Vamp Life - poses for when your sim needs to vamp

FINALLY! I got together something in time for Simblreen! I'm not able to do the porch light thing, so I am posting the treat publicly.

This is a mega pose pack containing 120 vampire-inspired poses. It started out as just a small pack of a few "inverted" poses (thanks for the inspiration @murfeelee!) and I just went crazy from there. There is a little bit of everything in there.

There are far too many pictures to include here, so I encourage you to visit my flikr album to see the larger pictures. I'll also include a download link for just the photos.

POSE NAMES

The list is too long to pose here, so I included it in the download file.

NOTES

Some of the poses are the same, just in different orientations (lying, floating, inverted, or standing).

Some poses have slightly different variations to accommodate the different male and female physique.

Many of the vignettes are made to "snap" together. Where it made sense to do, I also included "stand alone" versions. They will have the subscript "_sa".

All of the poses intended to be ceiling height (such as the inverted ones and ceiling crawlers) as well as all of the coffin and bed poses have been lowered to make them more flexible. Use OMSP to raise them to desired height.

roselipa super shy posepack (for ts3)

i've always wanted to convert some cute model poses and i finally figured it out! it kind of took me longer than it probably should have because the facial expressions get all wonky when pasting them over from the ts4 rig. I tried to adjust the faces as best i could, but be warned that there may be some general weirdness, especially with the eye shapes. i may have also adjusted the eyebrows too much to the point where they all look sad but i guess that goes with the theme of the pack lol.

♡  HOW TO USE POSES ♡

Poses are meant to be used with cmomoney's pose player. It's located in the Decorations/Miscellaneous section in buy mode. Place the pose player down and choose either "Pose by Name" or "Select Pose from List".

My pose downloads come with two files: a listed and a not listed version. Select "Pose by Name" if you have the not listed file, and type in the code of the pose (provided in zip) you want to use. Select "Pose from List" if you have the listed version, and select the pose you want from the list. ONLY HAVE ONE VERSION IN YOUR PACKAGES FOLDER AT ONCE.

Posepack Edwardian Portrait (Romanov Family)

This was an anonymous cc-wish, suggesting family-portrait poses from the 1910s, particularly inspired by the Romanov family. And after looking at some reference pictures, I learned that the Romanovs were very good at arranging interesting family groups. Most portraits of this time just show everyone standing next to each other.

These poses are inspired by two group photos, "1913" and "1914". Despite the filenames, these were obviously taken at the same occasion. I also found one other (anonymous) family group, from which I included poses 9 and 10 (-> Link).

The models for the previews were made by @comtessezouboff . Thank you so much!

Wherever possible, the poses are centred individually. So they won't snap together for the entire group, but they will for the same piece of furniture (except 9c, which doesn't really touch the armchair).

Pose 3 (Anastasia) has variations for adult Sims with bigger and smaller skirts.

Poses 6 and 7 also have variations for big and small skirts. The one with the bigger skirt is SF TP's Edwardian Dress converted by @joojconverts . That's also the one I had as a reference in Blender.

Pose 2d has a teen variation, owing to the historical reference. 5c should also be for teen, but it turned out a teen with their feet on the ground and their hand on an object is the most impossible thing to pose. It's a normal adult pose now, and I moved Maria 7 cm up on an OMSP for the group-picture. In this context: Thanks to @bmit04 for insights into teen-posing!

Speaking of OMSPs, there are two cases of resized furniture: The endtable is 90% and the stool for the child-poses at 75%.

I went digging through my old backups to find a house I'd built years ago for my sims 3 story family, the O'Donnaghailes. the house exterior was based off of Lallybroch (Midhope Castle). I've updated the outside a bit and started decorating the interior in the vein of a Scottish/Irish manor house to keep in line with the story vibes. sometimes I think about resurrecting that story, but I just don't think I could ever get along with sims 3 well enough to pull it off, and porting it to sims 4 would lose the heart and soul, which was Rinn Fada and Glen Donnach being the original inspiration. for those interested, the original story was posted here. does make me a bit nostalgic about when I used to do prose on simblr.

My YOU poseset, containing 24 poses and 9 duo's of MLM couple poses

This is made for my own sorta-legacy sorta-hardcore story, specifically my current heir/main character's love arc* (see bottom of post). Having a very specific idea in mind of how they refind their soulmate, I started playing with the idea of learning to make poses again. "sitting at bar 1" is the very first pose I made in 10 years!

I already made some posesets in my early teens which are still available on Modthesims, but wanting my Florian (they/them pronouns) to have the perfect story motivated me to get into it again.

As these poses are made for very specific scenes, it speaks for itself that the precise moves and expressions are equally specific. But, as the world really needs more LGBTQA+ poses, I decided to put it up for download publicly anyway. I am sure you can do more with them than how I used them.

At the bar

Story background (spoilers, duh)

Florian and Finn (Born Yìchén, but uses Finn since moving to the West) met each other on holiday to Isla Paradiso when they were 14. Florian has two moms and grew up very progressive, while Finn's parents pretty much laid out a "you will study business, take over the company and marry a pretty healthy son bearing girl" future laid ahead of him, on top of his mother being quite homophobic no matter what. The two hit it off immediately (chapter 3) - Finn initially being fascinated by Florian's supernatural heritage - and fall in love quickly. But Finn needs to leave in a few days. Right as they're exchanging contact info, Florian does not even know how to spell Finn's original name, Finn's mom starts arguing with him and quite literally pulls them apart; the next morning, Finn is gone, unable to leave a note behind even. His mom wanted to leave asap because of the "bad influence her son gets". Florian is absolutely heartbroken (chapter 4), but as there's no way for them to find Finn - not knowing his full name, they have different social media where he lives etc - ultimately gives up. But Florian never forgets Finn: they never stopped loving each other, being harshly pulled apart the way they were but are kept apart for 14 years due to misunderstandings and circumstances. Florian's life becomes a bit of a mess due to a variety of reasons, their mental health takes a big hit and on top of it, they start hallucinating Finn for a reason that is yet to be revealed. Florian goes on holiday for their mental health. They first go to Shang Simla where they uncover the secrets of Sim Fu, and then decides to travel on to Isla Paradiso, hoping that seeing the place of the plumbobforsaken holiday again will put a permanent stop to the hallucinations. They go out, visit a bar, are confused because the bartender hides himself for them, the bartender pretty much begs them to say what's on their mind while still crouching on the ground hiding behind a corner, seemingly decides it's safe to reveal himself, and guess who's the bartender, in that same place as where they met each other half a lifetime ago... (chapter 19 - 20)
