In the progress of re-downloading and re-installing my game rn hoping a cracked version will work better than my legal copy lol (the one I had before Avast fucked up my pc was actually a cracked version which Origin at some point recognized as legal lmao)

Never thought I would say this in my life but even ts4 is working nicely for me rn okay like the same game that always gets ruined by updates is working!!

Also in other news: I attempted to fix my ts3 game and even without cc whenever I use create a style it still gets laggy 😭

Apparently it gets laggy when I load the most heavy categories like theme and geometric, but it's still so weird because this never happened before?? - I had to reinstall my game mid-2024 after my pc got a virus (shoutout to Avast Antivirus for literally *creating* a virus and fucking up Windows to the point my bf had to reinstall it to fix it 🫠) and it's been acting funny ever since, I miss my old game so much I've never IN MY LIFE gotten ts3 to work so nicely and when I finally do Avast had to fuck it all up 🥲

(ps: just in case I still test everything I share or ask others to do it for me to make sure it works and won't break anyone's game due to my own game's issues hehe)

First ever hair conversion :D Never thought I'd like clay hairs in ts3 but it does suit certain maxis match simmies like Irene :))

I've been playing some Disney Dreamlight Valley recently and I must say it's a good game, pretty engaging and well-made. Didn't expect to capture my attention like this. Quest-type of games don't usually grab me easily (I can't play Sims Medieval for long, without yearning for all the freedom we have in TS3), but this one did so far. Maybe it's because of the characters in the game...Or maybe it's the fact that you can edit the map however you want, which is a big plus.

Anyway, I fell in love with some designs (obviously, pft!) in this game.

Since I don't have the tools to extract meshes from DDV I decided to remake from scratch the clothing I liked. For TS3, obvs! Here's the result:

I wanted the ice gown to be more shimmery (the blue one), but since I like my stuff to be recolorable (and make full use of CASt) in TS3, there's a high probability it'll stay like this. Unless I opt for swatches, but there's the slimest chances for that to happen...

What still needs to be fixed on both dresses is the bone assignment at the base of the skirts as they clip with shoes when simmies are walking. Or recommend using invisible feet, if I can't solve this. We'll see...

*The textures are mine & (from) TS3, stencils from a site I'll credit in the upcoming post (roses, snowflakes).

**They were not easy to remake (actually each dress took a full week to complete - meshing them to look like the originals was pretty challenging, but texturing was on a whole new level of difficulty), yet I'm stubborn, lol.

***The two dresses (and whatever else I decide to make, if I'm inclined to) will be posted on Patreon under early access for 3 weeks (or 21-22 days).

OH MY GOD?!?!?!?! This is the sweetest message ever! 😭😭😭😭😭 I'm so happy that my silly Simmies based on like squids and pickles and toast are inspiring to someone! I really am just dicking around in CAS. If you want to be more creative with Sims, start with messing around with sliders and blending face presets. Also, the Sims 3 has a wonderful color wheel and pattern feature -- go nuts with it!!! Literally nobody can stop you from making an entire Sim based on a pair of jeans you like.

I, personally, do not have a CC finds blog. I have considered doing something like that in the past but I feel like it would take up too much of my time organizing that I'd rather spend doing more creative things. That being said, I use so many other CC finds blogs, you wouldn't believe it. My CC shopping sessions are more similar to deep sea explorations at this point. Sims 3 CC will take you to some wild places, like the fifth page of Google, shady Russian message boards, or Bing.

Anyway, here are some of my favorites finds blogs:

@katsujiiccfinds is the one I use the most, even though it's not active anymore. Most (but not all, unfortunately) of the links are still valid and the god-tier organization makes this a great place to start if you're looking for something incredibly specific.

@bellakenobiccfinds is a new favorite of mine. There's not as many pages to sift through yet but the stuff Bella chooses to add to the blog is top quality. If Bella says "check this thing out", it's definitely worth a look.

@kpccfinds also has great organization. It's so easy to find what you're looking for and best of all, it's still active! New stuff is added regularly for all your perusing needs.

@emilyccfinds is another finds blog with an inactive TS3 section but it has a lot of stuff to look through that you might not find in other places.

@simfluencer-network is a super ambitious project by @sim-songs with, again, really great organization. Are you sensing a theme here? I love it when things are easy to find. It's like having the entire Library of Alexandria laid out before you.

@sssvitlanz is of course the OG of Sims 3 finds blogs and even though it's still being built back up to its former glory before the original Lana CC finds was deleted due to Tumblr's dumbassery, it's a consistent reliable resource for all things CC.

@darkccfinds is a great place to look if you're wanting things that are more goth or darker in nature. A wonderful place to find alternative fashion!!

@simplicitysccfinds is last but certainly not least on my list of go-to finds blogs. Great layout, great navigation, indispensable in my opinion. It's always in the rotation when I'm looking for stuff.

Don't forget Tumblr has communities now! The Sims 3 CC community and the Sims 3 Community are super active posting new finds almost every single day. You only have to scroll for like two seconds before you find something interesting. Communities don't yet have the ability to set up navigation pages so you can't search for specific things very easily, but sometimes it's nice to just look at the most recent posts when you're not looking for anything in particular and let serendipity do its thing.

Modern Ikke - world download

The idea behind Ikke was to create a scandinavian/swiss inspired world, but most importantly a place where sims can go (fake) skiing and be surrounded by pine trees and snow. I took inspiration from the Swiss/French Alps (especially Verbier) so naturally all buildings go along that vibe.

I kinda made it my mission to leave CC to a minimum, so I used only a few cc items and the rest is from expansion/accessory packs or ts3 store. - So make sure to at least have Supernatural, Pets, Into The Future and Late Night in order for the world to show up properly.

Note: the world file is pretty much empty, so I strongly recommend to download the world AND the save file so Ikke can look the same way it does in my game. - I am going to share furnished lots too, but finding cc takes time so bare with me :p

All relevant info is under the cut, so please read it!

>CC: there's two folders included with the download; the one called CC has all the necessary stuff you need so the world looks exactly as it does in my game. I didn't include some mods objects, so if you don't already have these then grab omsp, omsp resizers by Buckley, medium size rocks here, (more) medium size rocks here, city hall/police station/military base rug shell (you only need that one) & this set of patterns (I didn't use all of them, but I love them and highly recommend getting all of them hehe - I used the ones from the wood category) / the second folder called CC Recommendations is not necessary for the world to show up properly, but everything there goes along with the vibe and would look great in most buildings (;

>Modern Ikke.world: as said above, it's almost empty except for some scarce decor and the chairlift (but without it's start/finish bit) / Goes in Documents>Electronic Arts>The Sims 3>Installed worlds

>Save File: Has all the buildings I did (14 lots), plus a few other details I changed from the original world file. I tested it along with my bf, so you'll start with my Svensson household and there will be some npcs (with randomized Spanish names as he has the game in Spanish hehe) - obviously just get rid of them all and start with your own simmies (; / Both folders inside 'save file' go in Documents>Electronic Arts>The Sims 3>Saves / you NEED to install the world file too or the save won't work!

>Additional note: If you downloaded the shell rug linked above, then you'll find a "city hall" icon in Ikke's Hotel; I put it there mostly so you can change NRass settings if you're using it. Otherwise (or when you're done setting things up) feel free to get rid of it.
