(For the ask game)
I've heard you mention 'Remarkable Retirement' a few times. And I NEED more information so I can propperly obsess.
Thanks:)
SO GLAD YOU ASKED
first of all, obligatory plug because The Remarkable Retirement of Edna Fisher is out now in hardcover, paperback, and ebook, with an audiobook pending! you can find tbr and buy links (plus fun stuff like a "which character are you" quiz) at my linktree.
(I also have a shiny new website if you prefer a traditional website format or if that's more accessible to you)
okay anyway
the inspiration is exactly what you'd think it was
for anyone who doesn't know yet, the book was inspired by this post that I saw on tumblr years ago when I had my original account
...except it's not a series, she's 83, and she had one cat in the first draft who got cut because I simply cannot keep track of characters' pets, rip Mittens
here's a plot summary
which I c/p'ed from Goodreads just now, but I wrote this summary myself except for the lovely blurb from SJ Whitby at the bottom
You're never too old for adventure.
When you’re a geriatric armed with nothing but gumption and knitting needles, stopping a sorcerer from wiping out an entire dragon-fighting organization is a tall order. No one understands why 83-year-old Edna Fisher is the Chosen One, destined to save the Knights from a dragon-riding sorcerer bent on their destruction. After all, Edna has never handled a magical weapon, faced down a dragon, or cast a spell. And everyone knows the Council of Wizards always chooses a teenager—like the vengeful girl ready to snatch Edna’s destiny from under her nose.
Still, Edna leaps at the chance to leave the nursing home. With her son long dead in the Knights’ service, she’s determined to save dragon-fighters like him and to ensure other mothers don’t suffer the same loss she did. But as Edna learns about the abuse in the ranks and the sorcerer’s history as a Knight, she questions if it’s really the sorcerer that needs stopping—or the Knights she’s trying to save.
“Beyond the utterly charming premise of this wonderful book, you will find dazzling wit, a cast of delightful characters, and a plot that will sweep you away. At heart, this is a love story, but one that shows the depth and complexity of love in all its permutations. But my very favourite thing about this book is how it makes me believe in a kinder, better world.” - SJ Whitby, author of the Cute Mutants series
no-context spoilers aka random shit in the book that I like to mention now and then for funsies
handkerchief magic
a largely useless wizard
"I'm fine" [but she was not fine]
"snickerdoodles"
"we're not flying right into a SHITLOAD OF DRAGONS" (I have a temporary tattoo and stickers with this quote on it lmao it's a fave)
a dragon who thinks he's a lap dog
a dragon who hoards flowers
an extremely self-indulgent kiss-on-the-beach scene
a Soft Old Man™
maybe she's born with it, maybe it's PTSD
idk I'm bad at giving info without a specific question
I could literally talk about this book (or,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,anything I'm writing) all day, but I never know where to start or where to stop when I lack a specific question lmao. so if you have more questions or new questions or questions about anything listed here, please let me know what they are so I can answer them better!

So @justacoyote did this last year, and I thought it was fun and wanted to give it a try! And then time passed and now I'm late as usual xD
How many works do you have on AO3? currently 210
What's your total AO3 word count? 1,133,881
What fandoms do you write for?
Primarily Guardian, Granting You A Dreamlike Life, and Grimm
Plus a couple on-and-off or exchange-only fandoms like Dreamcatcher's Deja Vu, Disney's Descendants, Naruto, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Eldest Princess On Top (Zhǎng Gōng Zhǔ Zài Shàng), Castlevania (Cartoon) and Assassin's Creed (early games).
What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Partners in Crimes (RTAH RPF, Freewood, Fake AH Crew AU) at 907 kudos
Blindfold (RTAH RPF, Freewood, Fake AH Crew AU) at 858 kudos
The Dwight Timing (RTAH RPF, Jeremwood, Fake AH Crew AU) at 653 kudos
Take No Prisoners (Take No Shit), (RTAH RPF, original AH OT6, Fake AH Crew AU) at 581 kudos (my first and oldest work for ragehappy fandom /o\ and it shows lol)
Just Let Me Know If You Want It (It's Strictly Physical), (Dragon Age II, Fenders, omegaverse smut) at 561 kudos
Devil's Deal (Disney's Descendants, Jaylos + Harlos, pre-canon) at 515 kudos
As much as I loved my time back then in RTAH fandom, I do hope to eventually get a fic more popular unrelated to H*ywood, considering what was revealed about his irl behaviour.
For funsies, my top-kudoses Guardian work is Seas Cannot Be Measured (Weilan, outsider pov, kidfic) at 364 kudos. The second work I posted in my current fandom :D!
Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? Yes, because I like engaging with other fans! And if someone takes the time to leave me a comment, even a short one, I want to at least thank them because it means a lot to me <3
What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Probably All Our Memories, They're Haunted, a Deja Vu MV fic in which Yoohyeon slowly descends into killing all her friends.
What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
This one's hard! I write a lot of fluffy one-shots where the point is the happiness? Like, Days of Splendour is literally about Weilan getting their happy ending wedding.
Similarly, Pivot is a fix-it ending for Critical Role season 1, in which Vax doesn't die and Gilmore gets to date him, too.
And The Fringe Benefits Of Being Family is fluffy future kidfic snippets in which Weilan get to be parents while their girls grow up.
Do you get hate on fics?
I once got a backhanded compliment on a fic where the commenter asserted they didn't usually read this ship because the shippers are all sus for shipping it and did it wrong, but my take passed their sniff-test. But they'd keep a close eye on my next work for this ship, just in case.
I vaguely recall getting a comment once and then immediately deleting it, but I can't for the life of me remember why. Probably for the best?
And there was that ask I once got that sticks in my brain because it was HILARIOUS. It asserted that because I have a recognizable style and used things like. Grammar and paragraph formatting for pacing, my writing was dry and boring and the worst and I just was copying myself with every new fic. I screenshot it and had a good laugh with friends over it :D
Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yes, and a lot of different kinds! Sometimes I want to explore certain kinks, like tentacles (What Lies In Darkness, Weilan with eldritch!Shen Wei) or D/s (Good Vibrations, Dom!ZYL with sub!Shen Wei). Other times I just want to explore the relationship between the characters (Special Occasion, Weilan birthday blowjob) or worldbuilding (Long Night In Longcheng, Weilan canon au with dragon!Shen Wei).
Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
I love crossovers! I sadly haven't written too many, though. I have some old WIPs for a Naruto x Batman Beyond and a YGO! x SG-1 crossovers in my pile I occasionally return to, but nowhere close to finished. And I'm seriously considering writing a Guardian x Grimm crossover at some point lol
Malum Purificatum, Guardian x Assassin's Creed II (AKA Weilan meets Ezio)
It's You And Me (Amongst The Stars), Critical Role s1 x Stargate SG-1, in which Pike & Grog meet SG-1
Sink Your Teeth In (To The People You Depend On), Jurassic World x MCU, raptor!Darcy Lewis/Owen Grady, unfinished WIP
A Trickster's Pact, ragehappy x MCU, Freewood
One Fact Changes All, YGO! x HP, Tendershipping, my first and oldest crossover, unfinished and abandoned
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
The closest I got (that I'm aware of) is someone copying the exact premise of my fic in a beat-by-beat way without crediting me for the inspiration. It was memorable because it was my most popular fic at that point and the fandom didn't have a similar premise before.
Have you ever had a fic translated?
Recently someone Furimmer translated my story An Intimate Touch into Russian! First time someone found my fic worth it to translate, I'm so happy still just thinking about it :D (It's also interesting to see they chose a different snippet to highlight in the summary, ha! That one seemed to resonate with them more. Can't blame them ;) )
Have you ever co-written a fic before? I have! @itskaysno is a wonderful co-pilot <3
What's your all-time favorite ship? Weilan (Guardian), Nick/Renard/Juliette (Grimm), and Jane/Uma (Disney's Descendants). I tend to be a multishipper, but these never fail to get me in the feels :D
What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? Of my posted WIPs: Hey Baby (I Think I Wanna Marry You), Shipwreck Isles, Your Prince Is In Another Castle, and Triple Duke Coup. Probably Ghost of a Chance, too, unless I get inspired by writing different YGO! fic to pick it up again. I'm 50-50 on whether I'll find motivation to finish Let Your Hearts' Melody Entwine With Mine
Of my unposted WIPs, if I've moved on from the fandom, I'm unlikely to put them up. That's why I posted a deluge of WIPs when I left the ragehappy fandom, because I couldn't see myself picking them up again, but I also regularly regret not e.g. having posted certain Naruto fic way back when I was writing them. Now the quality just doesn't hold up to my current standard, but I'm not going back to edit them, either.
What are your writing strengths?
I think I'm pretty good at dialogue and fighting scenes! I practiced writing fighting scenes a lot because they used to be one of my weak spots, and now I'm comfy where I'm at skill level wise. I like pitting characters against each other, too, though I still have room for improvement in that area.
What are your writing weaknesses?
Environmental storytelling. Character conflict that lasts longer than a handful of scenes. 15k+ longfic (I'm terribly at keeping myself motivated to write them and then never finish). Slow burn and character/relationship development that takes a while to get to (keeping characters consistent but still having them change is hard to juggle! Especially since I have a tendency to write scenes out of order)
Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
If it's a language I know, I'm comfortable with it! It needs to be done for effect, though. Unless we're talking prefixes/suffixes and other addresses of respect/relation that just don't translate well (e.g. yifu, shixiong, xiao/lao, -kun, -senpai, etc.) but reveal information about the exact way characters relate to each other.
First fandom you wrote for? Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters (back on German fanfic site Animexx). It was a self-insert OC portal fic where she ends up with Seto Kaiba xD I think I named her Leia or similar? I forget.
Favorite fic you've written?
The fic I'm writing for FFFX rn is a serious contender for top spot, if I manage to pull it off the way I imagine it.
I'm still pretty proud of Two Of A Kind (Guardian, Ya Qing/Zhu Hong & Shen Wei) and Safe In Your Hands (Weilan, post-canon with smut). The older a work is, the more I tend to see the flaws in it :') so my answers usually tend to be pretty recent stuff!
@itskaysno @ganglylimbs @elenothar @the-marron @sasamelons @sailorbryant @yilian0203 @treemaidengeek if any of you (or anyone else!) would like to do this, too, feel yourself tagged <3

i'm all ears for the book idea homie
You would not believe the confusion of this ask because I completely forgot about that post lmao
Anyway, yeah I thought it would be cool if we, as the fnaf community, made our own fnaf short story series for funsies. I was thinking without considering how to do it, so in my head I was saying it would be dope as hell if a bunch of us writers and artists got together and did a little series of spooky horror story fnaf books that followed the same format as the actual books, but with more art stuff for the artists to join in and... better writing in a lot of cases lmao. I was thinking of physical books at the time like how I've seen some some of those big community zines that raise money for charity but I have no idea how to do that so...
Now that it's not stupid in the morning before I've slept, the easiest way to do something like this I guess would to like... make a PDF maybe? Three stories per 'issue' I guess and release it for free of course! (Unless someone knows how to make 'pay what you want' with any money gained going to a good charity? I dunno. This would just make it optionally free) Someone could do epilogues for each one, so one long story over however many we make, which could be fun.
Could put it on a Neocities (which is a free website thingo that's also free to view) or something too. I dunno, it could be fun though! One collaborative project, linking together writers from different corners of the overall fnaf fandom to do what the source material is doing but better... that'd be pretty fucking cool ngl
The overall idea of what's actually getting written and stuff is where I'd pobably lose people though. The idea is basically 'do what the books are trying to do but better', as in... 'expand on the fnaf universe in short, fnaf themed stories' and not 'Blorbo Adventures: The Twink Robots Kiss' kind of stuff. So like... new animatronics, new attractions, new Fazbear themed horrors, people dying or whatever, possessed robots, terrible business decisions, elaborate coverups and... I dunno I've not read that many lmao but you get what I mean. Basically, do what you want, go crazy, just don't write your Canon Blorbos as you normally would if you were posting on Ao3.
I suppose it's like... Fazbear themed original fiction? Kind of? It could include re-imaginings of stuff of course, since that's part of what's in these books to begin with, but I still think it's probably not fan community oriented enough to ever see the light of day, ya know? Would be really fucking cool though!
Could do an interest check on it I suppose? How many people hate the books so much or want to write general spooky stories enough to join a poject like this? I dunno. If this post gets enough traction, I'll do a proper interest check and we'll see about it.
Also if none of this makes sense, you can for sure ask for clarification my brain is... not braining today :(
#dunno where I'd start with it though#and how do you convince fandom people to write a short story that doesn't focus on blorbos?#obviously it COULD but like... the idea is books but better because we could so EASILY do better than them#which means sentient robots is uhhh probably something you'd only be able to imply? I dunno...#I dunno how to explain it#other than 'idea of the book series but we do it better because we can'#does that make sense? hmm#pop rox answers

