the stupidest thing kit convinced himself of is that he was forgotten by ty. bc dear kit, we are talking about the ty that slept outside your door to make you feel safe and at home after your father’s death? the one who gave you your first rune? the one who was desperate for you to be the watson to his sherlock? the person who gifted you your first witchlight so you would feel like a true shadowhunter? who seeks you out for comfort whenever he’s overstimulated or stressed? the one who tries to wear his headphones less around you so he can hear all the interesting things you have to say? the one who didn’t only bring back his dead sister for himself but also bc he was convinced you were in love with her? and who then was practically begging you to forgive him the one time you saw each other at blackthorn hall? we are talking about that ty blackthorn, aren’t we? the one who supposedly forgot about you? yeah ok

(out of all the characters in tsc i probably relate to ty the most so this was so much fun to create! i love imagining ty’s bedroom and all the bits and bobs he collects)

I don't know about you, but I desperately hope that Kit and Ty's relationship is one where they can eventually freely joke and be playful with each other. I want Ty to be one of the only people that can really get to Kit to fully laugh and vice versa. I want them to embody this art by the end of The Last Shadowhunter. (But also this is perfect for how they'd be dressed in Faerie!!)
