Latino men? Not surprised. My father was Latino and he was so full of shit we left him to die alone. The toxic machismo makes them undesirable to a large amount of Latinas and they get big mad at the numbers of women in the community don't actually want them.

Don't date them. The few good ones are treasures but the worst ones make Andrew Taint look like a flower boy and it's hard to search through a sea of shit to fine a genuine gem.

This is the actual poll from NBC breaking down voting results by race and sex. While over half of white women did vote Trump, they voted less than they did in 2020 and the second largest group that voted for him this time was Latino men. This isn't something you can point at white women and only white women and say, "THEY'RE the reason why." But then again the kind of people doing that will find another group to blame before the week is over. It's the third party voters, it's white women, it's middle America rednecks, it's Arab-Americans who refused to vote, it's performative activists that whined too much about Palestine, etc. Someone's got to have the smoking gun that led to him getting elected again.

And while not every white woman who voted Trump did so for this reason, consider how many men recently declared that their wives would vote however they wanted because they knew they could intimidate their wives.

Maybe the majority of Americans are first and foremost concerned with themselves and nobody else. Maybe Americans generally have a philosophy of "fuck you, got mine" and a desperate desire for convenience, and a lot of them were eager to believe anything Trump said because he was able to pander to their desires for the ever nebulous and changing economy to get better. Maybe he was able to stoke people's fears about illegal immigrants and trans bathroom bills and say that the current administration abandoned "real Americans", with all of the ugliness and prejudice that phrase implies.

Maybe being an even louder and even more aggressive defender of Israel and Zionism, refusing to call for any kind of ceasefire and calling anyone who protested terrorists helped bolster a largely Christian Zionist voter base. And maybe the Biden administration and democrats as a whole were too complacent for four years until they realized that Republicans have always been able to turn out in record numbers when pissed off enough, and aren't prone to the ideological splintering that Democrats are.

Maybe one reason white and Latino men in particular voted for him was because so many men are threatened by the level of autonomy and freedom women have achieved in America compared to any other point in the country's history (and maybe we should use this as a sign to keep fighting to protect each other)

And combining all of that with the fact that most Americans are still uncomfortable with the idea of a female president, especially a Black woman like Harris (I don't care WHAT people say--she could've been Mother Teresa with melanin and most of these people would have still voted for Trump or any opponent that was male) contributed to how he won by such a large margin

So apparently now that I'm fully independently licensed as an LPC in Texas, I now have to do the following to be able to accept insurance:

-get a personal NPI (national provider identifier, something any healthcare professional can sign up to have); Difficulty: Super Easy, Barely an Inconvenience

-get a business tax ID (which you just go to the IRS website and fill out a few online boxes, say "I want to start a new business", and it just....spits out a number for you?); Difficulty: This Is The Easiest Governmental Process You Will Ever Experience Like Honestly What The Fuck

-fill out a profile with CAQH (Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare) ((which apparently we need entire nonprofit organizations devoted to this in the United States of (Fucking Over) America(ns))), which is a long fancy form explaining who you are and what credentials you have and your education and experience and references and suchlike, so any insurance carrier can pull the information they require from it; Difficulty: Much Like 3.6 Roentgen, Not Great, Not Terrible

-Fill out an application form with every. single. goddamn. insurance company you want to be in network with. They all want basically the same information but their own forms and websites and supporting documentation uploaded in their own special way; Difficulty: IT'S BEEN THREE HOURS AND I'VE ONLY COMPLETED TWO TONIGHT, I'M GOING TO BURN DOWN MY CONGRESSMENS' STUFFED TRUMP PLUSHIE COLLECTION FOR NOT SUPPORTING BERNIE'S MEDICARE-FOR-ALL OPTION I SWEAR TO GOD—

-wait "45-90 days" before I get approved or not with each insurance carrier I applied for; Difficulty: ennnnuuuuiiiiiiii

In 2013, after 10 years of the same party occupying the President chair in Brazil, brazilians startes some manifestations, initially not against the president but when more people picked it up they used it to speak their voice. And their voice was against the president. Our president at the time wasn't against it but she said we should be careful because it could turn into an extreme right wing tool to manipulate popular opinion and bring darkness back. What an accurate observation.

Three years later she was reelected. People couldn't deal with it. They were fed up with this same party again, they sToLe from us, how could she have won? And for so little difference? That can't be! I remember I voted for her so I was cheering but God were people mad. And they started to calculate, and say it was impossible, that just minutes before the counting ended the other candidate was ahead of her. I remember keeping up with it via Twitter and some big celebrities that were in a dinner party at the other candidate's house tweeted saying it was done and he had won (mind you, they'd start releasing numbers later, but the candidates were receiving calls with updates). I remember there was a picture of the other candidate 's face when he noticed he had lost. Still one of my favorite moments.

So people were like...they must have faked the election. But they didn't. People voted for her. But opposition anger was so strong that they went to the streets again demanding her out. And there is only one way out for an elected president in Brazil: an impeachment.

The Congress needed to accept one of the many many impeachment reports that were being sent in. All big reaches. The president of the Chamber of Deputies had beef with the president because she refused to support him and make her party vote against an investigationg against him so...he chose one that he thought could pass, made sort of some sense. Turns out she made some budget jugglin to delay some payments in order to cover national expenses. Nothing absurdly wrong but since there is no law allowing it then...must be wrong. So there they went to fullfil people's desire to see her out, even if she WAS rightfully elected but they didn't seem to believe it. Obviously the narrative was being manipulated, she knew, but we couldn't really fathom what exactly was behind it. And she took it as the winner that she is.

At the time, Bolsonaro was a member of the Chamber of Deputies. I knew him well since 2010 so I wasn't looking forward to his vote during the impeachment process. And yet I was torturing myself watching the circus go on. He went up there and voted Yes for the impeachment in "memory of Colonel Brilhante Ustra" the man that tortured president Dilma during the militar dictatorship. Ustra is a torturer and openly known, shamelessly, as Bolsonaro's hero.

She was a lot skinier and a looked tired at the end of it all, but she tooks it as well as someone can. When asked how she handled it, she said that after she was throughly tortured for years in the 70s, after that kind of pain, you learn that you can't show weakness, you can't cry, and you learn how to hold it in. The impeachment was easy compared to that.

They took her out. After the final voting round, in the Senate, senators said they knew that she didn't commit any crime enough to impeach her, but it was politically necessary. That is WRONG and against the Constitution. In the grand scheme of things, that's why we call it a coup.

At the end of the day, a mass of people was manipulated in 2013, after manifestations began with a solid honest indignation about public transportation in São Paulo, that began to spread all over the country for various reasons that turned into a rise against the federal government.

What felt like a rebelion, teenage and poor people anarchy against abusive prices was apropriated and became the deafening sound of a rise of conservatives.

Now our president is that man that voted our President out in memory of her torturer. Now our President allows the Amazon burning and blame natives for it to the whole world. Now our president if fucking dumb, a scum of society, a liar, a puppet, Trump asslicker with a loud fanbase.