THANK YOU FOR TAGGING ME AND I'M SO SORRY I DIDN'T SEE IT SOONER!!! this was sm fun <333 under the cut bc I don't know how to shut up :D
started writing: so I think I originally tried to write fanfiction when I was like... 11? it was literally handwritten in a notebook I've now lost and it was a Heroes of Olympus fanfic with an OC? I think? but oh man, I've been an x-reader girl from the very beginning. I started posting on wattpad when I was 12 and it was a book of x-reader fics for this one band I really liked back then... I will NOT be naming names. I did that alongside x-reader fics for PJO/HoO and Peter Parker for about 3 ish years before only sticking to fictional characters bc once I turned 15 I personally felt uncomfy writing real person fics. and I've been writing for haikyuu/anime characters in general since I was 16!
started blogging: I started my blog in 2022 as a little bday gift to myself when I turned 18 (lol silly gift maybe, but I had been going back and forth on whether or not I should- I'm so glad I did). I had been stalking a ton of blogs without an account for a whileee for some characters and I finally decided to move my haikyuu drafts from wattpad over here and see how they'd do. and here we are!
followers: I have about 1.2k right now which is INSANE to me bc I've neverrr had that many people enjoy my writing. even if like. half of you are bots, I'm still so grateful for everyone <333
communication: I LOVEEEE bugging my mutuals!! I do worry that I'm too much sometimes, or that I get a little overexcited abt sharing ideas and then I draw back a bit (and it's why I'm shy abt messaging compared to sending an ask). I wish I got more asks in general abt literally anything just bc I love interactions/making friends (even tho I'm extremely shy offline LOL)
likes: I prefer reblogs/comments if I'm being honest, but likes mean a lot too!!
for some reason my sakusa fics always do really well in the likes department, but it does kind of frustrate me when the like/reblog ratio is insanely disproportionate. I think it's cause I just crave interaction/like knowing people do actually enjoy what I put out and why. I feel like it helps me grow as a writer if I understand what translated well, what people focused on, etc.
I always leave a like and reblog a fic I loved with some thoughts on it/how it made me feel, and so do my mutuals & most other authors. I never ever ever expect that from anyone, and I do so so so appreciate any interaction, but I just prefer the other stuff a little more!
requests: formal requests are closed bc I feel bad not getting to them in a timely manner, and I don't always have the time or inspiration/motivation to do that. however if someone sends in a cute idea just for funsies I might end up writing it!!
writing: hmmm I'm always trying to improve my writing, which is why in my little author's note sections of fics I put out, you'll sometimes see me apologizing for switching up the format/trying something new! honestly my writing rn isn't where I want it to be, it feels a bit lackluster and kind of like it's been getting worse??? but we keep moving. sometimes I'll write a line that I personally think is soooo good and I'm so proud of it, but then I'll hate the rest of the fic bc it feels flat in comparison.
I feel like I do my best writing either really early in the morning or super late at night. maybe bc they're times that I don't need to focus on anything else?
I'm very big on characterization. I'll usually have the character wiki open on the personality section, even for characters I'm not new to writing, bc I want to make sure it feels like them. the only character I haven't done this for is kuroo. but I've been comfortable writing him from the very beginning of my haikyuu obsession. I always try to imagine beforehand what a speific character would say, and I alter the lines a million times before it feels right. the hardest character for me to write rn is kaiser I think, just bc I haven't read the manga lol. mammon is also hard bc I tend to write him a bit more self-indulgently than how he is in canon. I prefer lovey-dovey, comfortable with his emotions and expressing them mammon.
overall I'm really proud of how far I've come with writing!! It is something I'd like to do professionally one day, so fingers crossed that happens!! there are a few fics I'm especially proud of on my blog, and while a couple of them ended up doing waaayyyy better than I thought (cough cough, my "MC returning to the present" fics for obey me), I like to think of these ones as hidden gems :)
one of them is this fic that was like, sooo insanely cathartic for me to write bc I was literally experiencing the request in real time!! it's an akaashi x reader and I absolutely adore it.
here it is if you're interested!! I'm not a psychology major for nothing LMFAO.
this one's not a hidden gem, but that one atsumu fic I did, "beautiful liar"? one of my absolute favourite fics ever, I was SO excited to post it, I changed around the scheduled date like twice lol. in general I also love my kuroo fics, I feel like writing him comes so naturally to me.
I'm not big on angst at all, I rarely ever read it, and I actually find I'm more sensitive to angst with certain characters (aka kuroo. i'm not kidding, I'm not sure why but anything angsty with him literally pains me. I read the galaxy is endless in 2021 and literally couldn't watch any nekoma episodes for like a week bc I was so upset). Ironically, angst is one of my strong suits when it comes to writing! I just prefer writing fluff bc it's not so mentally draining. I have an angsty (ish. it's hurt/comfort-esque.) mammon fic that I'm hoping to post on saturday that I tried to post last year but couldn't bc I didn't have the energy to finish it on time. angst is so draining for me!!!
I do have a smut blog, though! I don't talk abt it on this blog bc it's SFW and I want the two to be kept separate, but the link is in my pinned post!! there's some kuroo and suna on there already lol.
and if you couldn't tell, I'm wordy. I need to work on that in my fics. and apparently every aspect of written communication. I tend to over explain myself (I was literally about to explain why and then I realized I was doing it again).
tagging (no pressure): @tetzoro @6okuto @ryomance @emmyrosee and anyone else who wants to!! feel free to join in if you'd like :3
Behind the scenes of a Tumblr Writer - Tag Game
Hey there, I love behind the scenes and since this is something that's rarely talked about, let me start the chain... if you feel uncomfortable with a question, just skip it. You can add some if you want as well.
Started writing: I wrote my first Harry Potter fanfic at age 10. Started posting around 15,16 years old. I'm now 31, so...
Started blogging: I started on a German fanfiction site around 2010/11 I think. Might have been earlier too, but back then I was mostly reading, no posting. I really started when I got into One Direction (very late, tbh)
Followers: Currently at 961, which is wild to me. I don't even know that many people IRL. I convince myself that half of them are bots tbh, so I don't freak out all the time.
Communication: The people I talk to regularly are: a few writers who answered after I constantly reblogged and commented on their works and a few people who commented and reblogged my work. Writing and blogging on here can be pretty lonely, depending on your personality and the time you're active (I'm from Europe and a lot of my followers seem to be living in Northern America, so there's the Timezone thing) ... And I found that the best way to strike a conversation is to reblog, comment, and to not be shy. I do wish I got more asks, though....
Likes: I actually filter them out. I have 793 original posts up at the moment. It doesn't give me anything to know how many likes a fic has other than to tell me which characters are liked more than others or maybe that one fic does especially well. My activity only shows me comments, asks, reblogs with tags, and answers to my own asks. I live for the tags and the comments.
Requests: I love talking to people about ideas. That's how I started the plotbunny game because I have so many ideas and so little time. And sometimes an idea just doesn't want to be written out fully. Requests are fun because YAY, I get some mail... but then I freak out because I don't really know how to write this NOW and then I freak out because it's been a week already, two weeks, wait, two months? I'd rather have suggestions where people tell me vague things like "I'd love to read something about this side character" or "Have you ever considered this character with a soulmate trope"? because then I don't have the feeling of failing the request when I write it a little bit differently.
Writing: I am a fast writer. I know that's one of my talents. I can churn out a oneshot of 1k words in less than an hour. People read slower than I write. That can suck sometimes because you've just posted this and you want to know what people are thinking but they're not as fast as you are. I do have a lot of ideas. I want to write constantly but my brain doesn't always want to. I am trying to respect that.
There are also certain things that I just feel wrong writing. I cannot write anything suggestive (I also don't like reading it) and everything past that gives me panic attacks. I can hardly write mean characters and jealousy feels so wrong to me that I cannot write it. I've also overdone it with the soulmark trope and now I feel like everything I write about it feels lifeless.
I write best in the mornings before going to work, but I don't have much time there. I don't need special music (but it helps), but I need to have at least some energy left and at best, no distractions. But I have been writing for over 20 years, so I will say experience helps a lot.
Tagging: @revasserium @shoulmate @lemurzsquad @screamin-abt-haikyuu @toomanygoldfish @satorisoup @emmyrosee @reverie-starlight @alienaiver and @writingsofanomnivore and everyone else who wants to join

baby, just say yes
Read on Ao3
Summary:
“Okay, then. Marry me.”
Annabeth waited a beat before rolling over to stare at him. His face was dead serious, but Annabeth still thought he might be messing with her.
“What?” she asked. It seemed the safest thing to say.
“Marry me.” he said, again, simply.
Annabeth never appreciated New Rome as much as she did on Sunday mornings.
They didn’t have class, homework could wait until later, there was no chance of a monster attack, and, best of all, Annabeth didn’t have to get up at the crack of dawn to slip out of the Poseidon cabin before anyone noticed she had spent the night. She and Percy could just lounge around together and be lazy for half the day, before one of them finally got up and made breakfast.
It was starting to get a little late, but Annabeth couldn’t bring herself to get out of bed. It was comfortable and Percy was there. Plus, they were deep into a discussion about the architecture of the city, which only made Annabeth happier and more unwilling to move.
There was one temple in particular that Annabeth had only seen photos of, but it looked incredible. It was Juno’s, which was unfortunate, because Annabeth would really love to sketch the ceilings for her design class.
“We should go see it,” Percy said, “It sounds amazing.”
“I wish,” Annabeth sighed, “But Juno loves to torture me. Nobody can go in unless they’re married.”
“Okay, then. Marry me.”
Annabeth waited a beat before rolling over to stare at him. His face was dead serious, but Annabeth still thought he might be messing with her.
“What?” she asked. It seemed the safest thing to say.
“Marry me.” he said, again, simply.
“Are you being serious?”
“Why wouldn’t I be serious?”
“Uhh, I don’t know,” Annabeth said sarcastically, starting to count out reasons on her fingers, “We’re barely 21, we’re not even done with college, we’ve barely even lived together—”
“We’ve known each other since we were 12, college is dumb, and we’ve made it two months living together and we’ve barely had any problems, so—” Percy said, folding each of Annabeth’s fingers down with each rebuttal.
“College is not dumb.” Annabeth countered. It was his weakest argument, but unfortunately it was also her lamest reason.
“Okay, fine, college isn’t dumb,” Percy said, waving his hand dismissively, “but waiting to get married because we’re still in college is dumb. It’s not like we haven’t experienced the real world or whatever, we’ve been doing that since we were kids.”
“Yeah, but that real world is different than like, being an adult, with a real job and a real apartment and bills and—”
“How could that be harder than fighting in two wars and literally crawling through hell?” Percy asked, only he was grinning now, because he knew he had her. She hit him with a pillow in retaliation, and he laughed.
“You’re impossible,” she said, trying to sound mad, but it wouldn’t quite come out angry.
“You just don’t like that I’m out-logicing you,” Percy said, a little smug.
“You are not out-logicing me,” Annabeth huffed.
“Okay, give me one good reason why we shouldn’t get married, then,” he said. That dead-serious look was back on his face. Annabeth would have preferred him to be smug.
“Well, first of all, you don’t have a ring. What kind of lame proposal is that?” Annabeth said, knowing she was just stalling for time.
“Who says I don’t have a ring?” Percy asked, straight-faced. The look on Annabeth’s face must have been extraordinarily panicked, because he sighed, looking defeated.
“I don’t actually have a ring ‘Beth. You can put off your heart attack.”
“Oh thank gods,” Annabeth sighed, covering her eyes with her hands. That really would have been too much too soon.
“But I can get you a ring, so that’s really a non-issue,” Percy continued, undeterred, “Next reason.”
“Everyone’ll think I’m pregnant,” Annabeth grumbled, hands still over her eyes. That made Percy laugh.
“They’ll just assume that we’re crazy for each other and also madly in love,” Percy said.
“And also that you knocked me up,” Annabeth added, moving her hands to her forehead and looking over at Percy.
“In which case it would be my fault, and we would share the embarrassment equally,” Percy said easily, grinning.
“That’s not even how it works,” Annabeth complained, “It would be way more embarrassing for me. Even though it's not true.”
“We can print ‘Annabeth is not pregnant’ on the wedding invitations,” Percy said, because it was his turn to make her laugh.
“Yeah, that’ll shut up the rumors,” Annabeth said, trying to ignore how the thought of wedding invitations made her stomach turn.
“Okay, I concede that pregnancy rumors are at least half-way a valid reason. But I’m going to need at least one more,” Percy said.
“At least?” Annabeth protested, “Is my potential humiliation not enough for you?”
“Mm. Not quite. I’m sharing at least 25% of the embarrassment, so it cancels out a bit.”
Annabeth wanted to argue that 25% was too high a percent, but he had chosen the number well. It was, to Annabeth’s calculations, fairly accurate.
“Why can’t we just wait?” Annabeth asked. She hadn’t meant for the words to come out as seriously as they did, but she saw Percy’s expression shift from joking to sincere anyways.
“If you want to wait, we can wait. Forget I brought it up”
She knew he meant it, and she was really tempted to take up his offer and forget about it. They had talked about marriage before, in an abstract way, and Annabeth hadn’t exactly been opposed, but he’d never asked straight up either. She had been clear that she wanted to be with him for the rest of their lives, but they’d never discussed a timeline for when they wanted to do things.
But it had slipped out so easily, and so sincerely. He really did want this. The least Annabeth could do was talk about it with him.
“But you don’t want to wait,” Annabeth said, rolling onto her side to face him more directly. Percy shrugged with one shoulder.
“I love you. I want to be with you forever. Why wait?”
“If you want to be with me forever, why do it at all?” Annabeth asked. Percy frowned, little lines appearing between his eyebrows.
“What do you mean?”
Annabeth hesitated, unsure how to put her feelings to words. Marriage had always given her a kind of weird feeling, nervous and a little repulsed. She was sure a psychologist would have a field day digging up why, but she didn’t really care to know. It was only the prospect of doing it with Percy specifically that made it tolerable to her at all.
“I love you,” she started, slowly, “And I want to be with you forever. But why do we have to put this weird stipulation on it? Why can’t we just be with each other?”
“We could. I’ll be with you however you want to be with me,” Percy said, reaching out, and brushing a stray curl behind her ear. Annabeth tried not to sink too much into his touch. She couldn’t afford to be distracted now.
“But you want to get married,” Annabeth protested.
“Yeah. I do.”
“Why?”
To Annabeth’s relief, he didn’t look at her like it was a weird question. It would have been fair, it was a weird question. But he could tell what she was asking, what she was really asking.
“I dunno, I can’t really explain it,” Percy admitted, “I guess I just want to make that promise to you, that I’ll always love you and always be there for you, sick or healthy and rich or poor, or whatever the words are.”
Annabeth couldn’t help but laugh a little at the end of his statement, and his own lips turned up in a smile.
“You’ve already promised me all that, though,” Annabeth said.
“Yeah, but this time it’s official. Something bigger than just you and me,” Percy said.
And maybe that was it; the wrinkle that wouldn’t let her just dive in and say yes and get married at 21 like every other lovesick young adult. Promises. Because a promise made was just a potential promise broken and the more official it became, whether in a prophecy and a knife or a ceremony in front of all their friends, the worse the fallout would be.
“What’s wrong with just promising it to ourselves?” Annabeth asked.
“Nothing at all.”
“But you really want this,” Annabeth sighed.
“Don’t say you’ll do it just because I want to do it,” Percy said.
“But you really want it?” Annabeth asked. Percy took a second to answer, biting his lower lip the way he did when he was really nervous.
“Yeah. I really want it,” he admitted.
Annabeth studied his face, every earnest line marking his expression, right up to the crinkles in the corners of his sea-green eyes.
She tried to imagine being married to him, really tried. Not just in an abstract sense, but what it would look like, what it would feel like. To her surprise, it didn’t seem that different from what they had now. Maybe even better, in some ways.
They were already so much more than boyfriend and girlfriend, they had been for a long while. Soulmates was a cheesy word, but she did honestly and truly believe Percy was hers. And while the thought of actually getting married was a little horrifying still, the thought of being married to him was a little exciting. Having people understand, at least a little bit, what they meant to each other made her feel warm inside.
And he wouldn’t break his promises to her. He was the only one who had kept every single one, and a stupid piece of paper at city hall wasn’t going to change that.
“Okay,” Annabeth sighed, finally.
“Okay?” he asked, a hopeful smile creeping onto his face.
“Okay, I’ll marry you, you dumb idiot,” she said, unable to keep a smile off her face either.
Before she could continue, he leaned over and kissed her. She could feel how happy he was through his lips, and it was supremely difficult to break away, but she knew she had to or she would get lost and her stipulations would slip out of her mind, never to be seen again.
“I have demands, though,” Annabeth said, finally pulling back. Percy laughed, loud and earnest.
“I would expect nothing less.”
“I don’t want a big wedding. Actually, I don’t want a wedding at all,” Annabeth said, trying to suppress the shudder that crept up on her at the thought.
“Easy. We can elope. Next,” Percy said.
“Really?” Annabeth asked. She had thought that might be a bigger deal to him, but he just shrugged.
“I want to be married to you, it doesn’t matter to me how we do it.”
“Even if I say I wanna go to Vegas and get it done with an Elvis impersonator?” Annabeth asked, only half joking.
“Can we really?” Percy asked, his eyes flashing with excitement.
“Maybe? If we— okay, no, I have more demands, put a pin in the Elvis thing.”
“I’ve pinned it,” Percy promised.
“Okay. I don’t want a stupid gaudy ring, it's not practical, and diamonds are unethical anyways,” Annabeth continued. Percy nodded.
“No diamonds, got it.”
“I want to keep my last name, or hyphenate or something. And if I do change it I want to wait until we’re done with school.” Annabeth said. She was a little nervous about this one, but it didn’t seem to bother Percy.
“We could both hyphenate,” Percy suggested, “Jackson-Chase has a nice ring to it.”
“Chase-Jackson sounds better, but we can deal with the details of that later,” Annabeth said, waving her hand.
“Okay, I’m putting a pin in hyphenation order. Next.”
“I don’t want to send announcements or anything. People can find out when they find out,” Annabeth said.
“Okay, but we have to at least call my mom and Paul,” Percy said. Honestly it was impressive he had gotten so far without even a small amendment to her asks. “And Piper is going to be really pissed if you keep it a secret from her.”
“We can call your parents,” Annabeth promised.
“And Piper?” Percy asked, raising an eyebrow. But the thought of telling her best friend besides Percy was getting less cringe-inducing by the minute. Annabeth actually felt herself getting excited about Piper’s potential reaction. She would absolutely freak out in the best way possible.
“She can be our witness. If you’re cool with that,” Annabeth said. Percy grinned.
“That sounds great.”
“Even if I ask her to make it as irreverent as possible?” Annabeth asked.
“We’re getting married in front of Elvis, I’m not sure how it gets more irreverent than that.” Percy said.
“We put a pin in Elvis,” Annabeth corrected, “But I’m positive Piper can somehow make it even more irreverent if she puts her mind to it.”
“Never thought I’d know an Aphrodite kid so willing to ruin a wedding,” Percy said fondly. Then an excited look flashed across his face.
“Plus, she won’t be able to stop herself from talking about it, and then we won’t have to tell anyone.” he added. He sounded so triumphant Annabeth had to laugh.
“You’re right, that’s perfect. So, when are we doing this?”
The smile on Percy’s face faltered slightly.
“Are you sure you want to do this? Because we really really don’t have to.”
Annabeth hesitated slightly. In truth the idea still scared her a little, even with Percy’s promises that they could do it in the most goofy, non-traditional way possible. But his insistence that he would stand by her with or without getting married was the thing convincing her. If she asked him to drop it now, he would, and he wouldn’t bring it up again, even though it was a big deal to him.
And really, it wouldn’t be such a big deal to Annabeth as long as they didn’t make it feel so official. Breaking a promise you made in front of an Elvis impersonator felt much less disastrous than breaking a promise you made at city hall. But it didn’t even matter, because Percy would never break that promise anyways, no matter where he made it.
“I want to be with you. And you want to be with me,” Annabeth said, “It’s a little weird for me, but if you want to do it, I’m down.”
“Okay. Cool,” Percy said, letting himself smile again. It was so radiant it just about chased away every last shred of lingering doubt Annabeth had. Not to mention the few added advantages to being married that had popped into her mind in the last few minutes.
“Plus, we’ll get a better tax refund,” Annabeth added, and Percy collapsed into laughter.
“I love you so much, I don’t even care that you’re marrying me for the tax benefits,” Percy said, rolling over and kissing her again. Annabeth let this one last longer, let herself sink into it.
“We’re getting married,” Annabeth said breathlessly, when they finally separated.
“We’re getting married,” Percy agreed, grinning.
So, maybe the institution of marriage was weird and a little sexist in origin and reminded Annabeth of old prophecies and old promises. But that was in the past. Percy was the future, her future, and wanted to have every single moment possible with him.
They were going to go to Vegas, and hire a random guy dressed as a 50s rockstar off the street and have Piper make the whole thing as ridiculous as possible. And then they were going to live the rest of their lives together, maybe as the Jackson-Chases, (or if she had her way the Chase-Jacksons), and she would finally have a word to describe Percy besides “boyfriend” which had been woefully inadequate for years.
Plus, her rebate next year was going to be awesome.
Annabeth grinned. Maybe marriage wasn’t so bad after all.

