Just posting this because I finally decided to create a backstory for my horrorbrew oc Feldeltá but I wanted to update the rest so here it is. Trigger warning there is some triggering stuff mostly in the backstory with one in facts. Just warning you just in case so if your sensitive to the stuff mentioned in tw then do not click keep reading. ~Blaze/Dawn

Personality:

His personality can range differently around other people. For starters he usually acts like how a guard dog should, act loyal to their owners and attack their enemies. Feldeltá is no different from this. Around people like family or people that he considers friends (Mostly Luigi and Princess Peach) he’s completely loyal to them. He’s pretty much like a golden retriever being up close to them, very playful, gentle and extremely trustworthy. To those close to him he can’t see them doing any wrong. For strangers it really depends, they typically just lets them be. Unless he has a reason to he will attack them e.g. they’re loved ones get attacked or they simply sees said person as a threat. For enemies he does not go easy on them. Since he considers them threats he pretty much results to attacking them. He doesn’t like them. He mostly acts this due to his (Mario’s) DNA being merged with some DNA similar to a guard dog.

Powers:

- Enhanced senses = All senses are height in order to protect people he cares about e.g. Hearing = While humans can usually hear around 50-100 feet dogs can hear around 80 feet up to a mile possibly further. Feldeltá can hear as far as a dog can usually hear. Smell = He can smell up to 20 km. Sight = Feldeltá can see up and recognise someone as far as 900 meters.

- Great Strengths = After since the incident Feldeltá body has change in many ways in order to remain stable with two completely different DNA in the body. One of these changes is immense strength, though Mario already has superhuman strength this has increased since the incident as will as due to them training as well.

- Reaction Time = Althought this isn’t possible considered a power regardless his reaction time has increased in order to protect loved ones

- Power ups in Mario games = they can still use them but they don’t do it often. Mostly uses their strength.

Weakness:

- Emotions = This is pretty much his main weakness. Although most of the time he is able to maintain his emotions however there will be sometimes where his emotions gets the better of him. If he gets too sad or angry he immediately starts attacking with no reason until he has calmed down. Opposite end of this is that if he gets too happy e.g. like when a dog meets someone new he likes to cling himself to them. Although this doesn’t seem too bad sometimes he accidentally hurts people and goes too rough on them e.g. knocking them to the floor, accidentally scratching them which causes him to get upset at the fact that he has hurt them.

- Dog Based Weakness = Due to them having some DNA similar to a guard dog in them they started developing things that dogs don’t like which can be bad depending on the situation e.g. being yelled at, being left alone, being sensitive to certain fragrances, muzzles, bright lights.

Backstory:

It was a normal day for the people in the mushroom kingdom. Bowser had just kidnapped Princess Peach again for the umpteenth time and Mario had managed to save her from him once again. At first Mario didn’t mind it but just like everyone else the more times it has happened the more annoyed he got. Honestly he started getting sick of Bowser trying to kidnap her and take over the kingdom it was getting annoying. He didn’t mean it in a cocky way he generally was getting sick and tired of it. It didn’t help that he started getting more and more guilty for not being able to put a stop to it sooner. All of this was starting to take a toll on the poor plumber so in a desperate attempt to stop it so he ended up going to a nearby hospital and talked to a doctor so he could get stronger. At first it just started off with normal things like vitamins and supplements but Mario wasn’t satisfied. To him no matter how many he took it didn’t give him the results that he wanted, he even resulted in taking the amount more than recommended. He ended up back desperate to become stronger despite the doctor’s wishes. He ended up resulting to taking many steroids while although it was starting to get the strength he needed at least physically being overcome with the need to protect his loved ones in a desperate final attempt he asked the doctors for some help. He didn’t care if he had to change himself he wanted to protect people like his brother and peach. In a final attempt to help him the doctors ended up creating some sort of liquid that involves combining different DNA’s making it similar to a dog or more specifically a guard dog. They ended up injecting it into Mario veins. Luckily for Mario this finally gave him the results he wanted however thanks to having said liquid in his veins it ended up overwriting his sense of humanity and just like how a dog doesn’t like the vet he ended up attacking the doctors there in response to seeing the needles and other equipment thinking he was going to get attacked. He ended up killing the doctors there and escaped into the woods away from everyone. Slaying enemies and ended up meeting Bowser who he nearly killed him as well before being interrupted by Luigi and Peach who were looking for him after hearing what happened at the hospital. They both ended up taking him in sensing he was in the right mind and tried their best to return him back to normal but weren’t able to so they ended up having to settle with how he was. A completely loyal guard dog. He ended up earning the nickname Feldeltá due to how loyal he was causing him to either respond to either that or on the rare chance Mario (but the most people got was an ear twitch).

