Just so everyone here on my blog knows: I allow ANY character hate here, not just Taurus I accept character appreciation, confessions, ships and all that, I just named it the "Taurus hate club" because I honestly hate Taurus and just wanted to name it that-(not changing it either) Though I may not be able to say anything on the matter I'll still post whatever character hate/appreciation/confessions/ships/etc. people give me :D

well guys, it's been officially a week later since the end of the "birthday party" event. crazy it already flew by fast but formerly something i really wanted to say from the very start: thank you.

quite frankly i know i could've just made a simple thank you text as a normal person does, but i wanted to really to show my gratitude by giving something nice. and that something nice was the discord server until... my chaotic brain decided to make a daily week event inspired by scott cawthon UIGHJDSXUKGJH but otherwise- i hope everyone enjoyed tuning in everyday and i've personally been having a blast talking and hanging out with everyone since.

now, i got my secret final card up my sleeve that i've been wanting to do. was to give back something to some specific folks. amazing folks. folks that one: were my introduction to this amazing smg4 community, and two: friends i've made that has genuinely changed my life for the better, and three: been the greatest support i could've ever asked. it's still insane to me that i knew my life would be changed the moment i clicked on a youtube video of someone yapping about a specific blue and purple character from a gmod meme show and if they would work canonical. following up with me just 3 hrs later my first fanart doodle for myself. with just recently that moment being so happy i reached 100 followers on here... if you would've told me four months later that it'll exceedingly grow 10x i would laugh at you and walked away... you guys are insane in the best way possible it has scared me to death, but never have i done better improving my skills and mental health.

@theartistisme43 you were the, if not one of, my first exposure to the community on twitter when i was looking for fanart on day one. i remember vividly being so captivated by your smg4 au by implementing sign language to your smg4 rigs. especially cause despite i've been meaning to relearn sign language for years, it has a special place in my heart for personal reasons. i remember being so obsessed with your animations replaying it again and again and adoring your art style so much. i've been {and still am} really shy expressing my feelings but seriously man i genuinely love your work so, so, SO much. it's still insane to me how you get the unfortunate rope under your feet by some nasty ass fools on twitter, but ong, they're just so jealous our your gmod rigging talent and storytelling. seriously man keep going!! always excited to see what you cooking up next! 💛

........Considering everything that's been going on with Kat, and probably other female VAs too, I feel like we should do something to show some form of appreciation to them for all the work they do. People, for one reason or another, just have this weird dislike for female characters, which isn't cool, and it takes a huge toll on the VAs when they put so much of their heart and soul into said characters

I know DCA-tober is a thing people do for just. Regular fnaf Sun and Moon. But like.... what if we had a month like that, but centered around the many characters we have in the entirety of TSBS that are female presenting/identifying? Like Earth, Pollux, Nebula, Dazzle, Roxanne, Cassie, Circus Baby, Glamrock Ballora, fem presenting Monty, Puppet, etc. All females included. I think that'd be really cool to do

[QUICK RANT ABOUT QUEER REPRESENTATION IN TSAMS/TSBS SHOWS]

TSAMS

Uh. I don't like it. Aroace Moon? Cool. Absolutely valid, we love him for that. Wasn't adressed much except in a few episodes which are pretty good, I liked the one where he rejects Foxy a lot!

But recently- g e e z. I understand wanting to bait people in with ships people want! Specifically KidsCove. Same in tmgafs! But the problem is that they do it not just to tease/mess around with the viewers in good fun, they genuinely seem to hate the shippers and actually want to make fun of them? Not just with kidscove but with any other ship that isn't canon. They don't even want to confirm Sun's sexuality, just constantly making it a gag that he has a bisexual flag in his room. Which as a queer person? It's just annoying. Just really annoying ? Please all we want is a confirmation or something? We want queer characters we can actually relate to. And we don't really get that :( Then New Moon came along and said it was possible he wasn't aroace. . . And then they never mentioned it again. So why mention it in the first place ? I don't think I would've minded it if he had just changed how much attraction he felt but was STILL aroace/on the aroace spectrum. As long as it was actually clarified. But they seemed eager to rush to his evil era so they didn't bother to close to any lose ends before hand, though I guess being aroace might've just not been as relevant.