Back when the episodes first aired in January, I wrote a post on each one, which you can read starting here. I can more carefully mull over the dialogue and word choice now that the official English version is out, though each of these new posts will be quite a bit shorter than the old ones.
Episode 1: On the Run
Chinese names are formatted [family name] [given name], and usually you refer to someone using both names. If I recall correctly, only calling someone by their given name means you’re very close to them, or you outrank them. It feels like Nezha just calling him “Wukong” is a mix of both; he thinks poorly of this irresponsible monkey who ditched his holy mission of guarding the map to stay in the mortal realm doing who-knows-what, why call him “Sun”? But when SWK has him pinned, it sounds like more of an emotional appeal; “even though I’ve spoken to you scornfully and attacked you, you spoke to me fondly and fought defensively, so you must care about me. You must not want to hurt me. Listen to me, don’t take the map!”
Macaque’s more hostile about it, of course. When he just uses “Wukong”, he’s poking at an old wound; “remember how we used to be close and now we’re not and it’s all your fault?” There’s also the continuing element of “I’m better than you, I’m going to replace you, I’m going to kill you and everyone you hold dear”. He’s a rude monkey. Very disrespectful.
I wonder what it means when SWK calls Macaque “unimportant” and a “sidekick”; on the one hand, he could just be lying. If he acts like he doesn’t care, he both hurts Macaque and protects himself from being hurt. Macaque even responds with “always the comedian”, like it’s a joke, like he knows SWK isn’t being serious.
On the other hand, SWK uh... wasn’t really a good person, back in the pre-Journey days. Perhaps he genuinely never cared about Macaque, and just acted like they were friends because he was useful to have around. Macaque saying that SWK and Qi Xioatian are a mess, that he can’t imagine why WBS wants them back, that they’re all used up... that ties in with Macaque’s claims that SWK abandoned him because he wasn’t useful anymore.
Having both characters be in the wrong could be good, it’d add some layers to the morality of the situation. SWK used to be a bad person, but now he’s a good person because he’s making good choices (morally, not logistically lol). Macaque isn’t evil just for funsies, his past has warped his worldview. However, that doesn’t justify hurting other characters because of his beef with SWK. It’s Macaque’s responsibility to stop being a little shit. And once that happens, SWK shouldn’t antagonize him further. I don’t know what, if anything, they could do to make amends to one another, but they’d both need to put forth the effort.
Macaque didn’t have to mention "[their] old friend the Lady Bone Demon”, or that she wanted him to capture SWK and QXT. I think he was lowkey trying to communicate that he was under duress.
He says he’s “feelin’ out which one is the winning side”, subtly trying to let SWK know that he’s only with her because she’s stronger than him; he doesn’t claim to believe in her “destiny” nonsense or say how he might benefit from serving her. That he says this after SWK’s “puppet” quip further drives home that he’s not doing this willingly.
...It doesn’t seem like SWK picked up on that. I guess they’re just not in sync like they used to be.
---
This parallel with “Shadow Play”... could SWK become Nezha’s mentor? They won’t be at odds forever, and while Nezha isn’t eternally twelve in this version, he does seem significantly younger than “Grandpa Sun”; perhaps he’s on par with QXT/Long XiaoJiao/Red Son, or a bit “older”.
This could create conflict between Nezha and QXT; while Nezha is older chronologically and perhaps mentally, he would be the junior disciple between the two of them. QXT would of course be quite excited to have Nezha on the team, but... it’s common for older siblings to feel abandoned or replaced when a younger sibling comes along. Given that QXT clearly has some pretty serious abandonment issues, and that Nezha is more experienced and seems more mature than him, QXT might feel threatened by his presence. The potential is 👌👌👌.
---
Also, “hold on to your bricks, everyone!” is fucking hilarious like. Y’all fanartists need to stop drawing these characters with 🍑es, their asses are SQUARE!

...I know like five posts you're looking for, and I apparently did not save any of them, so I'm going to give you a bunch of links and then you're going to ask me questions and then I will answer them. Because honestly, I'd love to write up a guide but I'm unsure where to start. You know the "of course the average person only knows the formulae for quartz and some feldspars" comic? Yeah, tragically that's me, so I'm gonna hand you some links and write some real quick guides and go from there.
Here is a Computer Hardware Care 101 post, with additions by yours truly.
Here's some webmastery links, which isn't quite what you're looking for but is also the first link I had on hand. The second link I grabbed while I was searching was the how-to-unfuck-Windows-11, which I figure you guys might be running. As a slightly easier version, here is how to disable web search where it shouldn't be.
A very big masterpost of internet resources; and a beginner's guide to the indie web. Another masterpost of things to do on the internet. And a digital piracy guide, for funsies.
Quite a few of these guides will say "but seriously, switch to Linux" and while that's an option, if you're struggling to understand directories and folder trees (no judgment if you've never seen them before, unfortunately everything to me should be a folder tree) then it might not be a good option until you know what you're doing. However, if you're bold and want to try it anyway, here's a guide.
Now, under the cut, I'm gonna give you some really quick and dirty tutorials that are really more pointing you in a direction and giving you a thumbs-up about it. If you can't figure it out, that's fine, I can answer any and all questions you have. (I graduate in two months with a bachelor's in IT, it's unlikely you'll throw me.)
Excel / Gsheets / Very Basic Databases
As far as excel goes, use google sheets, it's just faster, and then making the jump to excel is easier. Your task: make a spreadsheet that tracks something and then tallies them up and hands them back to you in a nice counted format. For this example, let's track genre of books we've read.
Make a new gsheet. Leave the top ten rows mostly blank for now, but put in a real quick list of book genres in one column. Then colour row 11 in another colour as a visual divider. Under it, place a bunch of book titles in column A, the corresponding author in column B. Now right click row 12 column C, which should be next to the author's name of the first book. Select data validation, add a rule, and then select dropdown from a range.
Then click the little square button. Go back up to your list of genres, left click the top one, then hold down shift and left click the last genre. It should have selected the whole list. (Holding down shift selects everything between the first and second click. Holding down control will instead just select the second one without unselecting the first, so you can pick and choose. Do experiment with this until you get the hang of it.)
Hit ok until you're out of there, and that cell should now be a dropdown of genres. Sick. Now on the bottom-right of your selected cell should be a little square a big bigger than the rest of your cursor. Left click, hold down left click, and drag straight down to the last book. Release left click, and they should all now have that dropdown.
Go through manually and give each book a genre from the dropdown. Then go back up to your first genre, and in the column immediately beside it, place in a COUNTIF function. Your range should be column C, from row 11 to row whatever the last book is. So C11:C[number here]. Your criterion should be either "Genre" with quotations (this identifies it as a string, aka it's text), or just place in the cell number of the genre. So if the genre is Fantasy in cell D4 (and you're in cell E4), place just D4.
This should return a counted value of how many books are fantasy books. Rinse and repeat for the other genres. You should get a total of all of them. Your next task is to use the UNIQUE function to get a list of all your authors, and then to use COUNTIF to get author totals.
Once you've gotten that far, you can do whatever you want, you probably can read the documentation well enough to do whatever. I recommend learning VLOOKUP, CONCATENATE, and SUMIF. Spreadsheets are great for crunching numbers and keeping track of stuff, I recommend them.
File Trees / Directories
I'll be honest, I really don't know where to start because I don't know what you know and don't know. So if I am missing information, please tell me and I will explain. This is very natural to me, if I skip over stuff I can go back.
But it works like this. Every file on your computer has a location and it is almost always going to look pretty similar to this: "C:\Users\RaymondShields\Pictures\rickroll.png"
Note the backward slash, \, as opposed to the forward slash, /. We do not use forward slashes locally (on your computer, not on the web), but we do use them on the web, where they fulfil the same purpose.
I must heavily stress one thing: file explorer is not the internet. It should only show you things on your computer, not on the web. I hear windows 11 fucks with that, but I won't touch it with a ten foot pole so idk. This focuses on file explorer.
So let's break that url down real quick. C:\ is "C drive". It is very likely where your OS (operating system) is stored. (A and B drives are reserved for floppies and generally no longer used. Fun fact.) If your computer has multiple hard drives, they are likely to be D:\ (generally CD/DVD) and E:\ and continuing on from there.
(If you want to look at your drives, just go into file explorer and click This Computer / My PC. It will display them. If you right click and go into properties, you can see more info.)
After C:\ is a bunch of folders we generally don't care about unless we need to. Program Files and Program Files (x86) are generally interchangeable, but that is where most of your programs (the desktop version of mobile apps) are stored, alongside many many configuration files. (They are sometimes stored as .dat or .bat files. When in doubt, just google '.dat file format' or whatever format to learn what they are.)
Right now, we care about the Users folder. It should have default, public, and all local user accounts. One of those folders is your local account, for this example it's RaymondShields. (To check your local account, hit that start menu and bottom left should be a few icons, including power and settings, and the top should be an avatar. That is you.)
Go into there and there's a bunch more folders, whee. Some of them have fancy icons, those are Official Microsoft Directories. Some of them start with a dot and are program-installed. One of them is hidden and called AppData (and you can get there fast by typing %appdata% into the file explorer address bar), and you only care about that one when you're installing minecraft mods.
Now. Official Microsoft Directories are two things at once and that makes them fun. They are first and foremost Regular Folders like every other folder so far. (If you create folders in your pictures or documents directories, exact same thing.) They are also shortcuts.
Which is to say, when your computer says "get me Pictures\rickroll.png", it knows to translate that 'Pictures' into "C:\Users\RaymondShields\Pictures\". However, because 'Pictures' is just a shortcut, you can also just change where the shortcut 'Pictures' points to. If you decide you want your pictures on your D:\ drive instead, create a folder on D:\ named Pictures, then go to the Pictures directory, right click properties, and change its location. It'll ask you if it can copy files over, and from then on, when you select 'Pictures' in the file explorer sidebar, it will lead you to 'D:\Pictures\' instead.
This is a very important point: there is a difference between a relative file path and an absolute file path. Think of it like this: a relative path is saying "uh, the gas station on First Ave and 6th St?" and an absolute path is "the Shell at 12345 First St Vancouver BC Canada V4G 1N4". (Actual Canadian postal code, fun fact.)
Which means when you're in the command prompt, which you'll end up doing quite a bit for any finicky stuff, the difference between "pictures\folder\folder2\rickroll.png" and "\pictures\folder\folder2\rickroll.png" is massive.
The first one, without that first slash, is the relative path. It will look for a folder named "pictures" in the folder you are currently viewing. So if you're viewing the RaymondShields folder, it will start there and look for Pictures there. The second one, with the slash, is the absolute path. It will go all the way up to the root folder, which is generally going to be C:\ or D:\ or whatever. Where you can't go up a folder anymore. And then it will look there for Pictures.
This is good because no one wants to hardcode file paths every time. (Hardcode: using the absolute file path. Sometimes you have to, but if you say, renamed folder2, every absolute file path that needs something in a subfolder (folder within) of folder2 is going to break.) It is also bad if you're new and still getting the hang of when to use the absolute path and keep mixing it up.
You may also notice at some point that I mentioned AppData, a hidden folder inside RaymondShields. If you did not see it, go up top to the file / home / share / view bar, select view, and then view hidden folders. Now it should be visible.
Hidden folders generally mean "don't touch me" but all a hidden folder really means is that it isn't visible without that option turned on. I keep the setting on because I want to see stuff, but it doesn't prevent access or anything. However, if a file is hidden and it's a .bat or some other system config file, don't touch it unless you know exactly why you're doing it. It might break a program, it might crash your OS. Be careful, is what I'm saying.
But that's how a file tree works. You can keep going down folders for as long as you have folders to go down, and then you just go right back up the tree and down a different branch. (Think of it like a family tree, to visualize, but like, upside down. You start at one root and go down, and in a family tree, you are the root directory, and your parents are subfolders of you, and so on and so forth.)
Every single file on your computer, every single bit of data, is somewhere in the file tree. It has an absolute path, it has a file type, it is stored somewhere on your drives. Half the battle is finding it.
When you're in the command line, you go up and down and sometimes jump across the file tree using the "cd" command, and it's "cd .." to go up one level to the parent folder. You will do this a lot, and it'll be shorthand really fast.
Your phone also has a file tree. As does every other computer, in whatever form they take, on the planet. If you have an Android, plug it in, select the device under the 'This PC' directory in the sidebar, open that sucker up, and go wandering through the file tree. If you have an iphone, your file tree is hidden from you without specialized software, because Apple sucks.
Get really familiar with just googling shit. ".bat file format" and "appdata folder" and "gsheets get all unique values from range" and "motherboard specs command prompt". Right click your task bar at the bottom of your screen and open task manager, click around and figure out what stuff is by googling.
In desktop machines, you do a lot of click around and "huh what's that" and opening menus just to open menus. If you know you're in the right area of a program's menus, do as you would looking for your mother's chocolate stash and just start opening folders and drawers and menus and under the bed until you find what you're looking for. Don't be afraid to click stuff and do actions! Control+Z (hold control, press Z) is the shortcut for undoing things, and Control+Y redoes them if you just undid them.
Windows will prompt you if whatever you're about to do is permanent and cannot be ctrl+Z'd. Don't worry about it. You can just do whatever you want.
(Last tip, to learn to touch type, don't bother with any of those tutorials. F and J on keyboards generally have little ridges that you can feel, put your index fingers there, and then copy a note from a paper to Microsoft Word. Put the paper next to your monitor and just transcribe as fast as you can. You will eventually just memorize where the keys are, and if you start fucking up, feel for F and J and put your hands back in the right place and then keep going. It's fine.)
So hope that helps a bit?? I spent like an hour writing this and if you have any questions PLEASE TELL ME I WILL WALK YOU THROUGH IT. But I think it's an okay start!!
also re lrb does anyone have that one post that was going around a while back abt a site of like. computer skillz by gen z for gen z. i wanna look at it

Project Stargirl - Mission Statement
This is a project that I am currently working on, but it won't be fully working for a while. I felt the other projects weren't going anywhere (There's a lot of problems with RYTTN as an actual project as that was a large book of jokes originally, and Dozealuer can probably work but was also originally linked to that). Also learning to use Clip Studio Paint's comic tools and trying new stylization. Enjoy!
[Webtoon and Tapas links here when available (Me and the episodes)]
Extra not because Webtoon didn't allow the space and was too lazy to use Tapas's 2000 word limit (Webtoon had 400). This still needs a lot of writing but it's a blank slate and I can do whatever the heck I want with it Y A Y. Planning something somewhat big lols. Despite the format I have no current plans on printing this out (for now). No I just want to release this on Tumblr as well for funsies. It will have it's own blog though so we can stay organized not sure how much exposure that will bring but who cares. Honestly I make this content because I want to. This isn't a post about making posts you want to make though go find another post somewhere else. Seriously though yeah if you are making content do what you want. Dangit now this post has some content about that. Enjoy.

