4t3 Convert from HappyLifeSims’ 1840s Suspender Outfit
A 4t3 convert from a pretty 1840s outfit for all your gentlemen sims, made by HappyLifeSims, now to ts3! Nice outfit for those who want to play a farm save, for example, set in the 1830s-1850s! A lot of presets too, which I’ll explain later on! Hope you like it! Enjoy! <3
————— —————
Known problems;
- The buttons will look distorted in fat and fit morphs (especially the fit one), as is for all 3d buttons meshes out there. I reduced it tho, so hopefully it won’t be very noticeable! Sorry!
-  The collar may clip sometimes with the outfit, but it’s not very noticeable and it’s only in very intense animations!
* Note that teens and elders have unsolvable neck gaps. This is sadly the price for having them available!
————— —————
ALL CREDITS GO TO @happylifesimsreblogs! IT’S NOT MY MESH, AND IT’S NOT MY TEXTURES, I JUST CONVERTED IT TO THE SIMS 3!
Agreements:
- If you wish to take screenshots or edit my converts and post them, please, tag me!
- Do not reupload my converts without my concern!
NOTE THAT LIGHTING GLITCHES ONLY APPEAR ON CAS!
THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE DOWNLOADING:
The outfit has 6 total presets/variables! The first 5 have the suspenders as overlay textures, which means they’re not recolorable, because I wanted to keep all the floral options available to you guys! The last preset is totally recolorable and CAStable!

Tag Game for Historical Simblrs!
I thought I would make a triumphant return to simblr with some new cc but I haven’t had any time and quite honestly my heart hasn’t been in it lately, but I’m sure I’ll come back to it. In the mean time thank you @antiquatedplumbobs for tagging me for this!
1. What has been your favorite time period to play in or which one are you most excited for?
My game progresses pretty slowly but I did really enjoy playing the 1810′s. I’m really looking forward to the 1840′s and 1890′s.
2. Do you have a favorite piece of historical cc? (CAS or BB)
oh gosh! That’s a tough one, even though most of it is still out of my current time period everything from @linzlu, @gilded-ghosts and @javitrulovesims! Also @buzzardly28 hairs!
3. Who is your favorite sim currently?
I haven’t played my game in months and I haven’t shared much about my game in a long time (should I share more about it?) But I would say it’s Percy Lancelot Whittleslee.
Tumblr media
4. What is your favorite world?
I would have to say it’s a tie between Windenburg & Brindleton Bay. They feel the most complete to me. I feel all the worlds look great but once you start actually playing within them they start to feel a bit flat.
5. Are you more gameplay or story focused?
Not that it’s obvious but gameplay. I’d like to be more story focused but it would be a ton of work.
6. Do you like to play with pets in your historical saves?
I do! I love figuring out which kinds of pets or animals my different sims might have. I’m looking forward to reaching the point where more dog and cat breeds come into play.
7. What's your biggest immersion breaking pet peeve with the game?
Phones and cars driving by. I haven a modern save as well so I try not to use too many overrides. I like to pretend the phone is just my sims sending and receiving letters.
8. What's your favorite in-game historical item? (CAS or BB)
The icebox from Cottage living.
9. What would you like to see as a new pack or asset to the game?
Not to be that person, but horses. There’s probably other things but since I haven’t played in while it’s not top of mind.
10. What pack do you think is invaluable as a historical simmer?
Cottage Living hands down!
11. Do you have a favorite mod to enhance historical gameplay?
It’s not historical gameplay specific but @lotharihoe’s Sim Spawn overhaul so my neighborhoods actually feel like neighborhoods! I hated that my sims only saw their neighbors if they went to their house for a visit and the rest of the time Willow Creek was full of sims from Windenburg or Oasis Springs or vice versa.
12. What's your ideal family size for playing?
I would say 3-4, just enough to keep you busy.
13. Do you use poses?
I don’t, I’ve tried but I just never end up actually using them.
14. Do you use any overrides in your game?
I do, mostly for items in CAS that annoy me and other little visual things.
15. Do you, or did you, play off-the-grid during your game?
I do sometimes, until I get annoyed with it. I find it works well for a time but then something always comes up that ruins it. Now that there’s a few more cc versions of wells and such it’s getting better. Modders have always and will continue to save this game!
16. What lifespan do you play on?
A custom one I set a long time ago, it’s longer than I think most people would enjoy but it makes sense to me.
17. What inspired you to start playing a historically?
I can’t even remember, but I’m going to say probably when I came across some historical cc for TS3? But I remember my TS2 game was heavily modded as well so I think I started dabbling with it even then.
I’m not sure which historical simmers have done this already so if you would like to do it then I’m tagging you!

Hats! Des chapeaux !
Okay, so I desperately need some hats for my 1820s to 1840s Sims. My female Sims are walking around with no hats at all, and I can’t have an island full of women of little virtue! @danjaley has some great bonnets even though they are earlier than what I need (thank you so much for existing and creating such an amazing content by the way!). Unfortunately they don’t fit most of the hairstyles with the hair up, and I can’t have all my sims wearing the same hairstyle, can I? So if anyone knows where I can find TS3 hats that at least kinda looks early 19th, please, please, let me know!
