arriving back home, you demanded to have a meeting with your father and mother.
"Have you both gone mad!?" You were not very happy when you had gotten word of Toruk Makto and his family being here. And seeing them at the beech when you and the other young warriors came back for the season.
It didn't look right for them to be there. And all of this didn't feel right to you either. Yes, you respect Jake Sully for the warrior he was back in the rain forests. But now, the sky demons have come back, and knowing his story and why he had come here, you just hope the Sully's respect your dislike of them being here.
"The Sully's are only here for sanctuary daughter. Jake Sully-"
"Jake Sully brings war father, war brings death . . . death brings hate and hate causes more death!" You had cut your father off as you burst out in anger. Ronal stayed silent, her eyes closed as she slowly rubbed her baby bump when you had mentioned death and war.
The Marui was silent for a moment. Tonawari sighed, nodding his head. Your father signaled you to come closer, you did as told and kneeled down with him.
"I understand your worries and doubts, but my daughter--" Tonawari held your hand in his "--They are a family in need. We cannot simply turn them away. If our family were in their situation-"
"We are not like them." You were quick to cut Tonawari off. Your nose scrunched up in distaste.
"Yes, but if. If were seeking Uturu, they would have done the same and welcomed us in." Your father truly did want you to be at ease and just welcome the Sully family in and help them adapt.
"You don't know that. . . we don't know this family."
"No, my daughter, you don't know this family. You have been gone for these past sessions, so you are to help your siblings teach the Sully children our ways."
You looked at your father as if he really has gone crazy, you glanced to your mother. The two of you stared into each other's eyes. By the looks of it, your mother was practically telling you to give in, no use of arguing against it.
You gave out a deep, depressing sigh and agreed. Leaving the Marui.
Ronal and Tonawari watched as you left. "She has good reasons to act this way." Ronal spoke. Tonawari sighed and closed his eyes. He understands your protectiveness, the sky demons have hurt you before, and it is only reasonable for you to not want the hurt the sky demons inflected on you, to happen again.
The first time the Sully family heard of you, you were this great warrior that went beyond great lengths for the safety of her people, making new arrangements, making sure the other Metkyina spirit brothers and sisters were safe from the sky demons.
You looked a lot like Tonawari, but you acted a lot like Ronal.
You were a little rough when it came to teaching the Sully's. You didn't like talking to them much, only interfering if someone strayed too far or if you saw that it was time to take a break so the Sully kids can catch their breath.
"Sister?" Tsireya spoke as she entered your Marui. You glanced at her and gave her a small nod, which she returned one of her own.
"Stop moving, Tsyava." You mumbled as you tightened the wrappings on the Na'vi man. "Ow! . . .Tsireya, can you please tell your sister to be gentle with me?" Tsyava begged.
Tsireya giggled "She is your mate Tsyava, this is a problem between the both of you."
You chuckled as you gave your little sister a smirk. Your mate sighed, knowing that this was useless.
"What did you come for, little sister?" You spoke as you finished up.
"Well . . . sister, something has happened with Lo'ak." Tsireya watched as you cleaned up the martials you used. Your mate sat himself up and started to do his own chores around the marui.
"Lo'ak? that Sully boy, right? what about him, did Anoung cause trouble again.?'' Your nose scrunched up as your voice became a little harsher.
"No, no, no! . . . Sister, Lo'ak has interacted with Payakan."
The room went stiff. Tsyava glanced at you and continued with his chores. You clenched your jaw, not looking up at Tsireya as you continued to clean.
"Sister, Payakan saved him! confided in Lo'ak and-and if things continue-"
"Payakan is a murder. By the Tulkun law, and our law." You stood up and put the materials away. Tsireya's ears pinned back. She stood in place, fidgeting with her fingers.
Tsireya knows how you are. Your loyal and firm to the rules of the people. If you didn't decide to step down for the role as chief, you would have been close to be the first female chief in the clan, but you fell for Tsyava, and the man doesn't like to be the center of attention 24/7.
A meeting was called. When you arrived, that is when you found out about the problem.
"You allowed him to bond with the outcast!?" Ronal was distressed, and very angered at her children, you stood off to the side as you watched your siblings and the Sully boy get scolded.
Tonawari explained the history of the Tulkun. You have heard the story multiple times. It is a story that you will always keep in mind, the story represents your morals and reasons for safety.
"I'm sorry sir. . . but your wrong."
"Lo'ak!" Lo'aks mother hissed at him for being disrespectful to the chief. "I know what I know."
This made you scoff.
"You know nothing boy." You finally spoke. The tension in the air was too much. Tsireya thought she was going to cry if you didn't speak any longer. Your silence was scarcer than your burst of anger.
"I know the story of Payakan . . . I was there." Your hard expression softens when you focused on the Sully boy. "I lost many friends . . . I lost my own spirit sister."
You shifted yourself a little closer to Lo'ak and put your hand on his shoulder. "I understand that the rules seem unjust. But the rules keep us safe. Keeps your family safe." You stood up, ready to leave this suffocating meeting.
"So please, do your family and our clan a favor and don't be another young soul we have to return to Eywa." Your voice became bitter, you then looked at both Tsireya and Aonung, but mainly on Tsireya.
You gave her a look and shook your head in disappointment before leaving.
A lot of people don't blame you for the many lives that were lost that day. Saying that you were just a child, but so was Payakan! He was a child that had his mother taken from him.
You know if your mother was taken from you in such a way, you would do the same thing. When you lost that first battle you ever had, you lost a lot.
Lives had to be lost to see that the rules are important and are there for a reason. You don't want anyone to suffer the same as you did. No matter what tribe they came from, losing a sister like that was the worst feeling.
So, you follow the rules, make more rules if needed. As long as everyone is safe, alive. Thats all that matters. Because you're the eldest daughter of Ronal and Tonawari. You were meant to protect, and that is just what you'll do.