On a bit of a side note- Ruin feels very gay coded. Very gay. There is no way he's straight T.T he's a villain but he's a zesty man and we absolutely adore him for that!!

That was probably an accident, though. Every theatre kid seems gay! /lhj

Just overall upsets me that the VAs seem to act offended by the mere idea of shipping characters? As if that's not a common/vital part of every fandom.

Upsets me that they can't clarify Puppets identity or pronouns? [Or maybe they have recently but I genuinely doubt it]

Because who are they meant to actually represent ?? It's probably just me but I wish it was more clear or something. I appreciate the VA for trying I do though, absolutely love that guy[Foxy’s VA, genuinely seems to just be a chill guy. And I think it's really cool that he actually does roles that could come off very cringe, voicing most of the cringe dimension characters +struggling with Puppets voice for the longest time.] I just wanna know if Puppet is a trans fem queen or trans masc slay or just trans ? But nothing seems to be clarified.

Again with KidsCove? Genuinely just annoying how they blatantly just do it to make fun of the people who ship them and get views from them.

Foxy seemed to have been gay before his memory loss. Or was at the very least interested in men to an extent. But since he began to be the main character of a show he suddenly only likes women?? S u s. They really keep insisting he's extremely straight and genuinely just annoys me that they erased him being interested in men [Proved he liked men in the episode he asked Moon out.]

. . .now. . . M o n t y. As a genderfluid person? I hate them and literally feel more represented and seen by cis characters from other shows. For the longest time Monty being genderfluid wasn't even adressed and was usually just brought up for plot reasons or something? And it pissed me of that every time they correct a character on Monty's pronouns.. they immediately go back to using he/him pronouns. I think the new fem body is pretty neat! Though I think it would've been more interesting for Monty to stay masc but ACTUALLY get their right pronouns used and their identity getting genuinely respected DESPITE of their appearance. But the body? It's genuinely completely fine! /gen I used to hate my body too and understand that the writers might've thought it might be easier for people if they just used a different body completely! But it annoys me that my gender representation comes in the form of M o n t y. The annoying character known for constantly hating on others and partially destroying their lives. Anyone can be genderfluid, yes. But when the representation is so little? I just wish it was at least a bit better or with a less hateable character.

Lunar! Uh. Again can we just get clarification on his sexuality? Is he polyamorous? Bisexual? Omnisexual? Just any clarification please?

Gemini! I wish they were canon nonbinary. They're literally stars. Why did they have to be gendereddd. Also curious about their 'sexuality'? Will also likely never get clarification on it :/

OTHER SHOWS/SIDE NOTES

Roxanne is canon lesbian and so is Glamrock Chica! I'm so sorry but I forgot his name T~T I think it was Tiger Rock[??] Is also canonically gay! Glam Chica has a girlfriend! And I do think their relationship is pretty cute [from what I've seen] and overall wish I would finally get to watching the show a bit more! Funtime Foxy feels very queer to me? Not just because his design is pink but his overall characterization! He does have a girlfriend! But he seems to be comfortable in his own identity and presentation from what I've seen? At least, it seems to be more comfortable than some o t h e r characters. I feel more represented by Funtime Foxy and Lolbit than I ever felt represented by Monty. But that is a personal opinion!

I overall have just lost interest in all of the shows. I'm tired of being constantly disappointed and lead on. But I do wish I could watch more of the other shows since they seem to show more love and care towards their characters :)

CLOSING THOUGHTS!

