Reposted from @tshaw_designs With a band name like Dogs In A Pile, how could I not? This series was actually a really fun challenge from what I will call a "printmaking efficiency" standpoint... I reached out to the band to see if they wanted a poster for their show at @palmroomwb a few miles from my house, and I sent them an early proof of the beach scene. They loved it, but wanted to add the Raleigh and Asheville dates so they could use them for the whole NC run. Seeing as though Raleigh and Asheville don't have beaches or palm trees, my wheels started turning...I opted to use the same screens for the sky and water for all three prints, but each show got it's own black screen for a unique keyline. In the end, I cut what would have been 9 screens down to just 5. Work smart, not hard! An edition of just 20 prints will be available this week at each show. I'll have a very small online release afterwards. This piece pays homage to the fact that for the first time since 2019, it’s finally happening…we are back! An edition of 98 prints on Manila Yellow Kraft paper will be available at the event (the year TRPS was founded).
