trump is talking about privatizing the sector of the federal government my husband works for, and cutting the work force dramatically 🫠

not only bad for 800 ethical reasons (he works for a branch of the military so privatization would just increase financial incentives for conflict) but for us that would be pretty devastating. it would probably mean moving states and selling our house, possibly moving back in with our parents at 33 depending on the job market. establishing a life in an entirely new place where we know no one, again. i have a totally normal amount of anxiety about this that i am handling extremely well, as can be expected /s

#they already have taken away his ability to work a hybrid schedule because of trump and elon so. if we do conceive i will have to give up my #job and we will have to take a financial hit. having a baby is historically not a great time to take a financial hit.#i just............hope some trump supporters are suffering genuninely i do. and that's mean and i don't care.#i hope every single one suffers ten times more than any trans person or queer person or south american/mexican immigrant has because of #trumps admin and to quote ethel cain i hope while they suffer the realization of what they did hits them like a clap of thunder and they #will have to live with that guilt forever.#streams of consciousness #politics