It's just shows. Does any of this really matter? I think it matters when the shows are claiming to have good representation when they really don't. And they're allowing people who aren't queer/a part of the LGBTQIA+ community to feel like they have the right to shut real queer people down. I've seen so much acephobia and overall homophobia even in this community. A l o t in this community. I wish the writers would listen to ACTUAL QUEER PEOPLE!! I wish the VIEWERS listened to ACTUAL QUEER PEOPLE.

That's what I really want. I just want to be heard and represented.

LAES Earth Appreciation Post!

[This is something I wrote in the tsbs discord like back in october. But, I think nows a good time to share what I said on the tumblrs]

I love Earth shes awesome. Compassionate and humble but not a pushover or doormat. Feminine and emotional but not portrayed as weak. Not only is she one of the physically strongest characters in all of TSBS (barring the astrals and robots made of adaptium), but allowing herself to openly display and feel her emotions allows her to have a great deal of emotional resilience. Sun has broken, Moon has broken, Lunar has broken, Nex broke x 50. But while she has been upset and needed time to process bad things happening to her, Earth has not broken. And loosing her innocence and naivete did not make her lose her kindness. She just learnt to place value on herself.

And quite often despite being very openly emotional Earth is probably a lot more rational about things (generally) than her brothers (apart from Solar) tend to be.

And I love that there is a feminie character being portrayed as being strong both physically and mentally without it detracting from her femininity or portraying her as cold and stoic. We need more characters like that. ------

To add on to what I wrote back then: Earth is not perfect. She makes mistakes. She has unlikable characteristics. She sometimes has unhealthy dimensions to her relationships. She can even be annoying or make dumb decisions. Just like all the other characters in the show! Because if you haven't noticed, everyone in sams, laes and eaps is a freaking mess of a person! They all have things about them that suck and that is part of why we love them!

I love Earth, because she carries some of the flaws I sometimes find myself struggling with. Like placing overly high expectations on oneself, of perfectionism, of letting my emotions at times get in the way of when I need to be objective, of apologizing too much, of taking responsibility at times for choices and emotions that are not mine, of insecurity in if I'm "good enough" or "kind enough" or "trying hard enough", and of placing too much of my identity and validation in the hands of others at times.

Earth is awesome. and imperfect. and that is why I love her character.

The girl, the myth, the LEGEND!! I love Earth so much she's SO SWEET. She's the glue of the family, so selfless and ALWAYS there for the people she cares about. Her design means everything to me, its so creative!

Dazzle

Baby! Lil baby deer! Shes so cute and so sweet! Her relationship with Sun means everything to me and in Moon's words, She's such a cute kid! I love her design, such a cute little fawn with changeable outfits! I love how shes besties with Jack, they are so silly together!

Puppet

Cmon

CMOONN Puppet is the most SILLY GOOSE around. She makes me laugh SO MUCH I swear. Her lore and story is SO INTERESTING to me I want to eat it. Ive picked up so many vocal stims from her, I swear I always walk around sarcastically going "Yea I'm having a great day. Smile." I love her hair changing color depending on certain events and her design makes me want to squish her /pos!

Pollux

Ah! 1/2 of Gemini! I love how Pollux and Castor combine into Gemini It's so cool! As for Pollux herself though, shes so bubbly and curious! She reminds me of someone in my personal life tbh /pos I get her with like.. not knowing social cues, you are so me girl. Her singular design is so small and cute, it makes me very happy. Like I could pat her and she would go *squeak!* And her Gemini for looks so graceful! Also its CRIMINAL Tumblr doesn't allow you to make text yellow 😒

Ballora (Glamrock)

She is so funny I swear. I love her character development and how she started as arrogant and oh, so rude but has progressed to be more kind! Her 'forced friendship' (We all know he secretly likes her (platonically)) with Eclipse is so amusing. Bro is so done all the time. Her design is so pretty as well! She has a very spacey design that really matches ger aesthetic! (POOFY SKIRT!)