Alright pull up a chair, we’re having a serious convo.
I’ve been a bit too lenient with some stuff and it’s been killing my muse and making me not want to be here and that’s not fair to me and not fair to y’all because I haven’t said anything so I’m just gonna get it all out of the way here in a general psa post.
I want to type a disclaimer that if you recognize yourself here, it is not meant to be a vague to shame you and I’m not mad. This isn’t any sort of callout post. This is just me generally reinforcing my boundaries in a format that also serves as a psa so it’s not an issue with different people in the future. I’m here to have fun and I’m tired of not having it.
☕ Please use the reply function. Love chatting with ppl on Discord but if I post something and you wanna comment on it please just use the reply function. It’s gotten to the point where I don’t really want to post ooc shit or hcs because I’ll immediately get messages about it afterwards.
☕ I’m done adjusting Clark to make a thread work. If your muse is cruel to Clark, wishes ill will on him, talks down to him—that’s fine. We stan enemy and antagonistic relationships and shit here. But if I’ve tried to provide you a more docile situation or convo setting or Clark has offered a metaphorical olive branch and your muse continues to use it as a means to talk down to Clark or threaten him or whatever, I’m not going to keep making him uncharacteristically patient. He’s going to leave and I’m going to drop the thread and be hesitant to start new things with you. A super oversimplified example being:
Clark: Oh hey, how are you, someone? Someone: Hey you piece of shit. Stupid halfbreed demon. Can’t believe you aren’t dead yet.
Like I said, I’m all for antagonistic relationships but if all your muse does is shit talk Clark and there’s no real development happening...y’know, ask yourself if YOU would continue talking to someone that just insults you every convo you try and have with them.
☕ This is more for me but I’m gonna stop pressuring myself to answer EVERY ask I get. Threads will be priority and asks are gonna be more just for funsie things—especially if we already have a lot of development and threads going. Asks from new ppl as a means of development and icebreakers are still gonna be something I’ll try and prioritize though.
#cw long post#like i said. not intended to hurt feelings or anything. no names or anything. im just tired of not wanting to be on my own blog#because rn i feel like i either have to just force myself to just stomach this stuff or risk cutting ppl off if i address it directly#so the compromise is a public psa post that can be consumed as it is. just throwing my boundaries out here and stating them as is#(;psa)

Street Dance of China S4 Ep 3
(I’m having problems with Tumblr not saving my posts...)
- Oh no people are going to start getting eliminated! :o Well, I’m still really glad that we had two whole episodes of people just dancing and having fun and getting the opportunity to showcase who they are and how they dance.
- This question just occurred to me, but where do people look when they watch dance performances? As I watched the Go Go Brothers, I was thinking to myself, “Where do I look? If I look at one of them, I might miss what the other Brother is doing!” Just my musings lol.
- I am super shallow but people tripping makes me laugh, so yes, Nelson accidentally tripping did make me chuckle. (+ Rochka’s reaction)
- Yibo and Yixing discussing the SDOC theme song. It made me laugh because the lyrics are kind of hype but Yibo and Yixing aren’t exactly the most facially expressive people lol.
- After every performance Henry’d be like “let’s collaborate!!!!!!” Han Geng finally stepped in being like aight Henry you gotta take it easy on the recruitment because we’ve literally only seen three performances. I’m still not really sure of the format of the show from now on, so I’m not sure if they form new teams afterwards.
- Yixing was so guilty about not giving Bouboo a vote.
- Rochka’s shock @ Boubou not getting four votes.
- He’s ashamed.
- I think if a dancer gets less than 4 votes, then other dancers are allowed to challenge them for a spot to advance, but whoever loses is eliminated out of the tournament, so you have to be super confident to challenge. And if a dancer only gets 1 or 2 votes, they are eliminated.
- Yibo asked Rochka why he wouldn’t challenge Bouboo and Rochka said he’d never go against his teacher/big brother v.v They exchanged hearts but then Rochka pretended to throw the heart away and crush it lol.
- While I was expecting a bit more from Bouboo, I don’t think his challenger JC Jun was better than him. JC Jun was kind of wobbly, and I think his dance didn’t match the music as well as Bouboo’s did.
- Yixing had his head down when he voted for Ibuki too, so I think he just gets nervous about voting.
- Henry wanted to say that Ibuki was like lightning but he said the word for a flashing light/disco light and Han Geng wanted to give him shit for it.
- Yixing said that he thought AC’s waacking almost felt like krump.Yixing said that if he was to collaborate with AC, AC should do the arm swing, and Yixing would do the waacking lol. I am all for seeing Yixing doing more dance styles! Not gonna lie, I think he’d look cute doing waacking.
- Ye Yin’s performance was really nice! The music was unique and the way he danced, with the tap dance and folk-like elements really suited it.
- Rochka said he wants to know Ye Yin more and said they also have the same smile.
- Xiao Jie said he’d never battle Ye Yin but he got peer pressured by the captains into freestyling to Ye Yin’s self-produced song lol.
- To show face, you know? The entire time he was like “but this doesn’t count, okay?!!!!” since he wasn’t actually challenging Ye Yin, and it was just for funsies.
- The judges were a bit troubled by Xiaoming’s performance because at the end, he was supposed to fall but his fall wasn’t coordinated with the sound effect in the music. Xiaoming was like yeah, it’s pretty difficult but I’m hoping that my challenger wouldn’t be able to get it too and Yixing was laughing his goose laugh. But Xiaoming was eliminated with zero votes in the end.
- Kelo and Uwa had a horror mental hospital-themed dance which was interesting. Kelo said it was based on a nightmare he had as a child.
- Yang Kai wasn’t impressed though. He said he’d performed something similar with Liangliang before. He felt that Kelo and Uwa were performing but not really dancing. I can see where he’s coming from. Kelo and Uwa got three votes.
- Xiaohai ended up challenging them. He used the wheelchair too but like...somehow his expression just makes us unable to not laugh.
- I think he did really well considering he’d only heard the music once. And he returned to the wheelchair at the end of the performance lmfao
- Apparently when Xiaohai was looking up at the beginning, he was asking Li Yulong (who I assume is the person in charge of the music) for music cues but Li Yulong just laughed at him lol.
- Yibo basically said that Kelo and Uwa’s performance felt a bit abrupt in the story telling side, and that there weren’t really highs and lows to their performance.
- Rochka was talking crap about Bouboo behind his back and Yibo tattled which resulted in Rochka getting whacked in the face.
- Zyko taught Yibo and Rochka how to do his fancy leg moves.
- Yixing talking krump with Auju. Auju was like you’re really good for someone who’s only been learning for a year, but then Yixing was like, I practise 6 hours a day and Auju was like ?!?!
- Zyko + Henry (with Henry’s infamous “getting down while playing violin” move)
- Poppin’C introduced himself, saying he was from Italy and Switzerland, and Yibo and Yixing were thinking of all the things from Italy they knew. Yibo was like “...Valentino Rossi...” and Yixing was like “....pizza.....” These two spacey twinks istg.
- Anyway, Poppin’C’s performance was nice. Not only were his moves clean and impressive, but he also expressed the lyrics through his dance.
- Rochka fanboying over Poppin’C’s dance :P At one point, the lyrics were about hearts, and Poppin’C did some moves where he made a heart and Rochka here is saying how cute it was.
- Poppin’C said he missed his daughter and everybody’s like ?? a baby??? :3 :3 :3
- Also, I saw Uwa in the audience, so I think that the eliminated contestants get to continue watching.
- Poppin’C said that before, he was more fierce, but now that he has a daughter, he’s a little smoother and sweeter :3 Also he was describing that the singer’s voice in the song made his skin feel like chicken and everybody was like ??? Luckily Yixing saved the day lol. In Chinese, goose bumps are called “chicken pimples” or something like that.
- Bozi was next. In his introduction, Bozi said he was from Guangzhou, and maybe that’s why it sounded like so many people in the audience were pronouncing 波子 in Cantonese.
- Eleven said something very interesting about B-boys. He said that in their profession of dance, they don’t fear b-boys who can do tricks, but they fear b-boys who can listen to music. I think it’s a reference to the fact that b-boys are often doing their own thing and disregard the music, which makes sense. Sometimes b-boys are closer to gymnasts because they are so focused on the spins and other really athletic moves they do. But because their moves are so difficult, they sometimes don’t move to the music which is supposed to be the point of dancing.
- Bozi passed with 4 votes. And he did a bit of krump at the beginning, which Yixing admitted he fell for haha. Bozi said that Eleven helped him choreograph that part, so it’s Eleven who knows Yixing well >3
- The director asked Bozi who he thought his biggest b-boy rival on the show was. Of course, we all thought he was going to say Lil Kev, but he ended up saying Xiaoji and Xiaoji was like ?? me?? Bozi’s reasoning was that he’s more troubled by dancers with a different style from him because he doesn’t know how to beat them. From the small clips they showed, I think Xiaoji has a more animated style, whereas Bozi is more serious and reserved.
- Acky-san cheering on MT Pop lol. (”Embarrassing dad at baseball game” mode activate)
- MT Pop has really impressed me in the competition so far though. The way he moves is so cool and creative. I think he purposely goes for a kind of...monster vibe? Like he often has this creepy smile on his face lol. He’s not only dancing, but he’s using popping techniques to change how he moves entirely, including simple things like walking or how he turns his head. I think MT Pop is my favourite contestant.
- He said the monster from Pan’s Labrynth inspired this dance. So I guess I was kind of right that he does draw inspiration from monsters and other creatures.
- Low key mad at Han Geng for not giving MT Pop his vote lol. Geng-ge said he wanted to give someone a chance to challenge. Of all people, why MT Pop?? I don’t want him to goooo.
- Henry wanted to try doing the voiceover for the challenger and Han Geng indulged his overdramatic ass.
- Baby Dolphin challenged. He had some cool moves at the beginning, but I think he fell apart a bit towards the end, based on the judges’ reactions (as we didn’t see the full performance). Plus, I think MT Pop’s approach to dancing is just too unique and interesting to eliminate at this point.
- Kabamba had an interesting performance that had African and Latin influences, with big and energetic movements. Tianci challenged but he went with a general hip hop approach which did not suit the music at all. (I looked up Kabamba. Her name is Latrice Kabamba, but she also goes by 林珊娜 on her social media, which is why she’s sometimes called Nana on the show).
- Acky-san was repeating everything that people were saying around him. Stuff like jiayou!! and other words of encouragement. Dianmen who was sitting next to him was just lol’ing.
- Ma Xiaolong was performing to a song called 棋 and this word usually refers to any kind of board game. Ma Xiaolong’s first moves looked like he was putting pieces on a board and you just know that kind of stuff draws Yixing’s attention right away.
- I think Kenken’s style of dance is the kind of dance that the general public would really enjoy. Whereas some kinds of dance don’t really appeal to people who aren’t into dance, I think Kenken’s kind of dance will attract both the dance-conscious people as well as those who aren’t. I definitely got that vibe from him in the dance that he choreographed, and also his individual performance.
- Not even gonna question this. Perfection. Rochka catboy here we go.
- Okay, I agree with Colin’s performance not making the cut. Based on his introduction, he was supposed to be a popping expert, but his dance didn’t showcase that. His dance was more of a contemporary dance piece, but while we’ve had performances similar to that, his choreography didn’t stand out in comparison. After his performance he had a bit of a cry. Yixing mentioned that it was hard to judge because of the emotional aspect. But admittedly, this emotional stuff is usually the reason why I don’t like competition shows. It was revealed that Colin had lost his grandfather. Now, I’m going to sound cold, but I don’t like it when sob stories are brought in, because it makes us feel bad when we don’t like a piece of art that comes from very pure intentions. Yixing’s reasoning for not giving a vote was that he felt that the emotions overshadowed the dance, which is a problem because this is a show about dance. Han Geng’s reasoning was that he felt that the skill level could have been better. Yibo was quite moved by the performance, and I think that’s why he gave his vote to Colin.
- We got a preview for this week’s hotpot show.
- Yixing and his emotional support giant cup
- Lots of laughing (including Yixing laughing) which is good for the soul