Facts:

- Besides just being a random thought I had Feldeltá was also inspired by another exe oc belonging to militaryherobrine (oc named Madio). That inspired me to do my own take on the thought of Mario being a feral guard dog.

- His looks were inspired by the Cat power up in 3D world due to there being no official dog power.

- After what happened at the hospital their gloves ended up fusing with their hands and formed into claws. However the rest of their clothes can come off like normal.

- The rips on their clothes were caused from their time in the forest. However both Peach and Luigi had tried to get them to wear different ones but Feldeltá has flat out refused to change so they just let them keep it. The only time they take it off is either them or the clothes need cleaning.

- Feldeltá has 4 fingers and 4 toes just like a dog. No one really knows what happened to the 5th finger or toe but people assume it’s because of what happened at the hospital.

- Feldeltá isn’t from a specific game or isn’t trapped in one (like other horrorbrew/exe) rather this is an actual situation that has happened in that world.

- If the other horrorbrews like MX, Mr Virtual, Horror M (Similar characters to them) were to meet Feldeltá they will most likely recruit him as a pet and use them like a guard dog (like how Nekoamon is considered MX’s pet).

- Feldeltá doesn’t have any faker forms or true forms. They only have two separate looks being their current look and their previous looks Mario.

- Feldeltá has Iatrophobia (fear of doctors) + Nosocomephobia (fear of hospitals) + Trypanophobia (fear of needles) thanks to what happened in his backstory.

- Feldeltá isn’t considered a ‘bad guy’ but rather an anti-villian which means although the goals they have are overall good the way they get to them is considered evil.

- Despite being very smart Feldeltá can be persuaded easily as long as you treat them nicely. As said in personality as long as you treat him nicely and Feldeltá likes you they can’t see you do any wrong.

- Adding on from the previous point he really can’t tell the difference between actual nice people or people taking advantage of him.

- He likes to bring dead bodies to people he cares about. He considers it a sign of trust.

- They’ve pretty much lost all interest in most human food but aren’t interested in dog food. Their diet now mostly consists of meat. Human or animal.

- Feldeltá can somewhat speak but due to their humanity being overwritten they’ve lost the ability to fully form sentences like they used to. But they can somewhat communicate at least good enough to say what they want most of the time.

I scrambled around the corner and into the kitchen. "WICKS, we gotta pack today!!"

He looked up from his phone. He leaned further on the kitchen counter next to the fridge and gestured with his mug, "morning Lentils."

"WICKS."

He lifted up his other hand and waved me off. "It'll be fine." He took a sip.

"OUR FLIGHT LEAVES AT 8 IN THE MORNING TOMORROW!" I exclaimed. I pointed to the hall. "WE BOTH GET OFF LATE, SO WE GOTTA PACK NOW."

Wicks smiled softly. It held a lot less vigor than usual. "Let's relax for a while first. I woke up late." He took another sip and tapped his hand on the kettle. "GeeEEt-"

Then pulled his cup forward and waved his hand around. His voice released a slight yelp, and he brought it up to blow on it.

I went over to him as he set down his mug. "Wicks, why did you think that was a good idea? Are you okay?"

He chuckled, "I was trying to smack it to offer some but forgot it's not cool yet."

"Yeah!" I looked over his red fingers. "Run it under some water, come on."

I pulled his hand under the cold water.

He exhaled with his smile, "you never change, do you?" I glanced over at him and the tender look in his eyes. "You always look out for me."

"We look out for each other," I let his hand go.

"Don't we." Wicks chuckled. He twisted to grab a mug from the cabinet near him and handed it to me to get some tea too.

"After this, will we pack?"

"Then we pack." He confirmed.

I took a sip of the tea, camellia. I also put myself on the counter, on the same side across from the sink. We sipped in silence. I could feel the tension between us. And neither of us really spoke for the rest of that time. Though I felt nervous, the fact that Wicks stayed close and refused to leave was enough for me.

He saw her car not too far from his. He took a breath and opened his back door. He grabbed his backpack and then closed it. That's fine. I'll get her back today. He locked it after and went up the ramp to the back door. 

