Do you ever think about the fact that when Christopher grows up, he will eventually realize what he did to his dad. His dad who was grieving too. His dad who did everything for him. His dad who tried. His dad who gave up his found family to follow him back into Hell. His dad who loved him more than he loved himself.

He's gonna grow up, and he's gonna look at his dad, and at some point he'll see it. The broken man. The little things he saw his grandparents say and do around his dad that he didn't think anything of at the time because he was a child. But he isn't a child anymore. He looks at his dad and he finally understands.

It's awesome but also slightly sad how Echo goes from 'no we are not arms smugglers' to 'fuck it we're smuggling whatever needs to be to save clones' where-as Hunter is the polar opposite, going from 'we smuggle whatever we need to if it makes money' to 'actually fuck that we're living on a beach forever'.

Ive said this before but swear the biggest skill to learn as an adult is how to resist high-pressure sales tactics. You do NOT have to answer questions with anything other than "Sorry I'm not interested." No matter how nice they are or no matter how many follow up questions they ask or even how agitated they get when you stand your ground. Just keep saying I'm not interested. Don't answer their questions. Don't give them an opening to try to push back on your reasons. Be a fucking brick wall of I'm not interested.

comics as an art form make me insane. they’re so difficult to do well. there’s so many different ways to make sequential art work and most of them are deeply unintuitive. onomatopoeia that feels completely ridiculous to put down often reads seamlessly. panels on a page become a fractally nested image composition challenge that’s only possible to lose because if you do a good job no one will notice. you have to direct the readers’ eyes on a specific path across the page but also account for the fact that they won’t follow it. comic time isn’t linear. if the order of events isn’t crystal clear the story becomes incomprehensible. sometimes you need to do this on purpose. all this for a medium almost universally considered less effective than animation and less respectable than plain text. even its own name doesn’t take it seriously