WARNING: LONG POST! NO TRIGGERS - FEEL GOOD VIBES GUARANTEED! (Unless your heart is, like, literally made of stone!...)
ANYWAY!
So I'm going to tell you a bit about my Dad! 😍
The whole reason why I express myself creatively is because of my dad. My love of reading and writing comes from him. He is (along with my mum of course – if you want a lesson in equality and the example of “sensitive, new age man” my dad’s pic is under the definition) and always has been my biggest supporter – the person who is guaranteed to be in the front row cheering me on. I didn’t have a soccer mum growing up, I had a soccer DAD. Dad was the one who took me and my brother everywhere on the weekends! I was very lucky and privileged growing up – dad would take me to singing lessons, piano lessons, tennis lessons (I tried other activities too but I won’t mention them…basically cause I sucked lol). Dad was the one who listened and encouraged me when I wrote my first song – music was my absolute passion (and still is)and he would spend hours with me workshopping every performance I would prepare for, every recital...He was my Alpha before I knew what that term meant.
WHY AM I TELLING YOU ALL THIS???
I'm glad you asked - I'll tell you 😉
As most of you know - I have recently created my author page on Facebook. This year I have made a conscious effort to connect to those with like-minded interests. HP FANFIC! I’ve found my people!!! Specifically on the platforms Facebook and Tumblr (I still suck at it…but I’m trying!)…I’m also a lurker on Instagram.
MISSY GET BACK TO THE POINT!
Here it is: My dad is an Indi Author! I know! How BAMF is that?! He’s retired now, but back in the day he was an English and History teacher. He also taught English as a Second Language for a while and eventually moved into Higher Education in which he taught young adults with learning disabilities – his program was designed to teach them essential life skills (like budgeting, shopping, skills that would lead to getting a job) He would come home and tell me stories about his students and one of their favourite activities: Reading the newspaper together as a class and discuss the current events – dad was an amazing teacher and he is an amazing man.
When dad was an English teacher at High School, one of the activities he would run when teaching creative writing was an activity he had dubbed: “speed writing”. Now that I’ve become a part of fandom author community - I have literally only just put two and two together and realised my dad was running “sprints” in his classroom 😱😱😱
Again! What an absolute BAMF!
MISSY! YOU’RE RAMBLING AGAIN - GET BACK TO THE ACTUAL POINT!
Okay, Sorry! I'll try again...
Dad isn’t on social media (though mum is), he doesn’t use a mobile phone (but mum does – you see where I’m going with this?). As an independently published Indi-Author on Amazon (I’m gonna share the link – don’t worry), I’ve told him about the benefits of social networking. He’s been reluctant…I decided at the time not to push. Recently though, I shared with him the fact that I’ve been writing during Covid 19 – not songs and music, but stories. I told him I’ve found a safe haven in fanfiction – I’ve found people I wish I knew years ago! I’ve found friends who I’m now collaborating with (back in the day I was never in a band or anything like that). I’ve told Dad about my experience publishing my little ficlettes and stories on AO3 - how I was receiving reviews and feedback. I told him about ‘Kudos”.
His ears suddenly perked up and bless him – he said “Do you think your friends would look at my story too and do you think they would leave a comment?”
Well friends, now you *know* - I’m a daughter on a mission!
My dad’s alias is Raymond Jeffrey. His birthday is the 12th of December and I’ve been thinking...What can I possibly give the man who has literally fuelled my love of writing? Who has constantly encouraged my creativity. What does he truly want?
The answer is Kudos people!!!!!
My dad isn’t interested in the amount of sales or rankings his book gets – It’d be nice, but it won't stop him from writing his trilogy. He's already a thrid of the way through book 2!!! (BAMF!)
So friends, if I may be so bold - can I ask you to reach out and leave him a review on Amazon? Even if it is as simple as a phrase of encouragement to keep writing, to continue? The way we do in Fandom?
That would be simply magic!!!
I’m not asking you to buy his book, but if you have Kindle I’d love for you to give his original work a go and leave him a review.
You can download a free sample here:
https://www.amazon.com.au/God-Wills-Lucifers-Raymond-Jeffrey-ebook/dp/B07NTQ2C5T
Dad literally painted the artwork himself (and then had mum scan it as a PDF in order to upload it and then use it as a cover). My mum has been simply amazing – she’s his Alpha and has encouraged him on this life long goal to write a book.
Dad currently had 10 sales in total (some are purchases made by family from overseas) and recently he cheekily introduced himself to his new neighbour (my folks recently moved during Covid 19) as an ‘internationally selling author’(Omg Dad! 😆🤣😂 ). He's also hired a woman to professionally format and edit his book for SPAG – so his book has actually been professionally Beta’d (when I told him I had met people who loved Betaing for funsies he was shocked and also secretly I think he was a little jelly 🤭🤭🤭).
So yes, can you help me friends????? Be a part of this movement I’m trying to start?!
I would literally love for him to suddenly get a flood of reviews and have no idea why!
I plan to share this post with him for his birthday.
Thanks and gratitude friends!
Love from Missy xxxxx

Tell me all about the Buffyverse one I need it!!
aha ahahaha ahahahahahahahahahaha
the buffyverse aka what is shaping up to be my white whale so far only exists in the planning stages.
these are going under the cut bc they are, um. intense. I am afraid of myself.
buffyverse thoughts - google doc where i dump everything as it occurs to me, usually typing on my phone, often half-awake, sometimes drunk, debatably coherent but functions well enough as a place for me to see things i thought and be like huh okay that makes no sense but what if. lots of like, 7 level bullet lists. honestly scares me a little.
buffyverse pacing - this is a google sheet that author twitter was passing around ages ago back when I still used my twitter account and unfortunately I cannot for the life of me remember where it came from BUT it’s a really neat sheet with some formula stuff built in to help chart pacing. I use it mostly for tracking what I call tent pole beats (basically what plot and character arcs should be hitting to have a cohesive act structure), the word count is just in there for funsies, I doubt I will pay it any mind.
as you can see, I am still figuring this out and tbh am probably going to change a bunch of the stuff I have bc the beginning is solid but then it gets murky. this is truly terrifying. I have never done this level of pacing planning for fic before, I’ve only used it for novel stuff. WHITE WHALE!!!!
buffyverse storyboard - this is an google sheet format I shamelessly stole from @pynkhues after she posted about her process once bc she is a gift and i am a bridge troll who mooches off of other people’s good sense. or something. (I DIDNT SLEEP MUCH LAST NIGHT IM IN A WEIRD PLACE). idk if I’m using it the same way she is but here’s how I've been using it for the last few chapters of song and dean pov:
first tab is the overview tab with all of the chapters as rows and high-level breakdowns of each scene by column. i’m trying to keep these really simple and call out any major like, seeds basically in different colors so I have a visual map of where things are planted and where they’re bearing fruit.
after that, each chapter gets its own tab where I work out what happens in more detail, what the causality chain is, what the emotional beats are, what (if any) themes get worked in and any reminders to myself (usually some variation of DON’T FORGET X, Y, AND Z YOU SILLY BITCH)
honestly, it’s a lot of going over the same stuff from different angles and I’ve found it to be INCREDIBLY helpful for clarifying beats and arcs and all of that, especially for song where I have a lot I’m keeping track of at this point. I am v v grateful sophie shared with the class.
buffyverse character sheet - this one is something new I’m trying, this time shamelessly stolen from a recent post @foxmagpie did about her planning process for delinquents that blew me away and also struck me as incredibly handy. I’ve adapted her version a little to add some more columns bc my adhd makes it really hard to hold this much information in my head and having a quick visual reference of it all together is extremely helpful. I still need to start bringing over notes from my notes doc and plugging them in here
so yeah. basically, I am a crazy person and this project is horrifying in scope and I’m already like eh should I bother but also WHITE WHALE!!!! so we’ll see what happens.
my wip folder is a mess and a mystery to me as much as you but ask me about any that strike your fancy anyway
#god i don't know what to tag this#a terror inducing look at the dichotomy that lives in my brain#???????#i am both a trainwreck of a person#and fiercely ambitious#have exactly zero control over myself#it's super fun#buffyverse au#wip sampler#ask me stuff#my fic#shut up meg#also i have never and will never read moby dick#i have absolutely no idea if i'm referencing this correctly

List 5 facts about your most favorite Sim of yours and send this to 10 Simblrs whose Sims you adore. ❤❤❤
Thank you Mary for sending this in! I have someone who’s been on my mind
Dia Whipp
I have been working on a story save with her on the side. (I know I have enough projects dont @ me) But I don’t plan on posting it until I have enough posts drafted up and good to go. I think right now I have 5 posts in the drafts ready to go. Trying to get that number up much higher before I start posting.
Originally she started as a berry for those that remember my short lived side blog soapdish and her name was short for Diamond. Now it’s just Dia. “Whipp” I wanted to keep because it sounds like a movie star name.
Dia’s story is largely similar to her OG one in the first version with a couple of changes. It was originally meant to be a BPR of sorts but now that we’ve gone vanilla with it, it will just be a plain story. No legacy. Just beginning, middle, and end. With new characters!
I think she is one of the most unique and pretty sims I have made and I have fallen in love with her all over again working on her story.
To give some insight: Dia was a child actress who grew up in the Hollywood scene never having a life outside of it. She was an America Sweetheart type who mysteriously disappeared from the television scene a little bit in her teens only to come back with a vengeance and become one of Hollywood’s most beloved movie actors.
And one extra for funsies:
6. In creating Dia’s backstory, I had to create a sitcom for her to star in as a kid, so I called it Motherlode both because Dia’s character has 2 moms and as a nod to the sims format it’s being told it.
#Whipp Extras#nonsims#saviorhide#ask game#Sam Speaks#mdebunny#Sam attempts a story idea for the tenth time challenge#No one wants to see it#But maybe one day I'll finish telling it#Wow if you read all of this#you are a trooper#I could ramble on about backstory 5ever

I’ve got a doozy of a post here, so it’ll be pretty long. Might have some coarse language as well, so just a heads up.
I woke up this morning thinking about mozzarella. I’m not entirely sure why, but nothing really inspired me or prompted me to make mozzarella. I just thought, “hey, why don’t I try making mozzarella?”
I recalled how simple it is from watching Ugly Delicious on Netflix, so I thought that I’d give it a shot since I was up early enough.
It’s safe to assume that everyone knows about mozzarella. It’s a cheese originating from Italy, and it’s traditionally made from buffalo milk. I don’t have any access to buffalo though, so whole milk was the next best option.
After going through a wild goose chase trying to find citric acid and rennet, I was able to buy everything else that I needed to make the mozzarella.
Doing some research on making mozzarella, it seemed pretty easy enough, and doesn’t take long at all, so I felt pretty confident that things would turn out okay. It was, however, the complete opposite, and I have never felt so nervous making something like cheese from scratch.
Hit the jump to read about my experience, and a recipe.
So, the recipe was simple enough, and only called for a few ingredients. Whole milk, preferably pasteurized, not “Ultra Pasteurized” or whatever it was called. Some rennet, citric acid, and salt.
I took a gallon of whole milk and poured it into a large 6-quart dutch oven, then poured in my citric acid and water mixture. Simple enough. Then I heated the milk up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
Devil number for funsies
After I removed it from the heat, I added the rennet and water mixture to the milk, stirred it in, and then the waiting game began. This is where the nervousness began to set in, because a lot of recipes called for a five-minute waiting time for the milk to stiffen up, almost like soft tofu.
However, I was not experiencing that at the moment. I even posted an Instagram story with the frustration that was starting to come through.
About ready to give up at this point. But at the same time, giving up was not an option.
I waited five minutes, then I waited another five. Still not getting the soft-tofu like curds to show up yet. I’m starting to get worried because I was not thrilled with the idea of pouring a bunch of milk with a bunch of crap in it down the drain.
So this time, I waited another 10 minutes, and then out of desperation, when I tried to cut the curds, it turns out I got that soft-tofu that I wanted!
YES
From there, I put the pot back on the heat so I can heat up the curds to extract more whey out of it. Up to 105 F, the whey started to separate from the curds, and it was looking more like what I saw on the YouTube tutorials.
Yuck. But YESSSSSSS.
After working it a little bit, I scooped out the curds with a slotted spoon and put them in a bowl. It was now time to heat up the cheese in a microwave to get it up to 135 F so I can shape the cheese and get the mozzarella to it’s deserved glory.
I was a little off-put by using the microwave, but almost every recipe I looked at kept mentioning the microwave. I’m no expert on cheese, so I’ll take any advice that I can get.
Slop time, baybee
I didn’t think I was going to yield that much cheese. I think I got about a pound of mozzarella. I didn’t think of it that hard though, since I wanted to make as much cheese as I could. The fact that I’m making my own cheese was exciting enough.
After warming up the cheese in NOT the bowl pictured above, I salted the mozzarella a bit to draw out the taste, and started folding, stretching, and working the cheese. However, it was kind of cold in my kitchen, so working the cheese was a little difficult, and I couldn’t really see how stretchy we could get the mozzarella. I think that’s something to ponder the next time I make this.
But this is what I was left over once I pinched off my small mozzarella balls.
Oh my god, what am I going to do with all this...
The experience of making my own mozzarella was fun, and I think there are going to be a few times where I make this, but I might try different things with it. For starters, I might use a different kind of rennet, since the one I used was something that no one recommended at all and that I should avoid (oops).
Overall, this was really fun to make. But enough of my rambling: here’s what I did to make this mozzarella.
Ingredients
1 1/4 cups of water
1 1/2 tsp citric acid
1 Junket rennet tablet
1 gallon of milk, whole
1 tsp. kosher salt
I’d like to note that you NEED a thermometer for this. Do not attempt to wing or ballpark the temperature. You will screw it up.
1. Take one cup of water and stir in your citric acid until it dissolves. Take the remaining water and put it in a separate bowl/container and dissolve the rennet tablet in there.
2. Pour your gallon of milk in a non-reactive pot (like a ceramic dutch oven) that’s about 6-7 quarts. Stir in your citric acid solution into the pot and then set the pot over medium high heat, heating up the contents up to 90 F.
3. Once the milk is 90 F, remove the pot from the heat and then stir in the rennet solution and start counting to 30. Once you get to 30, put the lid on the pot, and leave it alone for 5* minutes.
* I’d just like to note that if it’s still liquid-y, let it sit for another 5-10 minutes. I waited almost 20 minutes until I started getting the soft-tofu texture.
4. After the milk has set, cut a grid into the curds, cutting horizontally, then vertically, and that you’re cutting to the bottom of the pan. Once you’ve cut the curds, put the pot back onto medium heat, letting the curds reach a temperature of 105 F, while stirring gently.
5. Once the curds reach the temperature of 105 F, remove from the heat, and stir gently for another 4-5 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to remove the curd and place into a microwave-safe bowl.
6. Microwave the curds for about a minute and drain off any excess whey. Fold the curds together so they hold together a little bit. You may want to use food-safe gloves so you don’t burn the heck out of your hands.
7. After folding it together a few times, stick the bowl back into the microwave for 30 seconds to heat up the cheese, and check the temperature. If it’s 135 F, the cheese is ready for stretching and shaping. If not, stick it in the microwave for another 30 seconds. You want the cheese warm enough so it’s easy to stretch and fold.
8. The more you work the cheese, it’ll become smoother, more firm, tighter, shinier. Once you get to that point, you can start pinching off balls of mozzarella in any shape that you want. Me, I pinched off four small balls so I could use it for my plating.
And... that’s it!
For my mozzarella balls, I’ve topped it off with some salt, some fresh ground pepper, and garnished it with basil and olive oil.
Everyone says that it’s good right away, and you can store it in a small container with some of the leftover whey with salt so that it doesn’t dry out.
With how easy this was, I’m definitely going to have to do this again. It’s so easy and it’ll save so much money, and now I can brag to people that I’ve made my own cheese.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this new format where I’ve tried to take pictures of the cooking process. I don’t know if I’d ever do that again, but I’ll admit it was fun. If I had another person with me that could take pictures, that would be ideal, but... yeah. *shrug*