Monty Gator

Do they count?? Imma say they count. I don't have much to say about them tbh. Local chaos causer and war criminal /j They have had SO MUCH character development throughout the show and I love it. Their friendship with Og Moon is so sweet and they get up to so much chaos together. Their female body is so neat looking, my jaw dropped when I first saw it! And, oh wow, look at that. I DID have a good bit to say XD

As a part of this fandom, I cannot speak for all of us but I would like to apologize for the hate you guys and your characters receive. It is unfair and not at all valid. You guys put your hearts and souls into these characters and write all this amazing lore to entertain us FOR FREE. The fandom is disgusting to you guys and it is unacceptable. Try not to let them put you down or make you upset because, in the end, they are probably just jealous that they will never be as talented as you are. Your writing and characters are so fascinating and entertaining and I hope I get to see much more of them in the future!

SPRED THE HASTAGE I LOVE TSBS WRITING

because (I’m guilty of this two) the positive side is quite compared to the bad side. I know moving forward I’m going to put disclaimers on all character rants or theory’s or ep reviews talking about how I love the writing I’m just taking about the characters and my opinions. I noticed that in my posts unless give consistently read my previous posts I come off a dick and I sound like I’m insulting the writing even if I’m not meaning two and that’s on me.

Let’s take my opinion on Earth’s character

I think Earth used to put her own need to feel like she’s helpful so she can be a good person onto other to the point where it was manipulative. I don’t know she did it on purpose but I do think she didn’t do enough to change.

But this is where I’m in the wrong. Because Earth changed and I saw and appreciated that but in my posts there are FAR more that express my negative views on Earth compared to the positive ones.

And that’s because I didn’t think I had much to say about it when I know I could have. It’s because wording positive things is harder then negative for me so when I would try I would get bored and give up mid way never posting my thoughts on them.

(For the people who will take this out of context:

No I’m not judging Earth because she’s a woman I’m critiquing my old opinion of Earth that was made based on her actions towards others.)

I’m aware that the main problem that is effecting the shows is not people like me however we don’t do enough to help.

So why am I making this post? Well self-reflection mainly but also-

How are you doing rn?

Thanks for asking! I'm doing alright, surprisingly.

No one is harassing me or sending me hate, and I appreciate that. It's quiet fandom-wise for the first time in months. I have a job that's damn near full-time, and it's eating away a lot of my time, but I'm making money and that's important.

I'm still doing character design for Reed/EC_Universal, which is really cool and such a fucking awesome opportunity that I am extremely thankful to have. I'll try to post some more of what I've done, so far I've done one whole evolution line for a grass type fakemon, and I'm working on moths now. I've got some commissions done, so I'm still chopping away at that. Free time is spare, and I'm usually spending my time off work doing commissions, designs, or moderation.

Speaking of which, modding for TSBS is going good too. Not too busy, not too stressful. Things have settled down. When I had joined the team there was a *lot* going on, a lot of changes happening in the server, if you're in there you might've noticed that Rockstar row got archived and replaced by channels. And of course the first TSAMS livestream and the "fallout" of that (those first two weeks of that were hell haha, sooo many new people).

I've been REALLY into rainworld recently. After I figured out how the fuck to play, I've been playing it a lot with @zthesheep (which you can join our streams on my server). I'm figuring out how to stream with a PNGtuber, and that's fun. I made a shitty one for the time being, a pop-cat type thing of my sona. Really cute lil guy, but I wanna make a better one later down the line.

Writing has been slow. Due to having a job I have less free time and less energy. I'm hoping I can find a better job that will give me a steady schedule, one that says I have to come in like 4 days a week for 10-hour shifts and then fuck off the rest of the week, haha. Nonetheless I have still been writing. I've been struggling with finishing the next chapter for TMiB, so I've been writing a quick oneshot with @dragoncxv360 while I try to figure out how to wrap up the chapter.