He scanned his badge at the sensor for the door to open. 

He heard the plumber man coin noise for his text messages. He pulled it out and squinted down at the new messages. Dad.

Dad: Who are you leaving Sasha with when we leave? 1:54 p.m.

He raised a brow. What do you mean?

Alexander: She's coming with us. 1:55p.m.

He made his way down the hall, passing the first breakroom.

Dad: Alex, you know it's going to be hard to watch her while we're there. We can leave her with Penelope. 1:55p.m.

He cringed like hell. I wouldn't trust her within a mile of Sasha. She has too many damn cats; she's a lover, not a fighter. 

Alexander: Not happening. I'm watching her. 1:56p.m.

Dad: Penelope's trustworthy. She'll make sure Sasha's taken care of. And don't you want Sasha to have friends too? 1:57p.m.

Alexander stopped, and turned into the first break room, ignoring the two who said hi. Well, more so Drake, who said hi, and Lynette nervously glancing at him.

If Penelope does one thing to upset Sasha, I will kill her.

Alexander: Okay. 1:58p.m.

He replied and put his bag onto the oversized couch in the breakroom. 

He read the reply, and the tender string hadn't gone away. The nightmares got lighter, at least.

Lynette

A Jenkai? The conversation never left my mind. I wished I could research the term or ask the others. I feared what might result if I did. My fingers rattled against the counter in wait for a customer. Edgar messaged in chat the week after my vacation that we were allowing event nights again.

I would have asked further if I wanted more stress. I wanted to avoid pizzeria thoughts while I was with my family again.

Why did Alexander have to go on vacation the same week as me? I asked. I was at least relieved I only had to worry about him today, as Lev was off to make up for coming in on Saturday.

He didn't even explain his game on break, so what should I prepare for? It's most likely a video game, possibly a fighting game. I straightened up once a customer came in. I prepared my brightest smile.

Today and that's it, Lynette... I weakly lifted myself.

Drake

"In case you somehow start winning, do you mind throwing?" Alexander questioned.

Not that it matters. I won't hear the end of it all week when you can't get Lynette. Drake smirked sardonically at his thought.

Alexander finished setting up the console and looked back in time to see it. He groaned with a slight smile, "what's with the grin, fucker?"

"Nothing." Drake turned his head. "Why don't you give her a break today?"

"AFTER YESTERDAY?!" Alexander went around the coffee table and plopped back on the huge couch with his controller, "like I'm gonna let her get away with that. I won in those last seconds."

Drake sighed. "You can't be mad at her for finding a way to beat you." 

Alexander set up Krazy Kart on his portable console in "underhanded ways."

Drake picked up one of the controllers on the table. "And a human arm wrestling against a wendigo isn't underhanded. How...?"

"Shut up." Alexander took his eyes off the game screen after they got to the character menu. "I only did that because she texted me last minute...and I wanted to win."

"You didn't technically win either, did you?" Drake sassed further. 

He scrolled through the character options. Alexander reached over and got the controller on for Lynette. 

"YOU really wanna start things today, you ass," Alexander said with a playful nudge. "And I gotta fuckin' handle a week of it too, damn." 

Alexander hated when Drake listened in on his heart. He referred to it as "creepy." Not that Drake minded. The vampire beast still listened. It was such a familiar sound after all these years. The stupidly honest way Alexander answered. He never held malice toward Drake. 

Not even when they were younger, he always had some sort of sympathy or frustration. 

"What is it that you always say, "sounds like a you problem."" Drake replied. Alexander groaned louder. 

Drake rested his back on the cushions. I can't say I've felt the same, can I?

Alexander

She sat on the far end, opposite Alexander. He tried to focus on the game and not look her way, but her scent wouldn't leave him alone. Like always, I've been building up anticipation since yesterday. He picked his kart and awaited the other two.

"Have you played before, Lynette?" Drake asked.

"Not really. I played online a few times. My siblings don't like video games."

"Wenna and Ulysses weren't big fans of video games, and I wasn't either until this glutton roped me into it." Drake gestured to Alexander.

Alexander rolled his eyes, "you're welcome." He ran the term in his head, "I'm not a fuckin' glutton. I don't eat as much as that Dragon probably does."

"You're just as bad." Alexander picked up on her mutter.

He pulled up as they were selecting maps. He picked random. He looked over from Drake to Lynette. 