Cutting Myself on all this Edge
This post has no reason to exist, except that I keep bothering my friends with literally dozens of messages making fun of this and I need a place to keep it all.
What is “this”? Oh, just some people having some Fucking Strong Opinions about how Harry Potter is the Pied Piper (they use that comparison multiple times. It gets old fast) leading our children into the End Times with its pro-illuminati Satan-worshiping witchcraft lessons. You know, the usual.
And no, this isn’t a battle of Forest vs. the Crazy Christians; I’m like 94% sure I’m not working through any sort of religious trauma, partly because I never went deep into this kind of mentality but mostly because I’m just delighted by The Cutting Edge, a website for a very specific type of Christian (no, not you, Catholics. You’re specifically not invited to the Cutting Edge club because you worship demons) interested in the New World Order, the evils of public schools, and Satan’s favorite color.
No, really.
Satan’s favorite color is green. They don’t . . . really explain why.
This site still exists and is the best thing I’ve ever seen. Hours of fun for the whole family. I mean, look at their logo:
And look at their illustration that goes along with their particular Harry Potter series:
Are you not entertained?!
I cannot stop reading these amazing essays -- which delve surprisingly deep into Potter lore, considering they say that there is no sufficient reason for a Christian to ever read a single page of these books -- and I can’t keep harassing my friends with thousands of notifications, so here we are.
Starting small, let’s read the book review for Harry Potter and the Sorceror’s/Philosopher’s Stone. Or, as they prefer to call it:
This book chronicles Harry's first year at the Hogwart's School of Wizardry and Witchcraft. Prepare to be shocked for the bold, blatant, and bodacious raw Satanism that underlines this story! Since "proper"Drug Use is essential in opening the centres of vision and achieving higher consciousness, we should not be surprised that First-Year students learn Drug Use, Drug creation, in a way that makes Drug use seem glorious! You will be shocked to see '666 ' in the story line, and symbols of Antichrist receiving a "fatal wound"!
That’s the entire subtitle. That’s just how they roll on
THE CUTTING EDGE
Part 1: The . . . Plot? I Guess?
This story introduces us to Harry Potter, an orphaned boy sent to live with his "horrible" Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia, and their fat, obnoxious son, Dudley.
I feel very comfortable with the fact that Cutting Edge has chosen to put scare quotes around the word “horrible,” like that’s up for debate. Combined with the very normal and sane opinions expressed elsewhere on the site, this really bodes well for their ideas about parenting and childcare in general.
all through this book, any non-witch folk -- like Vernon and Petunia -- are depicting in disgusting language.
Typo is theirs, as is the apparent offense they take to the fictional depiction of people who are very much not real. While there hasn’t been any exciting formatting going on yet in this essay, I will replicate it as much as possible, and any changes made will be clearly indicated through square brackets and ellipses.
Non-witch people are known as Muggles , and they are depicting as being "dumber than a box of rocks", of being physically obscene, and of living the most boring, unimaginative lives possible.
I was going to argue that this isn’t true, but I suppose we don’t really meet any cool Muggles in the first book. I guess I have to give them this, but I don’t feel good about it.
Witches, on the other hand, are depicted as being very smart, very "with it", of being physically normal, and of living wonderfully exciting lives
It bears repeating:
a flashback scene to the time 10 years earlier when Harry's Mom and Dad were psychically murdered by evil Lord Voldemort
Okay. Now I’m no Potterologist, and so I’m hoping any true believers will correct me if I misinterpret the holy texts,* but I don’t think Harry’s parents were psychically murdered by anyone. I’m pretty sure they were quite literally, physically made dead. Just because it’s a beam of magic doesn’t mean it’s not physical anymore, does it? Voldy didn’t Professor-X Harry’s parents and they died of three D10 psychic damage or anything; he just fucking killed them with a wizard gun. Am I wrong here?
*By which I obviously mean Harry Potter. It teaches children how to become Satanists; we’re clearly dealing with a book of immense spiritual relevance.
Skipping a little bit of plot summary, which is a combination of, well, summary of the plot, although Cutting Edge is determined to get Hogwarts’ name wrong, and a little bit of baffling End-Times(?) nonsense thrown in for funsies --
Of course, a Christian would be immediately alerted to this turn of events [in which Harry defeats Voldemort and is scarred] because soon a supernaturally powerful global leader will demand everyone on earth take some sort of a mark in exactly this place on the body.
What?
-- and there’s some weird formatting things going on that I think are supposed to imply something sinister but really just come off as goofy:
They have Harry on a boat headed for nowhere and they had every intention of keeping Harry from ever attending Hogwarts School. However, Harry receives supernatural assistance.
(It’s not letting me do colors on desktop, which is stupid, but that “supernatural” is supposed to be both bold and red)
There’s a long description about the difference between the Real and Fantasy worlds, which apparently Satanists try to live in both of (and so does Harry, making him also a Satanist. This is actually one of the less-stupid arguments Cutting Edge has for Harry’s Satanism, so just go with it) that’s honestly more boring than funny so I’m skipping it. Then we get to a much more fun section: why Rowling’s descriptions of Muggles are . . . teaching children to hate Jesus?
Part 2: Rowling Hates Muggles
Rowling consistently depicts people who do not practice Witchcraft in most obnoxious terms. They are depicted as being really, really dumb, boring, and living a life not worth living . We share these examples, below, with you so you can appreciate the truth of this statement. Uncle Vernon was also the only Muggle quoted in the book as being really opposed to Witchcraft; therefore, when readers see how stupid, ugly, and boring Vernon is, they get the idea that all people who are opposed to Witchcraft must be as stupid, ugly, and boring as Vernon is.
... Are all people opposed to Witchcraft cowardly bullies?
I mean, you are the one going after a children’s book for daring to entertain children, so if the shoe fits . . .
"Harry was glad school was over, but there was no escaping Dudley's gang ... Piers, Dennis, Malcolm, and Gordon were all big and stupid, but as Dudley was the biggest and stupidest of the lot, he was the leader." [p. 31] How do you know your own child does not think of you in these terms? After all, you are a non-magical Muggle.
I actually can’t complain, because this is just accurate. I 100% hate my parents and think they’re stupid because they’re not literally witches/wizards. Our relationship has never fully recovered.
"Uncle Vernon made another funny noise, like a mouse being trodden on." [p. 47] Remember Adolf Hitler, the most famous Black Magick wizard in modern history? He depicted Jews as Rats in his Propaganda Machinery, convincing the Germans they should extermination the "vermin".
GODWIN’S LAW HAS LANDED!
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN AND EVERYTHING OUTSIDE OR IN-BETWEEN, WE HAVE OFFICIALLY COMPARED HARRY POTTER TO HITLER!
We find it highly interesting that, later in the book, when the Evil Lord Voldemort is supposedly killing the unicorn in the Forbidden Forest, the color of the blood of the unicorn is silver!
Okay, but like . . . why? I mean, it immediately follows a description of the Bloody Baron, who is depicted with silvery blood because he’s, like, a ghost, but I’m not sure what that has to do with unicorns or with Satan. Are unicorns associated with Satan? Is silver associated with Satan?
Is everything Satan? Am I Satan?
There’s a lot of rage at a gentleman named Chuck Colson throughout this section, who apparently made the grave error of telling parents it was okay for their children to read Harry Potter because it doesn’t involve contact with the supernatural. And I’ll admit, that seems like a pretty bad defense of the books, because if you define “supernatural” as ghosts, poltergeists, or whatever the hell Voldemort is, then there is absolutely a metric buttload of supernatural stuff in here.
Arguably, a better defense of why it’s okay for children to read these children’s books is that they are books made for children, but YMMV on that one. Probably depends on whether or not you think children are sitting in the giant metaphorical (or literal? Not sure Cutting Edge gets metaphors) lap of the Antichrist every time they pick up the books.
(A visual reminder.)
Part 3: Basically Part 2, But This Time There Are Colors
The next section is on colors, which are very important to Cutting Edge. As linked back in the very beginning of this post, there is an entire essay devoted to the demonic colors used in the Harry Potter books, but we get just a taste of it here:
Rowling makes use of vivid colors in her story line. Some of these colors are consistent with the colors preferred by Satan and his followers in the Occult. Rowling's use of such vivid colors also enables her to paint the Fantasy Reality of Witchcraft as THE most exciting place to live. Wizard of Oz uses the same technique: when Dorothy is in her real world in Kansas, the color is black and white, but when she steps into her Fantasy Reality, the scene explodes in the most wonderful color.
Interesting interpretation. An alternative view is that Rowling needs to use more descriptors for things within the Wizarding World, because her readers won’t have the same frame of reference to draw from that they do with real-life objects and events in the Muggle World, and one can assume that these lovely descriptions are part of her being a, y’know, good and evocative writer, and the colors are just related to how she pictured the world she was creating.
But I mean, yours is good, too.
Actually, the citations provided by Cutting Edge don’t depict anything especially vivid; it’s not like she’s throwing massive amounts of purple prose at the descriptions of the Satanic green of Harry’s eyes. In fact, the only enhancer used is “emerald” at one point. For the most part, this essayist is just . . . noticing when the word “green” appears in the text and calling it a siren song to entice good Christian children out of the colorless world of reality and goodness and into the technicolor dreamland of magic and mayhem.
Also, please remember that Satan has a favorite color, and it’s green. For all birthdays and Christmases (or wait, whatever the Satanic version of Christmas is! Halloween?), please make sure all gifts are green or green-adjacent.
Even though Harry is nearly as powerful as a Black Magick practitioner, and could easily have decided to go over to that side, he declines to go over to the Dark Arts. Dumbledore assures Harry that he is not evil as Lord Voldemort. However, as a symbol of the Black Arts he could perform, Rowling makes Harry's eyes green.
This observation -- and I use the term loosely -- implies that every single Slytherin and villain of the Harry Potter series would have green eyes, to demonstrate their capacity for evil. The fact that this is obviously not the case must just be a red herring.
Part . . . 4, I think?: Drugs, Magic, and Magic Drugs
Harry and his friends learn how to makedrugs, and the glory of taking them.
The fact that they don’t actually take any in this book is entirely irrelevant. (”Drugs” should also be red as well as bolded. It’s very serious business.)
The plant, wormwood, contains thujone, an hypnotic drug, banned by the FDA since 1915 [Christian News, "Latest Potter Book Meets Cautionary Response From Christians, July 17, 2000] ; further, wormwood is used to make Absinthe, a hallucinogenic liquor. Therefore, the drug to which Rowling makes reference is very real, and is so dangerous the FDA has banned it -- to this day, it is banned!
While thujone was illegal at the time of this essay in the United States, it was actually never banned in the UK . . . you know, where these books take place and were written? I don’t think Rowling gives a solitary fuck about our FDA standards. Also, I don’t know if you could just straight-up buy wormwood on whatever the equivalent of Amazon was in 1998 (was it just Amazon?), but you sure can now. Can’t be all that scary.
You can hardly get a better description of drug use, and drug glorification than this!
I wonder why they keep using red to emphasize all these evil things . . . you’d think they’d go with Satan’s favorite color/the sign that Harry is the Antichrist to really jazz up all of the evil.
"The drug message in this book is clear. To reach your goals in life like Harry Potter, you need to know how to make drugs and take drugs in just the right way or else you are a 'dunderhead' and will never succeed." [http://www.fflibraries.org/Book_Reports/HarryPotter ; written by a physician and father who asked to remain anonymous].
The fact that this URL doesn’t lead me to that review is one of the saddest things I’ve faced all month.
The sections on spellcasting are far less interesting, reiterating a pretty simple refrain: all magic is bad, because the books say some magic is good then the books are bad, it’s all teaching children about Satanism. Rinse and repeat.
During final exams, teachers passed out special quills with which to write; these quills had been "bewitched with an Anti-Cheating spell". The reason none of the teachers felt they could trust the honor of the students to not cheat is obvious enough; in Witchcraft, no Absolute Good and Evil exists. All objective, eternal standards of conduct and morality have been rejected. Therefore, teachers knew full well that all the students would cheat on their final exams if they thought they could get away with it. It is a sad commentary that teachers had to place an Anti-Cheating spell on the quills to prevent exams cheating. Christian parent, is this the "morality" you want your students to learn?
Now, it might just be my obvious Satanist addiction to witchcraft talking, but doesn’t it seem more likely that there’s an anti-cheating spell because sometimes . . . children cheat? And no amount of Good Wholesome Christian Teaching is going to completely eradicate the desire to cheat on a test, because of course it isn’t.
It’s not because the school has taught the students that cheating is okay and cool and sexy or whatever -- in fact, if you want evidence that there is an absolute moral standard against cheating, it would be that the teachers are actively taking steps to prevent it! If witchcraft really was all about how there’s no such thing as good and evil . . . well, for one thing they wouldn’t teach Defense against the motherfucking Dark Arts, but they also wouldn’t care if their students cheated enough to provide anti-cheating quills, because they wouldn’t consider cheating a bad thing, because they wouldn’t consider anything a bad thing!
Also, I’m not sure what listing all of the spells in the book and what they do really says about Satanism, except that . . . spells exist, and are used? Which I feel like you should really expect from the book about magic and wizards; if that’s an alarming surprise, then you’ve made a wrong turn somewhere way earlier down the road.
Part whatever: Seriously, Rowling is just ALL ABOUT Satan
This entire section is basically about how JKR must be a Satanist, because she apparently depicts the world of magic and the occult with perfect accuracy, and how could she do that except through being an active practicing witch herself?
Mirrors are believed to be a portal to another dimension, including Time. Occultists believe they can go forward or backward in Time with a mirror being one of the Dimensional Portals. Harry encounters a mirror, "magnificent ... as high as the ceiling, with an ornate gold frame, standing on two clawed feet ... Harry stepped in front of it. He had to clasp his hand to his mouth to stop himself from screaming ... for he had seen, not only himself in the mirror but a whole crowd of people standing right behind him ... 'Mom?', he whispered. 'Dad?' They just looked at him, smiling ... Harry was looking at his family, for the first time in his life." [p. 208-9]
Intriguing theory, except of course for the fact that the mirror isn’t a portal to jack shit; unless you count the weird trick where he can get the stone (and only the stone) through wishes or whatever the fuck these idiots do, and all it does is show someone what they want. It’s not actually reaching into the past to find Harry’s parents or whatever, just like it’s not actually reaching into a parallel dimension future where Ron is the king of everything. It’s just . . . idk, reading their subconscious and throwing up a neat visual or something. With magic. It’s complex, but it’s definitely not what Cutting Edge says it is.
Not pictured: a portal to another physical, metaphysical or temporal dimension. It’s literally . . . just a mirror, but a mirror that reflects your insides instead of your outsides. It’s clever or something.
Do you realize Rowling has just made the creator of the Sorcerer's Stone 666 years old? Do you realize what this means? Since the number, '666', is a symbol of Antichrist and his Mark of the Beast [Revelation 13:18] and since Rowling ties this number to the Elixir of Life, Harry Potter is teaching children that the way to achieve eternal life [Elixir of Life] is to obey the Antichrist and take his Mark of the Beast!