We got a lot of interest in my personal project, which is super cool, and I've been helping everyone who's join set things up and whatnot.

I'm planning to start learning 3-D modeling this spring after the holidays, I just need to get all the stuff I need done done first.

I'm still slowly catching up on TSAMS/LAES/EAPS. It's just that I have less time now that I have a job and everything else going on.

Overall I'm stressed, but not overly stressed. I am struggling with executive function here and there, but I'm still making ends meet. I'm fairly content with my lot in life at the moment, but I'm still gonna work to improve it. Especially since my current job doesn't offer healthcare, and I have no health insurance because of it haha. But things could be worse.

….TSBS Ladies Appreciation Month!

This is an event meant to show appreciation and love to the ladies of TSBS, both to the characters and their respective VAs! Female characters often get more hate and criticism than male characters, which isn’t cool, and I felt that the VAs deserve to know how much we value their work, and that a large majority of the fandom doesn’t take them for granted

The rules for this event are in the picture, but just in case it’s hard for anyone to read, the text says:

All ladies are fair game! This includes trans and gender-fluid characters, as well as lady characters who have male VAs (ex: Puppet and Monty, when they’re in their female forms) and the female VAs themselves

Keep it PG, or PG13 at most! This month is about appreciating these girls, not making spice of them

Pieces can have characters that identify as anything other than female or gender-fluid in them, but the pieces themselves should be focused on the ladies

Mix and match these to your hearts content! There’s no need to do everything in this exact order

WIPs neglected this year

My initial reaction is to be self-deprecating and say all of them since I feel like I spent more time writing ahead and not producing much to show for it, but I know that's not true (plus I'm trying to be kinder to myself). I won't say neglected so much as just put on the back burner for the moment until the muse returns for them, and honestly I feel like this can apply to all of my fics at different points during the year

Total word count

This is definitely a very rough estimate because I don't keep track of my word count anymore (I find it better for my mental health in terms of writing and creating) but adding up what I can remember writing this year comes to 61,913 words, and that doesn't include everything I've written down in outlines and whatnot

Looking back, did you write more than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you expected?

Kinda both? I'm always going to wish I had written more no matter what, but I'm very happy with a rough estimate of 61.9k this year, that's certainly more than I thought it would be

Did you take any writing risks this year?

Writing in itself is a risk in my opinion. But also WYWH is a massive risk narratively and stylistically that I'm really hoping I'll be able to pull off!

Do you have any goals for the new year?

I'd like to update TSB at least once, if I can update twice I'll be over the moon! Plus I'd like to one day post WYWH, ISoIS, and possibly my DBZ fic but who knows if I'll have the confidence for that lol

Biggest disappointment?

Not being able to update TSB more. My fixations tend to jump around which makes it difficult to focus on one fic or fandom for longer than a couple months and thus to update more frequently than twice in a year

Biggest surprise? 

The fact that I started writing a fic for Dragon Ball lmao was not expecting that hyperfixation but I'm honestly not mad about it

I think they're all under-appreciated but that's just because they're my fics and I'm always going to think they're amazing (and it's also because I haven't been super great about posting/promoting them on here tbh)

Most fun story to write

The DBZ fic! Mostly because I have absolutely no expectations of anyone else ever reading it, so I feel no pressure whatsoever! It's just my silly little story with my silly little OC for my silly little anime show ^-^

Most unintentionally telling story

I'm not totally sure what this means but I guess like which story is telling in terms of revealing things about the author they didn't realize maybe? Idk if that makes sense but for me I always put parts of myself into my characters so each fic and idea will always be telling about me in a way

My favorite part of fandom this year

Not necessarily fandom, but my own determination to say screw canon and create my own version of reality within the story I'm writing. Now that I'm beginning to stray from what's established in canon (down the line in my fics, not just yet I'm afraid but we're getting there), it feels like I've become ruler of the sandbox. Canon is mine to command and I'm so excited for the opportunities that will give me!