"Repeat that again, shrimp." Alexander flicked up a smile, "you wanna see bad?"

She hopped in her seat as the match was starting. 

Alexander watched the glance Drake gave her. I shouldn't do that when he's between us, should I? Or he's gonna wanna fuckin win.

It was four races between them and NPC's. And it was tense. He had the packs with many old maps, so he could use some of the old shortcuts, but Lynette wasn't that bad at keeping up. Yet...in the end, Alexander did win. 

Drake got out from between them, going to get his lunch. He got up and stretched. He wanted to take his time and get a little sweet revenge. Though as he looked at her expression, his shoulders dropped. He had shifted to tower over her, but the event at the Halloween party sprung into his mind. 

She turned her head away and shut her eyes tightly. Her shoulders raised in anticipation for his giant fingers to wrap around her as usual. He shied back, the embarrassment scrambling over his cheeks.

At the same time, the emptiness below argued with him. His body soon reached forward, but he didn't grab her as usual. He couldn't get her arms, and a yelp escaped her.

"If you're going to do it, don't prolong it, please!"

The position forced her to face him. He had to keep his own eyes closed, not that it helped. 

This is stupid. She's food. I want to eat her. 

He leaned over the couch and felt one of her hands inch closer to his open maw. His body was more than willing. And the first taste he's had in days of her relit that feeling. It amplified the chills.

His tongue traced up her closed hand. He relished her sweetness; humans were one of the only things he enjoyed. Every flavor was unique, and Lynette's was the best to him.

"Xander!" She gasped, squirming to break his grip. He refocused on her, no longer plagued. He placed both of her arms into his right and held them firmly. His other grabbed at her waist and helped lift her up with him. 

He pressed her hands and arms into his glistening mouth, his craving taking over entirely.

Lynette

My feet hung off the bed, Sandra cleaned me off, and I sat up once I woke up. Far more used to it than I wanted to be. It's fine...it's over for a week.

The woman with beautiful vibrant dark brown hair held out the resignation paper as usual.

I shook my head. "No, thank you, Sandra." I have a week without any of them. 

Sandra pulled it back and walked over to her desk, "I hope you enjoy your sisters' wedding this week."

"I will," I said with confidence. I pushed off the bed.

She spoke up before I reached the door, "Lynette since you'll be gone during it, happy two months."

Sandra did little jazz hands at me.

I smiled at the motion. "I appreciate it." I grabbed the knob.

"It's going to be quieter without all of you here." She said as I got to the door.

Quieter...I wish Alexander could have gone on vacation at the same time as Lev. I thought to myself as I left. I got into my car and drove home. A whelming feeling of joy and light dread. Only two months.

★ It turns out, or rather, I remembered after some years' time, that I actually like public speaking and reading/performing for an audience. I find it less stressful than more relaxed social interactions, having to speak to a doctor or plumber or what have you, meeting a friend of a friend for the first time, etc. The expectations and duration are clearly defined, I don't feel any pressure to "tone it down" in order to seem normal/chill/regular/polite, I get to be the undisputed focal point of attention, and people at least have to act like they're interested in what I'm saying!

★ My partner and I went to see some Fringe shows while we were in town. I especially enjoyed Myles and Dan's sketch comedy (pretty self-explanatory; I will note that they make out on stage, like, 150% more than I was expecting); What You See When Your Eyes Are Closed/What You Don't See When Your Eyes Are Closed, a poignant and bizarre audience participation-heavy piece about dreams, nightmares, aging, love, and the nature of seeing/observing; Darkfield's (yes, I know, it sounds like an evil version of Garfield) Eulogy, in which you sit in a completely dark shipping container and listen through a headset as you're taken on a binaural soundscape journey through a Kafkaesque hotel with a guide who probably isn't all that trustworthy. It's the weirdest combination of extremely unsettling and almost ASMR-like sensory pleasure!

★ We spent a little time in Glasgow, and...it kinda looks shitty compared to Edinburgh, but I liked/felt more at home with the vibe! It reminded me of Pittsburgh and Philly! That combination of trash/run down-ness and beauty springing out of it and big city chaos and people who maybe come off a bit rough but are really kind/generous.

“If you ask my family,” Kevin chuckled around a hamburger, “I got Dad’s good looks and sense of humor, while all I got from Mom was her attitude problems.” Beside and across from him the Tennysons chuckled into their drinks.