Fucking. Yes. I don’t even have witty commentary for this, I’m just delighted by every word in that section. I’m smiling so much.
This is a gift and we’re reading it for free!
Wonderful! We have the forbidden practice of drinking blood in this Potter book, forbidden in Scripture [Genesis 9:4-5] but practiced regularly in Satanism. I wonder if Chuck Colson, Focus On The Family, and Christianity Today ever told their Christian followers about this? Have they even read this book, before they issued their acceptance of Potter?
Don’t you dare try to employ sarcasm. People who believe in the Illuminati and New World Order are not allowed to be sarcastic -- even if the thought of this faceless stranger typing that little clever “Wonderful!” and smirking to themselves about how witty they are is a very, very good mental image.
Also, what the fuck did unicorns do to deserve being associated with the Antichrist? I mean, I get the color green; it’s the color of nature and the outdoors, and that shit fucking sucks. (Fuck you, trees!) But unicorns?
Unicorns have never done anything to anyone, ever. Unicorns couldn’t be Satanists if they tried.
This means evil Lord Voldemort -- whose killing curse upon Harry, his Mom, and his Dad had rebounded against him when Harry did not die -- is near death, and is seeking to drink the Unicorn's blood to stay alive long enough to finally achieve eternal life through drinking the '666' Elixir of Life.
Yes, that is -- sort of -- the plot of this book.
This is the specific New Age doctrine being taught here: people will have to draw their temporary spiritual life from The Christ until the time comes when their individual consciousness will have been raised so much they will achieve their personal godhood, and live forever!
This concept is genuine New Age, is consistent with prophecy, and Rowling depicts it very well!
Christian parents, do you want your child to be taught this New Age doctrine? Can you see Harry Potter playing the Pied Piper and leading your children straight to the Mark of the Beast?
Pied Piper count: 1 (that’s not a lot so far, but it’s used in like every essay. It’ll come back)
I don’t know how to tackle this, because I’m not sure Cutting Edge really understands that Voldemort is the bad guy in these books. Children aren’t going to read this book and then go, “Cool! I’m gonna go stab a unicorn and drink its essence because my favorite role model You-Know-Who told me to!”
The unicorn blood thing is unilaterally portrayed as a pretty bad move. Voldemort’s goals in general are pretty obviously not great ideas. I know Cutting Edge doesn’t have the benefit of hindsight here, but Voldemort’s quest for immortality and how bad and wrong and fucked-up that is, is kind of one of the major through-lines of the entire story. It could be argued that it’s not Voldy’s desire to live forever that’s wrong so much as his whole, like, genocide thing, which is legit . . . except that all the methods to attain immortality involve killing someone, or stealing something, or otherwise being Not a Good Dude.
Voldemort is Not a Good Dude, and I don’t know how to communicate that any clearer than the books written for third graders already did.
Part 6: I don’t really know, I just wanted a chance to break this endless essay up and this seemed like a good place to do it. So let’s talk about spells some more
Many spells require both the taking of drugs and demonic possession, so it is a matter of gravest importance that Harry is actually going to learn to cast spells. When Chuck Colson dismisses the casting of spells as innocent and of no real importance, did he know this fact?
I seem to have missed the part where Harry goes off his ass on LSD and gets possessed by B’aal. Was that in the Silmarillion?
whenever a witch changes the physical characteristics of something, he or she is practicing very high-level witchcraft, has a high level of demonic possession, and has had to carry out human sacrifice themselves or have someone else do it for them.
“It’s fiction” is often a bullshit excuse to justify bad framing, but I feel like it applies here, because maybe in the “real” world spellcasting requires you to trip balls and summon demons, but it’s extremely obvious that it doesn’t work like that in Harry Potter! You can’t just say that’s what the books are teaching when the books aren’t actually teaching anything even close to that!
(I’m starting to feel like my emphasis italics are having a similar effect to Cutting Edge’s red bolded letters. Fuck if I’m gonna stop using them, though.)
If Harry and his pals were wearing goat heads and putting virgins into a giant blender or something I think you might have an argument here, but when the people reading your essay have eyes and can see that the things you’re describing aren’t anywhere in the books, you’re just lying. And it’s very obvious, and I still love you, Cutting Edge, but you’re being disingenuous and it’s starting to kill my joy-boner to constantly have to point out the ways you’re misunderstanding a children’s book, especially when I think you’re kinda doing it on purpose. So how about you chill just a little bit and we’ll all read some Harry Potter together.
Magical Drafts and Potions , by Arsenius Jigger. Some of the potions are very real, very deadly.
Wait, did Rowling publish this one, too? How do you know what’s in the book? Does the book list some real potions and how to make them, or is this another thing that’s only available in the Cutting Edge’s copy of the books?
Students were told they could also "bring an owl OR a cat OR a toad." [p. 67] These three creatures are important to an occultists. Satanists have always revered the cat because of its reputed "nine lives", which is a symbol of reincarnation. Cats are also symbols of a witch's familiar spirit.
They have revered the frog because his prominent bulging eyes represent the All-seeing nature of Lucifer. Frogs are also consistently used in many of the potions witches concoct. They revere owls as a symbol of occult wisdom and omniscience -- again because of their eyes.
So fuck cats, I guess. They’re being pretty unfair to owls and frogs too -- especially insulting their poor eyes. They can’t help it! -- but I’m a crazy cat lady and I’m not feeling this slander.
Actually . . . my cat looks pretty high right now. Maybe she is channeling Satan.
Okay, never mind. Fuck all these animals. They’re all evil. This article is entirely right, and I renounce all of my previous statements.
McGonagall has obviously mastered her Craft because she was the tabby cat seen by Uncle Vernon reading a map, back in chapter one. Remember that any time a witch or wizard practices transfiguration, they need expert spell-casting, and demonic possession. I bet no one ever told you that little fact, did they?
No, they didn’t, because it’s not even remotely relevant to the fictional book written for children.
Like, I’m trying very hard to not question anyone’s religious beliefs, so if you believe in the occult and magic and all that then more power to you, and maybe it’s totally valid to think that real-life magic spells requires demonic possession. That doesn’t make it true in the books, though! Stop making shit up!
Potions Class -- taught in one of the dungeons [p. 136] How disgusting must the atmosphere for this class, and others, taught in a dungeon, which was built to torture people to death?
If only the classroom, teacher, and overall environment for the Potions classes was meant to be as viscerally unpleasant as possible. Then putting them in the dungeons would be a really good idea, to reflect the Slytherins’ backwards beliefs and the misery of their intolerance.
Like, JKR isn’t this subtle. When you name one of your antagonists “Bad Dragon,” you’re not aiming for this subconscious-symbolism bullshit.
Part 7: Did you think this book had a good moral? Fuck you!
The fundamental occult/Communist philosophy
Well, I guess we’re talking about Communism now! Because if there’s anything Harry Potter is interested in above all else, it’s Communism.
My favorite things about these essays is how they will pull in other social ills -- abortion, public schools, communism -- and slap them into their argument regardless of if it makes any semblance of sense.
Anyway, Cutting Edge actually has a legitimate argument here, although they take it about 50 steps too far:
the "Ends Justify The Means" permeates this entire book. To achieve a goal deemed good, Harry and his friends consistently break rules, steal, and use Witchcraft against others.
It is true that Harry and his friends break the rules, lie, and otherwise do “bad” things in the service of an ultimate good, and that they suffer relatively few consequences for it. This is a legitimate point, and actual people who know things agree.
I’ve been struck speechless by this article before, but this is the first time it’s because I think they might have an actual point.
Hermione was very mildly punished [for her lie to the professors about why they were fighting the troll], but her lie cemented a friendship with Ron and Harry, leading a child to conclude that her lie served an excellent purpose, and could not be considered 'wrong'.
I mean . . . yeah? I don’t think it’s entirely reasonable to assume that children will take that lesson away, but I read it as a child and I certainly didn’t think Hermione was wrong to lie -- nor do I now, which I suppose proves just how powerful the Satanic conditioning was.
Professor Quirrell told Harry, "There is no good or evil, there is only power, and those too weak to seek it ." [p. 291] This is standard Witchcraft, and standard Illuminist doctrine. This doctrine is the guiding light to those Illuminists who are driving the world into the Kingdom of Antichrist. This doctrine is very seductive to those immature children trying to grow up in our current culture; since a child's inherent nature is evil, he will find such philosophy more appealing than the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Christian parents, beware!
Oh thank God Satan, we’re back to the bullshit. I was getting seriously weirded out by the idea that they had good points buried in here somewhere, but now we’re just faced with the argument that the bad guy says . . . bad things . . . and is defeated because his bad ideas are obviously bad and wrong . . . and this proves that the book is teaching children to believe the bad things?
No one reads these books and wants to be the bad guys, Cutting Edge. Kids aren’t buying Harry Potter wands and robes to pretend that they’re Quirrell, trying to keep people from finding out they have a Dark Lord on the back of their head. (Though now that I’ve mentioned it, that sounds like a very fun game.)
Depicting bad things in a way that makes it clear -- to children, I must reiterate -- that they’re bad isn’t the same thing as romanticizing or promoting those bad things. This is basic stuff, CE.
Revenge Motive : "Hagrid almost had to drag Harry away from Curses and Countercurses (Bewitch Your Friends and Befuddle Your Enemies with the Latest Revenges: Hair Loss, Jelly-Legs, Tongue-Tying, and Much, Much More , by Vindictus Viridian." [p. 80] Throughout these books, seeking revenge and attacking your enemies is high on the priority list of Harry, his friends, and other students. Do you want your children to adopt this most Satanic attitude? Notice the first name of the author of this revenge book, above, is named "Vindictus, i.e., Vindictive".
Students are taught to depend upon Witchcraft for every part of their lives . All food is conjured up rather than prepared, all the dishes are conjured clean, and even the hospital depends upon Witchcraft to get students well [p. 156]. Neville Longbottom, one of the more clumsy students, received a crystal ball from his grandmother called a Remembrall . The ball glows scarlet if you have forgotten something you should have done. [p. 145]
That’s . . . fuck, that’s actually kind of another good point. Stop kinda making sense, goddamn it!
A lot of the criticism is just that the things wizards do are cool, which will make kids want to become witches/wizards in order to do those cool things, too. And to be fair, the stuff Harry et. al. does are cool, and I did want to be a witch when I grew up. Fortunately, I was in third grade, and so my options for witchcraft were relatively limited; by the time I was old enough to pursue the endeavor properly, I was also old enough to know that it was actually nothing like Harry Potter. If magic actually was anything like those books make it seem, we’d have a lot more witches running around, zapping shit.
Possible reference to homosexuality . When I was first researching Harry Potter, I examined several pro-Potter websites. The author of one of the articles said that one of the probable developments she felt would occur in the latter books was the advent of homosexuality in the story theme. She said such activity was only hinted at in the first books.
Oh dear god, Cutting Edge found the shippers. I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy.
(I wonder if this means they’ve also read the Draco Trilogy.)
I do have to take issue with one last point in this bit about morals, where they talk about how scarring it might be to a child to see Voldemort possessing the back of Quirrell’s head:
Rowling could not have created a better description of demonic possession by a dark and powerful demon! Christian parent, is this the type of thing you want your child to bring into their minds?
Thing is, I’ve been in a lot of Christian circles for most of my life, and this sounds exactly like the kind of dark, traumatizing thing many religious parents would be happy to put into their children’s minds.
Part Almost Done: Definitely Intentional Satanic Symbols, Really
Hey, did you know the number 11 was occultist? I didn’t, and when I Googled it, 4 of the front-page results were Christian or conspiracy groups making this claim, 2 were unclear, and 3 actually seemed to indicate some level of belief in the power of the number 11. Though I might’ve stacked the deck with the word “occult”; when I changed my search term to “magic,” I found almost exclusively positive articles about the symbolic power of the number 11, so . . . Cutting Edge isn’t necessarily wrong.
But boy, did you know how many times the number 11 shows up in Sorcerer's Stone? Not very much, but if we stretch our credibility a little bit, we might see something spooky!
Harry was eleven (11) when he was admitted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The number eleven is considered sacred to the occultist, as it is the first primary number. Occultists will also add up numbers to get an occult number that is sacred; thus, I was highly interested when the bank vault maintained for Harry by his Mom and Dad before their death was numbered '713' [p. 73]. When you add '7 + 1 + 3 = 11'. Then, we learn that, in the money of the Fantasy Reality, "twenty-nine Knuts to a Sickle". When you add 2 + 9 = 11.
When Harry found the wand that was meant for him, it turned out to be 11 inches long! [p. 84]
The Hogwarts Express Train left at 11 o'clock from Platform Nine and Three-Quarters. [p. 91]
Oh man, that’s some convincing evidence. Evidence of what, I have no idea, but it uses math and I’m sure it’s very alarming!
" Sorcerer's Stone " is also called the "Philosopher's Stone", and is very, very Satanic! Rosicrucianism teaches that an Initiate will pass through five stages to become the highest Adept possible, to be most proficient in exercising the power of Satanism. They call this process the "Five Stages In The Transmutation of the Soul". The final stage is depicted by the Phoenix Bird; the Adept is then said to have achieved the "Sorcerer's Stone". Thus, the fact that the term, "Sorcerer's Stone" is in the title of this book suggests that the ultimate goal of all students at Hogwarts is to achieve the Sorcerer's Stone.
Wow, that sure is an interesting interpretation of the rock that shows up in the book for like 6 pages and then is immediately destroyed! Alternate theory, if you’re open to it: It’s a rock, named the Philosopher’s Stone because the Philosopher’s Stone is historically the name of a rock, called the philosopher's stone, and it's literally just a rock and doesn't mean anything Satanist because it's a fucking ROCK.
(Pictured: A rock)
There’s a really odd part right after the long discussion about how alchemy and unicorns and whatnot are Satanic Illuminati symbols, where CE just takes a moment to explain the game of Quidditch. No commentary beyond a sassy little “[Even the Quidditch balls are 'enchanted'].” Just . . . sort of letting you know how the game is played.
To be fair, this is quite a valuable service, since I don’t think anyone actually understands how Quidditch works, but I’m not sure what it’s doing sandwiched between two declarations of Harry Potter’s obvious evil.
PART THE LAST THANK GOD: WHO THE FUCK NEEDS A SUBTITLE IT’S ALMOST OVER
The first few paragraphs are standard boilerplate conclusion stuff, reiterating the rest of the story, continued misunderstanding that bad things are done by the bad guys, no there really are drugs and Illuminati propaganda in here I promise, yadda yadda. Nothing noteworthy except for the fact that I found this sentence absolutely hilarious:
But, most horribly, we see depictions of Satanism that are truly End of the Age. We see the symbol of Antichrist, the Unicorn.
And so I leave you with this one final thought, because it’s all I can fit into the saggy mush that was once my brain:
From Genesis through Revelation, God demands His people separate themselves from the evil around them! SEPARATE! SEPARATE! SEPARATE!

