Every once in a while, as a writer you have a moment where you think to yourself: “I like this a lot.” This was one of those moments for me. While not directly inspired by my own life events, this song is about self reflection, and the relationships we have in life. First, our relationship with ourselves, and thoughts of where we come from. Secondly, our familial relationships, and how they can be, at times, embarrassing, or anger inducing. And third, our chosen partner relationships. A relationship that maybe, leaves you feeling like you have more than you deserve. Reflecting on these relationships, and coming to the understanding that you are the person you are because of them. I’m not sure if that makes any sense, because it’s very late, and I should be asleep.