“She seemed perfectly nice to me,” Rook said, face twisting in confusion. The Tennysons’ laughter cut off abruptly, both turning to him with wide eyes.

“You’ve met his mom?”

“She was nice to you?!” Sitting up straight, Kevin fixed Gwendolyn with a glower.

“My mom hasn’t been mean to either of you.”

“That doesn’t mean she’s been nice,” she tossed back with a glower of her own.

“She’s better about it than your mom.”

“My mom doesn’t keep weapons conspicuously around.”

“Hey, she only does that for you.”

“Oh, that’s much better-”

“How the hell did you meet his mom,” Ben asked, ignoring the argument going on across the table- ‘dinner with the in-laws’ had never gone well with either side of that couple- “Gwen had to damn near pull teeth to get Kev to introduce them, and I only met her for the first time because she got invited with Kev to a family thing.” With a curious noise, Rook took a sip of soda.

“And she was mean?”

“She was polite and professional,” Ben said with a shrug. “You could tell it took more effort with some people than others.”

“I did not see any effort,” Rook said, “but she came to the base to speak with Patellidae and seemed polite and professional then as well.”

“Huh.”

“I just don’t know why she hates me,” Gwendolyn all but hissed across the table, drawing attention back in that direction.

“She doesn’t hate you,” Kevin said, rolling his eyes, “she just doesn’t like or trust you.”

“Why the fuck not?! I’m perfectly likable and trustworthy!” There was a glimmer of hurt in her expression, but for the most part it had been subsumed over time with determination to win Ms. Jones’s approval and aggravation at repeated failures. The most the woman had ever given her was that she made Kevin happy, and that until that stopped being the case she wasn’t going to make an issue of it.

“You remind her of your grandpa,” Kevin said like it was the most obvious thing in the world- across the table Ben nodded and slipped a “Grandpa Max took a lot of effort” to Rook- “And after fucking up so bad with Harvey…” Kevin shrugged. “She’s a little protective. She means well.”

“She means well,” Gwendolyn repeated in a mocking tone. “I don’t see her getting uppity about all the trouble you get into.”

“She doesn’t get uppity about you.” Kevin paused. “Well, one time, but Argit’d told her about the thing with Looma, it was a whole fight.” The other gaped for a moment before Ben burst out laughing.

“How the fuck did you breaking Looma’s heart get her salty about Gwen?!”

“Gwendolyn.”

“Gwendolyn?!” Rolling his eyes, Kevin buried himself in his burger like it might save him. When the others continued to watch expectantly, he huffed.

“Was something along the lines of ‘how poorly did I raise you that you chose a Tennyson over a kingdom’,” he said, “and it kinda devolved from there. Was mostly about the Looma situation and how I handled it though.”

“Mm-hm.” Ben looked at him expectantly, taking a sip of smoothie. “And was the emphasis on ‘Tennyson’ actually there?” Hemming a bit, Kevin nodded.

“She actually hates the older Plumbers in your guys’s family. And G’s mom, but that’s a whole other deal. I thought it was because they didn’t eat Dad at his funeral, was real young but I remember people being angry at the dinner, but Kakhul says she hated them with a passion even when he was alive, so…” He shrugged. “Like I said, her problems with G include ‘reminds me of Max’.”

“Okay, yeah, that’s established now,” Gwendolyn said, she and the other two wide-eyed once more, “backup a bit? She’s upset they didn’t eat your dad?” Mouth twisting into a frown, Kevin blinked.

“Yeah? Dad was Savaran, you eat the dead at a Savaran funeral, not doing it’s really fucking rude.” They all gaped for a moment before Ben reached over a clapped a hand on Kevin’s arm.

“Kev, buddy, I’m not eating you.” Raising a brow, Kevin laid a hand over his.

“Benji, buddy, I’m outliving you. G’s the one has to worry about it.” Forcing her mouth shut, Gwendolyn pasted on a smile.

“Joy.” Kevin snorted.

“If you love me, G, you’ll eat me or not show up.” She did not looked convinced, or happy. Across the table, Rook coughed, pasting on a smile of his own and raising his soda.

“May you give her plenty of time to choose.” Laughing, Kevin threw an arm around Gwendolyn’s shoulders and raised his own drink in kind.

“If I’ve got any luck left,” he said. “Hopefully I inherited some of that from Dad too.”