I did my birth chart a long ass time ago but that one wasn’t as detailed as this one (it’s got sextiles and shit). I’m gonna post this one with its descriptions partially so I can find it again and also just for funsies. (I find it very difficult to argue with anything I’ve read in here, just so y’all know... lmao #draggt)
Very long post, but I tried to use formatting to at least break it into manageable pieces. The pronouns and shit (sometimes it’s like “you [xyz]” and sometimes it’s like “he [xyz]” or whatever) jump all over the place for some reason, but meh.
I’m gonna do the houses in another post to try and split it up.
sun in gemini
With the Sun in Gemini, the urge for self-expression is strong. These natives are often just as interested in collecting information as they are in sharing it. Curious to a fault, Geminis have a finger in every pie. Solar Geminis are flexible and changeable people. Their ability to adapt quickly to new situations generally gains them plenty of friends and social contacts. Usually quite clever and witty, Geminis enjoy intellectual conversations and they are easily bored if they are not getting enough mental stimulation. Often quite adept at fitting in with others, Geminis easily adopt the moods of those around them. They are friends to people from all walks of life, and are not easily intimidated. Their ability to detach themselves can make Geminis very objective and observant, but a little difficult to get close to. Although they often have many friends, intimacy doesn't come as easily to Solar Geminis. It can be difficult to know what Gemini really feels at any given moment. They are often very impressionable and scattered. There is usually a nervous air to Geminis that can make more personal characters a little uneasy. It is not always intuitive to trust Geminis to be loyal or to keep secrets. Geminis often flit about, moving quickly and keeping busy every step of the way. Many people with this position of the Sun have gained quite a bit of knowledge in their lifetimes, but they don't often possess specialized knowledge. This is because Geminis have relatively short attention spans. Restlessness is especially common with this position of the Sun. Usually quite affable, Geminis enjoy the "light" side of life. This tendency to take things lightly makes them quite pleasing to be around; but it can be maddening to people seeking support on the deeper issues in life. Geminis are both interesting and interested. Their wit can be dazzling and their changeability dizzying. At the very least, Geminis will seldom bore you.
Gemini ascendant Scorpio | Sun in VII
You take pride in your ability to negotiate, and to establish harmony in your relationships. It is important to you to have a partner, as you feel incomplete without one. You are motivated to become well-liked, and you are especially sensitive to rejection. One of the lessons in your life may be to avoid putting harmony and others' opinions of you above your own needs. Use your social skills and seek out peaceful relations with others, but try not to over-identify with your partnerships and the way you are received by others. You may marry someone with a strong personality.
moon in gemini
Lunar Geminis are usually pleasant, witty, and charming people. At home and with family, however, they can be moody and irritable at times. People with Moon in Gemini are always interesting people--they have a finger in every pie, are curious to a fault, and are generally well-informed. Nervousness and worry are common traits with this lunar position. An underlying restlessness is common, and many Lunar Geminis need more stimulation than others. They usually read a lot, talk a lot, and think a lot with this airy, mutable position of the Moon. Their homes are often a perpetual work-in-progress. They generally dislike housework, but are big on home improvement. Re-organizing their homes in little--and sometimes big--ways seems to keep them happy, as Lunar Geminis are easily bored by both routine and constancy. Often, this is a reflection of their inner world--"the grass is always greener..." applies here. Inwardly, Lunar Geminis are often unsettled. Moon in Gemini parents are generally more adept at handling the intellectual needs of their children than emotional ones. Others' complicated emotions, in general, can be difficult for Lunar Geminis to handle. In their families, Lunar Geminis often take on the role of organizing get-togethers. They are at their best when they have plenty of things to do beyond routine. Moon in Gemini people almost always have a way with words. They are clever and witty, and more often than not can be found chatting with others. They are sociable and friendly, and feel comfortable in crowds. Some pay too much attention to what everyone else is doing, and lose touch with what they really want to do. Generally, Lunar Geminis have a million and one projects going. They are impressionable folk, and their imagination is boundless. Their openness to new ideas is admirable, although decisiveness and persistence take a blow as a result. Still, versatility and adaptability are some of the stronger traits of this position of the Moon. When irritable, these people can easily become snappy. Their moodiness is complicated--this is not the same kind of moodiness you'll find with water sign moons, for example. Usually, difficult behavior stems from inner restlessness. Lunar Geminis want to do it all, and have trouble sticking to any one project. When problems arise, the first instinct of Moon in Gemini natives is to talk things out. Their tendency to analyze can give them the appearance of emotional detachment. In fact, Lunar Geminis may be especially comfortable talking about their feelings, but feeling their own feelings doesn't come as easily. Those that don't take time out to really emote and understand their own needs may end up baffling others. Feeling misunderstood is common for Moon in Gemini natives. The only real solution to the problem is learning to get in touch with their own feelings.
Moon in VIII It has a tendency to having deep and profound dreams. Romantic fantasies. Is interested in the occult. While you have a strong need for emotional security, you are also a person who is drawn to pushing your own limits, and many lifestyle changes can be the result of this need to challenge, or reinvent, yourself emotionally. You are always fascinated with how people work, taboos, secrets, and all that is forbidden or hidden. Sexual unrest, or an apparent need to constantly change sexual partners or to challenge yourself sexually, may be a symptom of emotional insecurity. Connecting with another person intimately is an emotional need, but your changeable emotions might often get in the way of your goal. Jealousy and possessiveness might also be qualities you struggle with. At your best, however, you are a person who is intimate, deep, and intensely loyal to a partner.
358 Conjunction Moon - Mercury You can be quite expressive and animated in your speech. You have an outstanding memory and tend to pick up a lot of information from your environment. You love to chat and to exchange ideas. Even if you are shy, once you're friends, you love to talk about pretty much anything under the sun, and you enjoy sharing stories from your past! For the most part, you are focused on day-to-day activities in your communications rather than on grander philosophies. You are naturally curious and interested, and others find you very easy to talk to. You are accommodating and curious, but you are not as well equipped to handle heavy emotional demands. You thrive on change and variety. You might be a little addicted to gossip! More probably, however, you are simply very curious about others. There is a twinkle in your eyes, and you are never short on humor. You are playful and versatile--you make a fun companion and an interesting friend. You listen! Yes, you do talk and occasionally interrupt in your excitement, but you are a curious person who does want to hear what others have to say, and that is a real pleasure. In fact, you are more able than most people to get others talking, simply because you are very receptive and sympathetic. You pick up others' feelings and body language readily.
210 Sextile Moon - Jupiter It is generally pleasantly composed, due to an inner sense of harmony and emotional balance. It is optimistic--and realistically so, most of the time--which contributes to its overall "luck". It is able to get a real perspective on emotional matters that not only benefits its outlook, it is able to offer support to others when needed. Broad-mindedness is a wonderful characteristic. Quick to find humor in situations, it is generally warm and fun to be around. Deep down, it believes in the basic goodness of people and of life in general, and this basic and natural attitude helps it to attract positive circumstances and to make good connections. One of its best qualities is tolerance. Usually, it doesn't take life too seriously in the sense that it believes in having a bit of fun. Its hunches are more often than not bang-on. It is frank, honest, optimistic and generous. It likes good cooking, its comforts. Its friendships are sincere. It is a worker and knows how to surround itself with the right people: It is appreciated at work.
-182 Opposition Moon - Saturn When Moon is in hard aspect to Saturn in the natal chart, natives need to learn to trust others more. Fear keeps them from fully enjoying personal relationships, and fear is behind the occasional rigidity that they express. When they let themselves receive nurture or care from others, an inner voice cautions them that it might not be sincere, long-lasting, or enough! There can be some reluctance about becoming a parent, but once taken on, these people don't take their responsibility lightly. Emotional reticence is the main theme of these aspects. Many people with this aspect had a lot of conditions placed on the love they received in early childhood. They tend to expect the same later in life. With hard Saturn aspects, individuals are often plagued with doubts, not only about the self but about what to expect from life itself. The problem is that expecting difficulties or negative situations creates an aura around them that perpetuates the problem. They must work hard at positive thinking and expecting more from life. Ironically, many people with hard Saturn aspects can be quite sarcastic, skeptical, and rigid in manner. This is essentially a defense mechanism designed to protect themselves from harshness in the world. It is extremely likely that they feel neglected because they perceive it in the first place, and later expect it, to be the case. There's a vicious circle going on here that can only be broken when the patterns created by negative conditioning are broken. Adjusting one's perceptions and expectations is the key to breaking out of these negative patterns. Otherwise, natives of hard Moon-Saturn aspects will live life feeling left out--attracting circumstances that perpetuate a feeling of deep unhappiness and dissatisfaction.
-149 Opposition Moon - Uranus It has a feverish, non-constructive restlessness. It is too susceptible. Its life is full of change. It is irritable and stubborn at times due to an inner restlessness that is hard to satisfy. It has difficulty concentrating on a job. Nervous strain. Its friendships are like its professional and love life - sometimes unstable. There is a strong need for closeness, but when people get too close, it gets cagey, as it values personal freedom just as much.
mercury in gemini
Mercury in Gemini people are generally quick-witted. They can come across as somewhat scattered, and this is mainly due to their eclectic interests. They seem to know a little about everything. Turn to Mercury in Gemini people for lots of facts and figures as well as broad knowledge. Their learning is a little superficial--they generally have too many interests to delve too deeply into any one. These people learn best in a stimulating environment. They get bored easily, but they are fast learners. Impressionable to a fault, Mercury in Gemini people pick up more from their environment than most, and they can process information at lightning speed! The restlessness of Gemini is especially obvious when Mercury is placed in the sign. There is a nervous energy here that is unmistakable.
Mercury in VIII It can be tormented at night. It likes research, investigations, inquiries. Studies well. It is fascinated with all that is unexplored, mysterious, taboo, secret, and psychological. Loves research and has a great mind. It wants to know the motivation behind what people do. May have a good mind for financial strategies. You speak with authority and others listen, having strong persuasive powers which should be used carefully. You tend to feel that everything we do and experience has a purpose. You have a great, investigative, and penetrating mind and you are excellent at developing strategies, as well as communicating them with others.
131 Conjunction Mercury - Mars It likes to discuss, likes polemic. It has good judgment and is determined. It is a worker and has lots of energy. It has a lively intelligence and goes to the heart of things. It is enthusiastic, incisive, and energetic in thought and speech. -18 Opposition Mercury - Saturn It is reserved, conservative, ambitious and stubborn. It might have problems expressing itself, particularly verbally, due to shyness or fear of criticism. Social success may be slow and laborious, but it does not give up easily and is patient. Whatever you say and write is self-censored to some degree. It's hard for you to pour out your emotions, no matter how emotional or needy you feel on the inside. This is because you are always aware of what others might think of you with what you say. You are careful with what you reveal to others. You make plenty of disclaimers, and often come across as negative or sarcastic without intending to. You often review conversations you have had with others, and you often kick yourself for saying something you didn't intend to, or for not saying something witty. There can be some feelings of insecurity about how you speak and communicate in general. Self-consciousness and hypersensitivity is experienced with regards to your intelligence and/or ability to get ideas across to others, especially in youth. You need plenty of positive feedback from others in order to feel more confident and less "blocked". Recognize that you are most likely harder on yourself about how you communicate than others are. Ask people close to you for an objective point of view. Chances are, they find you to be astute, intelligent, and an effective speaker or writer. We often tell our kids "don't worry about what others think", but telling this to a person with a hard Saturn aspects is not enough, nor is it realistic. They will worry. You rarely accept compliments whole-heartedly, yet you crave them and need them. Others around you tend to stop complimenting you, feeling that you either don't need compliments or don't want to hear them. Nothing can be further than the truth!
-240 Opposition Mercury - Uranus It likes polemic, to criticize and, above all, to contradict. It lacks diplomacy and tends to dissipate her energy. It cannot stay in the same place, likes change even if it means a backward step in its professional career. -23 Opposition Mercury - Neptune It makes errors of judgement, and lacks sincerity. It lets things happen, and is happy in its dreamworld. Confronted by reality, it is hesitant, incapable of being tested and falls back into its imaginary world. It might become a drug-taker.
venus in taurus
Love for Venus in Taurus centers on the physical world and creature comforts -- they revel in sensual surroundings. These people project themselves as solid and comfortable. In fact, something about their manner promises they will be satisfying lovers and partners. They need a certain measure of predictability and dependability in their relationships, even if their Sun is in the more spontaneous signs of Aries or Gemini. Venus in Taurus people can be possessive in love, and they are threatened by fast-paced, high-energy situations in the context of relationships and love. These are sensual partners who require lots of "hands-on" expressions of love. Their lovers may complain that Venus in Taurus can get a little too comfortable and settled. It's true that they resist change in their relationships, but even when they seem stuck in a groove, you can always reassure yourself by remembering that they are constant partners. Pleasing Venus in Taurus involves emphasizing your loyalty, and their worth to you. You may need to give in to them in love matters, because they won't readily give in to you! Get physical with them; do comfortable things. Avoid pushing them in love -- give them plenty of time. You will probably need to cultivate patience if you are in a relationship with Venus in Taurus. Remember to be simple and natural -- Taurus will appreciate it. Promise them a comfortable, cozy time. Love arrives slowly, without passion but with force.
Venus in VI It may be devoted to sick or poor people. Might work in a medical or social setting, where it meets its partner, who is a great help professionally. Your expressions of love and affection are practical and helpful. Being of service to a partner is especially important to you. In fact, you might go to great lengths to be available at all costs to a loved one. While you may not be flowery or showy when it comes to expressing love, you show your love by your availability, rendering services, doing practical things for a loved one, and other thoughtful "little" things. Many of you are talented at design work, as you appreciate and pay much attention to all of the little parts that make up a whole, with the goal of finding order and harmony in these systems. If you are not careful, you might pass up on true love opportunities in favor of relationships that serve a practical purpose in your life, or out of fear that you might not find better. Selling yourself short may be something that keeps you from going after what and who you want.
-141 Opposition Venus - Pluto In an attempt to control the outcome of a love relationship, or the loved one's feelings, you can turn to manipulative games. Even if you do "succeed" at it, there is never a feeling that you've won someone over for who you are, and this feeds a vicious cycle that you should try to avoid getting yourself into. Your feelings are intense, and even extreme, when it comes to love. You might attract intense relationships that have love-hate themes as a result. You are passionate when you love, definitely, but also passionate when you hate. You easily put pressure on your partner, as you expect much loyalty and honesty in your intimate relationships. Be careful not to let your relationships get to a point where your partner is superfluous and you are working through your own inner demons through him or her. Certainly, you will learn much about yourself through your relationships, and you may not always like what you see. You will meet yourself (the "darker" side or inner demons) through your relationships, and it will be critical that you recognize it as your own "material" and not project it onto your partner. Letting go of a relationship can be hard for you to do, especially if Venus is in a fixed sign (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius). -152 Opposition Venus - Ascendant It goes to excess in her pleasures, frequents doubtful company. It lacks good taste. It is very spendthrift, but spreads its money around its circle. Its friends are more self-interested than sincere.
mars in cancer
This position inclines toward passive-aggressiveness. These people seem to resist change and to shy away from direct confrontations. They need to feel secure before they act. As a result, they can appear rather slow at times. Their motto is "The best offence is defense". They may appear weak to some, but they can be very strong. Their strength lies in their tenaciousness. Their sex drive can be very tied up with emotional need. At their best, they turn others on with a protective, almost therapeutic way about them. The protective nature of Cancer is best expressed when Mars in Cancer natives are turning the energy outward -- when they are being the protectors of others. Turning it inwards is when there are problems. They must avoid over-sensitivity and self-protection when it comes to sex. Some Mars in Cancer people are especially turned on by the thought of creating a baby. These people are threatened by indifference. They can be argumentative and manipulative. Their energy levels are variable, and they can appear to move rather slowly. They have defensive reactions and bursts of emotional displays when they feel cornered. With reassurance and confidence, these natives are protective, helpful, and dependable in the long haul. They prefer to handle situations peacefully and humanely.
Mars in VIII Sexually very powerful, it is also capable of tremendous focus and hard work. Sexually intense and deep. Is adept at professions requiring research, strategy, uncovering truths, and analysis. Arguments may occur over inheritance. -3 Opposition Mars - Uranus It is full of contradictions. It is original, tending to the eccentric, violent, headstrong, impatient and irascible. It fights to the bitter end to overcome hurdles, and has the strength to overcome them.
-61 Opposition Mars - Neptune This is a challenging position, as you have difficulty trusting in your ability to go after things that you want in a direct manner. It may also be that you have difficulty pinpointing what it is that you want, or that part of you doesn't feel you deserve it due to a basic lack of self-confidence. You fear rejection as well as criticism, and often use roundabout means to go after what you want. Your imagination is so powerful that it can be hard to trust your instincts. You easily imagine things going wrong, just as you easily fantasize about good things! Your desire nature is strong yet also very suggestible. You're attracted to mysteries and intrigue. Sexual experimentation is likely, as you are forever addicted to sensuality and unusual or perhaps even what many would consider perverted sexual scenarios. However, your sensual appetite might be much like a bottomless pit, and you could find yourself forever in a state of wanting more, tiring of regular sexual scenarios quickly, and endlessly searching for the next sensation. If an addiction to fantasy is present, you can find yourself constantly chasing a new and more complicated fantasy. It is only when you get into touch with your heart and discover your true desires that you realize that sensations are merely sensations--not deeply satisfying or fulfilling. Fears of sexual inadequacy can be great with this position, and you may either deny yourself as a result, or overcompensate, seeking out experiences in which you are pretty much assured positive feedback. Some of you will experience both of these extremes in your lifetime. Although you can be very creative at keeping your motives and personal agenda hidden--in fact, many of you seem on the surface of things to be quite gentle and yielding--you might eventually become resentful if you feel the need to resort to sneakiness in order to get what you want out of life. If you do feel resentment for giving up your power to someone else, learn to avoid giving it up unless you truly understand that you are doing it for yourself, and not for someone else. Resentments have a way of building and distorting themselves into ugly matter if you don't deal with them properly and directly. You are often passive-aggressive in your approach to others, and this can cause a lot of problems in your life. You are usually found chasing a dream... or a fantasy. The former is probably the better path. Adopting a more direct and assertive approach to life is something that you should be working towards. You will need to get over your feelings of guilt when you do adopt this approach. Learning to take responsibility for your actions, and to avoid blaming others for failures, is important. At your worst, you can be disorganized in your approach to life, easily procrastinating and lacking follow-through when you do begin a task. Some of the most important lessons you need to learn in life are self-control, self-assertion, and trust in yourself. At your best, you are a creative person with a powerful imagination and great stores of compassion.
24 Trine Mars - Pluto It is ambitious, has a great capacity for work, has self-confidence and goes to the end of its plans.

It is lucky in love, but also professionally, with pleasant working conditions and duties. It loves its children and gets much enjoyment from them. 63 Trine Jupiter - Saturn It is serious, patient, honest, hard-working, orderly. Its judgment is good and it thinks things over. It pursues its objectives to the bitter end, usually knowing when to choose the right moment. It is upright and respects the law. -46 Square Jupiter - Lilith It will ruin herself in order to please its partner. On the sexual level, it will go to considerable effort to please its partner. In order to possess the partner more, it will ruin herself financially to get whatever the partner might want. In spite of all that, the partner is never entirely satisfied. It will be very disappointed in love.

Financial advice is important to obtain.
